B1iSN2007 - Step by step manual

Hi folks!
I recently installed the new ramp-up version of B1iSN2007. Now I am trying to find some step-by-step documentation on how to create biu's, on how to create bizpackages, on how to define value mapping,...
I found lot's o manuals that describe the usage of B1i in 2005. I found lot's of "sample codes" that show biu's that transfer data from one B1.2005 system to another B1.2005 system.
There are also tons of marketing-sheets that describe the technical basis of B1iSN2007.
What I am missing is something like a B1iSN2007 step-by-step manual for newbies.
Can anyone tell me, where to find such a piece of documentation or can anyone help me with the creation of a simple B1.ITM 2 B1.ITM scenario in B1iSN2007?
I have no real idea where to start.

The ramp-up version of B1iSN2007 has to be downloaded from the SAP PartnerEdge Portal. The version of B1iP2007 on the Business One CD does not contain all of the needed information.
So first is that it depends on which version you have.
As far a documentation on Customizing B1iSN2007, there is documentation that comes with the version that you download such as the development guide which discusses creating new adapters, BIU's etc. You can also use the BIU documentation on SDN with respect to customizing. The heading of the document states it is for B1i 2005, but the same techniques apply.
As far as Value mapping, installing, configuring B1iSN2007, configuring R/3 and Business One ... that documentation is in the Documentation folder on the ramp-up version you download.
Using B1iSN2007 requires understanding of SAP Business One and R/3 and well as customization of BIU's requires knowledge of XML and XSLT.

Outlook 2010 Quick Steps - Address Book issue

It was suggested I ask this question in the Windows 7 forum, after I posted it in the O365 forum...
Environment: Wave15 O365, on-premise users/groups, dirsync'd to O365 (ADFS). No on-site exchange servers. Users use either OWA or Outlook 2010 full client (part of Prof Plus 2010).
We have verified that the personal address books have had their 'show this folder as an e-mail Address Book' checked.
When we try to setup a Quick Step in the Outlook client on a Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 machine, it appears to be looking to the local machine's Windows Address Book, instead of the Outlook address books. It
only shows an Administrator E-mail Address. The window top does say Address Book: Global Address List. We cannot see any other address books.
When I login as the same user on a Windows 2003 R2 machine (citrix full desktop), it properly sees all of the address books, so it's not specific to the user. It appears to have something to do with the Operating
System.
Ideas?

The first step - a book ?

I have college experience using Java 2, working with Swing etc. but want to learn about Java Server Pages.
Could someone suggest a suitable practical, tutorial/examples based book to get me going? I consider myself a beginner. There are many books out there, so I appreciate your suggestions and help.

There are a number of excellent online resources but once in a while it's kind of handy to have a physical book at hand. If that's what you want, I'd wholeheartidly recommend Marty Hall's stuff, specifically "Core Web Programming, 2nd Ed." and "Core Servlets and JavaServer Pages, 2nd Ed."
I've not had a chance to read O'Reilly Publishing's JSP specific stuff, but I've been very happy with their other Java offerings and I'd definitely consider their books to be near or the top of the list. I think they just recently came out with a volume on Struts which does incorporate JSP, Servlets and tag libraries.

Manual, book, or documentation for moving to office 365

Hi all.
A client would like to move to Office 365 from basic email hosting with clients connected via imap using Outlook 2010. I have read a series of articles posted by Microsoft on how to accomplish the specific steps but since this would be my first migration
to Office 365 there are items that are not clear to me though presumably they are clear to others. I know that the clients would like to setup only two or three accounts as a pilot project then if all goes well move them all and use Azure AD synchronization
with passwords to their local domain controller. However, I'm unclear on which order the steps should be performed. For example, can I just start a trial account with three users where Office 365 pulls the email from their current email servers
using IMAP then later configure AD synchronization? Will I be able to specify that the existing accounts are accounts on Active Directory? Or, do I need to setup the synchronization first?
Really, I want to know if there is a deployment manual that answers those questions or if there is a book I can get or someone I can call at Microsoft to get help with planning the migration at least a good overview from A to B where I can fill in the details.
The stuff I've read online seems to have a disconnect from Office 365 setup and the various sync scenarios.
Any help?

Hi If I purchase CS4, does it come with a stack of manuals like Final Cut Pro?

Basic steps to apply my address to book marks

I am new to bookmarks program and I can't add my address list to your bookmark program. Basic steps please

Apply exakt steps from History log file to another image?

Alright. If you edit an image and the history log option is turned on, you can look at the exakt steps you've made with all the settings for the individual tools and effects used. Also steps you make can be recorded with the actions tool.
My question is, are there any way to "play" the steps listed in the history log file, as if it were an action?
I need to apply alot of steps to several images but I never recorded the steps I've made with the actions tool. However they are "recorded" in the history log file and I could go in and look and recreate all those steps manually, but that would take too much time...
Are there any plug-ins or are there any other way to do what I need to get done?

1. you can set your preferences to record the history to a txt file or the files metadata.
I assumed that is what the OP already did as indicated in

As you know there is, it’s Actions (as with Scripting not all functionality records; Edit: and not all functionality is applicable to all files because of Color Mode and Bit Depth for example). But it is up to you to employ the necessary foresight to know what to record beforehand.
Also a non-destructive workflow can help make many effects/compositions/etc. easily transfer-/recreateable.

Step repeated in Exception branch requires exception handler, why?

I have a BPM Integration process with a sync send step calling a RFC. Any system errors and application errors are handled by an exception branch where I send an alert as then re-do the send step (so that it will fail but allow me to restart from that point after fixing the issue). The problem I am having is that in this send step, since it is mandatory to have an exception handler for application errors (defined fault message RFC.Exception), what do I enter for exception handler in this send step which is itself in an exception branch? I do not want to handle the exception this second time since I want this step to fail and process stops here to be able to restart manually later.

I am not sure, how you will restart the step manually? Because once there is an error in the sync send, the message will turn to "Cancelled" status. You cannot restart this message.
Now, for the second send step in the exception block you will not be able to choose the same exception block in the exception handler field. But for some reason if this send also fails then you cannot restart the process manually - same reason i mentioned above. It will fail as you intended it to do so.

Process Chain step repeat/restart

I have a process chain which schedules 3 loads to psa and then loads the data into ods/cubes. it often fails here due to data problems. now there are at least 4 subsequent steps that are not executed due to this failure which is correct but i don't want to have to fix the problem with the data by deleting the requests from the ods/cube and correcting in the PSA and then have to do all the subsequent steps manually.
Once i have corrected the data in the PSA:
if i repeat the load to ODS step will it continue through the rest of the chain?
if i restart the chain will it repeat the extract to PSA steps which i definitely don't want it to do?
or can i schedule the subsequent part of the chain to run from the planning view?

I guess when there is some data issue, there is always need for manual intervention.

You have to delete the failed request manually from DataTarget before doing this.

Yes. Restarting chain will extract the data again.

I don't think you can start a chain from the middle from planning view.

Load step in Yellow state even after completion

Hi people:
I have a situation here with aprocess chain.
When the process chain is triggered,there is a load step which stays
in yellow even after the load completes. We tried to push the step
forward,but the chain wont progress. So,we had to do the rest of the
steps in the process chain manually.
Why does this hangover step happens in the process chains?
Can some one give a solution to this situation, so that we don't have
to do the steps manually everytime the chain is struck at the step?
Any inputs are appreciated.

Hi,
Check the status of the Process Variant in RSPCPROCESSLOG table. If the status of the variant is not 'G' then the process will not move to the next step though the loads complete succesfully.
In this case you have to change the status to 'Completed' (G)manually.
This could be done using the Function Module 'RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH'.
Provide the below details in the FM
1) I_LOGIN - Login ID of your process variant (you can find this in RSPCPROCESSLOG table)
2) I_TYPE = CHAIN
3) I_VARIANT = Your Proces Chain variant (Optional)
4) I_INSTANCE = Double click on the object which was struck and click on Backg tab. Copy paste the instance.
4) I_STATE = G.
Hope this would resolve your issue.

CTC DI all-in-one fails at Step: Upload Default ACL Settings

i need your help.
I tried to install a NWDI on a SolMan (Rel. NW7.01 SP06).
I deployed the necessary SCAs (DI_CBS, DI_CMS and DI_DTR =7.01SP6).
At the next point I'd like to use the wizard for the initial setup (DI all-in-one) and here are my problem.
At the step "Upload Default ACL Settings" it aborts with the error: Not a valid URL: Unexpected character found [':' at position 7]
Here an an excerpt from the log:

I checked the default Users. The NWDI_ADM, NWDI_DEV and NWDI_CMS (The NWDI_CMS was manuel created) exists and have the expective roles/groups and actions (e.g. NWDI_ADM = Group NWDI.Administrator = Role NWDI.Administrator + Action LcrInstanceWriterAll)
I checked the log/protocol and the strange argument there is dtrUrl : http://:/dtr.
I think the wizard is missing the right hostname an port for the as java. I tried to execute the Wizard with FQDN, simple hostname, localhost and edited also the host-file (like in other threads proposed).
The check of the SLD-Connection in the SLD-DataSupplier in the VA are OK (the http-settings and CIMClient Test works fine).
I spent a lot of time at the VA and configtool to finde the possible key with the missing value for the host an port, However with no success.
So now im here and hope some of you can give me an advice.

I have checked the attached error together with our expert for the DI
configuration wizard and found that the problem is most liked caused
by some variables that are not properly set by the underlying
framework (CTC framework) due to problems with the data bindings.
To investigate the problem in more details it is important for us to
know how the engine was being setup. Can you please let us know if you
directly installed the engine or if you upgraded an existing
engine? In case of an upgrade can you please tell us
which SP had the engine before the upgrade?
So if you upgraded from an earlier SP this might explain
your problem and we would directly know in which area to look.
Unfortunately we cannot offer automatic configuration
after an upgrade case (see our central CTC note: 923359) exactly for
such reasons (besides of that CTC don't know the state after the
upgrade). Configstore does not offer to add new parameters only to
modify.
As workaound you can try to run DI template and everytime where it
stops, do the step manually and skip the not working step.

60min usage subscription steps to make a call

Have office 365 60min subscription. .when i make a call in skype., it asks me to buy credit...i logged in using Microsoft account. How do I make a call using the office 365 60 min per month subscription? I couldn't find any video or step-by-step manual or tutorial to make a call using a subscription. All I could find is how to call in skype, which is irrelevant in this context and ..its frustrating. .

Got the answer to my question...lol..
The world minutes for office 365 includes calls made to landlines (and optionally to mobiles) to a select few countries only. As I was calling to a destination country that wasn't in the selected "few" countries, it displayed the "buy credit.." message to make a call. I tried calling to one of the selected "few" countries and was successful in the call.
I would suggest if the message to be displayed is more contextual to the problem like "You do not have credit and/or the existing subscription doesn't allow for calling to the destination number"..
Meaningful answer. isn't it Sype developers?? If yes, hope you change accordingly.

One step is not recorded during LSMW

Dears,
Please kindly help:
i make a recording in LSMW for VT03N tcode. My steps are:
VT03n
F7 (Shipments and deliveries)
Print preview of view (*)
Save to local file.
The problem i face is that Print Preview of view step (*) is not recorded in LSMW and i need to do this step manually.
Could you pls advise how to resolve this problem, if any possiblity exists.

I was just trying to do this very thing with the same HV20 camera.
Just figured it out.
Refer to page 42 of the HV20 instruction manual.
While the firewire cable is NOT connected to the camera follow the instructions to set the PLAYBACK STD to Auto or HDV. Then set the DV OUTPUT setting to DV LOCKED. The camera will do the down conversion and it will appear to the iDVD as a DV cam.
iDVD one step will then recognize the camera and begin the capture process. I have just kicked off the process so I can't verify that the end state will be a great DVD copy, but at least I can get you started. Hope it helped.
