    2. Installed BusinessObjects Enterprise 3.1 , Crystal Reports 2008, SAP GUI 7.1 and SAP Integration Kit on this new server name : BODEMOSER.
    3. We already have EP 7.0 on Oracle 10.2 on EPDEMOSER SERVER.
I have installed the BOE 3.1 and Integrated with the BI Server and imported the roles and all the functions are working fine between BO and BI.For Portal Integration i have transferred the masterview file from BODEMO SERVER com.businessobjects.pct.masteriview.par to the EPDEMOSER SERVER.
And it was uploaded in the EPDEMOSER SERVER System Administration--> Support --> uploaded successfully. And I have followed the SSO configuration as per te guide. And values in the Web.xml files are properly as per the guide.
After the uploading the masterview par file i could not able to view the iView template in the System.I have cleaned the cookes and all temp files.
As per the guide I have created an folde name BI_BO and SYstem name as BI_BO_DEMO.Now when I started creating a iView Template by right clicking the System name BI_BO_DEMO and provided the following parameters for each Property Category.

Whether i should install the BO Integration kit in EP portal also or any Portal Inetgration kit is available.
    Regards
    Bala

    Hi,
    1. Whether Integration kit for SAP should be installed in EP Server also ( which has been installed in BO server for BI and the SSO for BI and EP STRUSTSSO2 also works fine.
    - the portal is acting as the frontend for viewing content and yes there needs to be trust between your portal and your BW system
    2. the connector parameter and the iview template object parameter as correct as per the distributed enviorment.
When i checked with portal; admin they asked doubt what should be crystal enterprise server ( BO) and the what is the server should connector parameter should have.
    - the Crystal Enterprise parameter do not influence the connector properties and do not lead to the point that the connector settings fail. the Crystal Enterprise parameters are only relevant when viewing SAP BusinessObjects related content.
Make sure you connector settings work even without the Crystal Enterprise parameters first.

Guess it's appropriate forum for this question regarding BI to portal connectivity. I've tried Template Installer from SAP Note 983156 but in it's first step "create RFC destination in abap" fails with following error message:

There are few threads on this issue but fail to resolve the issue here. If some came across this issue I'll be pleased if a solution can be shared here.

    Issue resolved,
Template installer runs on specific SP levels on BI.
    Check SAP notes for this.

  • Portal integration with AD using Kerberos

I am trying to setup my EP7 portal to use my AD as the UME.  I need to setup SSO and SNC presumably using Kerberos.
    My Portal is on UNIX.
Does anyone have installation instructions to setup this scenario
    Thanks
    Graham

    Graham,
I think you are a bit confused, so I will try and help.
    1. SNC is used for secure communication between ABAP system and between SAP GUI and ABAP (e.g. for SSO or secure network communications).
    2. SNC can be used to authenticate and secure a connection between code running on a portal and an ABAP system, but this is not often used, and I see nothing in your requriements that suggests this is needed.
    3. If you are using the SAP SPNEGO login module for Web SSO, then you can configure the Java stack (which is running the portal) so that it uses AD as UME data source. If you don't want to do this and instead, you prefer to use ABAP as user data source, then you can use a third party product which is not dependant on the UME configuration, and provides Web SSO using Kerberos.
    4. If you want to implement SSO for SAP GUI, then SNC will be used. This is completely different to Web/Portal SSO and not to be confused.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Tim

  • Error when using the template installer MI post installation process

    Hi all,
I am busy to configure the Netweaver Administrator in order to create setup packages for mobile devices. This is a WAS 6.40 ABAP JAVA instance with mobile infrastructure.
I have installed the netweaver SR1 and upgraded abap and java to SPS18 afterwards.
Afterwards I used the template installer, I executed:  MI post installation process.
But when I did this an error message occured on the following node:

Here after I followed manual: MI25 SPS18 inst newtech.pdf for configuring the NWA.
I checked the complete manual, but still the error message occurs, when I am using the template installer.
    There is one more thing.
When I go to the NWA, to the Mobile Infrastructure node, allmost all subnodes give me the following error:
    (For instance on hierarchy grouping:)
Failed to get hierarchy group elements from middleware. Reason: Could not connect to middleware.
Does this error message relate to the other error message?
Please give me advise/hints/directions to solve this problem....
    Your help will be appreciated!

  • Create URL to specific Business Object for a CRM using Portal integration

    Hello CRM Community,
we're using the CRM Portal integration. To update our business users with tasks we use the standard functionality to send Alerts using the function module SALRT_CREATE_API. It allows to specify a URL that is added to the E-Mail created in the alert using the Table parameter IT_ACTIVITIES. This URL should be filled with a direct link to the business object that must be changed. For the stand-alone CRM there is the static Method CREATE_URL of the class CL_CRM_WEB_UTILITY to build such an URL. But I was not able to find a similar class/method/function module when the CRM is used integrated in the portal. Has anyone a simmilar requirement and was able to solve it?
    Best regards

  • Duplicate appSettings section using SharePoint 2007 Portal Integration Kit

We have installed the BusinessObjects XI Release 2 SharePoint 2007 Portal Integration Kit on a MOSS server and are successfully viewing reports in SharePoint.
But, when we ran the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard, the appSettings section of the web.config with only the Business Objects settings within gets duplicated.  This causes all of the SharePoint sites which use BO to go down becauase of the duplicate appSettings section.
Have you seen this behavior and is there a newer version of the integration kit available which may repair it?
    Thanks,
    Eric

As mentioned earlier we will have a native 64bit support for SharePoint 2007 64bit, probably next year.
It would be enhanced version of SharePoint 2007 PIK with functionalities at PAR with .NET infoview.
I will like to put a disclaimer mentioning that plans are subject to change

  • BI-Portal integration problem

    Hi Experts,
I've done the steps in Integrating BI and Portals. I've come across an issue where i initially setup a system as the BI mastersystem and then deleted the system and reassigned it to another system. I have alias SAP_BW on this new system as well. however when i run a query from query designer it still looks for the old system. Then as per note 919197 i removed all duplicate mastersystems and restarted. but i still have the same issue as BEx is still looking for the old master system. I get the error "child not found" and "Error while reading aliases" .
Could anybody please tell me how to sort this issue out.
    thanks and regards
    dilanke

Have you tried using this tool...
Note 937697       SAP NetWeaver BI Diagnostics & Support Desk Tool
and Note 983156     BI configuration w. Template Installer
    Also check these reports..
    1. RSPOR_SETUP
    1. Execute the report RSPOR_SETUP with transaction SE38 (or SA38; or you can execute the report from the SAP Reference IMG, see Documentation below)
    2. Use value help of entry field Program ID (or RFC Destination) to choose __ as RFC Destination (this destination is created by the Template Installer)
    3. Enter Portal SID (required to check step 10)
    4. Press button Execute
    2. RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_70
Run Report RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_70 and Enter Template ID 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN > Choose Program / Execute
Choose Analyse / Validate , Choose Analyse / Execute in Debug Mode ,A Web Browser is opened and you have to logon to the Portal. Finally, an empty Analysis Pattern (without data) should appear. After these tests you can continue your testing by creating and using your own Queries (with BEx Query Designer), Web Templates (BEx Web Application Designer) and Reports (BEx Report Designer).
    hope it helps..

  • BSP Exception: Access to URL /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.ip.bi.web.portal.integration.launcher;jsessionid= not allowed

    Dear all,
I've created out BI system in our new Portal installation and tested the connection. Everything works fine. I added the certificate of the portal to STRUSTSSO2 in BI ABAP and assigned SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW to my Account.in BI. If I open the iView from the portal I get a BSP Exception with the message:
The used connection by the iView is to the ABAP-Stack of the BI-system not to the JAVA-Stack. Is that correct?
BSP Exception: Der Zugriff auf die URL /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.ip.bi.web.portal.integration.launcher;jsessionid=IDBYatWIpt_pX4uc52ChoZqMWkm1RAFW2qsA_SAP ist untersagt.
    What can be the problem/reason?
    Thanks!

    Hi Gerrit
In both places you have to provide a authorization access to the end users then only it will work. because your are already said that in SAP_All & SAP_New working fine
Back end BI system access as per the word document as pasted the link
    https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=7&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CFIQFjAG&url=http%3A%2F%2Fbasisdsp.f…
For SAP portal you have to create iview's assign the same to end user
Assigning an Authentication Scheme to an iView - User Authentication and Single Sign-On - SAP Library
Portal Authentication Infrastructure - Configuring the Portal for Initial Use - SAP Library

  • Login Issue in Portal system using SSO

    Dear All,
We have Expressnet system version 7 - windows +SQL DB.

My question is single user is present in different Data Source in LDAP during this case how the user can able to login.
Ex username: Priyan , It present in CORE_LDAP_DS1 and CORE_LDAP_DS5.
Kindly let us know the how the user is login to LDAP where and how the user name and password is fetching from?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
The problem is in the BEx Web configuration.
Check whether the the Mime repository has the images or not in BI 7 server.
If Mime has the images then the BI and portal configuration is not done properly using the BI template installer.
You need to set the set the BWMANDT in table RSADMINA to current used default client.
Also try to set the BEx web,
The problem might get resolved after setting BEx Web.
    Required Steps
You can perform an initial check of the automatic configuration with the
    following steps:
Note 917950 - SAP NetWeaver 2004s: Setting Up BEx Web
    1. Execute the report RSPOR_SETUP with transaction SE38 (or SA38; or you
can execute the report from the SAP Reference IMG, see Documentation
    below)
    2. Use value help of entry field Program ID (or RFC Destination) to
choose <BI_SID>_<J2EE_HOSTNAME>_<J2EE_SID> as RFC Destination (this
destination is created by the Template Installer)
    3. Enter Portal SID (required to check step 10)
    4. Press button Execute
Placeholder <BI_SID> correspond to the field BACKEND_SID of the Template
Installer's Data Entry. <J2EE_HOSTNAME> correspond to the field J2EE HOST
    and <J2EE_SID> to J2EE SID.

  • Portal integration with E-Business and Discoverer 10g

    Hello Everyone,
We have a R12 integrated with SSO/OID. We also have a standalone Oracle BI Discoverer 10g. We want to implement Oracle Portal here. One of the requirements of this project is to have a common home page for both E-Business Suite login as well Discoverer access. Right now E-Business Suite login is seperate and Discoverer home page is seperate (because it comes from a Standalone installation)
    1) What are the benefits of having AS Portal 10g for end users ?
    2) To begin with, we would like to go with the minimum portlets.
    3) Is it possible to have a common home page for both E-Biz access and the Discoverer acess after Portal integration ?
    4) Do you have some screenshots of how things look after Portal integration
    -Thanks
    Srinivas

    Hi,
    take a look in metalink Note:313418.1. :
"Using Discoverer 10.1.2 with Oracle E-Business Suite 11i"
Look in section 6 - post installation.
Follow the steps and have a very good luck.
