Where can i download BI Publisher Converter for converting Oracle Reports to BI Publisher? and is it free or can i get a trial version?

The conversion utility, BIPBatchConversion, is only available in BI Publisher Enterprise 10.1.3.3 or Oracle EBS:
"For customers using Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS), these libraries are available under JAVA_TOP. If these libraries are not there, the corresponding classes will be there under the JAVA_TOP.
For customer using Oracle BI Publisher Enterprise (sometimes referred to as "standalone"), all these libraries are available under WEB-INF\lib."
You can download them for free.

Actually We have to generate reports using XML Publisher.For this we gone through the documents provided by XML Publisher.As per Pusher documents we followed the steps.
Taken the Oracle Apps Report.Converted into .xml file then converted into XML Schema (.xsd) by using Stylus studio.
Now we are not able to create .rtf file.
please help us.

A Microsoft Publisher converter

hi need a converter for publisher from PC to my mac a freind of mine cant changer her format for it to be reabable on non microsoft publisher users. HELPPP!

Do you need to just view and or print the file on your mac? If so just tell your friend to print the publisher document to a file. There should be a check box in the print dialogue to do this. It will prompt you for a file name so just type c:\yourfilename.ps
Transfer this over to your mac then you can 'probably' just double click it to open in preview as it should convert it to a pdf. if that doesnt work try opening preview then dropping the .ps file onto its icon.
This should work as i deal with postscripts all the time often have to convert nasty publisher files into something i can print from indesign on a mac. I normally use acrobat distiller to convert the postscript file but preview should do it.
It is possible to then edit the PDF file you have created but you will need the full acrobat professional, illustrator and or photoshop depending on what you want to edit.

Converting Crystal Reports to Oracle BI publisher Reports

We are trying to convert the existing Crystal Reports to Oracle BI publisher. Hence, I was wondering if any of you may have undergone this conversion process and would let me know how to approach this task?
Are there any tools that can be used to convert the Crystal Reports to BI publisher. I am aware of the Oracle listed tools for Oracle Reports / Actuate Reports to BI Publisher. But, I dont find any for Crystal Reports.

Png within my document when converted to a pdf are printing black and white rest is color-help! WHY?

I am creating a document in Publisher & converting to a pdf. Most of my png elements within the document, are then printing black and white from the pdf (everything else is in color)? Don't know what is going on, doesn't seem to happen on all printers, is there a setting I am missing? Help! Thanks

Could be a setting in the PNGs when they are saved.
Have you tried saving them as GIFs and replacing them in the document(s)?

Convert XSL-FO template back to RTF template

Report's layout that I have to create has strict size requirements (e.g. page margins, cell sizes and so on).
I created a simple RTF template using MS Word. RTF template meets this size requirements but when I print my report using Acrobat Reader report looks different.
I know that this happens because at runtime BI Publisher converts report to XSL-FO automatically to XSL-FO and only after that it renders pdf.
In order to meet thissize requirements I converted my RTF template to XSL-FO stylesheet using Template Builder and changed appropriate cells and margins etc. manually.
And everything works well but now I know that there will be a lot of changes in this report's layout (e.g. several complex tables will be added).
It's quit difficult for me to create tables in XSL-FO. And so my question is
HOW CAN I CONVERT MY XSL-FO STYLESHEET BACK INTO RTF FORMAT WITH ALL THE LOGIC IT HAS?

Publisher and pt adaptive tags in content canvas

I put some pt:opener tags in a publisher content canvas and when I save it, publisher convert the all to <standard.opener and removed the pt: Of course when this displays on a page, it is inactive (not clickable) Can we not put pt tags in Publisher?

We spoke with BEA about this and they are simply not supported in the current rich text editor.
We wanted to put links in publisher to link to portal pages and we have come up with some workarounds. One workaround is to link to the page like this
http://server.com/portal/server.pt?uuID={XYX}
This link will open a page given a uuid. You can throw in mode=2 etc also. UUids are great because they don't change during a migration from dev to prod.

Results for videos with my brand new VC3 have been great. My question is: can I record and publish just an audio track and burn it to a CD? I know I can record it - no problem; my question is about publishing.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply.
Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how find the Custom option and uncheck the video button as you suggested.
In the meantime, a friend suggested http://www.aoamedia.com/audioextractor.htm. It's a free download. It was quick and easy to use.
This pleases me because after a rather steep learning curve, I'm now very comfortable with my VC3. Now I can do all my audio stuff on it, publish, convert and be happy.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to update data to look up field.
I have a test about updating look up field using Client Object Model in my environment. lookup field will accept an array to set the field value.

Golive CS2 too slow on my Mac g5 to get any work done?

For the past 2 years I have been slowly building a rather large web site (about 2000 hours invested). We will be selling items we import from india (my girlfriend and I spend 3 moths a year in India) and then there is an entire section on India travel tips, photos and travel logs.
I am pleased with Golive 6.01 and recently converted my site to CS2, just to find it is very slow on my macintosh G5 and many weird bugs And site looks the same as in 6.01 when previewed in various browsers. Also in CS2 when I click on preview button, the page I want to work on closes and the page that brought me to that page pops up.
I bought a G5 macintosh which should run CS2 more quickly but:
I have yet to see my site in Explorer 7 for Windows because Microsoft did not make Explorer for Mac after version 5.0.
My question is:
Why not complete site in 6.01 and then before it is published convert to CS2. I can't get anything done with CS2 it is just way too slow.

Hi all:
Been cleaning up Site (weird files not in my site but on desktop keep showing up as errors) got ride of them. Turned of my internet connection). Things seem to be getting better.......for now. Working on G4....will move to my G5 and see.
Might pull this one out.
Why several target files with only one source show as an error is an irratation because help says it's not really an error and can be ignored.
OH...one quick question do SOURCE files get uploaded to host when one publishes? Or perhaps a better question! Do SOURCE files need to be uploaded to host. I suspect not...but I also suspect It's OK..might just slow things down a bit?

Presenter 6. Mainly, we're not seeing any feedback boxes that we
set up. Do we have to be set up with the Connect Enterprise server
for them to work correctly? Also, do they have to be set up with
our LMS to display properly?

When you add any question to a quiz in Presenter's quiz
manger, on exiting quiz manager question slides are generated.
These slides have feedback messages. But when you publish (convert
to flash) presentation, if you have not attempted the question then
you will not see any feedback messages. They will appear on
answering any question.

Links do not work on Macs in document converted to PDF from Publisher 2007

Not sure whether to post this under Acrobat Windows or Mac as the PDFs are generated on a Windows PC but the problem involves Macs. I have come up against a very strange problem. I have converted an MS Publisher document to PDF using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on Windows 7. The converted hyperlinks in this document work well on three separate Windows PCs (2 running XP, 1 running Windows 7) but when a Mac user views the PDF, the hyperlinks are not active.
What could be the possible cause of this? Any help appreciated.

More than likely it's because they are not using Adobe Reader or Acrobat to view the file. Ask them to be sure they are not using Mac Preview or another third party PDF viewer.

Now I bought it and it won't convert the files. I am ready to throw this computer out the window!! Can you tell me what is the problem? No it does not exceed 100 M. either.

Adobe Reader never converted Publisher files to PDF, for free, never. I suspect you use to have the (paid for) Adobe Acrobat. Sometimes people have Acrobat (more than $300 worth) and install Adobe Reader over the top, losing that valuable software.
That said, if you subscribed to PDF Pack it should do this conversion. What exactly happens now.
