Dear Experts,
Please advice me in BI, we have work flow facility for BI reports.
If yes, how to do it?
If no, how v can it ?

Workflow automates the steps and activities in a business process according to predefined procedures and rules.
Workflow presents information and documents to the appropriate knowledge worker or agent (another entity such as a program) to make a decision or perform an activity.
Workflow tracks each and every step in the process flow and maintains an ongoing status.
Workflow also collects and reports all of the metrics associated with the execution and completion of the process.

Adobe raw CS5 - work flow options

Hi - Just wondering if anybody has experience in resampling from Raw as opposed to Photoshop.
If I have a raw image and choose the workflow options to resample, is this better than resampling through Photoshop. Also is it as good/better than using genuine fractals or blowup.

After extensive, exhaustive and exhausting testing, my experience allows me to say with absolute confidence that the Bicubic Smoother math in recent versions of Photoshop beats the pants off of Genuine Fractals. I see no reason to use any additional software beside Photoshop for upsmapling.

Resampling in ACR may have a slight edge over Photoshop in that it is able to differentiate in the frequency of detail in an image and apply Bicubic Smoother to some parts of the image and Bicubic Sharper to others, as appropriate.
In sum, it is at least equal to—and sometimes better—than Photoshop upsampling.
Most of my testing has been with Photoshop versions up to and through CS4, and always with the latest versions of Genuine Fractals. I have no reason to believe that resampling has deteriorated in CS5.

Cover flow option not working on my computer.

i downloaded & installed the new itunes 7.1 but it's telling me that it can not use the cover flow option with my computer. i click that option and instead of the album artwork i get "itunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer." is there anyway to make it so that it will work? i have windows xp.

Mail sending option at the work flow lavel

Hi all,
i m working for a Web Dynpro java where for my project "Classified" after creation of any classified item work flow is there name as approver and publisher.
I m in search of the functionality where mail need to be trigger for the corresponding creator for the created classified item if once approve or reject by the Approver or Publisher.
For this from code lavel i need to do something or from Configuration side i need to work on that.

If mail Triggering is what all you want,
then please make use of mail functionality API of java. For that you need three jar files:smtp,mail,activation.

File not found error at Attachement link in GroupVote of Human Work Flow

Hi Gurus
In Human Work flow,
I have created the GroupVote and assigned to two person.
I checked "share attachments and comments" to share their issues.
One signed on to WorkApplist and review the forms and attached the file,
The file link was created but it could not be downloaded.
it could not delete.
I tested several times it occured same results.
It did not be happend when this option "share attachments and comments" was not checked.

Screen output without connection to user - Work flow

Hi,
i have created a workflow, it has a task which refers to a method which call a BDC in N mode, but workitem is not generating, in event trace showing RFC status 'Screen output without connection to user'.
Same time i observed in ST22 for any dumps, as it is giving this error 'DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND'.
Please suggest how to solve. Thanks in advance.

As i am on leave from last 2 days, sorry for delay in response.
As the work flow tasks and what ever the methods i developed are working as per requried.
But after each step by step analysis i founn every usefull information regarding the background type activity options.
Solution :
In background type activity step, in details tab we have option of ->Advance With Immediate Dialog flag is set to X, due to this system checking for user interaction.
Because of this its creating problem. After unmarking the falg i am able to execute the task in background successfully
with out any problem.

CUP MSMP Work flow in GRC 10.0

Hi GRC Experts,
I am working on a MSMP Work flow requirement in GRC 10.0 and would appreciate any guidance/inputs on this.
As per my requirement we would have to design a CUP Work flow in GRC 10.0 to decommission a user in 24-hours if the user has not activated his/her new user account. After a user account is provisioned, system should wait for 24 hours to have user login/activate the account, otherwise decommission/disable the account. I have never heard of this functionality in GRC 5.3, so was not sure if this is something that can be designed and configured in 10.0. Would really appreciate if you can please guide us with requirement and advise if this can be implemented in GRC 10.0.
I know outside GRC , this requirement can be designed using a background job, which can monitor the provisioning and activation for a user account , however i am wondering if this can be designed and implemented with MSMP Work flow in GRC 10.0

You doesn't require customized ABAP programs to achive this and neither GRC 10 and can be achived with the below login parameters:
login/password_max_idle_initial
login/password_max_new_valid
login/password_max_reset_valid
The login/password_max_idle_initial will make the initial password invalid if the user is not logged in, which means you are making the system secure if the user doesn't login to the system in specific number of days.
However, this will not decomission the user IDs. You may need to look at custom options to identify the users from USR02 table and lock them using standard BAPIs.
I am not sure on why Multi Stage/Multi Path is required for this??

CONFIGURATION WORK FLOW IN ESS (LEAVE)

Hi gurus.
He wanted to know what form it's to indicate that a leave's class should not generate Work Flow when it's post from ESS.
In T554S_WEB it is possible to leave in white the fields of WF's codes. The problem is that there is a field in the above mentioned table, APPROVAL_PROCESS, that if has the value "W" (Workflow) , though the fields have been left in whiteof workflow, tries to generate a WF with code WS00000000.
The case is that the field APPROVAL_PROCESS is not located by me from what point of the parametrización it is possible to modify.

If you need this option then you need to change the WF Task.
General Forwarding Not Allowed
This indicator enables you to determine that work items for this task can only be forwarded to users who are agents for the task.
If this indicator is not set, a work item for this task can be forwarded to all users.
The best way to take care of User
Forwaring authorization is the Task Classification (PFTC -> Additional
Data -> Classification). Classify tasks with General Forwarding Not
allowed, will give you the oppotunity to let the user allow to forward
items JUST to the Possible Agents Assigned to the task
(Additional Data -> Agent Assingment -> Maintain)...
Clear that everything depends on How you have developed your workflows
definitions. In that cases the best think to do is
create Different Tasks definition (TSxxxxxx) and let they start
depending on Company Code (That can be driven via Conditions steps in
the workjflow definition, for example). This will allow you to define
Just the responsible Agents per each task, depending on the Companny
Code. This definitively Resolve the Forwarding frelated Question.

Work flow in iLife

Hey kids,
I have A BUNCH of video that I need to boil down in to multiple DVDs with multiple chapters per DVD (about 8 hours). Is there a description of a good work flow from iMove to iDVD described anywhere,....Do i need to export each "chapter" as a movie and then import them into iDVD in order to maintain a chapter structure?. If so what is the best way to do this,...HELP , PLEASE!!

That's a lot of video! In general, the workflow I prefer is doing editing in iMovie, quitting, then open iDVD and import the video. iDVD has 3 options for converting video into the correct format for DVDs, and you set this in Preferences (up to 60 min=Best Performance; up to 120 min=Best Quality; the Pro setting takes longer, but does a better job with the more highly compressed 2hr video). With so much video, it might make sense to divide your footage by 110 minute blocks (there needs to be room for a few other files so you can't fit a full 120 minutes of video on a single layer DVD).
That's a high level overview; Klaus' links will give you more details; the "Missing Manual" and other books will provide lots more detail; and the forum here is good for questions.

Plz give me work flow of film editing in Final Cut Pro..

Hello Everyone...
I am basically a Avid Film Editor. Past 2 years I am using Final Cut Pro. Recently I finished Final Cut Pro Level 1 & T3. Right now I am working as a App. Support Engineer specially for Final Cut Pro .
I want know the work flow of film editing in Final Cut Pro. I am very interested to do film editing in FCP but the workflow from Avid to FCP its totally different.
I tried few options like using FCP & Cinema Tools..
1. Captured 25fps clips and cofirmed to 24fps in cinematools.
2. In FCP the Timeline frame rate is 24fps
But I am not able to understand..
1. What is Database?
2. Cant we capture 24fps in FCP?
3. How to Synchronize captured clips with Cinema Tools database?
4. How to link the captured clips in to Cinema Tools database?
5. Where do I enter the KN Start & KN End?
6. What about Pull List & Cut List?
Please give me the details of film technics in Final Cut Pro....

I knew I'd find this same post here. That makes three versions of trhe same list of questions.
Posting three times here implies you have posted this set of questions in many other FCP forums around the Net. If that is so, do us all the kindness of returning to all of them and closing them. Include the suggestions you have received and the solutions that were successful for you. That way your multiple threads will show up on search inquiries when other confused FCP newbies try to start complex film projects.
It's a bummer you cannot find these answers in the FCP manuals, I'm usre you looked there first. But, since we run on volunteers around here, it may be several days before someone with enough practical CinemaTools experience can stop by and handle them for you. Please have some patience.

Flash builder 4.6 with Flash CS5.5 mobile work flow

I have a mobile application built in flash professional. For captive runtime or native extensions i use the command line.
I now want to start using flash builder, as i hear this is the undisputed better coding environment.
In flash builder, i created a 'flash professional project' to work on my app with both tools simultaneously.
I thought flash builder 4.6 would give me options like captive runtime or native extensions without using the command line.
However i dont see these options at all. When i am using a 'flash professional project' in flash builder, am i essentially just using flash builder as a code editor, and all export settings are still handled in flash IDE ? Meaning i cannot take advantage of captive runtime+ ANEs unless using an 'actionscript mobile project'
Please advise.
Also, even if i use it as just a better code editor, i am not finding it better so far.
syntax highlighting seems poor
simple things like touch events.
function parameters or inside the function like e.touchPointID , e.stageX
none of this is highlighted.
or as simple as
ball.x;
the .x would normally be highlighted, but it is not in flash builder.
Basically, i am finding as a tool to use with flashIDE as a flash professional project, so far i am seeing no benefits. Please help me to discover what i am missing about this editing environments mobile work flow.
also when i hit ctrl+s to save my work, it jumps between the two programs... saving the project i suppose? hard to just quickly save as you go in case of crashes and such.

Work Flow Notification mailer

Hello Team:
We have enabled work flow notification mailer service in our EBS system. Last week I restarted the services ( ALL Tiers ) and as soon as I did the restart. The business users started to receive Notification mailers. Apparently a bunch of them. I looked at the Workflow configuration settings and I was unable to figure out the setting that triggers this email stuff.
Any idea about where this setting should be checked and tuned . We are on 11.5.10 CU2 and it is running on RHEL 4.0.

If you are using notification mailer services just for testing purpose then update "Set Override Address" option in "Workflow Notification Mailer" services to a active mail a/c, so that all testing mails will be re-directed to this a/c instead of various users mail a/c. But if you are implementing the notification services, then pls go though the notification services implementation document once and set the required parameters as per your business requirements.
Users also disable receiving mails at their end, by editing their e-biz user a/c "preferences" and set e-mail notification style to no e-mail notifications option.

WORK FLOW SCENARIO IN CUP STAGE APPROVAL PROCESS

We had configured GRC CUP with four stage approval work flow process .I have a question like is there any condition / option If there are few Top management level users ( M0,M1.....M9).In CUP Change Account request Few roles should not be selected by the users else system should not allow the roles or Roles not be provisioned.Kindly do the needful on priority.

We had configured few workflow scenarious based on our business.In CUP for Change account request type, we had configured a four stage workflow as for new role creation or to modify existing roles , we are using change account request type for approving and provisioning of the roles, This request type includes four stage approvals like Manager ->Role Owner> and Application owner.This is how the flow is configured.I have a question like , is there any possibility to change the provisioning process , ( ex: If there are approval level s from Top Management like M0,M1,M2.....M9) ., Let us consider if Manager approves the request and role owner performs risk analysis , and Application owner approves , still the request shud not be provisioned, If it is provisioned also, the roles should not be created .
Hope its clear and you can able to understand the scenario.Please help regarding this.
