BI extractor
Hi,
I got a requirement where i have to use an extractor to move data available in a custom infotype in ECC to BI infoCube.
The extractor wil be accessible via transaction RSA6 in ECC. The infoCube wil be accessible thru transaction RSA1 in BI.
Any pointers and stuff related to Extractors wil be really useful to me.
Wil surely award points for useful replies !!!!!!
Dear Rajesh,
In generic extractor based on function module, you do have an opportunity to use not only cursor-based approach for filling extract table, but also alternative approaches u2013 cursors are recommended by SAP, but technically this is not the only possible way to select and fetch data here.
As an example, you can use u201Cusualu201D (cursor-free) SELECT-statements for filling internal table, then you can make necessary checks or whatever needed by extractor logic and then place finally extracted and cleansed data to interface table (E_T_DATA). In order to divide extracted data into packets consisting of given number of records (which is defined in parameter I_MAXSIZE), you can use a pair of custom local variables which will help you to define first and last record to be passed within the packet in the loop of packets generation until NO_MORE_DATA exception is raised.
But, from my point of view, if you have a choice to use cursor-based technique or some alternative techniques, the preferable one is cursor-based since this is general recommendation of SAP for development of function module for generic extractor. I would suggest using techniques not involving cursors in those cases when usage of cursor is not suitable or does not comply with your requirements.
My regards,
Vadim

Extractor 0FC_BP_ITEMS - Business Partner Items Enhancement
I'm looking at using 0FC_BP_ITEMS extractor to extract Open and cleared items. Has anyone worked on the enhancement of this extractor. If so what are the steps involved in enhancing this extractor? Is it similar to the Full load extractor 0FC_CI_01 and 0FC_OP_01. Any help will be great.
Hi,
Please have alook in help.sap.com- Netweaver- BI Content-FICA.
This is not same as those two datasources which you mentioned. This datasource will give you delta records.

What is the best way, while creating Function Module based extractor
Hi Friends,
I am Sreekanth.
I have created a Functio Module based Extractor,
To fetch data from COPA tables.
In this extracton 3 tables are getting involved.
1) CE3OP01 2) CE4OP01 and 3) CE1OP01.
Logic required is as follow:
1) get data from CE3OP01 and for all entries of this data set,
get data from CE4OP01 and CE1OP01 and finally send the data set to BW after few manupulations.
I have implemented the whole logic and its working fine in DEVELOPMENT box where data volume is less.
But the same code is timing out in Quality Box, due to huge volues of data.
Below I am copying the code that i am using . Any body can suggest me how to proceed further so that my code works with huge volumes of data.
Now I am getting the time out error while selection data from CE3IOP01 table itself.

Need steps in creation of LO extractor
Hi All,
I am new to SAP BI, I am working on **LO and FI-Sl extractor..can any of you please provide me the detail steps in creation of these extractors.
Please do the needful by providing the required information.
thanks,
Vinay.Hi Vinay ,
Plz find the steps below for LO
LO :
1. Run T-Code LBWE
2. Select your area EX : You want to activate the DS : 2LIS_02_SCL.Then u need to Expand the Purchaisdng application component.
3. Clcik on maange extractor
- Using this you are going to select the Required fields in u r struture by dragging from right to left
4. Click on the DS : 2LIS_02_SCL
-Here you will set the options like slection, hide etc...
5. Activate
6. Job Control..
7. Update mode .
- Used queued delta option.
8 Your LO DS is available in RSA6 T-Code.
9 You need to fill the data for the DS by running the T-Code "OLI2BIW".
10.Check the dara for the DS in RSA3.

Runtime error in extractor enhancement
Hi,
I need to enhance the extractor 0WBS_ELEMT_ATTR with an additional field. The field is a Z field from the table PRPS.
Now PRPS is a base table for the extractor for this extractor, so simply adding this field into the append structure should suffice.
However, when I do this the extractor gives the following runtime error:
Syntax error in program "SAPLPSBW "
Component called ZZSO already exists.
The error is in the function call "e_fname".
I have found that the same Z field is used in another structure CNCI_PRPS. Could this be leading to the error?
Please let me know if any of you have any insights as to why this problem might be occurring.
TIA,
AmritaHi,
In my case the problem was caused because the same ZZ Field was used in two structures.
One for ECC and one for BI. This was causing some interference.
To solve this I changed the field name in my extract structure to ZZZSO and populated it via a CMOD routine.
Hope this helps.

Why the 2LIS_08TRTK extractor can not get all data
Hello, BW Gurus.
Why the 2LIS_08TRTK and 2LIS_08TRTLP extractors can not get all data. I had used the RSA3 and get 10 registers, when a check at the VTTK table I had 20 registers, I didnt use filters at RSA3, could you help to know what happen o correct it.Is it because
<i>
Shipment documents and their dependent objects (shipment stages as well as shipment items [deliveries in the shipment]) are only extracted into BW when the Shipment completion status has been set.
This is necessary because the numeric values that result from the delivery documents are only established at the time. If the data were already stored earlier in BW, the shipment data would not be updated if the delivery notes were changed in BW.

BW DS Extractors for FI Tables
Hi everybody,
can anybody please tell me the standard extractors (BW Datasources) for following tables
- GLT3
- GLPCT
- FAGLFLEXT
Thanks a lothello,
For GLPCT:
data-/info source 0EC_PCA_1. The cube is 0PCA_C01.
For GLT3 :
3FI_SL_09_TT
or
check the DS 3EC_CS1A.It is giving the data as like data there in table GLT3.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/6c/4d6637a04c2367e10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm
For FAGLFLEXT :
0FI_GL_10 extracts data from FAGLFLEXT table, that is connected to DSO (0FIGL_O10) --> Cube (0FIGL_C10) --> Virtual Cube (0FIGL_V10) and u will all the standard reports from there

Hi Guys,
I have 65 fields in an extractor (Generic Datasource). When I replicate the datasource and go to the fields tab in datasource, i see that one of the line is being skipped.
After Pos. 26, i see Pos. 28, 29..... Pos. 26 and Pos. 27 are both currency but we have identified one as WAERS and WAERS_LOC (Coming from different tables).
Secondly, when I create a transformation for the DSO and join it with this datasource, I see only 61 fields (instead of 64 or 65).
Has somebody encountered this problem before ? How do I fix it ?Hi,
I understand that on the left you are seeing the fields you have in your datasource and on the right side, the infoobjects you have in your infoprovider. They don't have to be identical. If you want them to be the same means that you want to upload all the fields you have in your datasource. Then you have to add the corresponding infoobjects to your infoprovider.
If you are refering that your datasource is different than the one you see in the transformation, it could be that you haven't replicated it correctly. Select the source system and replicate it again.
Hope it helps,
Regards.

0FC_OP_01 extractor issues- DFFKKOPBW data not matching with
Hi All
We have an issue with the extractor 0FC_OP_01. Our business is comparing the values in
R/3 report u2013 G/L Account Balance Display (t-code S_ALR_87012277) with the
Open Items by GL Account report in BW .(actually these values in the BW report are coming from DFKKOPBW table in R/3) .
But since august, the R/3 G/L account balance report is not matching with the DFKKOPBW table balances. So bottom line the extractor 0FC_OP_01 is doing something wrong when populating the DFKKOPBW table which is causing these two reports to be out of balance
Did anybody face this kind of issue before? Please Advise.
FYI : We are following the same procedure to populate the DFKKOPBW table as in the below article.
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a9996115-0b01-0010-b2b2-d9de0170a425;jsessionid=%28J2EE3417800%29ID0001499250DB01896329908162586522End
Thanks
KPKIn my case the Cube/PSA data itself is not matching with the R/3 report data.
Basically we run a job in R/3 in t-code FPBW with a Date id and Indentification. This job will pull the entries from base table DFKKOP into DFKKOPBW table .Then FRom this DFKKOPBW table data is loaded into PSA/Cube.
Here in my case the data in table DFKKOPBW itself is not matching with the R/3 report - G/L Account Balance Display (t-code S_ALR_87012277)) .
I am following the same procedure to run the JOb in T-code FPBW to populate the DFKKOPBW table as listed in the document at the above link. Moreover this difference in balances is occuring only starting from August ..Till July the balances in DFKKOPBW tally with the R/3report.
Please advise ..
Thanks

Delta with reversal into cube from LO extractors
Hi SDN,
In our LO extraction design we have write-optimized DSO used as EDW as the first layer in BI. Then data is sent to Business Content infocubes, such as 0PUR_C01 though we are using their copies and instead of Update Rules/Transfer Rules, we are using PSA, Transformation, Write Optimized DSO, another transformation and onto the cube. DS and all other objects in the data flow are BI 7.
What we are not clear about is the role or ROCANCEL when passed to both STORNO and RECORDMODE and its impact on the cube after the write-optimized DSO. Some key figures are reversed for 'R' but others are not.
We had thought that 2LIS_02_ITM via a Write Optimized DSO will pass on STORNO and RECORDMODE to the cube which should have reversed all key figures in the cube if the value is 'R'. But it is not happening. Whatever key figures were reversed in the source system, they remained reversed, others are still there and adding another row in the cube with some positive values.
Can anyone shed light on this or provide reference to documentation regarding delta processing in the cube, especially from LO extractors like 2LIS_02_ITM, etc.?
Thanks
SMFriends,
Thanks for the reply.
My question is more fundamental.
In 3.5 There was expected to be no DSO between Source system and the cube. How were the Update, add and delete handled then?
As I see it, write-optimized DSO is no hindrance because essentially the data is coming into the cube as if there was no DSO in the middle. I do not see SAP suggesting a DSO anywhere between the source and business content cubes, especially in our case dealting with 2LIS_02_ITM, SCL, etc. to handle delta.
Are you saying that no delta management is possible without inserting a DSO before the cube? Please realize that WO DSO only brings data request by request without any summation and overwrite confusion.
What I puzzled at is the lack of comprehensive unfied and detail information either in documentation or a blog.
Please advise.

How to track the blocked POs in 2LIS_02_SCL extractor
Hi Gurus,
We have field ROCANCEL in 2LIS_02_SCL extractor which sets to X and R for cancelled and deleted records. On ECC side we either delete the PO (at Item level) or block the PO.
For deleted POs the ROCANCEL flag is setting to R and we are OK with this but how can we track the blocked orders?
The business requirement is to report on blocked orders too.
Thanks,
AnilHi,
In Bw thre is always confusion about following Dates.
Posting Date (0PSTNG_DATE)
Schedule Line Delivery Date (0SCL_DELDAT)
Statistics Date (0STAT_DATE)
So ask Functional Consultants and Business USers and Identify the corretc Date in ECC and then Change the Mapping In UPdate Rules in BW. i.e. What date USer is wanting and accordingly we nee dtgo change the mapping in UPdate Rules in Time Char Tab in UpdateRules.
Thanks

Extractor For VENDOR Blocked Invoices
I have a requirement to create a report for Vendor aging report for Blocked invoices
for which I need to do data modelling first.
My questions are as follows
1) I found extractor 0FI_AP_4 for Vendor Line items. but I need following fields
who blocked the invoice and on what date the invoice is blocked
pls see tcode fb03 for an eg.
Note this is only for vendor invoicesHello Syed,
Classification data for objects like material or vendor needs to pulled through classification data sources which needs to created specifically through transaction CTBW.
I am not sure whak kind of information you are looking for...but if it is the information about classification then it has to be created.
You can just make a search on classification data sources as there are numerous threads about it.
If its just classification characteristics like vendor type then you can look for master data sources for these objects.
Thanks

Purchase order and FI Document Number - R/3 extractor
Hello Experts - I have a question on the BW extractors on the R/3 side. Are there any standard extractors out there where I can get Purchase Order information and related FI document number information. In case if I have to create one what tables do I need to reference to create generic extractor. Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Venu.Hi Venu,
This could be better done on a standard FI extractor by enhancing it with purchase order information.
Atleast, this is the way we did in our scenario.
Have 0FI_GL_4 enhanced with data from EKKO, EKPO tables, with required feilds. This enhancement may not be quite detailed.
Also if you are interested in a complete gen extr. then the above two tables along with BSEG should do.

Open Orders - Extractor 2LIS_11_VASTI
We are trying to develop an Open Orders report that would include items that are delivered (delivery related) and those that are dropped ship from a 3rd party (order related). We need to show open quantity and value.
The standard BI Content that we are currently using only shows open items that are delivered through SAP. We need the other 3rd party items as well. We believe that a solution would most likely require the order header and order line item status data (data from tables VBUK and VBUP in SAP).
Has anyone else had to develop a solution like this? Did you use the standard extractors? Is there a standard SAP solution for this in BW or did you have to create something custom?
Thank you for your help.Hi Ann,
I have a solution for you, which you can try...
create a table level generic data source on the table/view of VBBE which would
contains all your required data Hopefully..
Hope it helps..
assign points if useful..

Pattan.
