Bi Server Connection Refused

Hi, i've installed BI Server EE on a virtual machine.
I press "Start OC4J" and the batch file starts as i think. When i try to start "BI publisher" i see a Java Exception "Connection Refused" Some idea?

Hi MIcheal, i'm working on the same VM, i've got as the db as publisher on this VM, and i try connect to localhost.

ReportViewer control not connecting to the report server - Connection refused

I'm having an issue with connecting to SQL report server using the ReportViewer control. Thing is when I connect to the reporting services web service (http://10.3.27.80/ReportServer/ReportService2010.asmx)
it works fine and I can successfully pull the data I need. But when I use the web control, its then that I cannot connect. Here's my code:

I have not got the IP signified above configured anywhere throughout my solution! So not sure where its getting that in the message.

Generally, “actively refused it" means that the host sent a reset instead of an acknowledge when you tried to connect. As per my understanding, the issue can be caused by the process that is hosting the service is not listening on that port, this may be
because it is not running at all or because it is listening on a different port. Please try to ping ‘netstat –anb’ (requires admin privileges) to verify that it is running and listening on the expected port.
Furthermore, please make sure the user has permissions to access the report server.

Client-Proxy-Server: Connection refused

I was meddling with a client-proxy-server toy program.
Pardon my poor code construction. I have never had any previous knowledge in this field.
I have created a client side program with my main that handles IO serially.
ProxY consists of 2 unscynchronized threads each interacts with client and server respectively.
Packet exchange within ProxY is relayed using a PacketBuffer object.
Server consist of a single threaded service. Below is the code for my main.

               System.out.println("Received from server :" + in.toString());No no no. 'in' is an input stream. in.toString() is just a string representation of that object. It certainly isn't anything received from the server. If you want to receive data from the server you must call one of the in.read() methods.

RDS Server : Connection refused error

Hi All,
    I am using flash builder 4.
   When i try to connect rds from DataServices - > Connect to LCDS it throws a connection refused error.
   I have uncommented the rds in web.xml and set the useappSecurity to false.
   Can any body please help me get rid of this issue.
   I am still using a trial version. Does this have any impact.
   Any help is highly appreciated !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jdeveloper 11g TP4: Connection refused error for Embedded Oc4j

Hi,
I am getting following error whenever trying to deploy any application in embedded oc4j or whenever try to connect with embedded server on Resource palette.
Error while getting remote MBeanServer for url: ormi://127.0.0.1:23891/default:
Error reading application-client descriptor: Error communicating with server: Connection refused: connect; nested exception is:
     javax.naming.CommunicationException: Connection refused: connect [Root exception is java.net.ConnectException
I am using Jdeveloper 11g TP 4 on windows XP.
I have checked other links too related to above error and have checked following:
Proper host name entry in host file
No spaces in Jdveleoper installed directory name
Proxy setting in Jdeveloper: excluded localhost and ip address
Will be very thankful if anyone can help me to resolve this issue.

Pacman: Connection refused under Gnome

Hi!
I have following problem: When i try to install packages or try so sync pacman (running Gnome) it says for EVERY server "connection refused".
(tried most of them and I'm not using the standard arch mirror)
When I go to console with Ctrl+Alt+F1 it works normally and I can upgrade/install packages.
I there some new Gnome-internal firewall/permission thingy?

My gnome is also up to date (just installed it)
iptables isn't running, the servers are pingable and I am using gnome terminal.
(it's also not working with xterm)
Apart from that, everything else seems to run normally.

Got Error when creating application server connection

Hi Guys...I am using SOA 10.1.3.1.0
I got the following error when creating application server connection
In Step 1:
I selected the Connection type as Standalone OC4J 10.1.3 (Why because I use this one)
In Step 2:
In this step I gave username and password (same username and password to connect to BPEL console)to authenticate connection
In step 3:
It is asking for Hostname, RMI port and URL path. My computer name is gopal-computer. I gave this hostname. RMI port number is 23791 by default. I kept this one as it is and URL path optional I think. I did not give any thing.
In step 4:
When I hit the test connection button its giving the following error

Trouble creating new application server connection

Hi. I am trying to create a new application server connection in jdev 10.1.3.1.0. I am taking all of the default settings in the wizard, and I am specifiying user name, password and checking deploy password. When I click test connection on the last screen of the wizard I get:

Error reading application-client descriptor: Error communicating with server: Connection refused: connect; nested exception is:

Hello Anil,
The error that you are getting indicates that the user that you are using to install the dialog server does not have enough rights to connect to the SAPMNT share of the central instance.
Please do the following:
1.) Make sure that you are using a domain admin ID or a local admin ID that is on both systems with the same password.
2.) Verify that SAPMNT is shared on the central instance by using the "net share" command from a Windows command prompt.
3.) Make sure that the domain admin or local admin group is added to the file level permissions and share level permissions of SAPMNT with full rights.
Also the general install guides will also have instructions on how to install a dialog instance as well.

I have completed the SOA configuration within Jdeveloper 11.1.1.0.0, and now I would want to deploy applications.For this I am trying to create a Applicaiton server connection from the resource palette.
The parameters are as follows : -
Connections Name : AppServerConnection1
Connections Type : Standalone OC4J 11g
Username : oc4jadmin
Host name : localhost
RMI Port : 23791
But the connections to the server fails with the following error...

127.0.0.1 localhost is the only entry within c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts,bt I figured out the prob was due to a wrng RMI port.
Hence right now I have configured it to 12401 and the connection works fine.
But within <HumanTakkName>.task-->Assigment and Routing Policy-->+-->Add Participant Type--Browse GroupIds-->Identity Lookup :-
I find that the Realm dropdown is empty.(even If the application server
connection is configured properly)
Coz of which I am not able to compile any bpel projects with human tasks in it..
Kindly advise if I have missed out any configurations...

I am experiencing some problem in getting the connection to work right after I install the JDeveloper 10.1.3, the following is the configuration I used, please help me on this:
Connection Type: Standard OC4J 10g 10.1.3
Host name: localhost , RMI Port: 23791
Firewall for port 23791 is turned off for both UDP and TCP.
When I test for connection, I got the following error:

Thanks a lot. After doing much research here and there, I managed to get it work. I think it would be better that I shared my experience with everyone and this is how I get my first JSP on JDeveloper (OC4J) to work:
- Start the OC4J server by running [Where you installed your JDeveloper]/jdev/bin/start_oc4j.bat
- Create an application server connection. [For username: admin, password: welcome, URL: ormi://localhost:23791/]
Just wonder if anyone can give me a clue on how do I change my port to 80 instead of the default 8988 and also how to change the context root?

Lion Server postfix mail not being delivered to mailboxes. "SMTP restriction `reject_invalid_helo_hostname' after `permit' is ignored" and "connect to private/policy: Connection refused" errors.

All, Im stumped. In fact I have been on the phone with Apple Support and this has been escalated to the top engineers, as I think its got them too..
Anyway, here is my problem..
I'm running an Mac Mini with OS X 10.7.4 Server. I have had mail running on it for 2 months or so, without any issues. The mail was actually migrated from 10.6 in March, and It actually went smoothly. I have 3 domains which all recieve mail and they all work (or did up until 2 weeks ago)..
So the story is this.. I can send mail from my domains, without issue. imap and dovecot must be working.. cause all the stored mail, can be read with the mail IMAP client.. I can even transfer mail messages from one mailbox to another with Mail client. Sending mail is a breeze, it still works and the recipients still recieve their mail. But I noticed I wasnt getting any mail at all from those mailboxes... no mail, no spam, nothing.. which is unusal. I fired up Server admin and checked out the SMTP log, and this is what it showed for every email recieved: (xxxxxx is just me hiding sensitive info)

Ok, now what is odd, is these rejected messages are not even appearing in the mail queue in Server Admin. I have no idea why there are not being delivered
Ive checked my postfix main.cf file and master.cf files they both look ok.. Ive even replaced them with the main.cf.defualt.10.7 and master.cf.default.10.7 files and to no avail... same problem..
So in summary
I can send mail out
IMAP is working on the client end (thus dovecot is) exsisting stored emails can be accessed, read, moved unread etc..
mail is coming into the sever, but its being rejected. there is NO rejection email sent back to the sender.
mail is recieved by postfix, but cyrus isnt doing anything with it.. I have no idea where it goes...
Could anyone shed light on this...

Ok 1st one. The warning restriction message relates to this line in main.cf:
smtpd_helo_restrictions = permit_sasl_authenticated permit_mynetworks check_helo_access hash:/etc/postfix/helo_access reject_non_fqdn_hostname reject_invalid_hostname permit reject_invalid_helo_hostname
The last reject occurs after the single word "permit" and is ignored.
However, that's not the problem.
I'm not exactly sure what's happening, but this might be a clue.
It would appear that either postfix is not being able to create the socket for private/policy or it's somehow created with the wrong permissions. You might need to ramp up the debug level to get a better idea.
You could check if it's being created by "netstat -a | grep private/policy" in terminal.
My guess is that it's not being created because there is no setup statement in your master.cf file, but I don't understand why postfix would be looking for it if it isn't set up. Private/policy I think relates to grey listing. Maybe gives you a hint.

DPM failing SQL backups due to error: "the SQL Server instance refused a connection to the protection agent. (ID 30172 Details: Internal error code: 0x80990F85)

I ran across this error starting on 6/4/2011 and have been unable to find the root of the problem. In our environment, we have a DPM 2010 server dedicated to backing up all our SQL envrionment (about 45 SQL Servers total). All of the SQL
environment is backing up fine except for a SQL Cluster Application. This particular SQL Instances is part of a 6 node failover cluster with 6 SQL Instances distributed amongst them. The other 5 SQL instances in the cluster are backing
up fine; only one instance is failing. The DPM Alerts section shows this error when attempting to do a SQL backup of one of the databases on this SQL instance:

I have checked the cluster node this particular SQL instance is running on using Perfmon and the machine is nowhere near capacity on CPU, memory, network, or Disk I/O.  I have failed this SQL Application to another node in the cluster and
receive the same error (this other node has another clustered SQL application on it that is actively running as well as backing up fine). The only thing that I am aware of that has changed is that we installed SP2 for SQL 2008 about 2 weeks prior
to when the failures started to occur. However, we updated all six clustered SQL Instances at the same time and only this one is having this issue so I don't believe that caused the problem. We are running SQL 2008 SP2 (version 10.0.4000.0)
on all clustered instances along with DPM 2010 (version 3.0.7696.0) on this particular DPM server that has the issue.
One last thing, I have also noticed errors in the event log pertaining to the same SQL backups that are failing (but the time stamps are not concurrent with each backup attempt):

Don't know if this helps or not, but I also noticed another peculiar issue that is derived from this problem. If I go to "Modify protection group", then expand the cluster, then expand all six nodes in the cluster, five of them show "All SQL Servers"
and allow me to expand the SQL Instance and show all databases; the one that is having a problem backing up, when I expand the node, doesn't even show that SQL exists on the node, when in fact, it does.
I would also like to add that the databases on this node that will not backup are running fine. They run hundreds of transactions daily so we know SQL itself is OK. Even though it is a busy SQL Server, there is plenty of available resources as
the SQL buffer and memory counters show the node is not under durress.
