Ya i have two BI systems. I created one BI iview in sys1 its working fine, If i import the same Iview to the sys2 its giving this error. In both the systems SYSTEMS are created.

ESS Bus. Pkg EP 6.0 SP19 to R/3 4.7 ext.2 - IAC iView Problem

Given the above components, I've deployed the ESS business package to the Portal. All components deployed successfully... no errors. I'm creating a new Role (custom, not from BP) and I'd like to use one of the iViews from the Business package in this role. I'm using the "Enrollments" iView which seems to be an IAC iView calling PZ14.
Now the problem... when I access this iView via the Portal, ITS is called and the iView loads but only shows me the Easy Access Menu (SMEN). PZ14 never loads. I can enter PZ14 in the transaction field and it will load but it doesn't come up on its own. I also created a SAP GUI for HTML transaction iView to test PZ14 and that one works fine. To meet the customer's requirements though it must look "pretty" ... like the IAC iView does.
The only thing I changed on the iView was the system alias. Changed it from SAP_R3_HumanResources to SAP_R3 (this is the proper name of the system I'm using to test).
Any ideas?

This has been resolved. Oddly enough, I inadvertantly added /webgui/! to the end of the ITS Path definition in the system object. This was causing the afore mentioned behavior. Once removed, the iView behaved as expected.

URL iView Problem - How to Use URL Parameter of Type 'User Information'

Hello URL iView experts
I am currently working on integration of backend-functionality with the help of an URL iView.
I want to use a parameter of type 'User Information'. In SAP Help Library it is said, that it is possible to set the value of a parameter according to a dynamic query on the users attributes. (Link SAP HELP)
It is also said, that one can retrieve the Logon ID of the users account.(Attribute Name: j_user -> Link SAP HELP Attributes )
I can choose the type 'User Information' but i don't know what to specify in the field 'Value'.

But if i am calling the application this way, he doesn't retrieve the Logon-ID of the account, but he just uses the 'j_user' as value for the parameter.
Can you tell me, what i need to specify in the field value?

This is not correct; on the help.sap.com-page concerning the URL-iView-Parameters, it is printed that "other attributes (general, account, group, role) are not supported". The j_user attribute is part of the account group, so - not supported.
For your needs, it may be a better choose to use the AppIntegrator, which offers such a possibility by using "<User.LogonUid>"; see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/36/5e3842134bad04e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm and https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e0cbc309-ff89-2a10-8bad-bcde4c152ecb

MSS 60.1 Employee Documents iView problem

Hi guys!
I have implemented MSS BP ver. 60.1.19 and have problem with Employee Documents iView. It points on non-existing KM folder. However, if I would create it, it wouldn't help, because the portal creates user home folders in another path than the iView uses. Have someone of you solved this problem?

We had this problem and SAP gave us some new PAR files which fixed the problem.

Making pdf content downloadable via link in Iview problem

Hi,
I have been having problems with the following scripting code, where I have a link that when clicked makes a PDF file stored in the KM downloadable to the users local area.The file does download to the users desktop but when opened, the content is corrupt. So when a user clicks the view link the PDF document is loaded into the browser iframe with no issues. However when they click the download link they get the attached error.The file can be viewed properly through an iframe in an iview on the portal but when downloaded via this script 'token missing' errors occur.
I have pasted the code and would appreciate any help offered.

I am not quite sure what this is supposed to be doing, however, a better method would be to have a custom component which accepts a RID to a resource. This component would then read the content of the PDF (using its bytes) and write these bytes out to the HttpServletResponse output stream. You need to make sure that the HTTP header content-disposition is also set correctly (can't remember exactly what this should be, however, a quick google search should return the correct results).
This should be all you need to do I believe. Let me know if you need any help with this further

ISR Form Java Iview problem.

Hello,
We are having an ESS Iview named "Hire External Applicant" in Portal.
This iview has been customised.
I found that to construct this iview "5. Request Form as Java iView in Enterprise Portal 5.0" section from ISR Cookbook is been used.
i.e. Created a request form using java iview.
This iview is being used in two places :
1. Create
2. Update.
Now Create is working fine.
But when this iview is accessed from Update section...i.e. user press update button:
the customized section in java iview is not getting updated.
Where this problem could be.

There is a new form section in existing standard form.
This section contains 4 new customized checkboxes.
When create button is pressed the values from these checkboxes is properly getting updated in R/3.
But when Update is pressed, these values are passing blank "As if nothing is selected" to R/3 module.
But at the time of Update button, all existing standard fields in form are getting updated.
I think that in case of update, these check boxes are not mapped properly to R/3 System.
I opened the par file in NWDS, and found that there is no code for mapping of values, and moreover same iview is working fine while create button is pressed.
Please guide me as of where could be problem.

Who is Who iView: Problem with sorting

Hi out there,
I have the following problem: I would like to have the
Search result generated by the Who is Who iView sorted
by two properties, that is first by ume:lastname and
second by ume:firstname.
The search result will be sorted if I add ume:lastname in
the "Search Result Sort Property" parameter within the iView.
The question is: How to provide the second sort property?
Any hint is highly appreciated

Hope this manual give's you some insight. Sort parameters should be explained. I would suggest writing the two separeted by ,

MSS Iview Problem -Any Experts help please

I've configured ESS BP in my Portal successfully and it's running perfectly fine. Now i've imported MSS also without any problems. Now the issue is when i'm launching the My Staff iViews it gives me a message "Could not connect to the R/3 System" . These iViews using the system object "SAP_R3_HumanResources" which has been used by the ESS iViews also. Now ESS iViews are working fine with the same system object but MSS iviews are giving me the error message.
My System landscape :
MSS BP Installed: BPMSS601_19-20001489
R3- 4.6C
Portal : EP6 Sp11
WAS: 6.40
ITS - Standalone ( Not integrated)
when i test my System object for ITS ,it is working fine , but it is failed   for WAS Connection and Connector test
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks for your response, i am getting same error for all iviews.I pointed that there is some problem with my System object, i tried to test connection for the "Connection Test for Connectors" i am getting following error.But Connection test is success for the "ITS Connection"

MSS Iview problem

Hi,
I'm getting this 'No data available' message in the Attendance Overview iview even though the data is maintained in R/3. i'm using MSS 60.1.3
Any ideas?

Is this the only iview this is happening on? I had simular problems but it was related to having chief access and 105 in R/3. Verify you have the HR system set up with an allias SAP_R3_HumanResources under System Administration/System Configuration/Systems (you have probably already done this but double check). Also if you aren't using single sign on or something like that make sure you have usermapping under personalization set up for SAP_R3_HumanResources.
I know these are the basics and you have probably gone over this already. But it has been the little stuff that has bit me every time.

I am trying to change name of view and New bank buttons in ess/bank iview.
I didn't find the view which got these buttons. I even checked in used dc like ess/pss but this dc got previous and next button which are common for all applications. But my problem is to change view and New bank buttons. Can anyone tell me from where these button are coming.

ABAP Transaction iview Problems.

Dear experts.
I have created a Abap transaction iview in portal which navigates to one ABAP transaction after opening. But my requirement is not to show the command box after going to that transaction, because by using that they can enter the other transaction code in that command box and go to other transactions.
So I want to hide that command box. Is there any way to hide that?

Hi,
Check the SAP Note 1010519 for the solution.
Also try to set the ~webgui_simple_toolbar=1 parameter under transaction sicf.

Drag & Relate Query iView Problem

Hi,
I just trying the weblog
1-2-3 Drag&Relate (or D&R for dummies)
So all the steps mentioned in that i have followed properly but in Content Admin --> unification under Business Objects i do get sales and stores and i define them according to weblog as source and destination but under <b>edit</b> mode Relation Type is <b>Empty</b> which i think should be <b>manual</b> or something and all the other things are same as shown is screen-shot of the weblog and also in the enduser screen i get message
<b>Query execution failed. Exception message: Error trying to execute a query statement against MetaMatrix: Error trying to establish connection to the EIS : null</b>
So i have no clue what could be possible problem

Drag&Relate and Related links iviews are 2 different types of iviews.
1) Drag&Relate iview is part of the unification capability of the portal which can be used to get meaningful data by creating relations between business objects. Check

2) Related links iviews are iviews which are added as links or refernce iviews to existing iviews or pages so that it is easier to find them while navigating in the portal.

My Assets iView problem (ESS 50.1.) - "End of Session" returns from ITS

Hi guys!
I have problem with some IAC iViews of ESS 50.1. BP. When I click the link to some of them - My Assets for example, I get screen from its with following message:
End of Session. Thank you for working with Internet Transaction Server.
Other iViews from the BP work fine.
What could be the problem?

Instructor portal iview problem

Friends,
when i click a course from the instructor iview(Instrucor's work center iview) of Instructor portal i am getting the following error.
There is no iView available for system "SAP_ERP_TrainingManagement": object "course". For more information, contact your administrator.
Please help me to solve the problem.

Did u performed the follow up or training appraisals configurations in backend ?
There is node in spro for enabling the web training appraisal/follow up actions. Make sure you complete this one.
Also, check the entry in table t77s0 with parameters HRLSO TEMPL in order to display the link in Learning Portal.

MDM iView problem from Business Package in Portals SR1

Hi,
I installed MDM Business Package 3.0 in Enterprise Portals 6.0 SR1. When i execute the iView in Portals, its asking me to download the security file. When i change the iView property from WebGUi to WinGui, its working properly.
Did anyone faced the same problem.

please turn off the Accessibility option in your portal personalization options (upper right corner, Personalize -> User Profile -> Activate Accessibility Features:
(Screen reader required) -> turn it off.
Does it work now as expected ?
