BIG  problem running outside plug-ins

after dropping plugins in the folder they belong, they do not show up in my inserts menu. they are AU plug-ins and SHOULD work however, no plug ins i own will work. this becomes very frustrating when i spend money on software and my logic doesn't recognize it. what could the issu be?

yes. i got everything all installed and dropped the
.component file where it belongs. they are actual AU
plug ins that should show up in my drop down menu
after being dropped in their compopnent folder. and
my computer is intel based. i'm sure it's something
im doing wrong i just need help finding it.
agh
Hi.
The AU plugins HAVE TO BE INTEL COMPATIBLE.There is no way around that.
Check with the makers of your plugins and download the correct versions. They should say "Universal Binary".
Cheers

  • Problem with spectrasonic plug-ins

Since I have updated my old Lacie FW Drive to a new bigger one, I get the following error message from my spectrasonics plug-ins when starting up my project:
    The UVI-engine reported an error...
    Could not change preset
    Error ID -1409
    Error ID -1409
Then when I click on a spectrasonics plug-in, logic crashes. Strangely enough, when I open a new spectrasonics plug-in, it works fine.
The problem is, that I can't see which preset I used, otherwise I could open a new instant and set it to the correct preset.
This is how I updated my drive:
I mirrored the old drive to the new one with Chronosync.
I've made new aliases to the spectrasonis .dat files.
I hope someone can help me...
    Jules

Either permissions (of dat files or other assctd), authorization conflicts, or preferences (of the plugin itself).

  • Problem loading Topaz plug-ins in PS6.

When plug-in loaded subsequent plug-ins added but prior plug-in removed. Is there a fix for this?

I ussed to have that problem until I used this advice from Stephanie Griffin of Topaz Labs.  [This assumes you are using Windows and not Apple]
    For Windows:
Please go to your preferences menu in Photoshop and select Plug-ins. Check / enable the Additional Plug-ins Folder option then click Choose. After that, please navigate to: C: \ Program Files* and select the Topaz Labs folder. Then click Choose  (or it may say Save / OK) to save this back to Photoshop. Back in Photoshop click OK to save your changes, then restart Photoshop. Once Photoshop opens, go to your Filter menu and you should be able to access Topaz.

  • Aperture 3 problem with export plug-ins in 32-bit mode

I have a number of export plug-ins for Aperture, the ones I use most often being flickr export and BorderFX. I restarted my laptop in safe mode to get access to the 32-bit checkbox in the Aperture info screen, and now my Aperture defaults to 32-bit when it opens. That's all well and good. However, my plug-ins still do not work. If I select BorderFX, the usual box does not pop up. The export plug-ins are then grayed out, and when I go to quit Aperture, I get the following dialog box:
"Aperture is currently exporting files. If you quit, the export task will be canceled."
If I select flickr export, the screen pops up, but then hangs on flickr authentication.
    Any ideas?

Bumping in a desperate attempt for some answers.

  • Mountain Lion problems with Logic Plug-Ins

I have just installed the new Mountain Lion, and now my Logic Pro 9 cannot create any more audio or software instrument tracks. I think it has messed up the plug-ins. What should I do to restore my original Logic Pro 9?

  • Problems with InDesign Plug-ins in CS6

Every time I launch InDesign CS6 a bunch of pop-up boxes appears. They all have to do with some plug-ins it cannot register. I think this causes the sudden shut down of the program when I want to pick a different color.?
Anybody knows how to fix this?
These are the plug-ins it concerns:
    Color Picker Panel plug-in
    Swatches Panel plug-in
    Transparency UI plug-in
    Find and Change Panel plug-in
I am certain that the plug-ins are in the right folders, however it does not work...
    Thanx

See Replace Your Preferences and if that doesn't do it, see Adobe Forums: InDesign crashes at startup for a list of other things to delete from the original account.
When all else fails, rename the Adobe folders in your user library (remmber, there are TWO folders, anf they're hidden, so see Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 Lion) and copy the ones from the guest account.

  • Problem running outside netbeans

Part of my application uses the poi project to extract text from a word doc file, this works fine when running from within netbeans, but as soon as i run it from outside, like from the command line, it crashes. I was wondering if anyone knew any common problems it could be for me to try as i can't seem to find the issue here....

No i dont think that's my problem, classpath contains all relevant jars etc, I've had it up and running fine previously but now when it runs it basically just freezes my computer and needs to be closed from the task manager(sorry don't know the proper term hence my general 'crash' description), so I'm not getting any clues from error messages and the like, but being a bit inexperienced I just wondered if there were any other obvious problems that would cause this that i can look at

  • Problems with RAW & Plug-ins

Just installed Photoshop CS6 Extended and it won't open RAW files from my Nikon D4, D700 okay. Also, installed NIK software in Plug-in Preferences and they appear there, but not accessible through Filters. Tried a re-install but no change.

  • I can't get all my Flaming Pear plug-ins to install in Photoshop CS6 on Mountain Lion.  Can anyone help me?  I also get crashes on the ones that did install.  Whats the problem?

I cannot get all the Flaming Pear plug-ins to work.  I have dragged them into my Photoshop CS6 plug-ins folder but they do not show up under "filters".  Also among the ones that do show up and that do work, I am having crashing problems.  I chatted with Adobe (they do not answer their phone) and they said "You cannot use any plug-ins with Photoshop-uninstall them right away".  When I said, "Then what's the use of Photoshop?" the guy ended my chat session!?!?!?!
Flaming Pear does not reply.  What is the problem with the plug-ins?

    Kreplach,
    Open CS6 > Preferences > Plug-ins
in the preferences menu > select plugins on the left column > and check the box additional plugins folder
choose > location of a plugins folder (make one or use the mounted volume of the dmg I downloaded from pear site)
You need to close Photoshop CS6 and reopen it for the plugin to load:

  • Acrobat retains plug-ins after deletion

I have installed Acrobat Pro 8.1 and added upgrades for 8.1.1 and 8.1.2.
This is with Vista Home Premium.
I added some plug-ins eg pitstop and then uninstalled them. They are not in the plug-ins directory or on any drive, however Acrobat still has them working?
I also have a problem when I click help, I get no drop down and the program stops working?

    For info! Problem solved.
I have found the api Using advanced search method and ticking the box "Include non-indexed, hidden and system files" option.
    It found
    C:\Users\Ian\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\plug_ins\...
Now I do have a virtual machine loaded to run XP programs that fail in vista I must have once had acrobat on it with these plug-ins then I removed acrobat, so now when I look at it I see no acrobat and think it is clean, but there it is! Even now if I look at c:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\plug_ins in the XP virtual machine I see nothing infact there is no Acrobat 8 at all, but this file remains!
So If I go to vista, as me, delete that file when acrobat runs the plug-ins have gone.

  • FxFactory and NewBlue plug-ins are crashing in latest PP 2014 Update

Anyone else having a problem with their plug-ins after updating PP 2014. FxFactory and NewBlue are either crashing my system or I am getting strange digital
artifacting in my program window. Also my 4K footage is not playing any better w this latest update. Love the new interface and features but frustrated at all the bugs
and my 4k is not playing any smoother.

hello Danagriz, unfortunately the plugin check page lags behind. adobe has released a critical patch for a vulnerability in its flash plugin, which is reportedly already exploited in the wild. therefore firefox will block insecure versions from running by default on websites for your protection.
    https://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/flash-player/apsb14-27.html https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/blocked/p794
please update to Adobe Flash Player version 16.0.0.235 as soon as possible, which you can download from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html (use the windows-exe for plugin-based browsers).
in order to update java, go to java.com (or if you don't need the plugin you can also uninstall it though the windows control panel)

  • Why does this keep popping up five tabs at a time: Index of file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/ - please note that I recently updated firefox and tried disabling plug-ins, etc. My virus software is up to date. Thanks.

The page listed above pops up in a Firefox browser window with five tabs open usually when checking email but sometimes while surfing the net and repeatedly. Some include a 'problem loading page' notice with the following:
Firefox can't find the server at www.xn---jca9qmb.com.
    or
Firefox can't find the server at www.xn--dx%if-61a864d.com.
These are the last two of the five tabs that pop up together.
This has happened nine times in the past five to ten minutes.
Since my Norton is up to date and I have recently updated Firefox and plug-ins, I assume this is a software problem however disabling plug-ins and other items has not solved the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi
YES it does, HOWEVER in the past Most (not all) Beta auto updates did not trigger Comodo Firewall problem (BUT occasionally did) and I resolved the same way (namely uninstalling and installing a full install.
I do not know if having Aurora AND BETA both installed causes any conflicts regarding this issue
I am NOW going to uninstall Maintenance service, Beta and Aurora retaining only my add-on and preferences. I will delete all Comodo rules for them Then I will download an older update of both Beta and Aurora and see what happens
Will report back in 30 mins

  • Cannot find "Plug-ins" folder for Photoshop CS6 on my Mac.

I cannot find ”Plug-ins" folder for Photoshop CS6 on my Mac. Path suppose to be Macintosh HD > Applications
> Adobe Photoshop CS6 > Plug-Ins but that folder is missing. Any suggestion on how to find it?

    Thank you Hans,
If I understand it correctly, way to install extensions/plugins on Mac is
    following
"Quit Photoshop, then copy the desired plug-ins (or extensions) to the
    following locations:
    Mac OS:
       - Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC/Plug-ins folder
       - Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Plug-ins folder"
In my case it would be the last path, as I have CS6.
However, my problem is that Plug-ins folder is missing
