BI 7 : Command to export a table structure of SAP R/3 into a script/text ?

Hi All.
Greetings.
Am New to SAP R/3 system. And request help.
We are trying to pull data from SAP R/3 thro Bussiness Objects Data Services into Oracle.
For now : we create a target oracle table looking at the table structure of SAP R/3 from SE 11.
In BODS, We then do the query transformation, and use the oracle target table created by us manually.
This works absolutely fine.
We would like to know the command by which we could export the table structure of any existing table
in SAP R/3 into a script / or to text file,
which we could use to create the same table structure in oracle.
Rather than manually typing some 200 field names for each tables.
Can anyone advise on this.

Hello,
The problem is caused due to the spaces in your directories
C:\SAP Dumps\Core Release SR1 Export_CD1_51019634/DB/ADA/DBSIZE.XML
Replace the spaces with underscores and restart the installation from from scratch.

Hi Silviya,
you can access this database using a technique called DB Multiconnect - sometimes written as multi-connect.
Search the SAP documentation and notes for this term and you will find how to do it.
Essentially you configure the remote database connection via transaction DBCON.
If your SAP system is not running on Oracle you will need to install the db-specific kernel files for Oracle along with the Oracel db client software - SQL*Net.
Then you can access the Oracle database from ABAP using native-SQL. It works a treat!

I try to export a schema structure with rows=n option in exp command. As log records show the procedures had exported too.
Do we have any way to export a schema tables only?

Differences in Depreciation key table structure between SAP 4.5b and mySAP

Depreciation keys in SAP 4.5b were stored in a different table structure to depreciation keys stored in mySAP ERP 2005. Deprecation Keys that existed before the SAP upgrade still exist in the old set of tables; these have a status of Migrated in SAP. Any new or modified depreciation keys will only be reflected in the new set of tables; these have a status of Active. Of course, there is a third Depreciation Key status, Inactive, which means that it is not in use.
There doesnt seem to be any documentation on the mapping between these tables. I need this in order to update our custom reports.
Can anyone help?

Major difference is ECC6 is netwear product having WASJAVA+ABAP
secondly support unicode apart from this we have other diff. you can get fom master guide from service.sap.com/instguides
For installing ECC 6.0 you required a solution manager key.With out solutionmanager key you cannot install ECC6.0.
For ECC 6.0 is called netweaver component here you have ABAP+JAVA stack.
ECC6.0 supports UNCODE.
For installing 4.6 you don't required solution manager key.It only having ABAP stack.
4.6C supports NONUNICODE.

Sorry, this is the Oracle Repository forum.
However, Perform an oracle export from the schema i.e.
exp un/pw rows=n
and then perform an import:
imp un/pw indexfile=afile.txt
This will will have all the structure you need but will need editing to create a runnable script.
Alternatively use Oracle Designer to reverse engineer your schema, the DDL can then be generated.

The server is a 4 node RAC with 16 CPU per node.

If all you want is the table definitions, why can you use something like:
expdp user/password direcory=my_dir dumfile=my_dump.dmp tables=schama1.table1,schema1.table2,etc content=metadata_only include=table
This will export just the table definitions. If you want the data to, then remove the content=metadata_only, if you want the dependent objects, like indexes, table_statistics, etc, then remove the include=table.

The script creates scripts that can be used to recreate a table structure.
For example, this script can be used when a table has become fragmented or to
get a defintion that can be run on another database.
CREATES SCRIPT TO RECREATE A TABLE-STRUCTURE
INCL. STORAGE, CONSTRAINTS, TRIGGERS ETC.
This script creates scripts to recreate a table structure.
Use the script to reorganise a table that has become fragmented,
to get a definition that can be run on another database/schema or
as a basis for altering the table structure (eg. drop a column!).
IMPORTANT: Running the script is safe as it only creates two new scripts and
does not do anything to your database! To get anything done you have to run the
scripts created.
The created scripts does the following:
1. save the content of the table
2. drop any foreign key constraints referencing the table
3. drop the table
4. creates the table with an Initial storage parameter that
will accomodate the entire content of the table. The Next
parameter is 25% of the initial.
The storage parameters are picked from the following list:
64K, 128K, 256K, 512K, multiples of 1M.
5. create table and column comments
6. fill the table with the original content
7. create all the indexes incl storage parameters as above.
8. add primary, unique key and check constraints.
9. add foreign key constraints for the table and for referencing
tables.
10.Create the table's triggers.
11.Compile any depending objects (cascading).
12.Grant table and column privileges.
13.Create synonyms.
This script must be run as the owner of the table.
If your table contains a LONG-column, use the COPY
command in SQL*Plus to store/restore the data.

How to export oracle table?

Does anybody knows how to export oracle table into sql format? I know by using PL/SQL Developer can do it,but I have a table,it contains a column,it's type is LONG,PL/SQL can't export it! How to export long type table into sql format?

Command to Export project as Final Cut Pro XML from jsx script

Hi All,
Can somebody get me the command to export the project as final cut pro xml from jsx script.
I was using the extension builder script earlier for cs6 panel development, so we were using pjct.exportFinalCutProXML("pathname");
Now I am working for panel in Premiere CC so working on HTML 5 panel and qe dom scripting(.jsx).
In some jsx examples i got there is script to export sequence as final cut pro xml but cannot get the code for project export.

When you reimport the exported project XML to FCP, do you get the full project or just the single bin/sequence? If you get the full project then it sounds like you need Premiere help, not FCP help ... have you tried asking on the Adobe forums? If you only get the single bin/sequence then it seems you might have inadvertently selected those prior to creating the project export. Try making sure that your FCP Browser window is active and that you have not selected anything within that window prior to using the File > Export > XML command. If that still causes issue then you might try using an earlier FCP XML version.

If I understand the question, it sounds like you just need to add the flag "ROWS=N" to your export command (I assume that you're talking about the old export utility, not the Data Pump version).

ABAP-command to check wheather a field in existing in a spec.table/structur

we have a tool to do corrections to CO-PA-transaction data.
Because we have different structures for different operating concerns (and therefore different dynpros for those different operating concerns) we now want to dynamize this tool.
The idea is to have one dynpro with the maximum number of CO-PA-fields and to control via a functional-module which vields are existing for one operating concern and those are not existing for that operating concern to change the attributes to non-changeable.
Is there any command in ABAP to check if one field (e.g. one valuefield) is contained in one table-structure (e.g. table-structure CE1xxxx) ?

Export table structure in datapump

Oracle Version : 10.2.0.1 and 11.2.0.1
Operating system:Linux
I need an help regarding to export only the table structure in 10g.
In 11g when i tried to export table structure for the tables which starts with ST_LO_% it works fine and here is the output for that export statement.

Export and import only table structure

Hi ,
I have two schema scott and scott2. scott schema is having table index and procedure and scott2 schema is fully empty.
Now i want the table structure, indexes and procedure from scott schema to scott2 schema. No DATA needed.
What is the query to export table structure, indexes and procedure from scott schema and import in scott2 schema.
Once this done, i want scott schema should have full access to scott2 schema.
Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production

How to export and import only data not table structure

I am not much aware about import ,export utility please help me ..
I have two schema .. Schema1, Schema2
i used to use Schema1 in that my valuable data is present . now i want to move this data from Schema1 to Schema2 ..
In schema2 , i have only table structure , not any data ..

In schema2 , i have only table structure , not any data ..Nothing wrong with exporting the structure. Just use 'ignore=y' on the import. When it tries to do the CREATE TABLE it (the CREATE statement) will fail because the table already exists, but the ignore=y means "ignore failures of CREATE", and it will then proceed to INSERT the data.
