BI Publisher Webservice calls throws XDOIOException followed by an Error

Hi,
We have developed a custom Java Web Service which acts as an layer between a .Net application and BI Publisher Web services.
The .Net application submits an XML to custom Java Web Service. The custom Java Web Service then passes the xml to BI Publisher web service (runReport web method) along with the authentication details.
The BI Publisher runReport method processes the record and returns a byte stream which is passed back to .Net application.
1 record = produces 8 pages of PDF
1 Batch = 100 records (processed at a given time) returns 1 pdf containing 100 records
After processing about 25000 records, we are getting the following exceptions:

It is noticed that after logging XDOIOException two times, it throws OutOfMemory error. Currently after every 25000 records, we are restarting the Oracle Weblogic / BI Publisher 11g just to meet our SLAs of PDF generation.
Has anyone of you guys have faced similar errors / have any kind of clues on XDOIOException ?

So I started out using a policy server (using the python
script that you can download in the first article link mentioned)
on the webservice server on port 843 that serves following file:

a request to this policy server. In the end I also added an

have version 9,0,124,0 installed"
Since we have to put a version of this application into
production at the end of this week all help, suggestions and
remarks are really appreciated.

Hi Rita,
I think I had a similar problem. Flex requires that the server on which the flex application is (swf file) must be the same as the one where the the wsdl is called from. In other words if the URL of your wsdl is "machine_name.sap.com", you must call the flex application from "machine_name.sap.com".
There are ways to circumvent this security check flex does apparently, but I was never able to make them work.

I have been calling succesfully an SQL server 2005 stored procedure for the data model of a BI publisher report in 10g, passing it a customerNo parameter.
EXEC     [dbo].[usp_WelcomeLettersConsumerNo]
          @CustomerNo = :sCustomerNo
However it does not work in 11g I get the error:
[Hyperion][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'is'.
which is frustrating as there is no 'is' in the statement (perhaps it is picking up :s?) - I wonder does anyone know if there has been a change in 11g that may be causing this?

As I wrote earlier, WS_TEST is my user into which I load JAX-RPC client. Note that, if you load JAX-RPC client into user another than SYS, you have NOT to use -s -grant public option (wassam wrote about this too). Another thing is that I (finally) didn't load OC4J. To consume WebService I use utl_dbws.invoke(call_Handle CALL, request SYS.XMLTYPE) function.

BRM Webservice call from BPM as an automated activity in CE 7.2

Dear All,
A simple BRM ruleset is created and published as a webservice. The WSDL is available at NWA ->SOA Management-> Application and Scenario Communication-> Single Service Administration.
The webservice test in WSNAVIGATOR provides the expected results.
In the BPM process flow, an automated activity has been created for the webservice call. This activity contains the 'Service Interface' and 'Service Reference' of the imported WSDL.
Issue:
When the process is started, the BRM webservice call results in error. The error is not visible in the log but the process flow shows a green symbol on the automatic activity, thereby indicating that the webservice call does not end and the process remains in 'In progress' state.
Can you please provide your inputs?

All the webservices are configured corectly in External Resources of Process Administrator. Now, the issue is that whenever we are trying to execute the service with good amount of load on OBPM Process Admin Engine, it is throwing the following exception-
"Exception:java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect"
We are unable to find the root cause of the issue as the webservices call is still throwing the above exception.
Please provide some resolution as soon as possible.

Just to be sure, we're talking about a client process in BPM accessing an ILOG web service or a DB web service, right? Is this DB web service something custom built?
Be aware that certain things can run inside the workspace and not the engine. You almost have to work at making this happen. The easiest way is to make this happen is to invoke a BPM object method from within a BPM object presentation or JSP. If you do have this situation open the BPM object method and click on properties and check the box run on server side.
I can't think of anything that wouldn't scale for connections to Web Services in an engine. I'd be looking at tuning your ILog Web services. Perhaps it can't keep up and the engine gets a timeout. How often does this happen? The engine should retry the automatic until is works. But it tries 3 or so times, it gives up. This retry is configurable.

In CE 7.1 Ehp1 we need not publish the web service directly to the service registry. We can publish all the webservices using NetweaverAdministrator.

Error during webservice call

Hi all,
Has anyone worked on Inspire. I am working on a typical scenario integration on primavera with PS.
But when I do start sync I get " could not start Synch. Error during webservice call"
When I check Sender SOAP CC in SAP PI in RWB , I get no information. It's status is green and no logs. Also SXMB_moni has no logs.
Is there a problem with my Sender SOAP CC confihuration .or application has failed
Can anyone help me on this.

Webservice call ends in Verify error during after decoding ( after update to Flex builder 3 /Flex builder 2.01 hotfix 3)

Hi all,
I like to ask if someone has ever get or heard from this
error (or may help me to discuss how would be the best way to fix
it). Also please note that the error didn´t occure when I used
Flexbuilder 2.01 Hotfix 2 and the Flashplayer 9.0.47.
The error just occured in myapp when I make a webservice call
which response message includes a array of parameters.
There is one workaround in the WSDL definition of the
parameters, cause the WSDL contains at this place a <choice>
tag, which is just partial supported by FLEX. The workaround for
this is to use an own wsdl for the flex client where the including
tags use attributes for minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" .
The console window from FB3 shows (beneath some hundred stack

Hi all,
today I found the reason for the crash, whcih occure when my
app called the webservice function in the new flashplayer 9.0.115).
The reason was that in the ResultHandler-function of the
webservice call there were nested "switch" conditions used and in
two of the "case" branches a "break;" missed. So the problem could
easily be fixed, but I just want to inform people if the got a
similar problem they should try to start the problem with "empty"
Result/Fault Handler functions.
( the old version (9.0.47) seems to be more robust against a
missing "break;" , but for sure have other leaks and of course
features)
so kepp on flexing ;)

How to implement Queuing of WebService call.

I have to implement a queuing mechanism for webservice.
The scenario is like a user will invoke the client from his sytem(name:A), this webservice call is received by a server (name:B).
The webservice will internally call a third system(name:C) , but only one instance or only one call to System C is allowed.
So system B can get any number of webservice calls but can only invoke system C one at a time.
The webservice has to be a sync webservice.
Any help forthese issue is highly appreciated.

In WD ABAP, if we want to reimport the service call, we need to follow the same steps which we follow to create a service call.
One thing to notice is that wizard does not allow to give the same method name which we gave/system proposed during the last time service call creation. Hence in the second time when we reimport the service call provide all details and new method name. A new method will be created in Controller (if we use existing controller). During adapting the nodes new nodes/attributes will be created.
Hence the best approach is to before reimporting the service call is to delete the context, attributes and the method created during the previous service call creation.

Endeca webservice call from different Application.

I am trying to call the Endeca (v2.2.2) Webservice, using the client generated class file from the wsdl file (conversation.wsdl) and pass the query to get the result. Steps so far did
•     Use apache cxf codegen plugin 2.7.0 to generate the client classes using the above wsdl.
•     Written junit test case for client class and send the query to server. I can connect to the server but getting back the ConversationFault: Sequence has length 0 but must have length 1
•     The only method I can use to call from the client is conversationPort.query(request), which is generated by cxf wd12java
•     Following is the line of code from the client class

i have two application take as App1 and App2 .i want to make a webservice call from App1 to App2 . through this webservice call i will pull the data from App2 and populate the data inside a .jspx file.
i am not understanding how i will do that.
A service wont allow you to access the live instance of an application and instead create its own data session. So while you can query data that belongs to App2, you wont be able e.g. to access a users uncommitted data changes

Webservice call from one application to another application

Hi all,
I am new in ADF and using jdeveloper version 11.1.1.0.0. Now I am working in an application where my steps are as follows,
i have two application take as App1 and App2 .i want to make a webservice call from App1 to App2 . through this webservice call i will pull the data from App2 and populate the data inside a .jspx file.
i am not understanding how i will do that.
please give your useful comments.

A service wont allow you to access the live instance of an application and instead create its own data session. So while you can query data that belongs to App2, you wont be able e.g. to access a users uncommitted data changes

Webservice call from PCo; FaultException: Authorization fail

Hi,
I am making a ME Webservice call from PCo.
I have configured Destination System, added a service in Configuration tab.
Using 'Test request message', i tested the call with all required inputs, the object is created in ME system.
When the same service is triggered from PLC > PCo, the call fails and i see the following message in Log tab.
UserName/password is correct..
All the required systems are running.

Hello Shridhar, I guess you can use use different user for authentication and user data inside XML request.
In MII, I have used MESYS for authentication and other user name inside the request XML. But you need to make sure user name inside XML has ME_Integrator role.

Debigging Webservice calls using sniffer.exe

I found following article about monitoring Webservice calls from CF using sniccer.exe

When I follower directions how to initiate sniffer I got following errors:
ERROR: transport error 202: bind failed: address already in use
ERROR: JDWP Transport dt_socket failed to initialize, TRANSPORT_INIT(510)
JDWP exit error AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197): No transports initialized [../../../share/back/degub/Init.c:690]
FATAL ERROR in native method: JDWP No transports initialized, jvmtiError=AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197)
I could not find any references to errors I am getting when I googled any of them.

Try adding the "-Xrs" argument in the "Server Settings > Java and JVM" in your CF Administrator. After restarting your CF Server, try invoking the sniffer again.
