BI Content Administration entries of BO server

Hi
I have installed BI and BO and started integration of BI BO.
My question is.
i am in middle of process like adding entries in transaction /CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN (Content Administration Workbench).
i have given system details and rfc details and also tested the rfc connection its working fine.
now im in HTTP tab and i dont what file path to enter in path content.
web server host is default and port is also default.  But the doubt is what is "viewer application"
when i see this viewer application, in default there is one value (reportView.do).
can any one please help me?
thanks
AS

Hi
i have created one role (Crystal_entitlement) in SAP BI system using pfcg.
Then i have import that created role in BO,
after that i called transaction /CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN to assign that created role in ROLE tab but i couldn't found the role.
But im able to all sap standard roles only, im not able to see that newly created role in ROLE tab in transaction /CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN.
Can youtell me how to get that created role in role tab in transaction /CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN..
thanks

Any help would be really appreciated...
I was trying to create/Maintain JCo destions on Web Dynpro Content Administrator caught up with the 500 Internal Server Error
    Error Summary
While processing the current request, an exception occured which could not be handled by the application or the framework.
If the information contained on this page doesn't help you to find and correct the cause of the problem, please contact your system administrator. To facilitate analysis of the problem, keep a copy of this error page. Hint: Most browsers allow to select all content, copy it and then paste it into an empty document (e.g. email or simple text file).
For further information about the Web Dynpro error page, error analysis and a description of well-known error situations, see SAP note 1113811.
    Root Cause
The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was:

    Possible Reasons:
    1. Some fields for the backend system used to setup the JCO destination are not updated properly (i.e.
    empty) in SLD.
    2. Ensure that the SLD is setup properly. Click on the u201CTest Connectionu201D to check that the SLD is up and running.

  • ATG Content Administration server

    Hi
Could you please explain, how to configure the ATG Content Administration server?

I am not sure what is purpose of thinking of making the ProfileAdapterRepository as a versioned repository. ProfileAdapterRepository handles external profiles which are the profiles for your customers and visitors.
BCC has a link for "External Users" under Personalization which you can use for the management of the external profiles including their organization and role assignments. There is already an instance of ProfileAdapterRepository configured to be used on the content admin server which points to the non-versioned production instance. You may refer this for more details

  • New JCo names are not listing in WB Content Administrator

    Dear Friends,
I have deployed my WebDynpro application on a landscape where the production system got 4 server services running.
Initially the WD application was using the existing JCo connections.  But on the latest deploy I have to use new JCo connections and I made changes.
Problem is, these new JCo connection names are not appearing in WebDynpro Content Administrator and still it displays old JCo connections.
This problem exists with global WD Content Admin. URL as well as with individual server url, except in one server instance where JCos yet to be created.
But when I execute the application with global URL, it is working fine.
Intent is to create and use my new JCo connections for the application which are not listing in WB Content Admin.
Is it require to restart the server services?
Is it possible to solve this problem without restarting the services?
Is there any other way to resolve this problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Lakshmikantha

Sorry I can't approach to restart the j2ee service at this movement.
And the application got new JCo name at it's JCO refrences.
Infact the application is working fine with new JCos on development and quality systems.
Problem exists only on production system where it got 4 server instances.
    Any hope without restarting services?

  • Content Administrator Problem

I am trying to enter to the Content Administrator and after I put the login data and click in Login button I get the following message:
    503   Service Unavailable
Dispatcher running, but no server connected!
    Details: No details available
    What can be the problem?

    Hi Ruben,
The server is not started. Check the "SAP management console" for all the nodes to become GREEN color and then try.
If you check the "Process Table" all the 3 services (dispatcher, server0 and SDM) should be running and in GREEN color.

  • Iview created in Content Administration not displayed in Portal

    Hi,
I have created a Bex Query as iview in Content Administration existing SAP Standard folders.
I have assigned this to a workset and then to a Role.
I dont see the iview in the Portal. Are there any additional steps to see the iview in portal.
    Version: Bex 7.10
    Thank you,
    Vasu

    Hi Vasu,
Once you created Bex Query iview : then check whether you Iview properly assigned to workset/role or not..
Open workst object - check your iview, if not assigned then assign iview as delta link
Open role object - check your workset, if not assigned then assign workset as delta link
Then Make your Role as entry point - open role object, check Entry point radio button- select 'yes' then must save it.
Then got user administrator -> search your role and assign to your userid. Now you can refresh, you will see the tab as your role in the portal.
    Hope it helps
    Regards
    Arun

  • Folder Structure Not Visible under Content Administration

    Hi all,
We have EP 6.0 SP13.The Folder structure(Both Business objects and Portal Content) under Content Administration and Folder structure under System Administration is not visible.I have logged in as Administrator and the roles assigned were:
    com.sap.pct.crm.crm_default_services
    Administrator
    ContentManager
    eu_role
    super_admin_role
When i'm trying to access the portal content,<b>Loading...</b>is dispalyed in Content Area for a while and a message <b>'error occured'</b> is displayed in the status bar instead of <b>'Done'</b>.
I'm also having a problem in Detailed Navigation.Nothing is visible under Detailed Navigation.
Any Inputs on the above issues would be of great Help.
    Thanks and regards,

    Hi,
There could be only 2 problems when PCD objects are not being shown.
    1) You don't have the permission to view it. But since you are an administrator, you don't have to worry about it.
    2) The browser is unable to show the PCD objects.
Now lets look at the solution:
I had faced the same issues where when I tried to access the portal using IP address, PCD objects will not show. So the solution is to access the portal through its "name" rather than the IP address.
I guess you would have tried to access the portal by its name, then you had faced an error in browser and so you are trying to access the portal by IP address.
if this is true, make an entry in the hosts file in your local machine, mapping the IP address to the domain name.
If you dont know how to do it, please follow the following:
Goto the following folder in windows
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\
You will find a file named hosts. Open it in notepad and give the IP address & domain name of the portal in the format specified there. Save the file. Now if you access the portal using its domain name, you should be able to see the PCD. If you are still not getting it, restart the machine and try once more. It should work.
If you are using a Linux system, the file can be found under the \etc under the root folder.
    Regards,
    Vijai.

  • Jco destiantions are with greyed status in webdynpro content administrator

In webdynpro content administrator of BI System all the jco destinations are displatyed with greyed status, even i tried to create new destination with any name the message comes use another destination,it is already used in sld.the connection to sld is working fine.i am using the user as j2ee_admin.
    kindly help me out.
    Regards
    Pranav

    Hi Pranav
If the SLD is working fine then you need to check the below thing :-
    1. Check the SLD Data Supplier in the Visual Administrator and update the correct information and test it.
    2. Update Host and service file for server in the server system for jco destinations visibility.
Refer to [System Landscape Directory Process and JCo Configuration|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c0c1d495-048e-2b10-babd-924a136f56b5?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]

  • Remove applications from content administrator

    Hi,
I have some applications on the WebAS that should be removed.
I*ve undeployed all applications with the SDM.
But the Applications are still grey marked available in the WEbDynpro content administrator and it shows some error because of that.
Is there any way to remove the Applications also from the Content Admin?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Dennis

    Hi,
I first have undeployed with the visual admin, after that I saw that they are still available in the sdm. So I undeployed them there also.
I have restarted the J2ee Engine twice. Maybe I will try to restart the whole windows server...

  • Content administration - webdynpro

    Hi,
am new to Web dynpro development. so i created a simple helloworld application and am trying to integrate in SAP enterprise portals.. in the documentation, it is mentioned to create a system if the host where the WD applciatin resides is a different machine and specify it as SAP_local_system if it resides on the same system where EP is running.I chose sap_local_system.
    my queries are:
    a) in this scenarion, is SSO really need to be implemented, as it is running on the same WAS as SAP EP?
b)what can we do in content administration --> webdynpro tab at all?
    c) what does SLD has to do with WD applications?
    please help me.
    regards

    Hi Yogi,
As far as I know, you only need SSO and SLD for WD apps if they're on different servers and if you're fetching data from R/3 or from some other system. For example, take a look at the pre-requisites to deploying a WD sample application from a tutorial list the following (this WD application is connecting to R/3):
    Prerequisites
You have made sure that the relevant SAP basis system, which you will be accessing
remotely to retrieve the flight data, is currently available and contains flight data.
You have made sure that the SAP J2EE Engine has been launched.
To do this, refer to Starting and Stopping the SAP J2EE Engine .
You have checked that the configuration settings for the J2EE server and for the SDM
server are entered correctly in the Developer Studio.
To check the server settings, choose the menu path Window ¨ Preferences ¨ SAP
    J2EE Engine.
The connection parameters for the used SLD are defined in the J2EE Visual
    Administrator.
