BI client RFC error
Hello everyone,
I am trying to setup BI and ERP on same system. it has successfully worked on one system but i am having an issue on another one.
When I try to add an "SAP" system in RSA1 via Source system, after feeding the required credentials and logging in to client, the system returns following error :
Error in source system QASCLNT260
Message no. RSAR502
Diagnosis
With Remote Function Call to system QASCLNT260 error Screen output
without connection to user. ccurred.
Procedure
Remove the cause of the error.
Whereas,
QASCLNT200 - BI Client
QASCLNT260 - ERP Client
Could you please help in resolving the error.
thanks ..
Hi,
First of all, Juan, this has been a supported scenario since the release of 6.40. BW and ERP must be in separate clients, though. So, basically, create two clients -- one for ERP, one for BW -- import the BW content into the BW client and then perform the customizing in each as if they are actually in separate systems (logical system settings, RFC connections, users, etc.).
Your problem is pointing to a configuration issue with these settings, although you have not given enough information to say exactly which setting is incorrect.
Best Regards,
Matt

this means that you're checking an incorrect RFC dest
- open IDX1
- click on port SAPCP0
- double click on RFC dest which is over there to open it
- ctrl+F4
does it work?

Transaction IDX1: Port SAPPRD, client , RFC destination contain errors
Hi all,
when I send an IDOC from Xi to R/3 I get the following message in XI monitoring:
Transaction IDX1: Port SAPPRD, client , RFC destination contain errors
ERROR= 2:IDOC_ADAPTER(151)
However everything is maintained correctly (i think) in IDX1. I can upload the IDOC metadata with IDX2 from the R/3 system.
I seems that Xi doesn't have the clientnumber available. (should be 600) but is not mentioned in the error.
Did I miss something?
Thanx Ron

Settings in XI side.
1. Create the RFC Destination(SM59) with connection type 3, pass the target host pass is R/3 server name and logon tab enter the R/3 logon details.
Test the connection is success and check the Remote login button it's connecting the R/3 system or not.
2. Create the Port IDX1 and pass the client number is (R/3 client) and pass the RFC destination which you created above.

1. Create the RFC Destination(SM59) with connection type 3, pass the target host pass is XI server name and logon tab enter the XI logon details.
Test the connection is success and check the Remote login button it's connecting the XI system or not.
2. Create the TRFC port to transfer the IDOC'S and pass the RFC destination which you created above.
3. create the logical system in BD54 this name should be same as XI logical system name.
4. Create the partner profile (WE20) and partner type is 'LS' with inbound parameters and pas the appropriate values.
Let me know if you have any issues.

It is showing this error and the idoc is not posting to the SAP. When i checked out the IDX2 i am not getting any such structure of our IDOC type, So do i need to create the structure manually, or will it create automaticallywhen the idocs willposted .
Is there any import and export option for this.
Please treat this as urgent , thanks in advance...Hi Jay,
how did you create port using IDX1 ,I think you must have to follow the naming convention there.Any user given name might not work.
I think in your case , create port as SAPRP1 using IDX1.
can you you give a try with that.port name exactly same as SAPRP1.

RFC error in idoc to file scenario in PI 7.0
Hi Experts,
I am getting a RFC error message like this below
:u201D RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: An exception occurred that was not caught.: com.sap.aii.af.rfc.afcommunication.RfcAFWException: error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: JCO.Exception while calling Z_XI_SEND_MAIL in remote system (RfcClient[RFC_REJECTION_MAIL]):com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (104) RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: An exception occurred that was not caught.u201D
Here Z_XI_SEND_MAIL is a customised function module which is calling some classes. This function module is responsible for sending emails to a group of people. This function module is working fine in acceptance server and development server but throwing exception in production. Thus the users are unable to receive emails. There has been no code changes in the function module. Idocs are being triggrred from sap r/3 system into XI, then being processed by a BPM, finally RFC (Z_XI_SEND_MAIL ) is being called to send email messages. SXMB_MONI is showing that the email message is being send to the RFC properly but communication channel is showing the above mentioned error.
Please suggest me what might be the reason of such errors?
Regards
AnupamHello,
Have you tested the production data in your acceptance system or development system for the interface?
Is it working fine??
It seems that the function module is generating exception, which could be due to data.

You are right. The problem was releated with secstore. I found a SAP note ( Note 1532825 - Deleting SECSTORE entries during system export/system copy). I created the program which ise mentioned in the note and than run it. After that everything seems ok now.
Thanks for your help and interest

RFC Error when using SAPRFC against a Unicode System
Hi Everybody,
I try to use the PHP SAPRFC extension against a Unicode System. When I call the client.php which comes with the source package from http://saprfc.sourceforge.net/ where I added:
"CODEPAGE"=>"4103", // codepage Unicode
"UNICODE"=>"1", // Unicode
to the $LOGIN array I get this error:

Our SAP Environment is:
- SAP Web AS 6.20 Unicode Kernel Patchlevel 1602
- Windows 2003 Server
- Oracle
On the PHP Side I use:
- Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 (Sarge)
- Apache 2 2.0.54-5
- PHP4 4.3.10-16
- SAPRFC 1.4.1
- SAP RFC SDK non Unicode 6.20 and 6.40 (The problem occurs in both versions)
Had anyone had sucess using SAPRFC against a Unicode System?

GregorHi Anton,
I've just tried your suggestion. I've commented out the CODEPAGE and UNICODE values in my Array and placed:
saprfc_set_code_page($rfc, "4103");
after the
$rfc = saprfc_open ($LOGIN);
The error message I get now is:

MAM RFC Error with Order and Notification SyncBo's
Hi everyone, can you please advise on a problem I'm having when downloading 2-WAY SYNCBO MAM objects.
I am able to download all syncbo's to my client with my username. This includes Orders and Notifications.
But.....whenever I use a different username only some of the SyncBO's come over. I am missing MAM25_001 and MAM25_010 data. Here is what I have done so far:
- Ensured username had exactly the same SAP security profile as I do, including the MI authorization objects.
- Ensured username was configured the same in the IMG.
- Re-generated and re-replicated my SyncBo's.
- Checked table MEREP_10100. It showed no Order or Notification data.
It does not make sense why everything works for me, but not for other usernames on my network.
Here is the RFC error I get from the Middleware using MEREP_MON:
RFC system Error:
Z_MEREP_GEN_S01_____MAM25_010 has finished for run number 0000019624 and runtime counter 17.
Please help. Thanks.Hi Alex,
Could you please reply the SP levels of the MI Client, MI server and MAM application?
Also is your client device a PDA?
You could try out few things ( not sure whether they will help)
1. Sync several times (may 6 times) for the other users.
2. Remove the MAM application for the one of the other usernames from the webconsole(which is not able get the data) and reassign it.
3. Try the username on some other device.
All the best!!!

TMS_TM_GET_TRLIST and RFC error
Hello,
I am having problem with RFC call to TMS_TM_GET_TRLIST. Since this function is not remote enabled, I copied it and made it remote enabled. Function works well from SAP but when I call it from PHP, I get:
Errors found during saprfc calls:
RFC Error Info :

Status : EXCEPTION ALERT RAISED
Message :
Internal:
How can I debug this exception and what causes it? Can this be resolved?Hi everyone,
Eduard,
I tried to do what you suggested. I will include output below. However I think this alert is raised because of missing export parameter which is not found during function discover. The parameter I am talking about is export ET_TMSTPALOG and it has following metadata, which can be checked in SE37:
ET_TMSTPALOG
LISTNAME CHARACTER 40
TRTIME NUMC 14
TRKORR CHARACTER 20
TRCLI CHARACTER 3
TRSTEP CHARACTER 1
ALLCLI CHARACTER 1
TRFUNCTION CHARACTER 1
KORRDEV CHARACTER 4
PROJECT CHARACTER 20
TRUSER CHARACTER 12
RETCODE CHARACTER 4
ADMIN CHARACTER 12
AS4TEXT CHARACTER 60
LINENR CHARACTER 10
I added this manually with saprfc_function_define but then after a call I get RFC error again.
Debug info before and after call is displayed below:

RFC error when using BICA in Production
Hi,
After final transport to Prod, we are unable to import schema from queries with dimensions in Prod. Queries without dimensions are OK.
After investigations, we noticed that we have a RFC error :

We tried to reroute our Prod server to BW Quality in file LSDAL.ini and it is working. It seems that we have a communication problem with our BW Prod.
Have you idea of what I should check to solve it ?
Thanks
MattHi Matt,
If you think you may be hitting a PAS maximum for # of hierarchies, you could enable PAS trace and reproduce the import and see if the trace file reports a problem with maximums.
In 7.5 you can enable this from the Administration section -> Set Application Defaults (system defaults?)
This will then automatically create files like:
a. DEFAULTGUEST436816399_both.txt
b. DEFAULTGUEST436816399_cmd.txt
c. DEFAULTGUEST436816399_time.txt
in your u2018/Homeu2019 directory (u2018...Files\SAP\SSM\ApplicationServer\homeu2019).
In this instance DEFAULT is the context name, GUEST the PAS username for the context, and the number a numeric sequence generated for uniqueness. You may need to shutdown the SSM Extended Listener service in order to look at the trace files.
The _both.text file has the best info.
Can you restrict the dimension in the query before you import it to see if it loads?
Thanks,
