Hi,
We are currently in the process of upgrading BW3.5 to BI7. We were looking into using Knowledge Management as our document store and were wondering what additional functionality KM could bring as a document store.
I am aware that KM provides the user with faster performance as it's tightly coupled with the portal and is HTTP enabled. But other than the performance advantages, what other functionality could be achieved?
Could we develop java iViews to view the commentary using portal functionality? Filter the documents? Sort the documents? Add notifications?

I did the same thing. Got a PDF template running nicely in BI Publisher, i took the link and put it on a button in my Apex application. Passed an application item as parameter in the link. Everything worked great. My issue is that i want this document to be available for the web users and when i logout from BI Publisher and try the link from my Apex application again, it redirects me to BI P. login page. So may someone tell me how to make this document public ?

I just uninstalled it and am waiting for it to reinstall. I sincerely hope that I have not lost everything that I worked on so hard. Now that mobile me is gone, I have not been able to go between devices to transfer things. I was merely trying to take a document I had worked on and open it in pages, but it said my version was too old. When I updated, it wouldn't load. Now I cannot do anything. I hope that the reinstall fixes it without losing everything. Please advise!!! Yes, I am in panic mode.

My Pages app for iPad tells me I can't open a document and even iCloud won't let me download it to my Mac, how can I recover my document?

I really don't know what happened to Pages. First I was using the app, working on a document and everything was fine. I updated it a couple of times and there was no problem. Then, when I tried to open it once more snd continue to work with it, a message appeared telling me that the document had been modified in other iPad. Usually this would make sense but not this time because this file was only used on my iPad. So I chose to keep the document version created on my iPad and **** got loose since then. The document could't open, every time I tried, a message told me "The file cannot be open", so I read A LOT of what to do in this horrible case and tried to open it via iTunes but the option withbthe little arrow that usually works for send the file via e-mail, or to dropbox, or to print appear like I can't use it for anything so most of my options and hopes died. Then on a Mac I tried to dowñoad the file to see if there I could open it or at least change the file code from .pages to .zip and then unzip it but I can't even dowload it form iCloud so you see, I'm desperate. I need help, please! The document is very very important so could you tell me how can I recover it?

On my mac i accidentally deleted all my documents and now i cant play my songs from itunes but can on my phone and my photos are there but when i open them they are not but i can see some on my iphone but not all. How do i get these back or are they lost?

I accidentally dleted all my documents and emptyed the trash can. I can play my music on my iphone but not through my mac because it says it cant locate the file/original and my photos are on my computer but when i double click to open them they come up with an ! however some of the photos are on my iphone but just the ones i took using the camera function. At the AT&T store. Tried using iCloud but only 120 songs were transferred and when I access my iTunes account now it only shows 120 and not the 450 anymore that I purchased on my old phone. Tried to sync again from the phone to iTunes and it still not working.
I purchased everything under the same apple ID account I called apple support and spent almost 2 hours with tech support for assistance and we got disconected and they never called me back.
I'm at the point where I'm about to never purchase anything anymore from apple go to another company retrieve every single charge made on my bank account from iTunes and file a law suit against the company. Report to show the followup sales documents and items

Sales had executed many sales quotations with customers over a period of time.
Now the Sales Staff wanted to know how many sales documents and what/how many sales items are being purchased by the customer with respect to the quotation.
Is there a report that list out the sales documents and items created w/respect to a particular quotation instead of looking at the document flow which is difficult to diagnose.

While the grayed x corners are showing, Arrange > Unlock.
Now you will be able to manipulate or delete the borders.

Yes the guide is misleading. It says 'For this property, only COMPUSERVEGIF, JPEG, PNG-8, PNG-24, and BMP are supported.'
It really should say 'For this property, only COMPUSERVEGIF, JPEG, PNG, and BMP are supported.'
But if you look under SaveDocumentType you will not find PNG-8 or PNG-24 listed in the values.

So, I'm a little new to PowerShell and I came across a PowerShell which allow me to copy the content od a spreadsheet, into the new message in Outlook 2007. I have search and search on a way to do the same with a Word Document. I would like to
create a PowerShell Script that copies the content of a Word Document and paste that content in an email message.

My requirements are the Word documents are a template of sorts. The document will be changes prior to its email with some changes. The other twist is that the customer might more that one recipients, and each recipient will have to have a separate
email, with the same content of the word document.
For example: Say I'm doing maintenance. The Word doc might descript that maintenance, in a set format. Once save the script is run to generate 3 to 10 email with separate recipients with the body of the email containing what was in the Word document.

I am not able to use Firefox with Sharepoint - I can only open a file in read-only mode and cannot checkout the document and edit.

I would like to use Firefox with Sharepoint.
However, I am only able to open a file in "read only" mode whch means I cannot edit the document and save it. I am also not able to "check-out" a document in Sharepoint and edit it at the same time.

This may not work for everyone, but I solved this problem by clicking on the file name in sharepoint, not the document icon to the left of the name. This then brought up the various options, including checking out, editing, version history etc. It seems obvious but I have only just realised this!

I ran into a glitch on my system that I tried to fix myself. My NOD32 was always showing the yellow warning circle as my protection status when I started my computer. I tried to fix this every way I new how.
Then I started to get pop ups asking me to fix and then send system error reports to Windows. Some stating they were '''''critical.''''' So I sent NOD32 the e-mail below.

My Numbers program changed yesterday while I was working on a document and now I can't open it. I get a message telling me I need a newer version to open the document. All the others seem to open OK. I HAVE NOT PURCHASED THE NEW VERSION. What happened

OK, this is the first time I have used this so I may not have started correctly, so here goes another try. I opened a Numbers Document and noticed the presentation was different from when I worked it before. Since there have been a number of auto updates since I had worked in Numbers, I assumed I had an updated program. I found it hard to figure out so I closed the document and went on to other things. When I went back to it I found a message saying I needed a newer version of the program to open it. Fortunately, the document was backed up and when I opened the backup it came in my familiar form. I have not purchased the new version of Numbers but suspect that is what was using for that brief period yesterday. Anyone know haw that happened?

It is pretty amazing you got a new version without even knowing it.
In System Preferences > App Store you can turn off the automatic updates by unchecking "Install app updates" as I've done here:
If you're using Numbers across platforms and displaying dynamic output on the iPad or doing data entry there, you'll be *much* happier with Numbers 3.0 than the old version. If you're doing a lot of traditional printing of heavily formatted documents, the old version is much better. For most day-to-day uses in between it's a toss-up. The new version, despite its flaws, is a powerful application that can enhance productivity in ways the old version can't.

it seems my subscription had expired so I signed up again.. It was still having trouble so I repeated the sign up process again.. Then it worked perfectly.. Unfortunately, I think I just subscribed twice and need to cancel one of them. Ugh. Such a pain when I'm trying to get this project completed. I'll be canceling at least one of the subscriptions in the morning. Adobe is not my favorite company right now. None of this was intuitive. And trying to get help was an absolute waste of an hour.
