Big problem; Need to know if it's possible to recover my iTunes library

Well, I just recently got an iPod and started using iTunes. I didn't really have a huge library but I had recently purchased around 50 songs. My hard drive crashed on me a few days ago and I wasn't able to recover anything from it because it was unable to be read by any computer I hooked it up to.
So basically, my iTunes and everything is gone now and I hadn't yet backed it up (was planning to do that this weekend once I purchased a couple more songs), and I was just wondering if there's any way for me to recover my library and songs that I had. (at least maybe my purchased ones?)

Sure, in itunes 7 and later, you can transfer purchases from an iPod back to a PC after that PC has been authorized for itunes.

Problem with implementing that logic in a calculated column is that the value only updates when the row is modified. What you might want to do is have the logic to update the value based on your calculation as part of a timer job, that runs and updates the
value on a schedule asynchronously in the list for existing items. Sorry the solution isn't OOTB but a better way to do this.

I need to know if it is possible to...

I bought a new computer...
and i am NOT creating a home network between the two...
It is possible for me to have internet on both computers at the same time to accomplish the following objective, but the internet on my orignal computer will not be permanent.
I need to know if it is possible to transfer my entire iTunes library exactly as is from one computer to another...
either by internet, or by transfering by DVDs or anything.
Again this has to be more than sharing, it has to be a complete transfer as the internet on the computer with iTunes already set up is not permanent.
If anyone could help me i would be extremely grateful
The original computer is a an HP pavilion PC, the second computer is a Notebook HP pavilion.

You can burn data CD's or DVD's of the content of your library, use those data discs to make the transfer to the second system. If all of the content is on an iPod, you can use your iPod to make the tranfer. see the following. Post back if you have any questions.

I just purchased a new PC. I have itunes set up on my old PC. How can I bring iTunes into my new pc? Do I need to start with installing/downloading iTunes and then transfer over the libraries?

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
If you have an iOS device that syncs with contact & calendar data on your computer you should migrate this information too. If that isn't possible create a dummy entry of each type in your new profile and iTunes should offer to merge the existing data from the device into the computer, otherwise the danger is that it will wipe the information from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

Need to know if this is possible...

It has been a while since I've worked in Java, so I'm not even sure what I'm wanting to do is possible. The basic principle behind what I'm trying to do is a print queue, here are the specifics:
1> Files in either PDF or .xlsx should be loaded into a folder called DailyPrint on a network drive. (We'll call it's path Z:\Invoices\Dailyprint)
2> at the end of the day someone in the office who is not tech savvy needs to be able to print 3 copies of every file in the folder.
3> The paper in the tray is loaded in the following color scheme : White, Yellow, Red (3 part invoice paper)
4> The print job needs to print out the files in the following order so that we get a white, yellow and red copy of each file: 0001.pdf (first copy); 0001.pdf (second copy); 0001.pdf (third copy); 0002.pdf (first copy); etc; etc.
5> The printer that these will print to is a network printer, not hooked to any particular station.
The following information is static, and would have no reason to let people change it:
The printer to be used
The paper tray to be used
The path to the Folder
The number of copies (hard coded to 3)
The order in which the files/copies are printed
I know that printing from PDFs has been called difficult in other discussions, and I know that I would probably have to use a DocFlavor line to make sure that it printed them correctly, but I need to know if what I am trying to do on this project is possible or if I'm going in a completely wrong direction. Any help would be appreciated.

The biggest concern for us is the batch aspect, due to the fact this is not a dedicated printer, so it is better for us to tie it up for 20 minutes at the end of the day rather than constantly put 3-part paper into the printer for each invoice. We only have one computer with the full Adobe Acrobat, the rest have Microsoft's "Save as PDF" plug-in for Excel/Word, so we can make each file into a PDF but at the end of the day when we want to batch print all of the invoices for the day we could only come up with 3 possible senarios:
1> Stop producing invoices 1 hour before end of day, and have one user go into the "dailyprint" folder from the computer with Acrobat, compile all of the individual PDFs into one massive PDF and then do a group print of three copies.
2> Stop producing invoices 1 hour before end of day, separate the invoices into several groups and have the 3 people in our department (it's a very small office, I'm both the technical lead and an underwriting assistant.) print them out, doing three copies of each (and hoping that someone doesn't forget to change the "copies" setting to 3)
3> Write a program or find a program that would allow us to batch print 3 grouped copies of each file in the "dailyprint" folder.
Because I used to program a lot in Java I figured I would look into #3 and see if it would be a time saver or if option #1 would be better. I think our next biggest concern would be to make sure that it printed to the correct printer, which is why I was wondering about hardcoding the specific printer in the program. After looking through the Print Service API guide and seeing people's responses it does look like a program would be possible, but hard coding the printer, or even giving a drop down box to select which printer, is going to be the hard part of this whole thing.

Does anyone know about a company that will hold an itunes library.

Help ! Relationship with significant other has gone south. I would like to get his itunes library off of my computer and put put in somewhere he can access it on a regular. Does anyone know of a company that will hold his library ? I don't want to be evil but 5000 songs is alot to lose

I don't know of any such facility (although someone else may), but can't you burn all these songs to a few CDs or better still to a few DVDs (they hold much more info) and give them to him?
He then has a permanent back up and you get to delete all of them from your computer.
Not a viable solution?

Delivery problems BIG problems Need help

I am a very good customer and for the first time I went online to purchase items I put the following shipping address Exp: SE 28 St MA 44401 It was a mistake it was suppose to be SE 28 Av Now the address show SE 28 st 44416, yes I put 28St instead of 28av, but I never put 44416 Now while the package still in transit, I called UPS to ask them to reroute the package the answer: Best Buy needs to do that, I asked Why? Reason an extra $10.00 will be charge to the shipper and we need there permission. After over 5 hours of emails and aggravations no ones want to help at Best Buy online. I offer to pay for the mistake and it's not even an option. To top it off , if I never receive the packages I loose everything!!! This is unbelievable, frustrating and makes a very good client mad..... very mad. It takes only one call from Best Buy to reroute these items. Instead they choose not to call even if I pay the extra charges. How's that possible !?!?!?!?!? Please is there someone there to help If there is anyone at Best Buy reading this message please do something about it, Yes it is a mistake a small one and 5 minutes of your time would correct everything. We are running out of time delivery dates in 2 days. And if someone else can help me to post this at the proper place Please let me know.

More than likely, the package will go back to BB. Hopefully, they will contact you for the correct adddress. If you don't get your package, you may need to cancel the charges on your credit card.

Big problems need help fast

i have a k8n neo platinum edition, nvidia nforce3 250gb chipset mobo. recently i was playing on my computer then out of no where it just shuts off. went to try to turn it back on and the computer fans spun for less then a second then went off and nothing else happened. i assumed immediately that it was probally a bad psu so i bought a new one, and i still have the same problem. ive taken everything but the graphics card,processor, and psu out and it still wont work. i get no post or anything and the fans on the out side are the ownly things that react to me hitting the power button. i have no clue what else to try or do. i really need to get on it for work very soon. also i built this computer 2 or 3 years ago and havent had a problem till now.

URGENT BIG PROBLEM NEEDING EXPERT!

I recently bought a ipod mini 4gen 4gb, and when i received It I onlu had a Windows ME computer, when i received it it wasnt charged so I pluged it in my windows ME computer and a screen came up asking me to reformate drive, not paying attention I did. Now every time I open Ipod a file icon with an exclamation make apeared then the ipod shuts down. I asked arround and people said that I need to restore it, So i went to a windows XP computer, installed the software and restored it,
when it was done being restored it asked me to plug it into the portable firewire. Now every time i open my ipod, instead of having the file icon with a exclamation mark theres a picture of a wall plug, and an arrow to show something being plugged, someone told me it was portatif firewire, which wasnt included in the ipod.
I tried calling tech support but since i bought ipod on ebay the warranty was over and its 59$ for a question
please help me this is pretty bad and I can only access windows XP computer on weekends so please help me before weeken ends!

The first generation mini came supplied with a power adapter as standard. One of the reasons it did, was that when you restore the iPod's software via a usb connection, then you need to plug the iPod into a wall outlet via the adapter to complete the process. Hence the picture you are seeing on the iPod's screen.
There is no way around this.
Perhaps you should contact the seller and ask why it was sold without the charger?
And btw, it's not a 4th gen as you incorrectly stated in your OP.

Week Old MacBook, Big Problem need help fast!!

Well im on my Macbook tonight and i get a message about a new softwhare update so i go ahead and instal it. Then it tells me to restart my comp so i do and as it boots up my screan goes blue and nothing happens. Its just blue. I shut it down and restart it and same thing only this time its goes from blue to a black screan. And jsut my luck its 11:30 at night so i cant call mac. Im pretty peturbed that this would happen to a less than a week old Macbook. Please help me. THanks

New to Java -- Need to know if something is possible

We have an application in which some complex calculations are being done in MatLab. In order to speed things up, we are converting it to C/C++. But there is also a GUI in the MatLab code. This is all to run on Windows.
We will eventually (2 - 4 months from now, after it has been successfully converted and running) need to also port it to Linux. I am thinking that I would like to write the GUI portion in Java, so that it can be easily transferred from Windows to Linux.
There is also an "embedded" portion running in C/C++. This must remain in C++ in because it is a real-time application where literally each microsecond will matter, Java will be too slow. In addition, some of the calculations will run on a parallel processing board, and the COTS libaries that support running on the card are C/C++ libraries.
So, what I want is, to make a Java GUI that I can move from Windows to Linux, and in this GUI, each of the callbacks will then do nothing but call a C++ routine. I need the C++ routine to run completely independent of the Java Virtual Machine, to preserve the speed of the C++ library.
My questions:
If I write the GUI in Java, and have separate libraries/fucntions in C/C++ that are compiled for both Windows and Linux, can the Java GUI call these, and will they run as fast as they would in a normal C++ app? Or will it be slowed down by the JVM, and run at "interpreter speed"?
How do you call the C++ code from inside a Java interpreter? Do we compile it all in a dll, and the dll is called from Java? Do we make a C++ library, and that can be called from the Java GUI? Or is there something else. This must have been done many times, does anybody have any suggestions or experience to get me going. I think I can glom together a simple Java GUI ( I produced some Java programs several years ago), and I can get the C++ libraries going, it is connecting them that I could use some guidance.

Need to know if it is possible to change the output print option in the deskjet 2545

The printer prints upside down ie when printing multiple sheets the last page is printed first and the first page last.We then need to again manually sort the order.My HP laserjet 9050 has the same issue if used without the sorter.Is there a solution for the same?

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I gather you would like to learn how to reverse the print order when sending a multiple page documents to your Deskjet 2545 Ink Advantage printer.
I have included a document on print settings using Windows 8. In the section titled "Change print settings from the Windows 8 Desktop" there is a sub-section titled "Understanding Desktop print settings". It explains the various options available and one of them is the page order of the print job.
You mentioned that you have a Laserjet 9050. That is a commercial product so to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums. You can do this at the link below.

I need to know how i sync my iphone 4s with itunes when i already have my ipod touch synced to it??

my ipod touch is already synced to my itunes. i want to sync my iphone 4s. when i plug it in it says there is already an ios device synced to this computer, do you want to 1. set up as new phone or 2. restore from the back up of my ipod....what do i do? and will this effecy my ipod??

What itunes is asking is would you like to import the files and settings of your ipod to your iphone? It'll import things like contacts, calendar, mail, apps with app data. If you want your phone set up just like your ipod then use that option. Otherwise pick "set up as a new device" and it'll allow you to keep the two seperate and you will be able to sync them both to your itunes independently of each other.
