BI-Kit Visual Admin Configuration

Hi all,
I just want to try out the visual composer using the bi-kit.
I just heard, that I have to configure some options concerning the bi-kit in visual admin for using it.
Does anybody know what to configure in detail?
Kind regards, Patrick.

Hi Patrick,
you can set all the VC parameters in Visual Admin under
1. Launch the Visual Administrator.
2. Connect the relevant machine.
3. Navigate to Server -> Services -> Visual Composer - Development server

This question is marked both answered and u2018not solvedu2019.
In case you are still looking for an answer, Config Tool Export and Import should be used instead of Visual Admin.
    Hope this helps.

  • Is there configuration setting file that shows settings in visual admin

Is there a configuration file or text file that shows visual admin parameter settings that i view without starting up visual administration.
    Thanks
    Weyland Yutani

The use of Visual Administrator is the fact, that those "configurations" are spread across the filesystem and in the database. You could do everything done with VA also by hand by editing .properties files or change XML files.

  • How to log on to visual admin and create destination service

    Hi all,
I see this statement everywhere while trying to configure adobe forms.
*it was only the HTTP destination FPICF_DATA_<SID> that was not created in the Visual Admin under Cluster -> Services -> Destinations*_
    I got 2 questions here:-
    1. the programs "FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE" runs fine w/o destination check box. andwith the check box it gives the error "ADS: Request start time: Thu Nov 26 12:07:42 ........". SO how to resolve this. I have checked the blogs before and I did everything so far and stuck at the statement given above in bold.
    2. What  is this destination fp_icf_data_sid........... where to look for, I understand u need to log on to visual adm. But how is there a sap transaction "AL11" or from the web url.   if it is web url  ...   "http://server_name:port/ ....." then I am lost after this I dont see anything called cluster and services anywhere....
And if am looking for visual admin at wrong places please provide step by step guide. I have seen steps to log on to visual admin on wesites but i dont know what am i doing, thats not clear. If someone can help from here.
    Thanks,
    Anu.

The Visual Administrator is a Java tool installed during the installation of a Java AS. It is a separate tool that can be copied and used remotely if desired. On a system running Java AS it can be found under /usr/sap/<SID>/JC00/j2ee/admin - just run 'go' under Linux/Unix or 'go.bat' under Windows. You must have Java installed on your remote system.
Once you have logged into your Java AS system using the Visual Administrator you can then setup your "Destinations", located under Server -> Services.
Check Note 944221 - Troubleshooting if problems occur in forms processing ...which will make clear the errors you are experiencing and help you solve them.

    Hi,
The problem occured after the following setting was changed.
    Recent change done in WAS:
In Visual Admin>> Services >> Security Provider >> Policy Configuration >> J2EE-Engine, the authentication was set to "no". Most probably this has been changed to "ticket" authentication template and the ticket template contains only "EvaluateTicketLoginModule" login module.

  • Can't locate .properties file on Visual Admin

    Hello,
I have created an RID.properties file inside a DynPro application under src/packages/... and I am able to load it and get it's attributes from the DynPro code.
    So far so good...
As far as I know this properties file can be viewd and modifed on the Visual Admin under:
    Configuration Adapter -> webdynpro...
I've browsed all the folders at this location and couldn't locate my .properties file. So where is it...?
    Roy

i think you only want to access and maintain the properties on server side...
    ok, check out
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/b8/aa343e32ff1033e10000000a114084/content.htm
for an example how to access the properties from your wdp app.
i suggest loading all props into a specific context node and corresponding attributes. perhaps there are better ways.
    Now sth. uncomfortable:
Be careful when you redeploy your app. All properties are overwritten with the ones you defined locally.
you also cant delete the config on local side, it would be deleted on server, too. (at least i think so)

  • Virsa application components not found in Visual Admin tool (GRC AC 5.3)

    Hi experts,
I have this weird issue. I was trying to run the background job to synch the backend roles, users and profiles in CC. But when I checked the background job deamon through this link
http://209.207.245.71:50000/sap/CCADStatus.jsp  , the screen was blink.
I searched and found this note #999785.
When I looked for the " virsa/ccxsysbgear application" through the Visual Administrator, I could not find any of the Virsa components application in our GRC server under this path:
Visual Admin --> cluster tab --> deploy folder --> virsa/*  (all components)
We have AE, FF configured and running in our development server. Now I am configuring the CC and found all the virsa application services are missing.
We are implemented GRC Access control 5.3 . Any ideas how to get these components deployed and running in the Visual Admin tool??
Some of the sample deployed components are
    1. virsa/ccxsysbgear application '
    2. virsa/ccume
    3. virsa/AEume
    4. virsa/ccxsysbher etc
    Greatly appreciate your help!
    Thanks
    Siri

I found these files with the new name.. There is no virsa tag for these files.

  • Error while starting Visual Admin

    Hi,
I am stuck again at another problem. before installing SAP XI, i was setting configurations in visual admin. As per the guide, i set the initial and maximum connections in the frame server-services-JDBC connector. After setting the configurations, i stopped the JDBC connector service. when i again tried to start, it got stuck.
Now, even after the restart of J2EE instance, Visual Admin is not connecting to the server node and showing exception " Java.lang.NullPointerException".
Is it possible to restore the previous state of Visual Admin?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Nitin.

Did you try going to the Configtool and setting it up. You can locate this by going to /usr/sap/SVA/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/configtool/configtool.bat
This is the place where you can set the parameters etc. and restore J2EE Server

    Visual Administrator includes functions for:
    a) Obtaining general information about a service, manager, interface, or library (for example, its name, group,    and so on).
    b) Logging on to the J2EE Engine via the Visual Administrator tool
    c) Administrating and changing the properties either specific or common for each service or manager
