BI Publisher - unable to open report

Hello,
After an uninstall and reinstall of OBIEE, I have a stranged thing in BI Publisher. When I click on a one directory of "Shared folders", the path I seen is :
Home > Shared Folders > D: > OracleBI > xmlp > XMLP > Reports > Business Intelligence
instead of
Home > Shared Folders > Business Intelligence
and I don't see the report under this directory.
Is someone has an idea how to resolve that ?

In fact, we have seen that we have this problem when we put OC4J as a service. It's the only server on which we have this problem (on the other server we have installed OBISE but on this one it's OBIEE 10.1.3.4) ... so we have let OC4J in the command window which is not a good solution for us but as we don't see the error when OC4J is a service we don't have found another solution ... so if someone has an idea, it would be great.

Try changing the idle connection timeout on your Web Intelligence Processing Server to 60 minutes (from the CMC).
If this doesn't work, please add a trace to the Web Intelligence Processing Server (add a -trace to the command line parameters of the server). and post the log for the relevant time period.

Unable to open report from forms 9i

Unable to open report from forms 9i and got the following error.
Error : REP-0503, You did not specify the name of a report
Steps followed
1.Created report object in forms using existing report
2.changed the following properties
Exec. mode : runtime
comm mode : synchronous
3. When -button -Pressed Trigger;
Declare
Repid report_object;
Begin
repid:=find_report_object('report4');
v_rep:=run_report_object(repid);
End;

did you specify a Reports rdf or rep file that should be run. You can do this either in a trigger or as a property of the Reports object node in Forms.

Unable to open reports in web browser through 9ias

Hi ...
I got the following error when i am clling from web.
I saved my reports into database from .rdf format.
Error: The requested URL was not found, or cannot be served at
this time.
Oracle Reports Server CGI - Report Job has terminated with error.
Reports Server Replies:
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'STATION'.
REP-1070: Error while opening or saving a document.
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'STATION'.

Hi,
Just check I think users are executing reports first time, Go to Start Menu of Windows -> All Programs -> Business Explorer -> Analyser.
Then a pop windows will come which will ask for enabling Macros in Excel.
Check the Authorization Role for User in TCode PFCG, Check the Sub option for S_RS_COMP & S_RS_COMP1.

Post upgrade to 3.1 issues : Unable to open report query

Hi,
We have upgraded our APEX version from 3.0 to 3.1. We have some wierd problems now
1. I tried to add a new column link to an existing report region and I get an error.
failed to parse SQL query:
ORA-00911: invalid character
2. I have to make some changes to an existing report query and I am unable to open it. I Get the following error:
ORA-01461: can bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column
Can anybody let me know the reason for these errors.

Hi Scott,
We created a test case on apex.oracle.com in my workspace (DGIELIS_31)
It's Application 54025, the query is called "Test Big Query".
Currently it works, but edit the query and copy one of the comment lines and paste it in to take it over 4k. You should get the same error.
Just for the record:
- in APEX 3.0 in a non UTF-8 (WE8ISO8859P15) database this query was working
- When migrating to UTF-8 database with APEX 3.1.1 we can't open the queries.
- We can't use a view in this case, it's a pretty complex query which already uses MV's and the tables in questions are pretty huge. The query we had to come up with is pretty big to get optimal performance.

Few Users are unable to open reports from workspace

Few users are nt able to open reports from workspace. Can anyone let em know what all privalleges we need to give for the users who want to open reports.

In general if a user can see a report and cannot open, this should be related with the application security that the reports' grid is connecting.
If opening request from users are failing with an error, please paste the error here,
Sometimes reports may be open with blank pages or no data, make sure users have necessary access to data...easy way to check this, connect to application and try to retrieve data from application, Lets say your report grid is connecting to Essbase, try if you can retrieve same grid from essbase excel add-in.

Unable to Open Report V10 Error REP0118

Hi,
I used to open existing reports without problems on Windows 2000, but my workstation has been modified, 2 network drives have been added (S: and U:).
I can use Forms but not Reports ( specially the Data Model screen ),
I get an "Unable to Create Temporary File" REP0118 error
I searched in the "D:\oracle\AS10\reports\server" directory, there is .DAT file, but it's binary.
Please someone help me?

Unable to open reports listed in Workspace

Hi All,
I am using EPM 11.1.1.1.0 .
I have created a few reports from the Financial Reporting Studio.
And i have a user who has the "Administrator" provision for "Reporting and Analysis".
When i log into workspace with this user id i get the "Explore" option and i can see the reports listed there but when i try to open it the following error pops up.
Required application context reporting is not available. Please contact your administrator.
I have checked my Financial Reporting Services and they are running fine.

1. OK, then restart of services might help you .
2. Try to restart FR services , and then do the restart of workspace application.

Unable to open reports and web analysis document in workspace

After installing reports and analysis 9.3.1, when I am trying to preview a test report on web or as a pdf preview I am getting these kind of errors.

When I click OK on this it says communication error which says <BR><BR>

Unable to open reports from forms

I managed to configure the forms and report services ( 10g application server ) in my web server , the report server works, only 1 problem , when I run the report , the parameter form came out asking me to select the course report i want.
However, after I selected the value I wanted and press Submit Query, I get a "page cannot be displayed" error.
I think is some configuration I missed out. Can anyone help to verify the configurations I may need?
The version I install is 10.1.2 forms and report services 10g .

I am facing issue while accessing reports from SharePoint sites and below is the error message.

For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors (Fault Detail is equal to Microsoft.ReportingServices.ServiceContract.RsExceptionInfo).
Error message shows "Virus Found", so we have disabled the antivirus scanning (Symantec Protection for real time scanning) and it started working.
We have tried to add ".rdl" and ".rsds" files in the exception, but didn't work. Noticed that issue is happening when we enabled the option "Scan the item when download".
Please suggest how we can rectify the issue without disabling any Symantec settings.

Not sure this option "Scan the item when download" of Symantec will do what action, you may want to get more info from symantec, it seems you have posted in symantec official forum

Open doc URL: unable to open the report in same window

I'm trying to open a report using open doc url with "swindow=same" but still it opens in a separate window. This happens only when I use JAVA viewer. it works fine in ActiveX and HTML but I want this in JAVA viewer as i'm including this page in my JAVA application and it should open the report in the same window. I tried using "<a>URL</a>" and also target="_self" by HTML interpretation for that object but still the same problem. I'm unable to open the report in the same window by using JAVA viewer for Crystal Reports in info view. Please help me!!!
Envirorment Details: Crystal Reports 2008 SP3, BOE XI R3 SP3

I have tested that myself and It seems that HTML interpretation does not work with the Java viewer.
I have also tried using a hyperlink containing javascript
eg.
javascript:window.location.href='http://www.sap.com'
but the java viewer seems always to launch a new window before processing the command.
I would recommend to open a case by SAP support ( httP://service.sap.com/support )

Unable To Open Saved WI Reports in IE 9-Receive Invalid Path Error

I am unable to open any saved web intelligence report documents in Internet Explorer 9. When I select view or modify, the java report panel does not initiate but instead gives me an error stating "Invalid path /AnalyticalReporting/WebiView was requested". Everything works fine if I use Firefox 9. Is it a setting I need to change in internet explorer somewhere or is it a compaitibility issue?
I can create new web intelligence queries and reports in IE 9, but if I try to open a report that I saved, I get an error.

If you are using the older version of BOXI in that case IE 9 is not supported. Please check your Boxi version which supports IE 9 or not.

I've installed and configured EPM System 11.1.1.2 for HFM and I've created sample application COMMA.
Next, I'm trying to run sample Journal or ICP Report (for example, sample report named "Journals"). But system gives me an error like this:

For the benefit of anyone who experiences this error in IIS7, the IUSR_xxx user no longer exists. You must grant permissions to "IIS APPPOOL\hfmAppPool" instead (select the local machine as the "Location" if Windows Explorer complains).
Similarly, for the benefit of those who get the error in HFM 11.1.2.1, security must be applied to the Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\product\FinancialManagement\Web folder.

Unable to open a report in BI Launchpad.

I am unable to open a report in BI Launchpad, but i am able to access the report in RichClient. It's popping with the following error while i am opening the report in BI Launchpad.
While there is no problem in opening other reports with the same universe.i tried by checking the connectivity with the database and objects associated while building the report.

Thanks for your concern, i tried using this process also, but has'nt worked.
By the way i got the issue solved,After a long research i got to know that the issue was with the date function.
As we are migrating from 3.X to 4.X, there is a change in date function, we need to change this as shown below..
first is the 3.X and the preceding is the 4.x. by making these changes in the formula we are able to open the report in BI Launchpad as well with rich-client also..
