I have a major problem. I have an essay that I need to work on but my computer is acting all strange. A while ago my family decided to split up into accounts instead of just having one for all of us. Everything was going fine until this morning when no one was around, the computer must have fallen asleep. When we tried clicking around on the mouse nothing was happening, the screen was still black, but the computer was still on... So we decided to restart it by pressing the power button. When the computer started up, it had reverted back to the old state, when we only had one account for all of us. Right now it thinks it is version 10.2.8, but we installed Tiger a few months ago. This has happened before (that the computer goes back to the original state) and I believe all we did was restart it, then everything was normal again. I've done that quite a number of times and still no change - I can't access that essay or get the computer to be normal. If anyone has any advice or solution to this problem I would so greatly appreciate the help!

Try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone should reboot.

My Macbook aliminium unibody from late 2008 will not boot. I reach the grey screen with the apple icon and the spinning grey gear. I used disk utility to boot it but it said integrity test failed. I don't know what to do can anyone please help?
Sounds like you may have a harddrive issue. You are probably going to need to get that changed out and then install the OS X again to get it going.

Suggest you try very hard to remember that AppleID and passcode. Did you try the

It sounds like you are having trouble installing the iOS 8 update. I would start by restarting your iPhone:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
If you are still unable to update the phone, you can also update it with iTunes on your computer:
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch iOS software

Assuming you mean that you performed the repair yourself, it would seem that you either obtained a defective screen or you did some sort of damage when you replaced the screen. You can try asking for assistance on ifixit.com, a site dedicate to those attempting their own repairs, or you can take the iPad to a shop and pay them to try to correct the problem for you. Apple will no longer touch your iPad now that you've attempted your own repairs.

what are the steps in Apple Configurator iPad restore? It appears to me that Configurator repeats steps, but it probably is that I don't know what happens and when.
If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can get a clue to what it is, and potentially use it, by going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and clicking 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have, or don't want to use, your rescue email address (you won't be able to add/change it until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset (which will be by phone as they need to verify your id - we are fellow users here on these forums).
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add/change rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 . Or you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570 -

I have a big problem, I don't know what I touched but when I open up my iTunes I can't see all the icons. The only icons showing are "podcast, iTunes U and Downloads" so in other words I can't find the movies, music etc. Which means I can't buy/rent!

why can't i sign in in the apple store using my apple id? but from the itunes application in my computer which i downloaded, i can use my apple id to sign in...and while opening my apple store in my phone it appears blank..i don't know what happened?
