Hello All,

amit shetye.
Dear,
Check Before upgradation
For upgrade a BW consultant first needs to find out what are the new features , bugs that are coming in with the upgrade. You can find this in the release notes and related OSS notes.
Next the BW consultant needs to identify and create test scripts to test data loads, custom functionality, reports, security and any other custom process that is currently in place.
Before the upgrade the BW consultant needs to execute all the test scripts and record the before images.
Post upgrade the consultant needs to re execute the same scripts and make sure things are working as they are suppossed to.
If not then the BW consultant needs to work with BASIS, Security or SAP teams to resolve those issues.
Wats will happen after migration
SAP with little of enhancements go with 3.x ,if NOT go with 7.0
rationale - with 7.0 dataflow all the update rules, transfer rules will get deleted automatically and so you have to do all those ABAP coding delivered by SAP on your own now manually in the new world called Transformations .
DS should be Migrated and total infrastructure will changes.
yes you can copy the existing IP from 3.5 to 7.0, but only change is you have to create Transformations.
If it is R/3 then no need to create DS seperately, you can Migrate them.
Emulating Data source
You can try the
Emulated DataSource_--> means ---upgraded 3.x datasource(you will see square symbol on the emulated datasource) which could also use BI 7.0 capabilities along with 3.x loading methodlogy.(both paths are available).
But once you migrate an emulated DataSource it completely becomes BI 7.0 datasource(using transformation and DTP) and you no longer can use the 3.x way of loading (using transfer rule ,update rule etc).
Check properly the new way of loading before migration of datasources to bi 7.
You may wish to go through the links below for detailed lucid explainations.

Ugrade from Photoshop Album 3.2
Hello, I still use Adobe Photoshop Album 3.2 Starter Edition and think of upgrading to Photoshop Elements. If I do so, is the database of Photoshop Album (Tags, Albums,...) still available and usable in Elements? Am I loosing information available in Photoshop Album? Is Elements offering all features of Photoshop Album?
THX for Your answersYou can upgrade from Photoshop album 3.2 to Elements 11 successfully. No information gets lost in conversion process.

Missing Event Viewer VM Manager Log after ugrade from SCVMM 2012 SP1 to R2
We recently upgraded from SCVMM 2012 SP1 to SCVMM 2012 R2. After the upgrade, I noticed that the VM Manager log, in the Event Viewer, is missing. I've tried to peruse all of the logs to see if it has been moved/renamed, with no luck. I highly doubt an important
log would be removed without a replacement being available, so I'm curious if it was something that had to be enabled (isn't turned on by default).
I had scripts which relied on the log for VM status changes, Event ID 821 (shut down/running/etc), to keep a last-used database for all of the VMs on our cloud.
Has anyone run in to this problem, or have any idea how I can get get the information that was available in the VM Manager log?
Thank you.I have a similar problem when migrating VMs from Windows 2008 R2 (Non Clustered) Hyper-V to Windows 2012 Hyper Cluster. I had previously migrated about 100 VMs like this with no problem. It appears since upgrading from VMM SP1 Rollup 4 to Rollup 5 this problem
is happening. All Agents are up to date.
I can migrate VMs in the cluster no problem.
I removed the Windows 2008 R2 Hyper-V host and added it back which allowed the job to at least start but when it gets to the final steps of importing the VM it fails with the same error and references the VMM server.
Others suggest this is a VMM Certificate problem and you can remove the Cluster node and add it back again but I can't do that in a production Cluster with hundreds of VMs. That is not an acceptable solution.
How can we fix this? -
Can i ugrade from os x 10.6.8
Can I upgrade from os x 10.6.8
Upgrading to Yosemite
You can upgrade to Yosemite from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Yosemite can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.
Upgrading to Yosemite
To upgrade to Yosemite you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Yosemite from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Yosemite is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mavericks/Yosemite- System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Yosemite
1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.
Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Yosemite, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
Lion System Requirements
1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
or Xeon processor
2. 2GB of memory
3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
4. 7GB of available space
5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply. -
I have an iPad-3, 16GB with wifi. Will I be able to upgrade from iOS5.1.1 to iOS 6 Can I change from wifi to subscription?
Thanks a bunch
Ron685Can I change from wifi to subscription?
What do you mean by subscription? If you mean 3/4G with GPS, then no. The iPad hardware can't be upgraded.
iOS 6 will not be available until Oct-Nov 2012.
Cheers, Tom -
Can I boot the 380e bios ugrade from the cd drive rather than the floppy disk?
Can I boot the 380e bios upgrade from the cd drive rather than the floppy disk? I don't have any floppies around and I don't want to order them online just for this one task. The bios disk images are here. http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=DSHY-46AKPY
I'm sorry that I can't answer your CD vs diskette question, but you mention updating your 380E BIOS and the link you've included is for the 390E.
Here's the 380E BIOS link: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS001672
What version are you currently at?

When ugrading from LR3 to LR5 via the cloud, must I install LR4 in the process?
When opening the Adobe Application Manager, Lightroom 4 is available, not 5. Do I have to transition through 4?
I am not a subscriber to the cloud but each and every Lightroom update is the full software package, there are no incremental patches. As far as I am aware when you are a new subscriber you are entitled to the LR 5 version and you do not update any earlier package. If you have a trial or a perpetual licensed version of LR 5 already installed on your computer then you will need to uninstall this before the Cloud Application Manager will allow the Cloud LR version for install. Uninstalling an existing versions will not remove your personal files or settings.

Are there problems ugrading from os x 10.6.8 to os x mavericks?
I downloaded & installed the snow leapord migration assistant.
I am using a 2TB external usb disk as my mac boot disk.I am using a 2TB external usb disk as my mac boot disk.
I don't know how that affects the normal upgrade and migration.
However, in general, the thing many people seem to forget is that 10.6 was the last Mac OS version to allow older PowerPC programs (like Office 2004 or older versions of Adobe Creative Suite) to run in emulation mode. Once you get to 10.7, that support goes away and the older programs will not run at all.
If you have "mission-critical" programs that you need for school or creating income, upgrade them before leaving OS10.6. -

I have issue with the agent profiles (BTW I am not doing upgrade from AM 7.0 to OpenSSO but its a fresh OpenSSO install)
In AM 7.0 Agent profile is like this (below is the exact export from the AM 7.0)
dn: uid=Test-Agent,ou=agents,o=am
sunIdentityServerDeviceStatus: Active
uid: Test-Agent
objectClass: sunIdentityServerDevice
objectClass: iplanet-am-user-service
objectClass: top
objectClass: iPlanetPreferences
sunIdentityServerDeviceType: Agent
cn: default
sunIdentityServerDeviceVersion: 2.2
userPassword: {SSHA}1w9aOfz1D4bypX292YT2oObVee34BWkgSB3IXQ==
Below is exact import into the OpenSSO (I created this LDIF using my script)
dn: ou=Test-Agent,ou=default,ou=OrganizationConfig,ou=1.0,ou=AgentService,ou=services,o=am
ou: Test-Agent
sunsmspriority: 0
sunserviceID: 2.2_Agent
sunKeyValue: sunIdentityServerDeviceStatus=Active
sunKeyValue: sunIdentityServerDeviceKeyValue=
sunKeyValue: description=
objectClass: sunServiceComponent
objectClass: top
sunKeyValue: userpassword={SSHA}1w9aOfz1D4bypX292YT2oObVee34BWkgSB3IXQ==
Now you can see the issue in AM 7.0 the password is stored as "userPassword: {SSHA}1w9aOfz1D4bypX292YT2oObVee34BWkgSB3IXQ==" where by directory server userpassword is SSHA encrypted VS in opensso it is "sunKeyValue: userpassword={SSHA}1w9aOfz1D4bypX292YT2oObVee34BWkgSB3IXQ==" which OpenSSO doesnt like .. :)
If i create a Agent from the opensso Console then Agent create a password using AES encryption and and that works fine even when I import my above LDIF and update the password using the OpenSSO console it also works. The issues I have this I dont know all of the Agent clear text password and I only have the LDIF to work with. Any thought !! Please let me know I am stating to believe that the upgrade from AM 7.0 to OepnSSO will have the same issue which i have not tried yet.
Anythoughts or ideas are very welcome !
-HarisConfiguring the agent like this, ie importing a ldif file is not supported and can lead to unexpected results as you have observed. Just do it in a supported way and change the password for the agent if you don't know it. As the administrator you are supposed to know the password or have the power to reset it.

Mail didn't migrate when I went from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion
Just got a new MacBook Pro with Retina. It came with Lion on it, I upgraded it to Mountain Lion. Then, I used Migration Assistant to bring over everything from my Time Machine. My old MacBook Pro was running Snow Leopard.
The big glitch seems to be Mail. The mailboxes and folders are in the user/Library folder, but when I open up Mail, it shows I have about 400 emails instead of 50,000+. And, none of the Rules, Smart Mailboxes, etc. are there.
Would migrating to Lion first and then upgrading solve this? Is this a known problem with ugrading from SL to ML? Should I just move the Mail folders in place and try again (I've done this before and am comfortable with the command line)?
I'm sure there are clever ways of rebuilding it all by hand, but I'd love to avoid that.
Thanks!I ended up calling Apple Tech Support for help on this. Got directed to a Mail expert. He had me move the following files from my home Library file folder.
~\Library\Mail\V2\MailData\Envelope Index
~\Library\Mail\V2\MailData\Envelope Index-shm
~\Library\Mail\V2\MailData\Envelope Index-wal
Then he asked me to quit Mail and then restart it again. When it restarted, it imported the mail (which the original migration had not done before). This solved about 90% of the problems. In my old mail folder in Snow Leopard, I had a Mail folder called Archive. Since this is now a reserved folder name, the import to Mountain Lion choked and it created five duplicates of this folder and its subfolders. I just deleted these and then went to Time Machine and brought in a single copy. The Rules and Smart Folders I had were gone and couldn't be resurrected, so had to spend some time and rebuild them by hand. But, now it all seems to be working well. -

I have Adobe Photoshop CC installed and been having probelms accessing the standard Light filters and 3 D grahipic options. After several communications with their support they tell me my graphics card is out dated.
A scan of my system says I am up to date. using Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
Buts that does not apear to be robust.
Now I feel as though the laptop I thought I needed to run Photoshop over my last HP Desktop PC is just as outdated.
Is there a more robust graphics card to download. I tried Intel but when I downloaded something that matched my system it told me it could not install because the PC OEM (HP) will not accept it.
How or where do I get a graphic driver that can handle this.Okay after deciphering the small Kanji characters hidden behind my battery I thinnk I have correct numbers.
HP Envy Touchsmart 17
Prod: EBA11UA#ABA
Mod: m7-ii120dx
Ser: 5CG4110P52
I noticed you mentioned my options may be limited - my problem is whwn I tried to ugrade from the HD4600 to a HD5000 but my machine said it is not allowed by my OEM
So I am coming to you for options since I have no idea what level or style of Video grahics card I might be able to use, z -
Upgrade from 2007 to 8.81 weight calculation error
Dear experts,
I have recently ugraded from 2007 to 8.81 PL08HF1.
Have encountered this issue:
In SO, under the volume and weight calculation, the total weight is calculated wrongly.
which means:
Qty 3 X net weight (2Kg) = 10kg
has anyone encountered this error?
thanks in advance!
JoanneDear Rahul,
yes, the change log reflects changes made to the SO.
Another thing i found out...
I am using factor 1, 2, 3 to determine the quantity.
And i realised any changes made to the factors 'sometimes' updates the 'weight' field in SBO.
My another question is the weight field, does it reflect the total weight? or per unit weight?
How can i make changes to factor 1, 2 or 3 so that SBO reflects the correct weight after the changes?
Thanks rahul in advance...
:P
