Big problem installing... Please someone help :-(
Ok I started up the bootcamp assistant (with my windows xp disc already in the MacBook) and continued to partition the drive as shown on the video demonstration on the apple website. I believe I gave it 80gb for windows and the rest of the 250gb to the mac. I believe this was about 70gb. Now once the partitioning was done the windows installer automatically came up without me pressing anything. It went through a short installation process on a blue screen and came up with the option to choose a partition.
This is where I realised there was an issue. There was only one option present for the partitions. This partition was called partition 1 and had around 120gb all of which was available. I thought this didn't look correct so I quit out. A warning came up saying that the installation wasn't complete. Now when I start the mac is goes to a plane black screen. If I start it up holding the alt key it only displays one hard drive named windows.
I am now very worried all my stuff stored on the mac is is gone. Can someone please explain what I did wrong because I didn't format the drive or anything and so did not delete anything at all on the hard drive. I feel like everything should be there but I can't get into it. Putting in my os install disc didn't help at all. Please someone help!
I think its that its tried to install it on my initial partition for some reason. But like I said I did not even go far enough to choose a partition. It did some installation stuff on the blue screen without me pressing a single button. The minute it wanted me to pick a partition and then format it I realised there was something wrong and backed out. I have no idea why it is now coming up as windows. My main question really is: is there anyway to get it back to what it was? I would really appreciate any help on this matter as I feel a bit out of my depth
NOTE: I realise it was ridiculous of me to do it without first backing up all my data, however the video made it look fool-proof and also I only was planning at that point to create the partition first. But as soon as I created the partition the blue screen came up and it started to install. I pressed nothing at all at that point, and it didnt take very long so I couldnt see how it would delete all my data.

IMovie exporting problem! Please someone help, I have a deadline.
Hello, I've been having a problem with exporting my movie to my camera roll. I recently filmed a wedding video and started editing it on iMovie for iOS because i'm most comfortable with this program.
I edited the beginning and wanted to export the 3 min part to my camera roll so i could later add speeches to it. The loading keeps getting stuck at the same spot not even half way. I'm currently running the latest software iOS 7.1.1 on an iPad 3 32gb. I cleared some extra space which left me with 3.2 GB and I still experienced the stopped loading bar. I tried turning it off and on closing the app completely and it didn't help one bit. I'm not deleting it because I will have to start all over and my deadline is at the end of July. Someone Please Help! My support has expired from apple and $20 is way to much for a small problem like this. I would appreciate some help on "saving" this couples wedding video!You you can layer in the speeches, from audio or from another video without losing the background sound. You can also adjust the volume of the fore and background sound to get the right blend.
the instructions are a bit hard to follow, but I was able to layer a vocal only, from one video clip, over the another clip at the point I selected. I was also able to adjust the volume to balance the sound to my liking.

Add just the audio from a video clip
With your project open, scroll the timeline so that the playhead (the white vertical line) appears where you want to add the audio clip.If the playhead is resting over an existing clip, the new clip is added either before or after the existing clip, whichever is closest to the playhead.
Tap Video on the right above the timeline.All your video clips appear in the media library above.Note: If your iPad is in portrait orientation, first tap the Media Library button in the upper-right corner, then tap Video at the bottom of the media library.
In the media library, do any of the following:
To preview a clip before adding it to your project: Tap to select a clip, then tap the Play button .You can also swipe your finger left and right over a clip to manually preview it, which can help you identify exactly which part of the clip you want to use.
To sort clips by date: Tap the disclosure triangle at the top of the media library, then tap Oldest First or Newest First.
To show only unused or favorite clips: Tap the disclosure triangle at the top of the media library, then tap Favorites or Unused.If you want to mark a clip as a favorite, tap “Find more favorites” and follow the instructions in Review and share video clips.
In the media library, tap the video clip, then tap the More Options button .

ZEN MICRO FIRMWARE DOWNLOAD PROBLEM! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!
I've had my 6gb micro for a little over 2 wks..and i wanted to download the free 30 day Napster to go offer that came with my package..and one of the steps before downloading Napster was updating Zen Micro's firmware..well i tried and it downloaded and after it asked me to select my language, i got a message saying: "your player's not connected, please connect your player" and my mp3 was hooked up through the USB..so i tried reconnecting and it still said the same...so at this time i skipped over updating this firmware and downloaded my subscription to Napster anyway...everything was working fine..i was downloading songs in Napster and syncing them with windows media player 0 which i already had on my comp...but about 5 days ago, my syncs began to start failing often...and I'm sure that i need these firmware updates for my mp3 to transfer files successfully but the problem is that my mp3 is not being recognized every time i try to install these firmware updates.... I'm quite stumped at this point.....DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY HELP THEY CAN OFFER ME.. ID GREATLY APPRECIATE IT by the way the firmware version that came with my player and is currently on it is 2.20.05
The firmware version you have is fine for Napster tracks, so you don't need to update. If your transfers are failing, there's something else going on.

Big problem! Can someone help me?
I was using software update yesterday, and the computer crashed during installation of the update. I started the computer again, and since then, nothing is mounting to the desktop, and the finder won't open. The dock is still there, and most apps still seem to be working... Safari, iPhoto, etc. No external hard drives will mount, so I don't have any way to back up my photos, or anything else on the computer. I had just bought an external firewire drive to use with Time Machine, but hadn't gotten it set up yet, so nothing is backed up... (read: I'm an idiot). I can't access the Mac HD either.
Is there a repair utility for the desktop and/or finder?
I can view my photos, but the computer says nothing that can burn a disk is attached... including the internal combo drive. Is there some other way to get the data off of the computer so I can re-install Leopard? Shared folder? Terminal mode?
Any help would be REALLY appreciated. All my kid's pics are on here, as well as my iTunes library, contacts, and about a gazillion documents I want to keep.

This is on an iMac G5 running Leopard by the way.Lack of access to devices sounds like a permissions issue. You don't state what updates were applying when it crashed. Major update (10.5.2) or smaller ones? If it was 10.5.2, then get online with Safari and download the combo updater and reapply it (you stated Safari was still working).
You could also try booting to your Leopard disk and running Disk util from there. Repair permissions and the disk if you are able to. If that fails you can force a repair from single user mode, though Apple do not recommend this.
Try the above and post an update if you still need more help. None of the above should effect data on the machine. As with any update or repair operation though, you may experience issues. -

I suffer same. AppleCare can't seem to solve the problem. I did a restore from backup. Then I did a restore as new phone (virgin). Then I did a restore as a new device and then backed up from a stored backup (which does not replace media). To no avail. Some days it works fine, and on others it's extremely bothersome. The major symptoms:
1. It can take 5+ seconds to delete a photo.
2. It can take 10+ seconds for the camera app to activate. In many instances, the moment is long gone.
3. Switching from camera to video can take 5+ seconds.
4. Saving a photo that's been optimized in iOS 5 can take 30 seconds. Absurd.
Note that Photos and Camera aren't the only affected applications. What'sApp can have the same issues on occasion. Voice Memos don't respond like they should, either. I suspect that there's some behind-the-scenes operations with network feed to which iOS gives its full attention (contrary to the UX getting full attention is is historically the case). This makes the user interface painfully slow at times — and, as most of us here would agree — painfully annoying. This might have to do with changes designed around iCloud, but I'm not even (yet) using it.
The bottom line is that what used to be a quick, pretty good phone camera is now totally lackluster and unreliable for fast shots. Sometimes I think Apple spends too much time worrying about form and not enough about function. -
hey iphone an iphone 3g and i only have about 13 apps and the yellow bar on itunes for my phone is way to big i deleted all my photos all my music every thing i ryed restoring ans all it still takes up space for sum reason ?? please someone help me
If Other (the yellow bar) is too big something is corrupted. The only solution (that I know of) is to restore from your most recent backup using iTunes (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766).

my itunes has gotten error 7 (windows error 14001) itunes wont even open it just says itunes was not installed correctly. someone help please
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) (not for XP) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Ok one day out of the blue my ipod just stopped working it wouldnt turn on nothing but after recovering it, it's fine now but there is only one problem my screen wont work i can't do anything on it not even unlock it please someone help!!!!
Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order -

Mic wont work please someone help!
I've Creative Webcam Live Pro, and my mic wont work. I used the installation CD(webcam CD), and I tried plugging the outlet in the mic slot, and line in slot, but it still wont work. I went to the sound recording program that is installed in the XP, and it wont work. Please someone help I need to make it work.
Make sure you plug the microphone into the mic jack on your sound card.
Depending on what audio card you have, you will need to set the recording source to microphone in the audio settings. (Start, Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Volume Control, Options, Properties, Select Recording Source.) You might also selecting Mic Boost if there is an option.
Once the Mic is selected as the recording source, change back to playback (Volume Control, Options, Properties, Playback Control) and for now, make sure the microphone setting is not muted. Once that is done, try talking into the microphone to see if you can hear yourself over your speakers. If you can, then it's all set. If not, contact the company who makes your Sound card and verify the settings for enabling your microphone and specifically, what types of microphone and what range will work best (ex 600 ohmz) -

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

You do know where the project is, don't you? Select the project in the finder and get info for thr project. How big is the file.

You do have the media on separate drive, don't you? If yes, unmount the drive with the application closed. Drag it to the trash. Trash your preferences. Launch the application. Reset the scratch disk if you have to. Open the project. What happens? -
i updated my phone to ios7 normally through the settings and everything was fine untill i was installing it and it asked me to go to itunes so i did and downloaded it again and installed it again and its working its all upadted but it said my phone cant be activated because it cant reach the activation server? i connected it to itunes again and it still didnt work it said the same thing now and now it sent me here please someone help?
Apple's activation servers are probably very busy. You may want to wait for a little while before trying again.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!
