BI Cube to BPC ( application) load

We are in 7.5NW , sp4. To get transaction data from BI cube into BPC application, we are using standard process chain(/CPMB/LOAD_INFOPROVIDER) within a DM package.
But every time we run this process chain through DM, I am seeing a FULL load and NOT the delta loads from BI into BPC(even with "Merge data values" option). I thought this "Merge data values" should do the delta loads and NOT full loads.
Anybody has seen this issue and any potential resolutions ?

Hello ,
For delta load, you can have a DSO before you load the records into BPc and every time after loading into BPC you can clear the DSO. Please note that this is a BW solution/work around to handle deltas and not a BPC solution.

1)can i have BW DSO (not cube) as staging cube and then load data to BPC cube
what is advantage and disadvantage

i would guess not as BW handles the DELTA mechanism efficiently ?

it has 2 options MERGE and REPLACE ,cant REPLACE option work as DELTA from BPC ,as this will avoid creating BW extra cube for delta

so basically ur recommended data flow is below and while loading to BPC, clear write optimised DSO everytime correct ?
ECC>Staging DSO> Write optimised DSO-->BPC
so in the above flow which DSO should convert KF based model to Account based model ,std DSO or Write optimised DSO
so how abt this flow if i put
ECC>Staging InfocubeDELTA infocube-->BPC where i clear DELTA infocube every time I load to BPC
here i am saving the data load activation time for the staging DSO ,
Any disadvantage you think using the approach I select below with staging Infocube
Also wont the data manager option of REPLACE work as DELTA ? if not what is the business case to use this option

I am using Data Management package methodology to load data from BI to BPC.
Created Transformation file, created Data management package to download the data from Infoprovider and run the package to load the data from BI cube to BPC application.
everytime i run the package all the data from Infoprovider is read and will feed the application.So is there a way to delta enable the load from BI cube ?
does this method work for volumes ? what is the best practice for BPC NW to load the transaction data from BI to BPC.

I have followed the steps for automating the DM package.I have created prompt file based on the log file generated from the successful run of the package and i have entered all the required fields in UJD_TEST_PACKAGE programe along with Answer prompt file and i ran the package then some of the records were rejected with error "No authorization for members()on dimension()" and in the detaile log i saw "Cannot access the member (ACTUAL) of dimension (C_CATEGORY)" as the rejected records.
Other hand if i run the package directly in excel client > Run Data management package then the package runs succesfully without any errors.
I have checked the authorizations in Admin Client and i have full Member Access profile.Also checked C_Category is not a secured dimension.
what it has to do with C_CATEGORY dimension??
do we need any special authorisations while we run through the program? even in BI i have sap_all profile.

Dropping of records(bw cube to bpc)

hi friends,
i'm loading actuals data from bw cube to bpc application via trasnformation file(load infoprovider package).
my requrement is infoobject X is mapped to dim Y. if X consists of value C02 I want to drop those records i.e i don' want those records in bpc applicaion. how can i achieve this (it is reverse of SELECTIOIN Option in OPTIONS area of transformation file)?

i resolved issue by maintaining conversion file for that destination dim.
External col (CO2)
Internal col (*skip)
Include that conversion file in transformation file
It skips bw recorde for infoobject having CO2 as record value.

BPC application is taking too much time to load

Hi experts!
I'm facing a very weird problem...
We've developed a BPC application (app name: USM).
This application is taking too much time to be loaded in some computers (around 8 minutes to load). Yes, in SOME computers.
There is around 100.000 registers in the database and most coming from material master data.
If I try to load this USM application in another computer, the process loads smoothly. The computer's hardware is all the same, the server is hyper estimated and everyone is in the same network.
I talked to infrastructure departament and we made several tests. We run BPC on the server (loaded quickly), on several computers (some loads quickly, others don't), used wireless and cable connection (got all the same result) and checked communication between BW and BPC but it is ok.
After all, I tried to load APSHEL application in the same enviroment and it loaded intantly. So, I guess it is something wrong with my application. But if was this, I suppose it should happen to all computers and not only with part of them.
Have anybody ever seen something like this?

Hi Rubens,
I would try making a couple of test:
1. I will install the client in a machine that is located in the same network segment, or try using a vpn that comunicates with the server bypassing all security devices, only to see if the network it's the problem.
2. Making a full optimize of one application to see if maybe the problem it's related to the segmentation of the cubes (i don't think that this is the problem but give it a try).
It is very wierd that in some computers happends and in others don't... also try to clean up the local cache of the applications in those computers that are giving to you bad performce and retry.

BI/BPC data load

we have created the complete data flow for the cube created by BPC (/cpmb/cube) and loaded the transaction data into the cube but we cant see the data in BPC.
Is there any program to be run at the BI side to make the data available in bpc

Hey,
when you directly load your data with IP from BI to BPC, the BPC cube changes from planning mode to loading mode.
right click and change it back to planning mode.Check it out now.
But as i have said earlier in my prev reply, optimisation would cause loss of data as bpc does not have an idea of this load.

Transformation file errors(bpc cube to bpc cube)

I'm trying to load bpc cube data to other bpc cube. Created transformation file with following options & mapping sections.
Simply i've to move from cube A to cube B(A, B are internally created transaction cube when creating BPC applications)
Cube A having around 12 dims and cube B having 7 dims. In mapping i mentioned only 7 dims because target is having 7 dims.
I think it not required to mention about other dimension in A.

Hi Naresh,
If you have more Dimensions in the source cube than in the target, INFOPROVIDER load is not a good idea. My understanding is that is such case you'll have to find a way to skip dimensions that are not loaded.
Therefore *DESTINATION_APP or BADI DEST_APP are your best options. Basically, if you need any transformation/calculations than use *DESTINATION_APP; if it's just straight aggregation BADI will do it.
How many records do you have to load? How much time do you expect that load will take? Copy Master Data from BW cube to BPC cube

Hi,
I need to copy a master data from BW cube to BPC cube.
Can I do this from BW? That is, Can I copy master data from the view of the cube of BPC in BW?
I do this from BW and then I see the master data in my BPC cube from the BW view, but when I open my cube in the BPC environment, I don't see nothing of the master data.
What's the problem?

I think you are asking if you can copy transactional data from a BW cube into a BPC cube (cubes do not contain master data).
If this is what you want to do, yes the BPC IMPORT package is a delivered data manager package that allows you to select a BW cube, transformation file, and additional options (such as work status checking and default logic execution). The use of the Data Manager [process is the "best practice" since you will need to transform the BW data model into the BPC data model and the tools delivered in the IMPORT data manager package are ideally suited for the job. You can automate this process by following the guide at:

Can not upload my ipa with Apple Application Loader

After I published with success a new .ipa with DPS when I tried to upload with Application Loader, the system refused my app.
In the past I never had this problem since last week it is impossible until now.
When I asked help the Apple developer assistance, says:
The error you’re receiving now does make sense that it was caused by the Adobe DPS program. Sometimes when using 3rd party app builders it will cause a similar error when attempting to upload a new app or update.
Unfortunately Apple does not support 3rd party app builders, and I would suggest contacting the support group at Adobe in regards to DPS and what setting you need to adjust within the program to successfully upload the app.
When contacting them be sure to have the description of the error ready for them. I’ve seen this similar case with previous developers that have used the Adobe app builder, and have reached a resolution with contacting them.
What can I do?

hello, you have a 8310. You must use an OS for the exact model. Using one for 8300 or 8330 will not work.

Problem with Application Loader

I'm trying to submit an iPhone application to iTunes using the Application Loader on a Mac Mini (OSX 10.5.8). After I enter my iTunes Connect login details I receive the following error response
*There is a problem with you login information*
Please click back and try again
An error occurred talking to the iTunes Store
The login details are correct, the device connects to the itunesconnect web site from Safari without issue.
Is anybody else experiencing a similar issue? Anybody have any ideas on how I might resolve this issue. It's really frustrating as this is now the only way to get an App into iTunes and the error message is not exactly giving me a lot to go on.

I got a message in an email saying I had the wrong binary code and therefore had to change it by downloading the application manager.
This was the email they sent me?

You will receive an email detailing the reason for your invalid binary. This will allow you to redeliver your corrected binary through Application Loader.

Error while uploading an ipa(zip) file using Application Loader

I have created an iOS application with Packager for iPhone
on a windows machine and tested it well on my iphone. But I am unable to upload the app with Application Loader in MAC Book.I have tried a lot to solve this problem.
This is the error message displayed on the Application Loader, after it finishes verification (zipp/unzip and code sign verificaion was succesful) and nearly finishes uploading:

Application Loader, unless there's another one I'm not familiar with, is part of the iOS SDK. That have usurped the .zip, or you may have removed that application but your Mac is still holding onto the mapping of Zip files to that application. Select a .zip file in Finder, Get Info, and go to the Open with section. Select Archive Utility and click Change All. That should fix the problem.

Application Loader Is Now Empty. What Happened?

Hello I finally grew up from windows mobile and went to Verizon and upgraded to a Blackberry Storm 9530. The software in the box was version 4.7 which seems to be the most up to date. I installed it and hooked up my Storm a couple of times and the Application Loader would show everything installed on my Storm. I installed a couple of other apps on the side today without the software and they worked fine. Also, they showed up in the Application Loader with the default loaded software. Tonight I decided to hook the Storm back up to the PC and I went to search for updates for my software. When it tried to download the updates it gave a fatal error and the BB Desktop Manager crashed. My Storm then went to a white screen with a clock and would not response. I had to pull the battery and put it back in to boot my Storm back up. Ever since then when I go to the application loader it only shows the 2 apps I installed today and not any of the other apps so that I can remove or update them. They appear to be on my Storm and function, but not in that list. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled after a reboot and still only those 2 files show.
What can I do to fix my first BB that I now seem to have broken?
