Bid Invitation Workflow

Hi All,
We are using SRM 4.0 EBP 5.0. and we are implementing a standalone solution with a requirement for a one-step bid invitation approval workflow.
I saw there is the Workflow Template WS79000006 for the object type BUS2200 with the event TOBEACCEPTED.
I need to know how to trigger this event from the transaction BBP_BID_INV.

Hi All,
We are having issues implementing SRM standard bid invitation workflow approval becos of the absence of a web transaction acknowledged by SAP.

Hi Daniel,
As standard, as of SRM40, there is no approval workflow while creating Bid Invitation. Because of this We gave up on this. You can definitely custom on your own. Our need was similar SC BADI workflow. SRM50 has.
We did implement worklfows for "Approval of Submitted Bids"
Can you try with same web transaction assigned to task for "Approval of Submitted Bids" i.e., BBP_QUOT_EXTWF to this TS79007918 and try. Web Transaction is nothing but a Web service attached backend transaction, right. Your case web transaction BBP_QUOT_EXTWF is pointing to Source BBP_BID_INV, Try your luck having done so much and let me know.

No approval workflow found error while processing the Bid Invitation

We are working on SRM 5.0 (SP level6). We are able to create the bid invitations successfully from the sourcing cockpit. However while saving the changes in the bid invitations, system shows the error "No approval workflow found". When checked in SWB_PROCUREMENT , no workflow exists for object" BUS2200, Bid Invitation EC"in the standard SRM.
Kindly confirm what is missing...

Hi Nitin,
Use T-code OOCU - Task custamising overview. Then SRM-EBP --> SRM-EBP-WFL then active event linking.
Please activate WS145000026 for automatic approval of bid. or WS145000027 for one step approval of bid invitation.
This will help to solve your problem. IF not please reply me the error.

Bid invitation publishing with out workflow

Hi srm guru's,
I cannot publish the Bid invitation. System showing error message as no workflow.
I want to publish BI with out any workflow.
Is any configurations required for a bid invitation publishing with out workflow.

Stoping notification: A new Bid for a Bid Invitation has been Received, once a response is submitted

Dear SRM experts,
I need your help in stopping one notification completely.
Once a Rfx response is submitted by bidde against a Rfxr, automatically system is sending a below notification to purchaser:
A new Bid for a Bid Invitation has been Received
But as per the bid secracy we dont want this notig=fication to be triggere by the system. We need to stop is completly.
Notification also contain a link to response. We have also made some validations on response and awards button of Rfx. But because of this link, those validation are bypassed.
Can anyone please let me know how to stop these notification for trigerring?

Hi Jinesh,
If you want to stop the BID email notification completely, you can do that by deleting the entry in the configuration setting "Define Recipient of the notification"
SPRO--> SAP SRM--> SRM Server --> C.A.B.S-->Business Workflow--> Process Controlled Workflow-->Business Process Configuration --" Define Recipient of the Notification"

Sorry to hijack this thread but since my problem is of same nature (and may be simpler) Hence I thought I would make use of the same.
I am activating Bid Invitation and Bid submission on our landscape.
SRM 4.0SP08 EBP 5.0 WAS6.40 R/34.7
In SRM org structure:
- I have maintained a pur org for vendors.
- assigned a manager to it.
- assigned vendors/biiders to it with contact persons.
(I have created these bidders via Manage External
business partner from STRAT PURCHASER web page).
- given the correct roles to strat purchaser & bidders.
- activated workflows WS79000002 and WS79000010 with
currency (the config guide says WS79000002 is
mandatory eventhough there is no approval)
Now Everything works fine i.e.:
- Strat purchaser creates Bid Invitation.
- Bidders can view this Bid Invitan and Submit their
bids against it.
- Strat purchaser can see the submitted bids and
accept and reject the bids.
The problem is:
when acceptd bid does not show the approver ( which is assigned as a manager in Pur org for vendors)
So I can not approve the bid and go ahead.
I even tried assigning the user (manager) to task TS79007914 without any sucess.
Can you please tell me which workflow , task or assignment I am missing??
as I said with the settings you said the approver manager is appearing in the Bid approval window.
But when the approver 'manager' logs in , he is not able to see the work item.
not able to understand why?

As described earlier the concerned task TS 79007914 is a general task and in OOCU I have not assigned any role or user to it.
(is this what you meant to say?)
The user MANAGER who is boss of my strategic purchaser should be the selected agent for this Bid approval.
I have made this user as dept head in the dept of my strat purchaser ( in org structure).
Am I missing somthing in define start conditions for workflow? (SWB_PROCUREMENT)
I have only activated WS79000002 and specified currency (no other settings for that WF). Am I need to do some correction?
I checked in
SWI2_FREQ - no message
BBP_PD - no alert found.
Can you send me screen shots for workflow settings for Bid Invitation?
Also our client wants that in the strat purchaser's dept there will be say 10 managers and any strat purchaser will have rights to select approver and reviewer link SC creation . How to achieve this ?

Hi everybody
"Create bid invit. from template in two different ways has different consequuences"
When I create a bid invitation from a previous template, from the template search results (Icon_create SAPLBBP_BID_INV 1010) my bid is published but then stay in the model search and the status is wating for approval. But no workflow started in BBP_PD.
If I use the same template for creating a new bid from the detail using the create bid invitation button, the bid invitation is created correctly.
I have configured the two events for the BUS2200 object and both of them have an initial condition.
It seems that the two actions trigger different events or something like that
Does anybody why it is occurring this and how I could link the workflow without approval for this case.

Bidding engine workflows in SRM 4.0

Hi all,
Can anyone help me with this? The BO BUS2200, 2202 and 2203 are there but the WF templates are missing and events aren't raised during the flows!! Despite the online help states that they should!
Is it deliverred with any support pack. for SRM 4.0?
The release I use is at :

Approval Workflows for bid invitations
After bid invitations (and their change versions) are published, one of these three approval workflows is started, depending on the start conditions.
The implementation of the BAdI BBP_WORKFLOW_APPROV_BADI is a prerequisite for n-step approval (with back & forth-processing). (If this is not the case, the manager of the purchasing organization is determined as approver.)

Bid Invitation always in approval - BUS2200

I am using SRM 5.0 with package 15.
In the transaction OOCU WS WS 14500026 (Automat. Approval of Bid Invitation) it is active.

Same tends activated WS14500026.

Process Bid Invitation status problem

Hi Experts,
I am working on SRM Standalone.
I have a problem in bid invitation.
In Process Bid Invitation
1.I have accepted the bid by using 'Check Bid' option.
2.While i was checking the 'Bid status' it is showing as 'Awaiting approval' even though bid was accepted.
Kindly suggest me why exactly this is happing.

Hi Chandu,
I feel that you must be using SRM 5.0 system.
Please use SAP Note 962488 and follow the function module they have provided to correct this issue.
This problem is occuring due to workflow definition.
To check this problem go to transaction PFTC
Task Type WS Workflow template
Task 79000003
go inside transaction,click on workflow builder and you will get status message as Workflow definition is not in version 0000.
You may require some basis or abap person help to fix this.

Approval WF for Bid Invitations

Is it possible to setup approvals for publishing Bid Invitations? We only see one WF (79000006 - One-Step Approval of Bid Invitation). We tried and it did not trigger a approval step. Appreciate any suggestions on how to setup approvals for Bid Invitations.
We are using SRM 4 with Classic Scenario.

have you activated the workflow?
(indicated by green button.)
in the beginning try using simple start condition
e.g.
&_EVT_CREATION_DATE& >= 01.01.2008
also remove any currency if it is there in SWB_COND for sub WF

WS14500028 BADI WF for Bid Invitation: No workitem is sent to the inbox

Hi All,
I was tasked to troubleshoot the existing workflow of the client. The workflow was able to determine the approver who will receive the workitem for his/her approval. However, the workitem is not seen in his inbox. Since there has been no workitem passed on to the approver's inbox, the workflow stays hanging and the document could not be converted to PO and Confirmation.
What do you think may cause the problem? Does it also involve the implemented BADI? Does the BADI only determine the approver or does it also control the workitem to be passed to the approver?
Please let me know your recommendations and suggestions to this problem.

How are you?
I think I've met you before here in the Philippines (I just started learning workflow that time).
I was able to do those steps. However, the log says that the BADI WF for BID Invitation No. xxxx, GUID xxx has a waiting status and there is no icon present under the agent column.
What do you think is the problem?

after publishing Bid Invitation Mail is not deliver to the bidder.
Its working in our quality system.
i checked in su01
and Bussiness parter deatils.
In Auction no issue. only in the BI this problem.
let me know what is the issue.
how to compare quality and production client.
or is there any workflow setting is required.....

How can we repair the output of the downloaded excel in bid invitations?

We are intrested in changing the current format of the downloaded file. We would like to remove the header lines and that only the item lines will be performed, we are also intrested of removing the columns: line category, Field Attribute, Change Key. The only columns we need to be performed in the file are: Document Number, Item Number, Item Description, amount, Delivery time.
Can anyone clarify how can this be done?

You can use BADI : BBP_PD_DOWNLOAD to chnage the format of the file.

Which SAP Version you are currently on ? What is the exact requirement ?
If i understand you right, Incase you want to add a button to the existing screen template then it will require standard code change and also you need to plan out how will you will code the logic to activate the button.
There is no BADI which can do this as this is not a SAP funtionality. You need to do a little bit of research on this to get the job done.
