BI Transport Request Failure

Hi,
I have created a transport request to install business content- A SRM Report. The transport request failed. I am unable to understand whether the report has been installed properly or not. Can i re install the Query? Can i delete the transport request and create new one and try to assign the new transport request to the query while installing it newly? Please suggest me reagrding the same.

Hi There,
Just check the log of errorneus Request.
Try to find out which element is missing.
then
Just Go to Se16 Table Name RSZELTDIR
in that mention the missing Object Namein ID field, Execute, you will get the Object description which needs to be transported first, create a new request add that missing object and then transport that Object with Grouping Option necessary.
and then again transport your previous request.

1. In the source system tree in the Data Warehousing Workbench, choose Create in the context menu for Web Service.
2. In the Logical System Name field, enter a technical name for the source system.
3. Enter a description for the source system.
4. In the Type and Release field, enter the type of source from a semantic perspective
The datasource is present in Modified version and not ready to get activated no matter what...with other transport requests...

Transport request failure

My BEx request failed with errors while moving to Q.
I just want to collect those queries again and make sure all their elements are captured.
How do I do that?
Once I have moved the queries with new request to Q, Will I have to include the old request when i move the new one to P ??

U can just collect the query all over again in the RSA1 > Transport connection > Query Elements and Transport the request to the Q .
The other thing u can do is check the log of the failed Transport , check what is the error code ( if it is 8 )
Then copy the Query Element . It will be something like this
Error when activating element YUEXQB2XXZCQ3VWRGX8JMEFQ
Element 3YUEZ6KZZFQ0HI8WH2USYZNVA is missing in version M
If this is the case then u can goto SE16 and check in this table RSZELTDIR and search for what object is missing and u can collect that and send to Q.

Failure of the transport request containing queries

Hi *,
There was a transport request which after transport to Qual from Dev, failed with error code 8.
Going into the details, the errors were:
The request contained near about 100 queries in which some minor changes were done.
1. Element 476FLGE6HWFAKXETNDSFCL12X is missing in version M
2. Error when activating element
440YW0X722R9IRNUSMULSJCZH
I can't figure out exactly where the error is. What should be my approach ? Also, I came to know that in Qual, some changes were already done by this request.

Did you check that error in the table mentioned by our friend in the above post?
If you still didn't find anything, go to Tcode SE09. Check Released and Modifiable and click on display. It will display all the released and non-released requests on your id. Go to your request and check all the objects transported. Find out if you have missed anything. transport the object you want with a new request. Check whether all the queries are moved into QAS in your previous transport and if any thisng is missed transport the same. You also can retransport if you want from the scratch. It will replace all the exeisting queries in QAS.

We couldn't release any transport request!

Hi experts,
We could't release any transport request on DEV from today.
We could do it until yesterday.
We have never changed any settings.
Except release, we can use SAP system, and
we can import released transport request to QAS .
Also I could tp addtobuffer on DEV.

SE10 -> select transport request -> click [release] button
and, we can see the error message as below.

1. Change Environment variable & Restart SAP (note 351586)
2. replace tp & saptrans

Also I checked TP_DOMAIN.pfl, but it seems that there is no problem.
But I found doubtful point.
It is environmental variable, and now it is differnt from last friday.

The best method to transport the query is using the transport connection.,
While creating a query system asks you for a request assign the query to the request but do not transport this rather using se03 unlock the request so that u can make a new one using transport connection as u come to know if any of the componet in the query is still lyin in others request and there are hardly any chances of failure when u create a request using transport connection.
If you are not aware of the transport connection process then here it is go to transport connection in rsa1 select the object query there will be a serach button serach the query u reach the query with all other queries on the infoprovider select as many as u want and clik on transfer button all the selected queries move to right hand of screen here u can select the check boxes and clik on transport button u are being asked for a request assingn the request all the queries will move to this request

RFC error when trying to add transport request in queue in STMS..

Hi,
When I try to add a Transport request in queue in STMS transaction. I get RFC error saying some problem with tp program.
But when I go and check the RFC connection through STMS in system overview -> Communication -> RFC setting, it says RFC connection Ok.
What may be the issue ? I really need some light on this..

Hi Rajesh,
At times when u try to add the TR to a queue there would be 2 reasons.
1. If u have imported a TR into a system say QTY and it needs to be re imported, then we delete it fromthe STMS queue and add it again to re import it.
2. If u have some transport from external sap system to be imported here we place the data and Co files in the trans directory and then add the TR to this queue.
A TP failure happens if the data and co files does not exist in the TP directory or else, the TR target system is incorrectly mentioned.

Error in transporting request through charms

Dear Experts ,
recently refreshed my quality systems data with production data ..and finished successfully, but we did not take any screenshots before doing refresh in quality
my problem is we already configured charms in solution manager to transport requests to production system ...
now we are not able to transport request through charms .. because rfc connections are changed in quality ...
please let me how can i recollect quality rfc connections for charms ...
i dont have idea about charms configuration to reconfigure in quality.... please help in this

Hi,
You need to transport the ODS 1st and then the transformation.
The main reason for most of the transports to fail is:
1)Transporting each and every object in the same transport request.
Ideally,
          u2022The Infobjects should be transported first in a separate request.
          u2022Then the Data source and the Info providers (Cube, ODS, Data source and Multiproviders) together in a separate request.
           u2022At the end the transformations and the DTPu2019s in an another separate request.
If the above mention sequence is followed while transporting the transport failures can be avoided.
2)Also when a change is made to an ODS (I object added or deleted) it should again be transported along with the transformation but in separate request.
I.e. the ODS 1st and the transformation.

Unable to capture the Data Source into a Transport Request

Hi All,
We have a product hierarchy and we are using the data source :4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER for the hierarchy.
Now we need to transport this structure to the quality environment but we were not able to capture the datasource:4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER into a transport request.
When ever we activate the data source:4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER it is asking for the Package and the Transport Request Number.If we give these details and save it, data source is not getting captured in the request, only the "bject Directory Entry" is getting captured.
Can someone please guide me on how to capture the datasource under "Data Sources in BW" in a transport request.

Hi Sachin,
Hierarachy datasource is not captured as Attributes and Text Datasource. So what ever you have done is correct.
What ever is captured in Object Directory Entry is correct. So go ahead with your transports, once transport is done check the Hierarchy Infopackage with Available OLTP hierarchies and load the data.
Most important thing first see that the all Master & Transactional Datasources are transported in R/3 Dev to QA to PRD
In BW, datasources are not transported, only their replica is transported.
Transportation of Datasource is done in R/3. Only their replica is transported in BW.
So wht ever you have done till now is correct. So go ahead.
While attaching Hierarchy Datasource it is captured only in "Object Directory Entry"

while assigning a Transfromation to a Treq i am getting an error saying
Object '7KU37C7IG3T7AQ5NHSLEZVC91' (ROUT) of type 'Routine' is not available in version 'A'
Message no. RSO252
Diagnosis
You wanted to generate an object with the name '7KU37C7IG3T7AQ5NHSLEZVC91' (in transport request ROUT) of type 'Routine' (TLOGO). This is, however, not available in the BW Repository database. It does not exist in the requested version A. If the version is 'D' then it is possible that an error arose during the delivery or installation. If the version is 'A' then the Object was either not created or not activated.
System Response
The object was not taken into account in the next stage of processing.
Kindly advice how to rectify this error

You see the which infoobejct contains that routine and first collect that infoobejct and transport it then transport Transfromation. I hope you are missing some Routines while collecting the Transformations into request.

Error while Transporting Request

Hi All,
we have ECC 6.0 on Unix environment.
we had copied a production client with group selection, as we wanted all the three system PRD,DEV,QLT in sync.
the export was succesfully done.i copied Cofiles & Datafiles which are generated in DEV & Quality server,then i add request no in transport queue. the time when i copied transport request was not releasing from development.we checked the destination it was full so we removed the old request. then req is releasing.
after that i deleted the Cofile & datafile from OS level of DEV & QLT & trying to delete the reques from request queue. it is deleted but when im refreshing the queue its coming back in the queue.
while transporting other request its giving me error.
please help out me.

Error while importing a transport request

I installed two SAP ECC6 EHP6 IDES sytems and created a transport route between them.
When I try to import a Transport request I get the following error:
HALT: inconsistent preview tables E071K_STR (size=344) and E071KS_PREVIEW (size=128)
Please help me find a solution to this problem.

There are multiple steps you need to do, I am not sure if the following note is applicable to your version of SAP.
1730009 - Import queue does not work
Downloading R3trans and tp is similar to downloading kernel.
Download the versions relevant to your SAP Kernel 7.20, the latest patch should be available at http://service.sap.com/swdc
In the same area where you get SAP Kernels, you should be able to get files such as:
R3trans_xxx-xxxxxx.SAR
tp_xxx-xxxx.SAR
Download these files, uncar them to your kernel directory typically /sapmnt/<SID>/exe

Error while releasing Transport request number

Hi Friends,
Whenever i release the Transport request from SE01 i am getting the following error. Please view the attached image . Could you please explain about that error ? and how can i prevent it in future ?

At starting it shows warning like " Your object contains error continue or cancel " but if i proceed with continue after completion of the releasing process it shows (0) successfully completed but not with an error message. As Krishna Chaitanya said i might have used any dependent object. by reading all of your answer i could understand that this is not sever problem. But i would like to understand this process very clearly . All i want to know is
how to release the request without any inconsistencies?
and which is the best way, ?
is there any requisition before i initiate releasing ?

This is more related to the BASIS side,
still have found one solution in one of the thread. Still contact you BASIS administrator for it.
Solution.
Is the error pointing at TP or R3trans?
In this phase, we get error coz of r3trans.
Please try following the note 206168. which tells you to change the r3trans.
If you have changed the r3trans earlier, then try using the same r3trans as provided in the kernel CD.
