Bid submission deadline restriction for document upload in cFolders

Hello,
We have a scenario where Bidding Engine (SRM 4.0) is integrated with cFolders (cProject Suite 3.1). We are facing the porblem of no time restriction on cFolders document upload. Pl find below the detailed description:
If the bid submission deadline of a bid invitation has elapsed, the bidder cannot access that particular bid invitation. If he tries to access it, a message is displayed "The submission deadline has already passed". However if he clicks on the "OK" button, he can go to the tab page "Information from Purchaser". Here he can, not only access the attached collaboration but can also modify the documents uploaded earlier. Also he can add as many documents as he wants, even after the passage of bid
submission deadline & save it.
Whenever the buyer accesses the particular bid he can see the latest documents (those were uploaded after the bid submission dealine).
My question to the experts is, how is it possible to restrict the bidder from uploading documents in the cFolders Collaboration after the bid submission deadline has elapsed? The bidder should not be able to upload/modify documents in cFolders collaboration after the bid submission deadline has passed.

I did came across a BAPI "BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2", but in order to use it for mass upload , we will have to develop a program. SO I was trying to see of the LSMW method could be used.

Hi Narendra,
LSMW is not supporting for attachements. Please check and confirm. If you have to upload bulk files then use BDC(Batch data collection) it's very useful for uploading thousands documents at a time. Ask abap'r to write a bdc program.

Virus Check before documents upload in cFolders

Hi,
in cFolders there is no virus scan in the standard, but you can use the virus scan that is integrated into the web application server. It is however only an interface so that you can use existing virus scan software - SAP does not supply the actual scanner software. Please see more in note 797108.

How to restrict editing documents uploaded in CRMD_ORDER ?

Hi All,
     In CRMD_ORDER transaction, Transaction Data -> Documents Tab, we can upload our documents,
    Once the document is uploaded and the transaction is saved, I want to restrict editing and deletion of the document.
    I got this BADI CRM_DOC_AUTHORITY, but i am not getting how to use it.
    In this BADI we have a parameter 'Acivity' which has possible values as,
01     Create Objects
02     Delete Objects
03     Read Objects
04     Change Objects
05     Get Authorization Information
06     Change Authorization Information
If we click on delete, 'the activity is 02 - Delete Objects", I cleared the '' ios_auth' and displayed the message 'Documents cannot be deleted'.   It is working fine.
But when we click on 'Edit' button, the activity is not set to '04' and it is allowing to edit the document and overwrite the existing one.
So pls any one help in this. I want to restrict both deletion and editing once the document is uploaded and saved.
any Suggestions pls ?

No Editor available for document upload in SIMGH

Hi All,
I am creating an IMG structure in CRM. I want to upload documentation along with each IMG activity.
I have prepared word document for each of them.
But the problem is system only shows the basic editor which is very difficult to work with.When I go to Goto-> Change Editor, it gives message "No Program available for processing document". Is this due to non availability of word editor in the system?
Do I need to install word editor and if so, how should I do that?
Can anyone please help me in this?

Please do not stop adding updated comments to old posts as these problems crop up time after time.
I experienced the same error 'There is no editor available for <filename>... ' but I knew it wasn't my VS Installation as I grabbed an older version of the code from the svn and that compiled and ran.
My errors were strange though, the solution has 39 projects and several projects were being skipped during a rebuild and there were the yellow ! in the main projects but when I tried to remove and add those references I got errors and they would not re-reference.
I tried all sorts of solutions and then I found this post.
Through reading through all of the posts I came to the conclusion there was a compatibility problem and when I started looking at the problem projects they were all at .Net V2.0 (that application has been around since 1.0). I
upped the framework version on one project and did a test rebuild, and it built so after upping all of the projects to V4.0 I can open the forms, the solution builds and the code runs and this post save me a huge huge problem and also what was potentially
going to be potentially an enormous amount of time to recover from another developers cock-up.
So please comment on old posts, it helped me massively.

Hi everybody!
I'm trying to Upload test documents in SOLAR02->Test Cases->Test Case Type "TWTD" (Test Document).
I'm failing with the error message "No authorization to import a document".
Does anybody know which role/authorization I need for being able to upload a test Document?

Hi,
The easiest way is to run transaction /Nsu53 after you get the error message.
But probably the authorization objects you need to take a look at are AI_SA_TAB and S_AIRMTAB.

Document Upload in cFolders

Hi experts,
I am working on cFolders 4.0
When I create a material, data sheet, discussion, upload is hapenning properly and I am able to see the version of the created object.
How ever, when I create a document, I get the screen to browse for a file from my local machine. After I select a file, I get a popup box saying uploading <file size>. Also the IE status bar shows the message uploading <file size>
How ever, after the upload, the popup disappears and I am navigated back to the document headre page and I cannot see the document link.
In my java console, I get the following error:

Hi,
If your file name contains space, the file will not be uploaded into cFolder. Try a file without containing any space in name. Ther is a note available at service.sap.com, Once you implement this note your problem wille gone.

Restrict the creation of documents in the cfolders after the Bid End Date

Hi All,
The System allows the bidders to create documents in cfolders even after the Bid Submission deadline has reached, whereas the Quotation would not be submitted as the Bid Submission date is in the past. Is there any way to restrict the creation of documents in the cfolders after the Bid Submission End Date?

Hi Mary,
In the competitive scenario in the first screen itself there are fields for "Due date" and "Due time". Once these entries are maintained, that particular collaboration will get freezed then and no documents or bids can be submitted post that time.

There are several options that you can explore for mass document upload and see which best fits your requirements and constraints:
-You can upload documents by using LSMW(Legacy System Migration Workbench). Using this, you can safely upload 1000-1100 documents at one go.
- Ask your ABAPer to develop a BDC for mass document upload.
- Use 'DMS Loader' solution from SEALS systems. http://www.sealsystems.de/fileadmin/mediaFiles/Factsheets/DMS_Loader_en.pdf

Create an iview for batch document upload to KM

Hi, I´m trying to create an iview for batch document upload to the portal. At the moment, I've only been able to upload documents from a source directory in the server, given an xml file uploaded from the client, which indicates the location of these files.
The inclution of the uploaded file to KM is not an issue, that is already solved. I'm just trying to make it usable by an administrative user that may not have access for creating folders in the portal server, unlike me.
I need help doing one of these two things:
1. creating an upload percentage status bar
or 2. accesing the client's directory to upload and insert the file into the repository one by one.
Can anyone help?
(by the way, I'm trying to to exactly what the portal epa import iview does, but with documents, so i know it's possible, i just don't know how)

Document upload/display for master data

Hello,
I have to implement a web application which provides a upload functionality for documents (images) of master data. Therefore exists a FM RSOD_MAST_CHANGE and this seems to be no problem to implement.
My problem now is to find a FM which provides the functionality to display these uploaded documents of specific master data characteristic.
Has anyone implemented such a functionality, too? Is there such a FM?

Restrictions to Postings between GLs for Document type SK/KD/SD/DD

Hello Friends,
In our SAP system we have encountered an issue where we see that our SAP system allows to post between GL accounts for document types SK/KD/SD/DD. We are trying to implement a validation rule such that it stops postings between GL account. But it does not work completely.
Please help me with this issue.
Refer the Screenshot attached showing the validation rule that we have created in OB28.

Sorry, I did not mean to imply that security was non-existant or horrible, just it is online, so no absolutes.
iCloud is really not useful, IMO, for collaborating as only you or your AppleID enabled devices can access the files.
I have multiple online storage accounts with the common free services, but my most used is www.box.net. Many document apps will readily support it, and even if one does not, you can use the box.net app itself to access files, then open them in the app usually. And you can share your online folders, with reasonable controls on access to keep control of who can see (and upload or download) what.
A lot of people I know use dropbox as well, but they are usually using paid accounts (often their company sets one up for them to use to exchange files with clients) and I don't know how much better is the security on a paid dropbox account versus a free one. I suspect the free ones are on a par with box.net.
You could also use add security by using some sort of PGP or other encryption tools to encrypt files put up on the shared folder(s). You'd exchange public keys with your colleagues so they could decrypt those files once they download them. That may be overkill for many peoples needs though.
Another option, if you have an online hosting account, is to get one that offers SFTP access and use that for sharing files (the downside of that is having to distribute the password to colleagues, so you could loose control of it if one of them is careless or thoughtless with it). It seems more and more document-type apps for iOS are supporting generic FTP and SFTP as well as the popular free online storage solutions.

Document Upload into Webdynpro and transfer to SAP R/3?

I have a requirement to offer a Document uploading option through Java webdynpro screen.

If we want to add Excel into Java webdynpro screen, then we are trying to create a table with invidual cells. This can be easily possible at Java Portal Perspective using Jakarta HSSF POI API.
But we require at Webdynpro so , we can use the Context feature available at Webdynpro to load the table. now we can load the table data into an excel and we can display it to end users in the form of Excel..
