BI statistic cube 0TCT_CA1

Hi,
I am using query based on the BI statistic cube 0TCT_CA1 to get the workbook execution times and it is working fine.
But I have two queries.
1) some workbook stored in favourites. Is it possible to show them in separate category or have them displayed in a separate workbook?
2) I do find the calendar year/month characteristic in this cube, but it seems this one is not populated in the cube. Insteadly in 0TCT_C01, the calendar year/month is populated correctly.

In addtion, I found the NO. of execution of BI workbooks are different in cube 0TCT_CA1 and 0TCT_C01 in some cases?

Infoset is based on Joins. Infocube, DSO and infoobject can be used to make infoset.
How to Create Infoset Query (SAP Query)
Steps on how to proceed to create a Query:
ADHOC QUERY
A query can be created to extract information from master records i.e Infotypes. For example, by creating a query , the data relating to an employee contained in various Infotypes can be extracted.
Proceedure :
Decide on the various Infotypes we want to make the query. Decide on the area where we want to query i.e Global area or Standard area. Standard area is client specific and globel area will include all clients.
Menu : HR ? PM ? Admn - Information System - Adhoc Query
Select area standard and select the user group already created
Creation of new query :
TC SQ03 - Select Environment ? Select Standard Area - Enter -- If new user group is to be created, enter name of the user group, click on create and enter necessary information and exit after saving
TC SQ02 - Enter name of the Infoset ? Create ? enter name of Infoset - Data source -- > Table join by basis table ? give name of table e.g pa0000 - Enter - Click on insert table if we want to include more tables ? give name of table one by one and after finishing, place cursor on the joining lines and right click to delete unwanted relationships - check - and go back - field groups - include all table fields - click on generate button - go out
TC SQ03 - Select user group - eg. Payroll
Infoset - Enter name of newly created Infoset
Assign users and Infosets - Assign infosets - put tick on payroll - save and go back
TC PAAH - Expand the nodes and put tick on relevant fields depending upon necessity
Save the query by giving the same name as infoset for easyness.
Limitations of Infoset query:
1)Atleast one common infoboject should be present in all the data targets.
2)In BI 7.0 you can include the infocubes also at infoset,but the limitation is max two number of Cubes.
3)According to some join condition only you have to buidl the infoset.

Problem with query based on the statistic cube

Hello,
I need to make a report based on the statistic cube in order to display:
User
Query
Last Date of execution of the Quey
I find the following result:
User 01 Query 01 Date1
User 01 Query 01 Date2
User 01 Query 01 Date3
How to display only the first line with the last date of execution of the query?

Hi,
This requirement is easily feasible in webi.In bex you need to create formula variable with replacement path on your date.
Then you can apply exception aggregation on this newly created as last value or first value and reference characteristic as the date.
Only constraint is that you need to put date in rows when you use formula variable otherwise it will not display the value.
So it doesnt serve your purpose.Even we had similar requirements in past where we were not allowed to do modeling level changes so to accomplish that we made webi report.

BI Statistics Highly Aggregated cube 0TCT_CA1 poor load performance

BI Statistics Highly Aggregated cube 0TCT_CA1 load ffrom DataSource 0TCT_DSA1 has very poor load performance.
In our DEV BW, it ran 8 min for 12,000 records. We have even worse performance in test box.
Initial loads then run very long since DataSource 0TCT_DSA1 does not allow us to load by calendar month.
If you have seen this issue, please let me know.

Compressing the cube would not help, since the cube is empty & we are trying to load 90 days of history.
The source table has an index on the timestamp field that the extractor uses in it's delta loads.
The loads run very slow, even with index dropped & no PSA.
We know that in production there will be appx rows 400,000 loaded 14,400 added with daily delta loads due to aggregation.
So we are seeing slow delta loads in our QA testing.
Not sure why the extractor can't just deliver the 14K aggregated rows vs. 400K.
Note: DS 0TCT_DSA1 has no selction criteria when doing initial full loads.

The doubt about statistic cubes

first I have to say I searshed forum first but I didn't find my answer,so I have to post a new thread here:
2 doubt about statistic cubes:
1. after I install the TCT cubes and Roles and initial load then delta load successfully, shoud I often run the delta IP? say everyday though a PC?
2.what's the relation between statistic cube and the "DB statistic" tab on the Manage of a infocube? what's the useage of "create statistic","check statistic",and "refesh statistic" buttons?

1. As there is some real time cube in the 7.0 content, you could start with a weekly load and see if it's enough....
2. The statistics on the manage InfoCube tab are db statistics. No link with the previous one. They are used to optimize execution plans at db level.

BW statistic cube not populating

Hi All,
Our BI system has BI statistics installed...there are about 8 standard cubes which tracks the statistics across the BI.Out of these cubes,there is one cube called DTP statistics(0TCT_C22) whose purpose is to capture the statistics of all cubes in BW like load start time,end time,cube name etc.
This DTP statistics cube some how has the requests coming every day....but no data available in all the requests(says 0 records)...hence no data available in the cube for reporting.
The rest of the 7 standard cubes has the data except this cube.
I even checked the PSA for the corresponding data source 0TCT_DS22 ....even this has requests...with status saying no records.
The process chain is scheduled every day with delta info packages to this cube.
I checked the RFC connection in SM59..it looks fine.
I checked the statistics settings on this cube...but not sure about settings.
I checked BI statistics settings...under info provider I can see the cube 0TCT_C22 .
The field statistics on/of = 'D' and OLAP = blank for this cube.
On the top besides replace values tab, there is settings which say 'X on' ....'2 ALL'

Query on Stat Cube

Hi,
I am trying to get query list based on last used date.
I ran query on stat cube 0BWTC_...
Also, i got list of queries from the view v_compdir_compic in bw backend.
But the query list i get from stat cube query is less than what i get from View table.
there are aprox 300 less queries.
can u please tell me why the list is different ?

We have all BW statistic cubes loaded on november 1st.
which are 0bwtc_c01,.......they are for aggregate, for OLAP, for OLAP navigation etc.
so how come the list of queries are different than V_COMPDIR_COMPIC ?
any clue ?

BI Statistical data not able to load delta data

Hi Experts,
I am working on BI7.0, we are trying to activate the BI Statistical cubes and load Delta data, so in the process , I did all the steps , activated and initialised the Data sources in BI
0TCT_DS03,0TCT_DS02 to the Cubes0TCT_C02 and 0TCT_C03, My aim is initialise today and load the delta loads from today onwards and I gave init selection on date, as start date today, and I switched on all BI stastical data but my delta records are not coming, I see in RSA7 in my BI system, I did not see my delta getting updated
Please advise how to get this delta records for these Data sources,

Hello Dheeraj ,
If delta is showing Zero records then there is no records changes or creation after the Init Run. So do some activities that will be captured in the Stat and then load the delta.

BW Statistics - loopback cube transport

BW expert I need some help on the transport of the BW statistic cube. We have this cube in production and now we need to add some time dimension.Following are the steps performed.
1) Modified time Dimension of cube 0BWTC_C02 to include 0calmonth, 0calquart1, etc
2) Added to original UR 0BWTC_C02
3) Created New InfoArea to segregate loop back cube
4) Created loop back cube ZBWTC_C02 as a copy of 0BWTC_C02
5) Generated export datasource on both ZBWTC_C02
6) Created Update rules for 0BWTC_C02 to ZBWTC_C02 on ZBWTC_C02.
7) Created Update rules for ZBWTC_C02 to 0BWTC_C02 on 0BWTC_C02
8) Created Infopackages on Infosource 80BWTC_C02
Load loopback ZBWTC_C02 from 0BWTC_C02
9) created Infopackages on Infosource 8ZBWTC_C02
Now this is sitting in the development I want to transport to QA . what are the necessary steps I need to do this transport.

Hi Ashok,
I assume you have assigned transport request to all your objects. If you have not done that then the first step is to assign a transport request to all your object by assigning a transportable package to it. If required you can create a new package for the new 'Z' objects using SE80 or you can also re-use the old ones.
Please capture request as mentioned below:
Step 1: -
1st request -> cube 0BWTC_C02, ZBWTC_C02 & info-area
once the cubes are transported you need to replicate the datamart data sources in the target system. select source systems in target system -> go to data-mart application component -> right click -> replicate data sources
I couldn't re-call exactly whether the data mart is generated as soon as you activate the cube or not. I am quite sure it gets generated for the ODS object as soon as you activate the ODS object hence you need not transport the data mart info-sources for the ODS object. Check whether you get a data-mart symbol as soon as the cube is transported and check whether the data source exist as well. If not then you need to replicate the data source first prior to your data-mart info-source.
Step 2
2nd request -> data mart info-source (8ZBWTC_C02, 80BWTC_C02)
Step 3
3rd request -> all update rules (dependant on request 2)
Step 4
4th request -> all info-packages (dependant on request 2)

Need help troubleshooting poor performance loading cubes

I need ideas on how to troubleshoot performance issues we are having when loading our infocube. There are eight infopackages running in parallel to update the cube. Each infopackage can execute three datapackages at a time. The load performance is erractic. For example, if an infopackage needs five datapackages to load the data, data package 1 is sometimes the last one to complete. Sometimes the slow performance is in the Update Rules processing and other times it is on the Insert into the fact table.
Sometimes there are no performance problems and the load completes in 20 mins. Other times, the loads complete in 1.5+ hours.
Does anyone know how to tell which server a data package was executed on? Can someone tell me any transactions to use to monitor the loads while they are running to help pinpoint what the bottleneck is?

Some sugegstions:
1. Collect BW statistics for all the cubes. Goto RSA1 and go to the cube and on tool bar - tools - BW statistics. Check thed boxes to collect both OLAP and WHM.
2. Activate all the technical content cubes and reports and relevant objects. You will find them if you search with 0BWTC* in the business content.
3. Start loading data to the Technical content cubes.
4. There are a few reports out of these statistical cubes and run them and you will get some ideas.
5. Try to schedule sequentially instead of parallel loads.

We are loading data from BCS system,but our BI Stastics cube 0TCT_C01,C02 etc...getting filled,it supposed to get data only from R3 system.Issue is these cube occupies lot of memory space can i compress 6 months before request of all these BI Stastics cube,what would be the effect?We do have process chain and all.....

Hi Rajesh,
Not only for statistic cube, compression is same for all cubes.
For example:
if you one record in one request say req1 as below
SALES_REP MATERIAL DATE          SALES
SREP1         MAT1         12.10.2009 20
and in more request say req2 we have below record:
SALES_REP MATERIAL DATE          SALES
SREP1         MAT1         12.10.2009 30
If you have not compressed requests then we can differentiate above two records by request id.
If you compress request then you can't differentiate two records as all the char values are same.

BW Upgrade : BI Statistic

Hi ,
We have just upgraded from BW3,.5 to BI7.3.
One of the difference which i am aware of if the BI Statistic.
In BW3.5 , Statistic was under 'InfoProvider-Technical Content-BW Statistics.'
In BI7.3 , The above had been moved to 'InfoProvider-Business Information Warehouse-BI Statistics'.
Additionally in BI7.3, there's lots of new cubes and multiprovider introduced under tech content --> 'InfoProvider-Technical Content-0TCT*'.
And there are new process chains for this which starts with prefix '0TCT_*' example 0TCT_MD_CACH_FULL_P01 which is running in the upgraded system now.
My question is,
1. We have existing process chains in BW 3.5 which updates cube 0BWTC_C02 and 0BWTC_C03 and query had been built on it. Upon upgrade, do we need to stop these process chains from running ?
2.Does the new BI7x Tech Content BI statistic takes over the previous BI statistic cubes and we now need to refer to the new Process chain and reports?

Hi,
Normally there are new statics features implemented in BI7 but it doesn't mean old stat things are deleted.They are still used they way they used before.
You can do BI admin cockpit activation.Refer to following thread

You can also do selective implementation in BI7 which is not present in BW3.5 through new BI Cont.

Unable to restrict the new cubes(transactional) in the query

hi bw pro's,
i have a bw statistic query(custom one) query is designed by statistic cube(0BWTC_C02). In the query 4 custom cubes are restriced. now the requirement is 2 more transactional cubes need to be added in the query.
now the problem is when i am trying to restrict the another two cubes, i am unable to find the 2cubes in the list of the cubes.
even i added the two cubes for bw statistics by choosing tools->bw statitstics for infoprovider.
still iam unable to see in the list. Can anybody suggest me. how to proceed.
