Funny you would mention "heroes" my co-workers actualy use a super hero name for me (NOT my idea).
But after seeing things I couldn't explain if my life depended on it (on this site) I am more contious of my limitations
I would definitely fall into the catagory of "knows his limitations and knows the tools to learn and solve problems" but I don't think my company knows the truth of it all.
Perhaps I should make some very public mistakes to remove the misconceptions my co-workers have.

Firefox is shutting my Big Fish games down since I updated to newest version.

I play a lot of games from Big Fish. Today I updated to the newest version of Firefox (4.0.1) and since I've done this, my games keeps glitching. For no reason, the screen goes through a spasm of stops and starts, shutting the game down but then brings up the game screen as if it's been paused. I can then resume game. I have restarted my computer, I have cleared out cookies, I have cleaned my cache. It still seems to be happening. It's not life threatening but it is a pain in the butt. Tonight it happened at least 6 times in 2 hours. Is there something I can do to correct this or, if not, can I go back to the older version? I switched to this version in hopes that Firefox would be faster. I have an iMac desktop that's new and has LOTS of space (a terra bite?)yet Firefox has been running slower and slower to the point of me switching to Opera. I prefer the Firefox layout and would use it if a)it got faster and b) it stopped crashing my games.

Big Fish Games stop working in Mavericks. What do I do? I have re-installed them and the manager app, and nothing. I have not gotten an answer from Big Fish tech staff. Thought the problem might be with Maverick. all the games worked with Snow Leopard

OS X Lion and Big Fish Games

I've upgraded my macbook to ox x lion and I'm having trouble with using Big Fish Games. The game manager keeps telling me I need to login in with an admin account, funny thing is my login is the admin account. Has anyone had this problem or one similar with a solution?

how do you delete and app like big fish? I did not want the game but the manager is still on my computer.....I want to delete it. Is their a way to do that. because it doesn't have an uninstall.

Firefox 22 and higher shows fonts too big or too small, sometimes on the same page. How to "fix" this annoying 'improvement"?

Since the update *every* website displays with the fonts too big or too small. On many websites, some of the fonts are too big and some are too small *on the same page*
This makes for a horrible browsing experience.
I've tried setting the layout.css.PixelsPerPx to a value of 1, but all it does is make most websites fonts too small, while leaving some websites fonts too large, with many web pages having fonts simultaneously too large and too small.
The old behavior was quite acceptable and I'd really like to restore the behavior to what it was. How can I do that? Or do i just switch to Chrome and be done with it?

This "fix" doesn't work. Hundreds of people are complaining about how their browser was broken by this "improvement". Why not address the real problem instead of telling users to apply a useless hack to fix a programming error?

My big fish and Norton tool bar will not work with fire fox 4

My Big Fish Tool Bar and my Norton Tool Bar will not work with firefox4. However they work fine on internet explorer

Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have indicated that for Norton 360 they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
I do not know about the time scale for updates for other Norton products. Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

When I updated/upgraded last it took away my Big Fish Games tool bar and WILL NOT reload it no matter what I do. How can I undo the last upgrade/date?

My original question says it all. I cannot get my Big Fish Games toolbar to reload. It will with internet explorer but not with your product's new upgrade. I wish to undo the upgrade to the earlier version so I can get my toolbar back.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

You should avoid using the same Firefox profile with different Firefox versions.<br />
If you currently do then create a new profile exclusively for the Firefox 4 version and create a desktop shortcut with -P "profile" appended to the target to launch that profile.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

This problem happens often and only with the Big Fish Game site. Sometimes it happens with the initial opening of the home page at other times it is when I am trying to navigate around the site. It is the only website that this happens.

I have contacted Big Fish games and tried all the suggestion still to no avail.....

If you "recently purchased Mavericks" without upgraded your hardware (MBP), then your MBP is still capable of running whichever flavor of OS X that you previously were able to run these 40% of Big Fish games.
In that case, partition your hard drive or add an external drive and install that flavor of OS X (Snow Leopard or Lion) there and "dual-boot" your MBP into the alternative OS X when you want to play those games using Startup Manager in the System Preferences before Restart.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
