BICA import data only for specific period

Hello,
when using BI connector (BICA) and importing data, is it possible to set for which period (month) to import data?
Because now I see that it deletes all the data and imports for all months, which I think is not performance wise.

Also, why connection between PAS and BW is kept, even after both schema and data import into PAS?
If I break connection, I can see from logs that DAT171:Unable to do drillthrough operation is being spammed due to connection failure, so it seems it checks for connection frequently.
Why is it needed when I have both schema and data imported?

I have been using the iPhone 4S for about a year and I never had problems untill a few days back. Since about a week, my 3G settings for applications installed automatically reset.
Path >> iPhone screen >> Settings >> Mobile(Cellular) >> Use Mobile Data For >> "List of all apps installed"
Against each application, you have an option to either enable / disable the mobile data usage:
Eg:
App Store          (swipe left to disable || swipe right to enable)
Contacts          (swipe left to disable || swipe right to enable)
Facebook          (swipe left to disable || swipe right to enable)
Facetime          (swipe left to disable || swipe right to enable)
Weather          (swipe left to disable || swipe right to enable)
You Tube          (swipe left to disable || swipe right to enable)
etc...
Problem:
If I don't want You Tube to use mobile data, I would normally swipe left to disable thus the application will not start / stream any music if its on 3G/4G. Since a few days, whenever I disable the option for any app... go back to the main screen and recheck the settings, I see its enabled again!
The error I see when I start the app is:
MOBILE DATA IS TURNED OFF FOR "YOU TUBE"
You can turn on mobile data for this app in settings
<Settings>     <OK>
When I go back to settings... I see the option is enabled.
Now I dont know what and how this happened all of a sudden. I have tried resetting the network settings for my iPhone, and it has not helped me.
My iPhone is updated to OS 7.0.4 and all apps are updated.
Anyone can help me on this error and how do I fix this?
FYI... I have no problems connecting to WiFi at all!

70-Permission denied while importing data in a specific period for one location

Hi,
I've been working with FDM without any troubles for the past months, however when we try to import data to period (2013-01-01) in a specific location we keep on getting the 70-Permission denied error.
We've checked that the application has it's proper UNC path and the strange thing is that it all works perfectly fine with all the other periods in all location but not this period on this one location, we simply can't import data.
I have deleted the period and created it again but we keep on getting the error. I am about to delete the only location where we get the error and then create it again to see if this solves the problem.
Could anybody give me a clue of what could be the problem?

Has the location / period been locked? From memory i think the option to lock / unlock is in the tools menu option, based on location / period / category.

Export data for specific period through Data Pump

Hi,
I've a specific requirement to take the dumps of some tables for specific time period. like between last 10 days like 01-JAN-11 to 10-JAN-11. How can I acommplish this. For Documentation what I read is that we can export the data for specific period of thie by either setting FLASHBACK_SCN or FLASHBACK_TIME parameter in expdp command but this is point in time export not for the specific time export.
Please guide me how can export between the specific time. like between 1-JAN to 10-JAN

export between the specific time. like between 1-JAN to 10-JANYou need to clarify your requirements. Data is always "at a point in time". I can see data as at noon of 01-Jan. I can see data as at noon of 10-Jan. What would I mean by data "between" 01-Jan and 10-Jan ?
Say the table has 5 rows on 01-Jan :
ID    VALUES
1      ABC
2      DEF
3      TRG
4      MXY
5     DEW2 Rows "6-GGG" and "7-FRD" were inserted on 02-Jan.
2 Rows "2" and "3" were updated from "DEF" and "TRG" to "RTU" and "GTR" on 03-Jan.
1 Row "5-DEW" was deleted on 09-Jan.
2 Rows "8-TFE" and "9-DZN" were insereted on 09-Jan.
Can you tell me what is the "data between 01-Jan and 10-Jan" ?
(the above example actually happens to have an incrementing key column "ID". Your table might not even have such an identifier column at all !)

SSRS 2008 Column Chart with Calculated Series (moving average) "formula error - there are not enough data points for the period" error

I have a simple column chart grouping on 1 value on the category axis. For simplicity's sake, we are plotting $ amounts grouping by Month on the category axis. I right click on the data series and choose "Add calculated series...". I choose moving average. I want to move the average over at least 2 periods.
When I run the report, I get the error "Formula error - there are not enough data points for the period". The way the report is, I never have a guaranteed number of categories (there could be one or there could be 5). When there is 2 or more, the chart renders fine, however, when there is only 1 value, instead of suppressing the moving average line, I get that error and the chart shows nothing.
I don't think this is entirely acceptable for our end users. At a minimum, I would think the moving average line would be suppressed instead of hiding the entire chart. Does anyone know of any workarounds or do I have to enter another ms. connect bug/design consideration.

I was having the same error while trying to plot a moving average across 7 days. The work around I found was rather simple.
If you right click your report in the solution explorer and select "View Code" it will give you the underlying XML of the report. Find the entry for the value of your calculated series and enter a formula to dynamically create your periods.

What I'm doing here is getting the row count of records returned in the chart. If the returned rows are greater than or equal to 7 (The amount of days I want the average) it will set the points to 7. If not, it will set the number to the amount of returned rows. So far this has worked great. I'm probably going to add more code to handle no records returned although in my case that shouldn't happen but, you never know.
A side note:
If you open the calculated series properties in the designer, you will notice the number of periods is set to "0". If you change this it will overwrite your custom formula in the XML.

New GL - Financial Statement for Specific Periods

We are using the new GL. I am looking for a report similar to F.01. Instead of displaying reporting period, comparison period, absolute difference, and rel diff, we would like to display amounts for specific periods.
For example, we would like to see totals for period 11 2009, period 10 2010, and period 11 2010 all in one report with columns like below.
Ccode     Acct          11.2009          10.2010          11.2010
ABCD     101000          7.221,53     6.482,51     5.418,92
ABCD     102000          2.447,34     2.361,81     3.144,62
Is there such a report? I have looked, but it appears that all the reports can only be displayed for a range of periods.

We have Oracle Human Resources 11.5.7 and I would like to know which is the best way to use when need to query data for employees valid within a specific period (From/To) or at specific date.
For example:
Say Current Date= 25-OCT-05
1.
If I want to query the number of employees booked for a training event occurred as at 01-AUG-05 and one of the employees booked left as at 30-SEP-05, I would like to be included in the query.
or 2.
If I want to see the employees assignment details for a specific period to see the active(latest) assignment details as at that period.
I would appreciate any feedback regarding the best way to do such queries as far as accuracy of data and performance is concerned.

Actually I'm already using this..
My problem is when I need to retrieve information for a specific period of time.
For example say I want to retrieve all sickness absences for Year 2004 and want to retrieve the last employee details (people & assignment tables) that fall within this period (either with an effective date >= sysdate (ie. still active) or which was current upto 31-dec-2004 and might changed later on).
To be more specific let's say an employee took sick leave in 2004 for total 10 days and has the following rows in per_people_f and per_assignments_f:

Load FI data only for open items

Hi all
I want to load FI data only for open items.
We started off with FI_GL_4 which has STATUSPS(status of FI line item)based on which we have written a start routine to filter out the closed items.
But for other FI-GL datasources we dont have STATUSPS field.
Then can we load data directly without applying any restriction on it as we dont have STATUSPS field in it?
Or is there an other way to find all open items ?

Hi Harikag,
when you are loading delta data in 0FI_GL_4, it is NOT the right approach to load only the open items.
Say for example, you have loaded a record with open status.
If the status of the record gets changed to 'Closed' in SAP, then this will not flow to BW, because of the filter that you are trying to apply in the data load.
So the item will continue to remain open in BW, though it is closed in R3.
hence it is highly recommended to do this filtering at report level.
Otherwise, you are looking at full load option by dropping data everyday, which will have performance issues in loading.

Using manual IP address only for specific networks

For my home network I use DHCP with manual address because I have to forward some ports specifically to my computer. However this causes problems when connecting to other networks. For some reason this setting stays active even when using other networks. Therefore, I can't connect to say my school network because the setting has to be set to plain DHCP. Is there a way to use manual IP address only for specific networks?

System Preferences > Network > Locations and add a location for your home with its manual settings. Add a location for other DHCP locations. Then when you want to connect at another DHCP location select that location from your locations dropdown.

According to your description, you want to get sub-totals specific columns within columns group. Right?
In this scenario, we can use IIF() function in expression to achieve your goal. The expression will only return the total value when the column value is a specific value, otherwise we can make it return nothing. Try the following expression:
IIF(Fields!Column.Value="[specific value]",Sum(Fields!Total.Value),nothing)

As I said you can use where SMS ID like %1 and see how many machines that gets you. If it's not enough do where SMS ID like %1 or SMS ID like %2. Keep adding a digit until you get ~5000. It won't be perfect though.

It works for all documents of all sites.

I just search for a way to limit the range of the script to the actual site.
Therefore it is unimportant, which regex is in the example.

VA01 Item category display only for specific order type

I have a requirement to deactivate(display only) item category field in VA01 table item for certain order type . I tried the user exit MV45AFZZ(USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION). This is working only if the table item has a value. i.e I could able to enter an item category first and then enter the material and quantity.
So please suggest any alternative how to make the item category field(VBAP-PSTYV) column display only for centrain order type.
