BI Content Process Chain

Hi Experts,
I installed NW 7.0 sr3 ABAP system, and then installed BI_CONT release 703 as add-on.
But our BI consultant not able to find all the objects when he is trying to activate process chain from the bi content.
Can anyone please tell me which version i have to install to get all the necessary objects.

I am not able to find support package name.
When i click on package level button from SAPM tcode
BI_CONT 703 0000 - Business Intelligence Content.
Is my BI_CONT add-on installed successfully?
And also i am not able to see BI_CONT in imported packages list.

Admin cockpit - Business Content Process chain Activation failure

Hi,
we are working in Admin cockpit in sand box server.
we are activating the Business Content Process chain by taking all variants (begin with 0TCT) but we are getting the error message that Process AND has no predecessor.
Could you kindly suggest any thing to move further.

Have u collected the Source system for which ur collecting the PC when u r activating Business conent?
Collect the source system when u r activating the PC. Give a try.

Install BI Content Process Chain 0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01

Hello,
I am installing BI content Process chain (0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01) for BI statistics.
I did the install but when I try to activate it says " Process has no predecessor" . Has anyone installed this chain and how did you do it. Can you please expalin me steps that u went through.

I've installed a BI content process chain, called 0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01, but I can not see it in tcode RSPC, also can not use it. Can you tell how to make it available in RSPC?

Tech. Content Process Chain (0TCT...)

Hi,
I installed the technical content for BW7.0 and they are visible in BW but when I installed the technical business content process chains, they are not visible in RSPC. I did search for them but could not find any where. What can be the reason?

Further to above post, While activating the technical content, system could not collect some of the infopackages as they were not in the business content. Is there any relation between process chain non visibility?

Technical Content Process Chain Schedules

Hello,
We are on BW 7, and I was curious how often companies are running their technical content process chains?
Is weekly typical, or should they be running more often?

Is there an order in which the TCT chains should be executed in nightly?
Our queries are executed during the day business hours 7 am - 6 pm
Our Data loads are primarily overnight.
The chains we have for TCT are:
0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01 - Content Master Data
0TCT_C2_DELTA_P01 - Data Load Statistics - Delta
0TCT_C0_DELTA_P01 - Query Runtime Statistics - Delta
0TCT_MD_S_FULL_P01 - System Master Data

Scheduling Technical Content Process Chains

Hello experts,
I'm trying to schedule the Technical Content Process Chain as per SAP Note 934848 - step 4.
This step says:
4. Schedule Process Chains.
Please schedule the technical content process chains (0TCT*) in transaction RSPC. "INIT" process chains need to be scheduled once and "DELTA" process chains should be scheduled periodically.
But when I open RSPC I can't find anything with (0TCT*).
Can anyone help me?

We have everything installed.
Recently we had an auditory from SAP AG and they detected that we needded only to schedule the Technical Content Process Chain.

Business Content & Process Chains

I would like to know if process chains are required to update standard reports data or the data can be refreshed from the report to see the updated records.

Hi,
If your job is to just use the reports and not to worry abt where data comes etc, then yes, its enough if you refresh the report and the report will get the latest updated data from the base Infoprovider which is the physical storage of data.
Process Chains are something that will pul data from the source system and load it into the base Infoprovider, fro where the report picks up the data. so if the infoprovider has the latest data, report will obviously pick up the latst data.
If the infoprovider needs to be updated with latest data from the source system, then you run the process chain.

Error while activating process chains from Business Content

Hi All,
I am trying to activate the SAP Business Content Process Chains, which load data to 0PM_DSO2 in Plant Maintenance Area -
1.Delta Upload : MTTR / MTBR (0PM_DELTA_P02)
2.Initialisation : MTTR / MTBR (0PM_INIT_P01 )
And they are failing with the error

Process Chains for BW Statistics (Technical Content)

Hi Guys,
Just a quick question - anyone know of any Business Content Process Chains for BW Statistics?
I can't seem to find any - but just looking for confirmation that none exist and I will then have to built my own.

BI Admin Cockpit: Program variant missing in Process chain

Hi,
I'm installing BI Admin Cockpit and have troubles with Process chains. I followed the installatin guide and had problems activating process chains: 0TCT_C2_INIT_P01 and 0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01 because of missing InfoPackages. I solved this by installing an correction as it is described by Note: 1432353. After this I activate these Process chains manually in RSA1 Administration--> BI Content -->Process Chains (all necessary objects). No Problems occured. The Problem is when I'm start these Process chains, I get an error on the last step. There is an Abap Programm with an variant. This variant is missing in the System.
The Variants are:
- RSTCC_Dataload (0TCT_C2_INIT_P01)
- RSTCC_QRuntime (0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01)
I tried also to get these Process chains with Dataflow before and after to view if I forgot anything to activate, but there is no programm variant. Can anybody explain, how to get these programm variants?

I faced the same problem. Basically what I found was that variants were not defined. So I manually created the value for variants:
1. For RSTCC_DATALOAD assign value TCT_C2_DELTA_P01
2. For RSTCC_QRUNTIME assign value 0TCT_C0_DELTA_P01
Our system info is similar to what you have and I in fact had Basis team patch BI Cont to level 6 but this did not help. If I were to take a guess i would have to say that these variants are missing in the 7.01 BI version, you can either choose to create a OSS message with SAP and wait for them to fix it or you could fix it manually.

Error While Deleting cube Contents in Process Chain

Hi All ,
   I am getting a error when i am trying to delete the contents of two cubes in a Process Chain . The data of one cube is getting successfully deleted but while deleting the second one it results in a error.
Following are the messages :
1>Database table /BIC/FZCFEXP01 was deleted and recreated

3>Database table /BIC/FZCFEXP02 was deleted and recreated

Unable to delete data target contents of Write-Optimized DSO in Process Chain

Hi Experts,
We are using SAP Net Weaver BW 7.01 version and we need to delete the entire data target contents of Write-Optimized DSO in the process chain before the next data load.
I included this step in process chain but still it is failing with errore message"Message not found (in main memory), Drop Cube Failed In Data Target"
This process type is working during BW 7.0 version but not in BW 7.01 version.
However i found that we can use the program RSSM_DELETE_WO_DSO_REQUESTS to delete old requests in the Write-Optimized DSO for BW 7.01 SP07 as per SAP Note 1437407 but still it's not working even after implementing this program as the Prerequisite to delete the request is the data mart status should be updated where it is not happening for the program.
We had an process type option to 'delete the requests from Write-Optimized DSO' directly in BW 7.3 but still not available in 7.01 version.
Could you please suggest me on how to resolve this issue in BW 7.01?

Create ABAP program as attached code.
Then you can use that ABAP program in process chains through ABAP variant
ABAP varaint should have following properties
Select call mode as Synchronous; call from Local; and Program
Give your ABAP program name in "program name" and create one program variant for each write optimized DSO.
Please refer how to use ABAP program in process chains for further details.

BI Content 7.57 SP4 Activating Process Chain

I am trying to activate a process chain from BI content . My source system is ERP 6.0. While collecting objects for activating this Process Chain BW gives an errors. It says some of DTP and Transformations are missing. I have put two of the errors are at below.
When i search these missing objects on the BI content these objects are not exist. Also on the BW system they are not exist. I could not find any solution for this problem.

Dear Experts,
I have successfully installed the Technical Content from Business Content and now trying to install Content Master Data process chain for info package for the same but its showing error.

Finally, while checking in RSPC it comes the name of Process Chain but its not showing anything.

ithink u have not activated the process chainafter creating the process chain u might have saved it with out activating the process cahin so that is the reason why it is showing name name but northing in the chain first activate the cahin then it iwill show
