it's sufficient to post in one forum for the same question
bw business content objects have version delivered, active and modified version. sap delivers the business content objects in delivered version (D), so when you install bi content 3.53, all the activated business content objects from version 3.52 won't be overwrite/replaced, it will keep using 3.52.
but the next time you activate new business content objects, it will transfer the 3.53 delivered objects to 'active' objects.
yes, you need backup, since bi content 3.5x come as 'add-on', i think there is 'no return'.

Error UCD1038 regarding Movement Type after upgrade

During testing for the BW upgrade and implementation of BPC, the SEM-BCS data collection resulted in an unexpected and unnecessary error: Maximum selection does not contain value 600 of subassignment Movement Type; Message no. UCD1038.
Both before and after upgrade the task log shows Source records with the movement type but with no value in transaction currency, local currency and group currency. But after the upgrade these records also appear in the Target log where there had previously been excluded.
SAP Note 1583871 was implemented without any noticeable improvement.
The SEM-BCS data collection uses load-from-datastream with a source databasis that is virtual cube reading data from the ECC leading ledger. The source data is unchanged and before the upgrade the error did not occur.

GUI_DOWNLOAD is giving # for other than english content

Hi Guys,
I am using GUI_DOWNLOAD FM for downloading internal table content. When my table has content other than english language, my downloaded file has only # symbols.
I getting code page number for the language using FM NLS_GET_FRONTEND_CP and passing to GUI_DOWNLOAD. Even standard ALV download also doing the same. Please sugest some solution for this.

Problem is solved now by giving the code page as 4103 and marking the field write_BOM as X in GUI_DOWNLOAD FM.
You guys are are correct. I am in Unicode system and using SAP 4.7 version. Now it is working fine. But one more problem with GUI_UPLOAD.
I am using Office 2007. I have saved excel file in 2003 format. When i try to upload this file having Korian text/Russian text using the FM ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE last two rows are not coming properly. Tried with FM TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP also. Below is the code snippet.

After 4th row 4th column it should take 5th row 1st column. But it is taking as 4th row 5th column. Also in 4th row 4th column u can see some # symbols and KO after korian text. This value KO should be the 5rh row 1st column value.
When i run the same program in office 2003 machine with the same file it is working perfectly fine.

Error 0006:1860:4027 500 internal server error

When I click on Sync for Active sync to run, it seem to sync up the contacts, calendar and the mails but at the end of it , it fails with the following error message:

I dont have access to the Exchange Server nor our IT will be able to help me with this. Any help why this is happening will be very much appreciated.
It worked perfectly with my Earlier Centro device. I got it replaced today due to some hardware issue and this wont just wont sync without this error.

Hello!
Could be due to too much content being indexed for that initial sync and the buffer for the phone is being overtaxed. You could try to change the filter to get the last 1 day of message and subject only but oftently this is solved by moving a good chunk of the emails/contacts/calendar in Outlook/OWA into sub folders and do another sync. If its ok, then start moving the data back into the parent folders little bit at a time between sync to ensure your not going to exceed the buffer on the Centro.
The catch for EAS is that it wants to index EVERYTHING on your exchange server for that inital sync.

I am new to SAP Basis Team, Consultants are saying that standard business contents are not installed in BI system. What package should I install or what is the steps I should Do. Following is the content of SAINT

Business Content Display Problem in SAP BW 3.5

in RSA1 Trcode am not able to see Business Content tab at all,but when i click on Transport Connection tab then i could see Business Content tab but NO objects are displayed in left Frame like InfoProviders by InfoAreas ,InfoObjects by Applicaton Component ,and even when i use the RSORBCT Tcode also the same sort of display.
Has anyone faced this problem earlier and solved if YES pls help in this regard as it is very urgent for me.

#1. Check your SAP GUI version.
#2. I recently had what MIGHT be a similar problem. In using BEx WAD, my screen did not correctly display some of the components. The cause was a file that held status information on my screen properties, a file that had become corrupted. To solve the problem, all I had to do was log off all SAP components, then delete all files in the directory c:\documents and settings\[userid]\Local Settings\Temp.
Worked for me. If it works for you, email me an ice-cream cone!

Ting on ECC side BW Business Content is installed via so called plug-ins.

Since you are running ECC and not R/3 in this case SAP delivers "all" plug-ins in one package called PI_BASIS. In your case it seems that you are on same level of this component which is:

I'd try to activate IOBJ in BC, but all of them that need 0DB (Dun & Bradstreet) has problems in activation like that (like a sample of errors).
I opened an incident to SAP Support, but unitl now I don't have any answer.

Okay, sorry I think I jumped right in without knowledge of version. So I think you will have to reinstall the business content and before that you will have to activate the business function in SFW5.
You do this in transaction SFW5, open the folder Enterprise Business Functions.
For the Business Function DUN_BRADSTREET_CONTENT turn the Flag Planned Status (Business Function will be activated)on.
Activate your setting by clicking on the button Activate Changes.
Also refer SAP Note: 425632 - BW Content for Dun & Bradstreet which talks about activating the busness function before installation of business content for D&B. This SAP note is for BW 7.4.

I'm trying to install the BI technical content for 7.0.( Main Aim is for BI Statisics) I followed the steps mentioned in the note 965386 and the official manual.
When I run the activation in background the job is canceled after a while and the job log is like below:

and the error message is:

When I run this as a dialog job the error message is kind of different, which says:

I found a appropriate note (1039381) for the error RS062 . But this is no Help for me, Reason being
Relese is BI_CONT --- 703 --- Level 0006 .
Even Tho i have followed the above note , Could not find any Entries in the tables.
Could any one Help me Further ?????

You please follow the note 934848 and its suggested to run the report in dialog mode. And before running the report make sure that the inconsistent entries are deleted from the table mentioned in the note 1039381.

I am tying to activate all HR Business Content, and I began activating Personnel Administration.
Every time that I am trying to activate HR Business Contentt objects, the following error message appears:

Hi Sam,
Please check whether datasources are installed and active in the source system.
For remote activation you need role SAP_RO_BCTRA or authorization object S_RO_BCTRA in your profile.
If not active, you can activate via RSA5.
Afterwards, install the transfer rules again.
If you are lower than SPS8, check note 929935.

Hi,
We are doing a new BW7.x implementation and i have a couple of questions in the BI contents installation.
The following are the compenent versions we are using
Component version - SAP EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0
Software Component - BI_CONT
Release - 704
Level - 0006
Highest Support - SAPK-70406INBICONT
1. When we install and activate any BI Contents we get them in the 3.x version - Datasource and Update rules - Why is this? is it not supposed to be in 7.x version.
2. Is there anyway to migrate these 3.x update rules to 7.x transformations - I dont see a migration option in the context menu to do this.
Please reply. Points will be awarded.

Cache Contents Out-Of-Date on R/3 System

We have XI 3.0 sp15 running on mscs windows 2003, oracle 9.2.06.
We also have an r/3 enterprise (470 1x110)system.
In the R/3 System, the sxi_cache shows a red light since we patched to SP15 - Cache Contents Out-Of-Date.
The Complete Cache refresh icon/menu option and start cache comaprison are greyed out and cannot be executed. I have sap all and sap new and an su53 check says all authroisations okay.
I recreated the INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI as this kept asking for a user id, but no longer does. This is resolved.
I have tried refreshing the CPACache on XI but this doesn't correct the R/3 problem. Tried running sxi_cache on XI.
We have the APPINT 200_620 0006 SAPK-20006INAPPINT SAP Exchange Infrastructure 2.0 installed on R/3.
I have checked oss note 663955 - but not relevant.
Also, in sproxset table it has two entries, but one system does not exsist. Could this bethe problem?if so, how do I remove the invalid entry? I cann't check exchangeProfile as it does not exsist.

I can access the exchangeProfile, the entries are correct. The rfc connections all work. I have recreated them anyway. I have also recreated the same entries in the Java Admin Console - Jco RFC Connections.
The R/3 Enterprise system is a non unicode system that has the SAP XI 2.0 Plug in added.
I have the SLDCHECK working properly now.
I have added some parameters into RZ70 on the R/3 System to read the SLD.
In SXI_CACHE, the buttons are not available to run the cache refresh or complete cache refresh. My SU53 says all authorisations check okay.
Could this be a feature of the XI2.0 plug in??

I am trying to find business scenario in business process repository (BPR) for consumer products for MTS from SCM 5.0 (Supply chain mgmt) .
I could not find that option in solution manager 4.0. My scenario is very narrow to consumer products for MTS scenario. How to get it?
If any latest implementation content CD needs to be downloaded from service market place.
My i check system status my implementation content level is :
ST_ICO:
Release 150_700
Level:0006
Highest support package:SAPK-15076INSTPL
Please guide me.

Hi Dolores,
In Solar01, In "structure"tab, under secnario name, if i press F4, i am getting
SAP for consumer products. Under this i am having the following:
1.Brand management
2.DSD paperbased
3.Global data synchronization
4.Mobile DSD order to cash
5.Mobile DSD Van sales
6.Responsive replenishment--- Under this node i am having SAP ECC 6.0 & SCM 5.0, R/3 47 X 200 & SCM 4.1
7. Trade promotion management
My support pack level are:
ST-ICO-150_700-0006-SAPK-15076INSTPL
But what u told as latest is level 0007. What we have is 0006. How to upgrade the patch level?

Dear friends,
I wants to upload implementation content for Supply chain ,SCM 5.0 in solution manager 4.0. from where i can upload that to solution manager?
I am refering OSS Note:883773. In this they have mentioned about so many product instances. What is mean by product instances?
In what way these instances bocomes important for uploading implementation content for SCM 5.0?
