Bid invitation not available to bidder.

Hello all,
I have created Bid invitation w.r.t. SC in sourcing cockpit, But when the bid is published to bidder ( Business partner & role maintained for the same) is not getting transfered to bidder.
No could you please explain the cause and the possible trouble shooting for this problem. Also explain where i can monitor these transactions?

I have created the contact person for bidder through the web only. There shouldnt be any problem in creating BP or contact person as the bid invitation was sent to bidder sucessfully, even i could create contract in backend after the bids receieved from the same bidder.only some times this error is flashed. ( all atributes, master data used is one and the same).
Now could u please tell me how exactly the bid invitaion is sent to bidder. any FM, prog??? which i should check out??
About creating bidder, I have created the bidder after replicating that vendor from backend. Then for the bidder i have created employee as a contact person through web ( Manage business partner) with bidder role assigned.

Bid Invitation not automatically sending change notification email

Hello,
I have the folowing issue with the email output bid invitations in SRM 5.
In Define actions for document output I set BBP_PD_BID to Processing when saving document. This work fine for new Bid Invitations, but when I make a changes after publishing no new output is generated for change notifications.
When I manually select 'Inform bidders and send out bids', the origional email is re-output and not the change version of the smartfotm text ('We would like to draw your attention to the'..... and not "The following bid invitation has been changed")
Is the auto output of change notifications for bid invitation standard? I though it was as I saw it set up in a different system.

It looks like the auto output is not standard as per this sap help page:

BID invitation publishing authorisation

Hi,
When we select " Process Bid invitation" in EBP, we have find button through which we can filter the Bid invitations and open the same. But it lists even the Bid invitations which i am not authorised.
For ex.
Bid invitations created by "P1" purchasing group are Bid1, Bid2 & Bid3.
Bid invitations cerated by "P2" purchasing group are Bid 11, Bid12 & Bid13.
P1 purchaser can open the Bid invitations (Bid11,Bid12 & Bid13)created by P2 and can publish. Is there any control in org.structure or it is only through authorisation objects.
There is a selection criteria "My Bid invitations". But it can be used to open only my bid invitations not restricting others to open my bids.

Create a new role for Example ZBR01_EC_BBP_OP_RM1
BR01 is a plant
RM1 is a pruchase group
and go to authorisation and display authorisation data . then go to organisational levels and maintain purchase group , purchase organisation.

Sourcing Determination for Automatic Bid invitation.

Helo all,
We have a few issues with Sourcing Determination.
SRM 4.0/EBP 5.0 SP 08
We set the sourcing for all
Product categories - Automatic Bid invitaion for items without source of supply in the Table BBPV_SRC_DETERMINE
It was working fine but all of a sudden it moves all the requirements into the Sourcing cockpit instead of creating a Bid inviation.
Things done after this set up..
Product Categories were replicated again into the SRM system.
All settings for product categories were deleted and entered again. (Ex PPOMA_BBP, Define Bckend sys for prd cat) etc.
Has anyone run into issues like this before.

Bidder Not able to filter Bid Invitations with custom fields

Dear Community,
Need some ABAP help.
Know many experts are in our community.
We have added 3 custom fields to the Bid Invitation and Bid header
Coded Badi BBP_CUF_BADI_2 for them to appear in the Search criteria for Find Bid Invitation for both the logins(purchaser and bidder).
The custom fields now appear in the Extended search for both.
These custom fields extract values from custom tables.
But we found that the search criteria seems to be filtering Bid Invitations only in the Process Bid Invitation screen(Find Bid Invitation) of the purchaser login.
Template: bbp_bid_inv/99/saplbbp_bid_inv_1010.html
And NOT filtering Bid Invitations in the Process Bid screen(Find Bid Invitations and Auctions) of the Bidder login.
bbp_quot/99/saplbbp_quot_ui_its_1010.html
The ABAPer has already incuded the custom fields in structures INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_BID and INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_QUOT,
What is required in addition so that the search criteria will work in the Bidder login as well??

and tried some code in method
BBP_WF_LIST_SOCO
but did not help us.
Can you suggest any specific code to try?
You are right for template modification for values of this custom fields.
If we do that Bidder CAN filter the BI correctly with these values of custom fields.
But customer does not want that way because in future the values would be changing.
and so it would be an additional task to correct templates.
Also they have to redo these changes with every upgrade.
So we are fetching the values from custom tables for these custom fields.
Would like to again draw the attention towards purchaser's search with these custom fields.
Why purchaser can search correctly with these custom fields fetching values from custom tables?
Can we debug or take any hint from there?
Any futher thoughts?

Bidder able to see all the bid invitation

Hello Experts,
We are implementing SRM 5.0 and when we create a new bid invitation with more than one supplier, and publish it. There are no issues.
When we loggin as Bidder, this bidder is able to see all the bids even the ones which they are not invited for.
Please help us to fix this issue.

Vendor not able to see bid invitations created one day before

Hi friends,
We are workig with SRM5.0 SP08. I have observed that vendors are not able to see bid invitations processed one day before.
Could you pls suggest the probable reason, if anybody has come across similar problem? Bid invitation version is active and can be seen with purchasers login.

all these bid invitation statuses are not closed. its published only. The problem is bidder is not able to see bid invitations with dates in the past.

Ur right. There is also problem with search functionality. In fact I can display list of bid invitations only if I am not giving any search criteria.

Bid Invitation - assign Bidder

Hi All,
I am working on the configuration part of Strategic sourcing in SRM. I am facing a situation in the process. Let me explain you the flow folloed by me.
1. I created a Shopping cart and did approve it successfully.
2. I created a Bid Invitation from SC and did publish.
3. Now If I am not wrong this Bid Invitation should go to the Bidders, who should be able to quote their prices.
But I am not able to figure out that how to handle this.
Infact I did assign a vendor while converting the SC to Bid Invitation and assumed that this bid invitation should go to the vendor but it is not happening.
can someone guide me how to do this?
It would be better if you tell me how to create a bidder and assign the bid invitation to him?
I am basically an technical, so I apreciate if you explain in detail. thanks in advance.

Have you maintained Vendor root organization in EBP and under this root organization you to maintain Vendors on whom you want to place bid invitation.

Bid Invitation Display not working in cFolder

Hi ,
I am using the cFolder application with SRM 5.5.
Now when I create a collaboration (while creating a bid invitation) a cfolder link is created.
When I enter in the cFolder application, there is a external reference tab available " Bid Invitatn XXXXXXXXXX Display".
If I click on this tab, it should open the same bid invitation, but currently its not working.
Can anybody suggest what is the expected behaviour of the system if I click on this tab? Any suggession regarding configuratiion which I probably have missed to make this tab working?

Contact persons of a bidder in a bid invitation

Hi all,
If I pass the bid invitation guid or bid invitation number to the function module BBP_PD_BID_GETDETAIL, the business partners are obtained in th table E_PARTNER table. In this table I am not able to recognise which are the bidders added to the bid invitation and the default contact persons of the corresponding bidder assigned in the bid invitation. Is there any way to find the rleation between the bidder and the contact persons of the bidder? If i know a contact person can i find the bidder of the contact person? Could any one suggest me on this.

I think you can find this relationship in the Table BUT050.
The field Partner1 is the Company (Bidder), and the field Partner2 is the Contact Person. So, if you search using the Partner2, you can get it's Company in Partner1, witch should be a Bidder.
There are some BP in Partner2 that are not Contact Persons, but you can filter that buy serching only the BP with PARTNER_FCT = '0000017'.

Bid invitations are not going to Vendors

Hi,
We create BId invitations, but vendors are not recieving these invitations. We created contact persons and maintained vendor email address and everthing is working fine till last week. we got compalin that not recieving any Bid Invitation emails this week.
When we see T-code SOST, all vendor email address are showing in Greena and saying everything went fine...can some one tell me where could be the problem...and where to check.
If it didn't go to one vendor i can understand there is problem from vendor side...none of the vendors getting BId Invitation emails...

To me it sounds like your SMTP server problem.
Here is a test you can do to confirm that to your mail folks.
Go to SO01 transaction and send yourself a test mail. In the recipient list use internet and use a external mail account (yahoo or gmail etc). Then check in SOST that mail has been sent. Then check if you receive that email to your external account. Do the above steps for your company internal address and check. That should tell you if the external emails are blocked on SMTP server.

Buffer Table Not Up To Date Short Dump When Publishing Change Version of Bid Invitation

Hi experts,
We are running SRM 5.5 with Support Level 16.
We have a bid invitation for which a user is trying to publish a Change Version. This bid contains two bid outlines, with one line item in each bid outline:
ITEM 1: HIER (Bid Outline)
ITEM 2: Line Item
ITEM 3: HIER (Bid Outline)
ITEM 4: Line Item
However, upon clicking on the Check or Publish button, the system throws a CX_BBP_PD_ABORT exception short dump. The reason for the exception given in ST22 is "Buffer table not up to date".
Due to organisational system security restrictions, I am unable to copy-paste the dump from ST22, so I will be typing out some of the details here.

Upon tracing the variable values in the ST22 dump, it appears the program terminates when processing line 3 (i.e. the second Bid Outline). It appears that the first Bid Outline processes fine.
In the iteration for Line 3, the dump provides that gt_itmadm-parent contains the GUID to the Change Version document header, whereas w_itmadm-parent contains the GUID to the original Bid Invitation document header, resulting in a mismatch and subsequently program termination.
We have tried to replicate this bid invitation in our Development environment, but when executing, both gt_itmadm-parent and w_itmadm-parent contain GUIDs to the Change Version document header, hence the program does not abort.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Janu,
For Note 1561750, I have looked at the Correction Details and observed that it makes changes to an IF-ELSE block, but will result in the same path of code execution as before. I.e., the Note changes the code from "IF a THEN b, ELSE c" to just "c", but according to my code trace, we are already executing the "ELSE c" block in its current state.
We will look further into Note 1877600. The unfortunate situation here is that since we are unable to replicate this issue in our Development/QA environment, and the Note description does not explicitly fit the situation we are facing, we need to be very sure that the Note can address the issue before bringing it into Production.
Otherwise, we will raise a message as suggested.

Actually we cloned standard bid process (bus2200) to PP process and when we r working with
standard bid process with stragic purchaser role and making changes to published bid , the changes r updating but in pp proceess the changes r not updating

here i am not able to view my attachments.when i click on change button and add new document then i can see my old attachments along with the new one. please help me if any one have faces this earlier...

I think landscape of your Dev system is different than your Quality system. You need to put an entry of fully qualified domain name in the table I have mentioned.
The entry in the table should look like :-
MANDT         <client name>
SORT KEY      010
PROTOCOL      HTTP
APPLICATN     *
FOR DOMAIN
HOST          <fully qualified domain name>
PORT          80
If you are using a web dispatcher or reverse proxy server in your landscape, then there should also be an entry for http header.

Diagnosis
    In FUNC BBP_PDORG_GETDETAIL (function group SAPLBBP_PDORG) an
    inconsistent status was discovered.
Procedure
    Start the transaction again. If the error occurs again, create an OSS
    message.
    To analyze the error, you can set a breakpoint in the function module
    'BBP_PD_ABORT' and look at the call-up hierarchy in debugging mode.

check the consistency of the user who is trying to open the bid invitation. Give sap_all and test if this works, to isolate any authorization issues.
