BI Widgets - The host cannot be connected
Hello
I get an error when I try to connect to SAP BusinessObjects XI 3.1 SP2 from BOBJ BI Widgets SP2.
I get this error with SAP BusinessObjects XI 3.1 SP2. When I had SAP BusinessObjects XI 3.1 SP1 BI Widgets works fine. But now I get this error:
Login exception (Error: FWM 01003). Server <servername> not found or server may be down (FWM 01003)#
In Host and Login Preferences I put Host Name and Host URL next this screen show me "Connecting to URL successfully". Next I put User Name, Password and Authentication and click in OK. The error appear.
I applied this SAP notes, but BI Widgets does not work.

Hi Ranjit
Please check if cross domain is put in BusinessObjects Server in this directory: C:Program Files (x86)Business ObjectsTomcat55webappsROOT
cross domain is a file "crossdomain.xml" it should be like that
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
<cross-domain-policy>
<allow-http-request-headers-from domain="" headers="" secure="false" />
<allow-access-from domain="*" secure="false" />
</cross-domain-policy>
If you don't get this file. Open a notepad, copy the last code and save it with this name "crossdomain.xml". I think it should work.

Since updating to Yosemite my airport express (used for airplay) connects for a short period then drops, the error message "An error occurred while connecting to the AirPlay device “Kitchen”. The host cannot be reached." Has anyone else had this problem
I'm having the same issue. Haven't found a workaround. I use a main TimeCapsule as my main router, also have another TimeCapsule that extends the network, three Airport Express and an AppleTV. For whatever reason, the two AirportExpress that I have in a different rooms cut out. I only have 600 square foot apartment so it's not that big, the signal should be strong enough. Airport Utilitiy reports the signal strength to be strong on all devices.
I'm using all new equipment, a new MacPro for my music, new TimeCapsules, new Airport Express, new everything with the latest Yosemite software. Very frustrating. My Airplay used to work very nice and now I'm constantly having issues and restarting my network. I did a fresh install of all my software on my MacPro when I got it in January so it's not as if it's an old machine with old software, everything is new within the last 6 months.
The only workaround I found so far is to unplug the devices and to plug them back in. Since upgrading to Yosemite, I'm restarting my Airport Express at least twice a week. Very annoying. -
How can I get my iPod to update when it says the server cannot be connected?
Whenever I try to update my iPod it says, "The iPod software update server could not be contacted. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later." It does this every time. How can I get it to update? Any help is much appreciated, thanks!
Update Server
Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem -
please help me to solve this

How To Completely Uninstall and Remove All Traces of iTunes

Cheers, Tom -
so yeah i bought "Glam Nation Live" (by Adam Lambert) and it came with videos. after i bought the album, i synced to my itunes and now the videos wont play. there will be some weird error code about the URL and then it will close. they were able to play before. how can i fix this?
You should really read the manual.
"How do you restore from backup? "
Restore. When given the choice, choose to use backup.
"And how can I check to see if the pics and videos are on my computer somewhere first??"
They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer. -
GRE tunnel could not be used by the hosts connected to the router
Hi,
I am using cisco ASR1013 (RP2) and a Mikrotik Router for setting up a GRE tunnel for LAN to LAN routing over a broadband link. The tunnel works fine (able to ping tunnel end points and also all the connected interfaces on both the Mikrotik and Cisco ASR) but the hosts that are connected directly to the Cisco router interface over a layer 2 cisco switch are unable to connect (ping) the hosts or connected interfaces on the mikrotik side. I am sure its not a mikrotik issue as i dont see any traffic coming through the tunnel using the mikrotik torch utility. There are no ACL's or firewall rules on any of the devices......
Source and destination of the tunnel are public IP's and are pingable via internet (The tunnel is connected and endpoints are pingable)

I have a network of 9 macs that connect via ethernet and a router. All of a sudden one of the macs cannot be connected to. It can connect to all others and the internet, but no one can connect to that one. I have appletalk active and file sharing on, but everytime someone tries to connect to it, it is not on the network. Additionally, the personal file sharing keeps turning off even though I have it locked. Any ideas?
Hi orangekay
not sure where you got the idea that I have
bizarre encrypted filesystem plugins and scripts you have manipulating them all the time
because I do not have any such running, just normal Applescripts that do tasks that could be done by hand. -
Which version of iDS ?
Could you show us the URL ?
I think 4.x Admin Server has the IP address of the hosts that can connect in its configuration. If both servers have 2 different configuration Directory and 2 admin servers, that is eventually where to look for a solution.

DMVPN - Host have no connectivity
I have an unusual situation. We have two Cisco 2621XM's configured with DMVPN in a hub and spoke fashion. We are using DMVPN using DSL as a backup for our T-1 to the spoke site. The tunnel comes uo with no problem. From the router of the spoke I can ping anything across the tunnel on the remote network. From the switch or host connected to the switch at the spoke router I can't ping across the tunnel. A "show route" on the hub list the networks "vlans" configured on the spoke router, the spoke router ans switch is setup in a router-on-a-stick fashion.
Thanks in Advance!Hi,
after some changes, the WLC can now reach the public DNS server.
However, the hosts cannot do anything. (no nslookup, no ping)
I removed web-authentication from the WLAN config to simplify troubleshooting, but even so, the result is the same.
Host receives IP address and DNS server.
When I do a packet tracer on the outside context, from the guest (wifi) segment to the DNS, I see the packet is dropped.

marcoHi. Read the weblogi startServer script, and the startWLS script it calls. These
scripts build up a string which is added to the java commandline that starts
the server, with an argument -classpath ....... Unless the driver shows up there,
the server doesn't see it.
However, we already include a version of the oracle thin driver. It may not be
the best (it's old), so you will want to make sure you version gets in to the classpath
argument ahead of our stuff, but the old driver would have been invoked...
Therefore, I suspect your URL is not exactly correct. Please verify that this exact URL
works in a simple standalone JDBC program using the driver you want, without any
weblogic code in the picture.
thanks,

I want to enable Lync Server Centralized Logging Services, which scenario should I run? The AlwaysOn Scenario?
Thank you.Michael,
Those are not test calls but real calls made by our costumers.
The costumers dial the toll free number and the Internet service provider or SIP provider sends the call to our Lync pools. The call is cancelled a few seconds after it is initiated, sometimes 6 seconds, sometimes 9 seconds, sometimes 20 seconds or longer.
We called the costumers and made sure that it was not the costumer who hung up the call.
And we are also sure that an IP address outside our Lync pool sends the CANCEL request. Our system has been working well for a long time but the resent few months this kind of error happens almost everyday in the morning. When the error happens, some
of the calls cannot get connected and some of the calls are good, but the load of the Lync pool, UCMA app pool is not heavy. A few minutes later, everything becomes normal, no error happens.
How should we do the trouble shooting? Where should we focus on? The SIP provider or Lync pool?
Thank you for your help.

I upgraded from Dreamweaver CS4 to CS6. but now when I want to upload I get "an TFP error occured - cannot make connection to host". I spent hours with the host technician and we cant find the error. I reinstalled DW4 and it connects to host perfectly. Anyone else seen this problem?
Mac OS 10.8.5
None of these issues are causing the error in DW CS6. We have double checked all of them and we have everything exactly right. Also I have exactly the same SiteSetup in DW CS4 and that works perfectly well. Could there must be factor in 6 that didn't exist in 4? Something that isnt in the SiteSetup but in some hidden dialog box ?
I can also upload to my host using Fetch, a third party FTP. And as I said DW CS4 works fine. So the problem is not with my host, its with DW CS6 in particular.Thank you Jon, that fixed it perfectly. You have saved me from going crazy. The only difference I see now is in "Server Name" it changed what I had entered (my ftp address) to "Remote Server"; which seems odd -- but it works! Although I know there maybe also some other dialog box I have never seen
Of course I saw that menu item "Import" and but I thought thats obviously not for me: "Why would I want to import an entire website?". I did not however see "Export the selected site" for thats only a tiny icon in the footer. However I would have thought the same: "Why would I want to export my entire website?".
An observation: I've seen this problem in a lot of Adobe software, the menu-names of items are obscure, non descriptive. What would be better would be for the menu names or popups to say "Export Site Setup settings" and "Import Site Setup settings" -
An FTP Error occured - cannot make connection to host. No response from the server
"An FTP Error occured - cannot make connection to host. No response from the server".
As of today this is all i get when trying to connect to every single ftp account i have. It's not the server cause it's every one and there is several different. Tried passive and non-passive same result. I've connected fine with other FTP clients. So this must be another dreamweaver bug. Anyone know what to do?Very hard to diagnose these problems, particularly as you can connect using a 3rd party program.
See if the 'timeout' issue could be at play here:

Hello,
I have a sharepoint 2010 sp1 CU Dec 2011 server with a SQL Server 2012 SP1 CU4 reporting services instance. I am able to open Power View and use it normally when bypassing the ISA Reverse Proxy server. However when going thru ISA I receive the
following Error.
Power View Cannot connect to the server due to a security issue. The server may not have been able to match the host for Silverlight. This error appears after I click yes on an Internet Explorer Display Mixed Mode prompt.
I've seen a couple references to this issue but not much. This one mentions a clientaccesspolicy.xml file but I haven't had any luck with that. http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/716433/cannot-connect-to-the-server-due-to-a-security-issue-the-server-may-not-have-been-able-to-match-the-host-for-silverlight
Any Ideas? Thanks.
RyanHi Ryan,
Based on my research, the issue should occur due to a by design behavior in Threat Management Gateway (TMG). To work around this issue, you can use SSL between the TMG and the SharePoint Web Server.
Hope this helps.
