BI Scheduler configuration after install

Hi,
I am new to OBIEE 11g. I need to configure the Scheduler in a UAT environment in which all the services are already running for a while now, going thru the Oracle docs they say you need to do the scheduler using the RCU, and i believe RCU is done during installation of the environment.
As my environment is up and running want to know how will i configure the Scheduler and how will i create the tables needed and where are the scripts to create the tables.
I am afraid if i start the RCU again it might mess up the whole environment. I am running on LINUX.
Quick help will be appreciated.

ODBC driver 8.1.5.7 won't configure after installing

After installing the updated ODBC driver 8.1.5.7 that I downloaded from OTN, the Windows apps that we use to dynamically add ODBS DSNs now fails. The app is using standard Windows API calls to dynamically add a DSN from a supplied name provided in the command line. This functionality has worked for many months with the original 8.1.5 ODBC driver but we needed to update it to fix other problems. Now the app is failing. The message I get is "Driver's ConfigDSN, ConfigDriver, or ConfigTranslator failed". Anybody have an idea of what went wrong??

In the release notes that accompany the 8.1.7.2 driver, there's a note that it includes a bug fix that "Fix[es] support of SQLConfigDataSource (Bug1548193)". I suspect I probably broke something when I was on the team for the 8.1.7.1 build when I re-vamped the configuration screen. If this is the case, 8.1.5.7 & 8.1.7.1 would both have this bug. Unfortunately, the ODBC team doesn't appear to be releasing new 8.1.5 drivers, so you'll either have to go back to the previous driver or update your client to 8.1.6 or .7

Hyper-V Failover Cluster Networking Configuration After Install

Hello All,
Is it possible to install hyper-v and failover or in other words create a hyper-v failover cluster and then configure the networking part of the solution later? As I am coming into
terms with the networking part of it, wanted to do it later after the install. Is it possible?
And from later configuration, I am trying to say, creation of NIC Team, Virtual NICs, VLAN tagging, etc.

Failover cluster deployment requires network connectivity between cluster nodes. You can't create a cluster without properly configured TCP\IP on cluster nodes.

Error after installing scheduler schema in BI Publisher

I am using BI publisher for generating a custom report for OIM users. After installing the schedular schema via admin-> Scheduler Configuration -> Install Schema, am getting below error. Please let me the way to resolve if anyone faced this issue.

- Which release of BIP are you using?
- Did you use the BI Publisher installer for BIP or did you install it manually?
- In 10g BIP the prerequisite to install the scheduler schema is to have an existing schema and deploy it there.
- What documentation did you follow?

After installing the lates version of itunes on my Sony Vio, a bubble pops up which says:

Having issues after installing Essbase V9.3.1,configuring the SQL interface

I am having issues after installing Essbase V9.3.1 and configuring the SQL interface. we are using UNIX/AIX box for our Essbase server and UDB DB2 9.1 SP6 as our SQL Interface.
When tried to run an ESSCMD script to perform BUILDDIM operation on Essbase application using the load rule (with the SQL interface), got the error as recorded in the application log file and is attached at the bottom and the .odbc.ini file on the server looks as follows.
Can somebody tell me whether .odbc.ini needs any correction or what else should I do to correct the issue and able to work thru using SQL interface? Appreciate any help provided in this regard. Thanks,

I had similar errors when first setting up the SQL interface. Are you on a 64 bit operating system on the essbase server? If so Essbase needs to use the 32 bit odbc driver, not the default 64 bit driver.
The 32 bit driver is still available here SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe <-----This is the 32 bit (Use)
The Administrative tools by default uses system32\odbcad32.exe <----This is the 64 bit (Don't Use)
Once I opened the 32 bit driver interface directly and set it up the errors went away.

Sql Server 2014 showing no services in the configuration manager after install?

I'm using Windows 8. Recently I downloaded sql server management studio 2014 from the official website. But when I open the Sql server 2014 Configuration Manager there are
no services listed.
During installation, there were no any errors.

Of course not, SSMS = SQL Server Management Studio is just a tool/frontend, not a Service. You have to install SQL Server database engine.

You are right I did the same.
It was a big mess when I did that. I had to reapply patches and re-set DIM settings.
I saw this posting by John in the forms.

Wondering if this is the solution.But I found this post after re-installing planning in Dev and QA.
I am yet to install EPMA in prod. I want to see if I can install it without disturbing other environments.

After installing Firefox 4 Beta 9, using Manual Proxy Configuration fails to connect to the internet and also fails with corporate intranet. Has anything changed?

Initially, Firefox 4 Beta 8 is installed. Manual Proxy Configuration was used, and worked fine.
After installing Beta 9 using the built-in updater, connecting to internet and intranet fails instantly with Page Not Found error. Restarting Firefox does not fix the problem.
Clean install of Beta 9 also exhibits the same problems.

Generate the error message again. While the error message box is open, hold down the Alt key and hit the PrtSc key. Paste the screenshot into an image file (using a program like Paint), and save the file.
Start a reply here and click the wee camera icon at the top of the reply window. Click "Choose file", browse to the image file, select the file and click "Open". Now click "Insert file" to insert the screenshot into the reply.

Error after install SP3 and FixPack 2.5 in BO XI 3.1

We have a problem in BO after install SP3 and FP 2.5 in BO XI 3.1.
Some pages like Infoview and CMC are with wrong words, for example :
In CMC when access one Report and try reschedule it, the page where we configure the properties shows some wrong words and the button "Shedule" is in this format : "???schdule.button.schedule???" and all words "Schedule" in others place too.
Some one knows How can I solve this problem?

Error In Starting Jboss after installing OIM server

Hi All,
I have Installed OIM_Server(OIM 9.1.0.1) ON Jboss server(4.2.3) , I have 1 GB RAM m/c so have JVM setting as -XMS512m -XMX768 m. While installation of OIM Server, it showed the success message. But When I am starting the server , to perform post installation check, it is showing following error message .
Does anybody have any ideas what the problem is? Please provide the possible solution.

Intermittent Internet Connection and VPN clients can't ping internal LAN but connected after installating cisco ASA5512x

Hi!
I wish someone can help me on this, I'm a new guy on cisco firewalls and I'm currently implementing cisco asa 5512x, here are the details:
ISP -> Firewall -> Core switch -> Internal LAN
after installing the cisco asa and terminating the appropriate lan for the outside and inside interfaces, internet seems intermittent and cisco vpn client can connect with internet connection but can't ping internal LAN.

I think you should change your nat-exemption rule to smth more general, like
nat (inside,outside) source static any any destination static NETWORK_OBJ_10.10.10.0_28 NETWORK_OBJ_10.10.10.0_28 no-proxy-arp route-lookup
'cause your inside networks are not the same as your vpn-pool subnet.
Plus, if you're trying to reach inside subnets, different from 10.152.11.0 255.255.255.0 (ip from wich subnet is assignet to your inside interface, and for wich above nat exception should be enough), you should check if routing is configured from that subnets to your vpn-pool-subnet through the ASA.
