Bidder role in SRM

Hi sappers,
I created one user ID as bidder ( not a registered vendor) in SRM (no-5555) in BBPMAININT.Contact person ID no-5556 is also maintained for the same.Same is created in Portal. Roles are assiened to this ID.And this bidder is added in live auction.Now when we log in with this user id to participate in live auction following error is coming.
"structure 01 US 6267 A208 : No agent found"
requesting to give solution or how to maintain exact relation between vendor & contact person.

Hi,
While creating business partner using "Manage Business Partners" link in SRM portal under Personal Data tab, the user data for employee is maintained and the Employee is the contact person check box need to be checked.
You can create another employee for the bidder / vendor by using "Employee for Business Partner" option using Manage Business Partners link in SRM portal.

Dear All,
We are using SRM 7.0 with Portal. We created a maintenance table in SRM. This table must be maintained from time to time by the key users. But they want to maintain in from Portal, not from SRM.
When i was using SRM 4.0, it was simple, i was creating a new role from PFCG and assigning the table to the role. Then i was be able to see and maintain it from web. But it is not that simple now in Portal side. Because i created a new role and assigned the table to that role in SRM, but nothing happened in Portal side.
Can anyone advise me the steps ? How am i going to show and maintain this table in portal ?

Querry regarding Roles in SRM

Hi Experts,
Can anyone tell me the creation of roles in SRM.
Currently we have role called Z_EBP_OPERA_PURCH_10000
which means the spend limit of that role is 10000 euros. This way we have multiple roles for different spend limits.
Now I have to create a new role with spending limit of 30000 euros. In this case can I copy the existing role i.e from the above one and name it as Z_EBP_OPERA_PURCH_30000. will this is going to work?
Or additionally do I have to do anything other settings in the system so that the new role works for 30000.
2 .Also creation of any new role is Job of whom SRM Functional consultant or will it be a job of Security and Administartion team.
Because what I feel is SRM functional consultant can only assign the roles which are there available in the search list and new roles has to be created by a S&A am I rt?
Please suggest me on the above 2 queries

Hi Sai,
1. The creation of the role should work, but don't forget to change the spending limit in the role.
2. The depends on the internal functionning. this is different for every project. Your analyse is not wrong but you should ask this question to some project managers.

Bidder Role for maintaining all contacts data

Hello SRM Gurus,
I need to know if there is role in SRM that would allow a contact "Suppleir Admin" to view and change the company data as well as the information of all other contacts with in that location.
I know that there is a role that would allow the supplier to change company data and request additional users. But, is there a way to give access to them for changing information of other contacts.
Please let me know what the role should be.

Transport of User Roles in SRM

We are using SRM 4.0 with 3 systems (Development, Quality, Production)
We have created roles where we use Authorization Limitations on
Purchasing Org. level. To limit this we need to enter the ObjectID of
the Purchasing Org. from the organizational structure (ppoma_bbp).
The problem is the the ObjectID is added to the purchasing org. in each
system when the organizational structure is created. So the ObjectID of
purchasing Org. XXXX is not the same on the development system, the
quality or the Production system.
So the authorization needs to maintained directly on each system.
Is there another way to do this?
Or is it possible use the name of the purchasing org. instead of the
ObjectID is the authorization?

this would be quite hard to achieve I assume. The org.Mngmnt. has a very complex data model - although you might be able to enter a name into the corresponding field (type string probably), there might be checks within the Org.Mngmnt. SRM Org.Mngmnt consists of BC/HR-(you could say)layers and on top of this SRM is built with its own logic. Let's assume that you will switch off/modify the checks in a way that you can maintain a name instead a number on Org.Mngmnt. -- you still have to check, whether your new value can be stored in all the tables holding the SRM transactional data. I think at this point you would run into hard problems...
Only option I see is to live with the 'wrong numbers' in the non-productive systems -- then, each time when this wrong value is passed into a backend document, you have to replace the Purch.Org.ID with correct for the corresponding backend in a BADI <filling the right values from a routing table>.
But there might be many pitfalls - eg. depending on the technical deployment scenario etc. etc. To be honest... I don't see this as a viable solution. Maybe somebody else has an idea.

Mapping SRM Portal roles with SRM backend roles

Using ABAP as UME when we create a user in SRM backend and assign backend roles, then corresponding portal roles should also get assigned to the
user so that portal roles are not to be assigned separately by portal admin.
Currently for the requirement I followed the following steps:
1. To SAPJSF user in SRM backend assigned roles SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATIONand SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO.
2. Created a RFC SPML of type 'G'.
3. Activated UME-SPML connection in SPRO.
4. Then in PFCG for the role personalization assigned PCD path of portalrole.
But I am not able to achieve the requirement through the aforesaid steps.

If you are using ABAP persistency for UME your ABAP roles should appear in the UME as groups. Just assign the portal roles you need to your ABAP roles/groups. Thats it,

Direct Posting to Contracts and Business roles in SRM

Hi guys,
We have SRM 7 and ECC 6.0.
Please consider the following business scenario:
Invoice creation in SRM against ERP contract that has been previously replicated to SRM;
No PO or GR involved in this process;
Possibility to have one contract to vendor A, and the corresponding invoices for different vendors.
Considering this we thought about the following solution:
Activate Direct Posting to Contracts functionality in ERP;
Contract, supplier and materials / services replication to SRM, through PI;
Allow different partners in the contract, using partner role “Invoicing party” (RS), so that it would be possible to post an invoice to vendor B, with reference to a contract with vendor A.
Questions:
Reporting – as far as I know it’s only possible to run analyses for vendors, which in our case would be vendor A, assigned to the contract. However, we will need to have information about the invoices posted to the other business partners that are assigned to that contract. Do you have any idea if there is any standard approach for this?
Contract and business roles replication to SRM – does the contract and the assigned business roles could be replicated to SRM or is it required any specific customizing in SRM for this to be possible?
Any help would be appreciated.

For direct posting to G/L in MIRO, follow the path:
SPRO > Materials Management > Logistics Invoice Verification > Incoming Invoice > Activate Direct Posting to G/L Accounts and Material Accounts > Here Activate "Dir.posting to G/L acct = active" and save.
MIRO - It will show additional Tab as "GL Account" along with "Reference"

We had lots of issues of basis, so expect issues if in implementation.

Customized Role in SRM

Hi ALL
I have a requirement from the client as below -
We have some PO's in R/3 4.6c with a specific document type ZDM which are basically Ariba PO's replicated into R/3 before making Ariba obsolete and switching on to SRM 5.0.
In SRM we need to do the confirmation from these ZDM PO's, ie we need to create a new role and assign it to the users who are responsible for the confirmation of these PO's (doc type ZDM) and not any other document types.
Currently we have a central goods recepient role who are able to goods receipt all PO's irrespective of the document type. To restrict some of the users to do a goods receipt of the document type ZDM we need to do some enhancements.
Any help on the approach how to solution this will be highly appreciated. Please do let me know if you need any other details or clarification.

Thank you for your reply. I had tried the transaction type, but when i try to create a new transaction type ZDM I am unable to find the number range which i need to assign as objects in the internal and external number range field.
In R/3 it is maintained as DM 690000000 to 699999999.

Difference between SECRETARY & EMPLOYEE Roles in SRM

The role /SAPSRM/SECRETARY is an additional function specific role similar to /SAPSRM/MANAGER for example. These function specific roles include only authorization for the specific topics needed for this function. Beside this roles all users will also need the /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE role to be assigned to them. This role contains all necessary authorizations for creating shoping cart und must be assigned to all employees who are intended to use the shopping cart functionality.

"Create Bidder" in SRM 701

Hi Experts,
I have created a new vendor organizational unit in PPOCV_BBP. While I create a bidder in the SRM 701 with the "Strategic Purchase Role" - I get the error "Organizational unit 00000000 does not exist; check your entries".
But I have given the Organizational unit number VG 50001308 in mandatory field "Central Organizational Object for Bidder:"
Could you please let me know what am I doing wrong?

You are implementing SRM 7.0 (or) it is a Upgrade
Normally the procedure is converting the Vendor to the Bidder.
You have created PPOCV_BBP. try to replicate the vendor from backend (ECC 6.0) thro t.code : bbpgetvd
you will get the vendor in PPOSV_BBP
1)Go to SRM administration tab in the portal
2)Click Create BP you will get the business partner POWL
3)check the vendor select the vendor
4)click create contact person button a new screen will open
give all the details,the vendor will get converted to Bidder

SRM LAC: Bidder

We have configured SRM LAC on SRM 700. I am able to Publish Auction .Purchaser is able to Launch Auction( click at Live auction Button)
When bidder click at Live auction Buttion system give message "You are not authorized to veiw this Auction". Bidder is give role /SAPSRM/BIDDER. User SAPJSF and JCOUSER are also given Bidder and Purchaser role.
