BI Publisher Graph Properties

Hello Guys,
I need a BI Publisher graph created where we have 2 measures over a period. Measure A we need in Bar and Measure B we need in line. Is it possible? can you please advise.
The Pareto Graph looks different.
Thank You,

    Hi,
I have made some changes in the Graph properties in web template,
Eg. : 1. change in color of a series for a columnar type graph
2.change in the Text properties of Graph Series..
When I save the template and try to run in the Browser, these changes are not getting reflected.
Can anybody help me in this aspect ?
    Thanks.

  • Cannot Open BI Publisher Field Properties

    Hello Everyone,
I am new to using BI publisher and developing RTF reports. I have successfully installed BIPublisher_11.1.1.3_Desktop in my computer. And i get BI publisher as a addin in my Microsoft Word 2007 installed in my Windows 7 - 32bit operating system.
So i created a simple report loaded the XML data and previewed it without a problem.
But my problem is whenever i double click on a field in the report or right click > BI Pulisher > Properties, before loading the XML data i could get the properties popup fine but after loading the XML data it shows "Starting .Net runtime...." and then it vanishes without the properties pop up.
I have .Net Framework 2.0 installed by default, i reinstalled BI Publisher and tried still the same. I updated .Net framework version to 4 but still the same. Is it a known issue? or is there a work around. And also to add the same XML data works fine with other computers with the same configuration. Please help me out with this.
    Thanks & Regards
    John.

can u uninstall this and install 11.1.1.5 desktop plugin and when the installation is complete it will automatically opens an bi publisher tutorial word document wait until u see that.

  • Pass entire list of XY graph properties from Main vi to Subvi XY Graph

    Hello Everyone,
I have an XY graph in my main vi that allows users to review data.  They have control over how they want to display the data on this graph(scale, color, line style, etc).  I have a subvi that excepts and array of XY graph plots (multi-plot) and prints the graph as the user has set it up.  As of right now I am passing only certain properties from the main XY graph to the subvi XY graph using property nodes.  Using this method only the important items are being passed (scale, flipped, xy scale name label) mainly because I have been to lazy to sit down and make a cluster containing all the property values.  I have to beleive that there is a way for me to pass a reference from the main XY graph to the subvi XY graph that will set all the properties in the Subvi graph to the same settings that the Main XY graph has.
    Thank you in advance,
    Steve

Passing a reference to the subvi seems to be half of the solution that I am looking for.  This allows me full access to all propertys of the main graph.  The problem is that once I am inside the subvi I still have to select what properties I want to pass to the subvi graph. (see attached image).  My goal is to pass the reference to the subvi and then have every property of the main graph be assinged to every property of the subvi graph.  This way no matter what the user changes on the main graph (line style, width, color, scales, precision, etc) the subvi graph will reflect this.  With the method displayed in the image I have to manually select the properties that I think will most likely be edited.  And if I miss one the user will not get an exact match of the main graph.  I am hoping there is a way to do this, if not then I will just have to sit down and pass all the property values from the reference to the subvi graph but this seems like the hard way of doing it.

How do I set the cal factor under properties in a graph window to different values using a GUI interface; button, or selector?

Sorry about that, what I meant to say was "multiplier". I need two different multipliers at different times.

  • Refresh graph properties (colors...) when front panel not opened

I have a problem with setting the plot properties of a multiple xy-graph.
I first pass the data (n plots, number variable) to the graph control, THEN I set the according properties like color, line style etc. by a property node beginning with "active plot" followed by the properties. So when I set them, the xy-graph is already initialized with n plots.
Afterwards, I take the graph picture and save it to a bitmap-file.
That works fine as long as the front panel is opened or the number of plots and their attributes stays constant. But if the panel is closed (which is the default of that VI) and the number of plots changes, I get only as many plots plotted correctly as there are shown in the plot legend
    - regardless of if the legend is shown or not.
I don't like the idea of having a huge legend on the panel which still might be too small sometimes or having the legend scaled by it's height-property in pixels.
What I need is something like a .refresh-method that forces the graph to update even if the front panel is closed. Any idea how to do this?
    Cheers & thanks, Daniel

The issue you are seeing is because LabVIEW doesn't update the controls/indicator of a front panel that is not open. This is done to save computer resources. The simple way around this is to use VI server to open the front panel for it to update and then close it again. You can use the VI property FP.position to move the window offscreen where it can't be seen and perform the open/close. This will get you the results you are after while still allowing the illusion of a closed front panel.

  • Unable to process composite sensor published for properties in 11g

    Hi Team,
    Here is what iam doing
created a composite sensor to publish a property tracking.compositeInstanceCreatedTime on the binding invocation. This is published to queue and another composite created to consume from this queue. The second composite contains BPEL process, to process the published sensor data. second composite recieved the sensor data successfully, but unable to process the message because prefix being attached itself is xmlns. it look like xmlns:xmlns, the error namespace prefix can not contain xml. I was able to read the published sensor data from queue.
    <actionData
    xmlns:xmlns='http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/sensor' xmlns='http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/sensor'><header><compositeDN>default/SCM_Convergence_POC_ReflowHan!1.0*soa_61b195a8-01a1-4923-ab66-8dd6723dad6c</compositeDN><compositeInstanceId>160483</compositeInstanceId><componentName>ccp_getpoinfo_client_ep</componentName><sensor filter="" sensorName="toBAM" target="undefined" kind="service" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/sensor">

    </sensor>
    </header><payload><serviceData>Tue Sep 20 07:17:02 EDT 2011</serviceData></payload></actionData>
I tried another tracking properties, still the same issue.
Is there a way to resolve this?
    Ram

    Hi Team,
I had to capture composite start time using a DB trigger on Composite_instance table.
Is there a work around for the above error, so that i can do it using composite sensor?
Any one else faced same issue?

  • How to get and set graph propertis using UIGraph instance

    Hi,
I have added barGraph graph component on *.jspx and also added buttons like "Get properties" and "Set Properties". On "Get Properties" button action, I want to get all the attrributes of barGraph using UIGraph and also want to get "getGroupAttributes" and "getSeriesAttributes".
I saw examples on gettiing the Group attributes using the click event on the graph.
Is there any way to get the attributes on some button action like "Get Properties" without any click event on graph?
    Thanks,
    Gopal

[Copying the answer here from the internal forum discussion so that other customers can benefit]
    Hi Gopal,
You can call getValue on the UIGraph to get the GraphDataModel, then to use the data access APIs from there.
Once you get the DataAccess from the GraphDataModel, you can call getMemberMetadata to get the members on the row and column edge.
This method is documented in the interface CDFDataAccess:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/apirefs.1112/e17492/oracle/dss/util/CDFDataAccess.html#getMemberMetadata%28int,%20int,%20int,%20java.lang.String%29
You should use the following constants for the series and groups:
    DataDirector.COLUMN_EDGE=groups
    DataDirector.ROW_EDGE=series
Use the method getEdgeExtent to find out how many members are in the series and groups:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/apirefs.1112/e17492/oracle/dss/util/CDFDataAccess.html#getEdgeExtent%28int%29
Method getLayerMetadata is the correct way to get the names of the layers, a.k.a "dimensions" displayed in the graph.
DataAccess is used to read the data from the Graph. You set the data in the Graph by setting tabular data, using data binding by dragging and dropping from the data control palette, or by implementing a custom DataSource and setting it on the graph.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/apirefs.1112/e17492/oracle/dss/dataView/CommonDataview.html#setDataSource%28oracle.dss.util.DataSource%29
However, implementing a custom data source is not trivial, and you should only use that approach if you can't use tabular data or regular binding against the available data controls.
This doc chapter might help in understanding data source requirements for different Graph types:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/web.1112/e16181/dv_graph.htm#CEGBGCDG
    Hope this helps,
    Katia

  • Graph properties

    Hi
With Labview 7.1, I want to "synchronize" the properties of 2 graphs on 2
    different vis.
    I would like to :
    - collect ALL the properties/attributes of a graph object (axis scales,
    colors, cursors...),
    - pass them to a called sub-vi through a cluster,
    - apply them to another graph object, which is on the front pannel of the
    called sub-vi.
With a property mode, I know how to read/write the properties one by one,
but it would be convenient to get/set all of them with a cluster for
    exemple. Is it possible ?
    Thanks.
    Eric

    Eric -
I've written a vi that does this, one property node at a time, and it's not too heavy. You pass a reference to the control and select 'Write to Graph' or 'Read from Graph'. It was developed in LV 6.1, so some of the properties are missing, and it's not perfect. But if you'd like it as a starting point, I've included it here.

  • Graph Properties: Coordinate definition. Bug or feature?

Can please anybody bring some light into position (and size) properties
    of graph objects???
(Concerns Labview 6i (and probably also earlier versions).)
I do not understand the exact coordinate definition, especially for
graphs and its subobjects. It seems not straightforward, and I have the
impression that not all properties can be set.
You can set the position of the entire graph object, but not of the main
plot area. The effects of that depend on settings of subobjects (e.g.
    legend etc.).
This has the effect that multiple application of the same values of the
properties led each time to a different result, which is at least
puzzeling. If I do not w
ant to call it a bug.
I see some ways to work around this, but it seems all unclear and
complicated to me. Also the documentation does not help me.
Can please anybody bring some light into position (and size) properties
    of graph objects???
    Thanks,
    Gilbert
P.S.: Since not everything is very easy to understand, I have attached a
nice and funny little example which sould make everything clear. Read
    the VI description.

  • Xml publisher graph is not displaying

    Hi All,
I have created xml report which is having graph .It display through oracle apps(conc pgrm ) properly in test instance but after moving to production graph is not displaying .for that i have checked Xserver setup also everything is working fine.
Can any body tell me other possible reason and solution urgently .
    Regards
    RLRaj

    Hi,
Use <?start:body?> for defining your header and it will repeat on every page.
Also add <?end body?> as closing, for footer logic.

  • Information in Bi Publisher PDF Properties

Is is possible to have audit information in the properties of the pdf that specifies the authenticity of the document (date of creation, no modifications, date of modifications ...) for legal requirements?

Not sure what version you are on, but later versions of BIP standalone support the addition of a digital signature to your PDF output. Check the user docs for details.

  • Line graph properties

    Hi,
    I got a table like this :
    ID - TIMESTAMP - HISTORY - FUTURE
    1 - 26 jan 2010 - 22 - 0
    1 - 27 jan 2010 - 26 - 0
    1 - 28 jan 2010 - 30 - 0
    1 - 29 jan 2010 - 32 - 32
    1 - 30 jan 2010 - 0 - 35
    1 - 31 jan 2010 - 0 - 39
    1 - 1 feb 2010 - 0 - 43
I want to create a line graph, but I need a contineous graph with on the X-axis the timestamp,
and the Y-axis first the History, and then seemlessly followed by the Future values.
Now I get at 29 jan 2010 a sort of cross in my graphic.
I mean : the future graph starts plotting at 28 jan and rising until value 32 at 29 jan, and it should stay 0 until 29th jan.
    Is this possible ?
Edited by: Facehugger on Feb 23, 2010 6:20 AM

    Hi,
    Thanks for the tip.
Now I get 1 smooth line showing both history and forecast without a 'fade out' in the middle from
history and a 'fade in' in the middle from forecast.
    This is my query :
    SELECT Measurements.OBJECTID,
    Measurements.TIMESTAMP,
    CASE
    WHEN Measurements.FORECAST =0
    THEN Measurements.HISTORY
    ELSE Measurements.FORECAST
    END
    FROM MEASUREMENTS Measurements
    But ...
How can I use 2 colors like this example :
    http://www.fraport.com/cms/media/184/184224.forecast_2020.jpg
    blue = history
    green = forecast
This is also an example of the type of graph I want to create :
    http://www.dft.gov.uk/144130/185507/209573/Road_Traffic_Forecasts.gif
So multiple lines in different colors, where some of the values are 0 (the first 10 for example).
    Thanks in advance.

when i register rtf template in apps it just show data in xml not apply template without chart/graph it's work fine in apps
    please guide me.
    thanks
    Adnan zafar goraya

    Hello Adnan,
To have the XML Publisher graphs display when started from Concurrent request, the DISPLAY environment variable must be specified.
Please review the following Note on how to setup the Xserver
Configuring VNC Or XVFB As The X Server For Applications 11i (Doc ID 181244.1)
After this is done, you can run once again the concurrent program and check the output.
