Big problem to solve!!!!!!!!1 Secure id Login

Hi
Here we are moving to single sign-on and all the web applications getting moved to use single sign-on, at present we are using Oracle10g/forms 9i suite of services running via oracle appserver, The requirement is user has to sign using secure id token and when he enters the id/secure id token then oracle forms has to validate that information and process if everything is okay then he will be able to use the forms screen.
Here are problems
(1) How to authenticate the secure id token/pin combination
(2) How oracle forms knows the pin it will be changing every few mins
People who are using secure id will know this sort of application where they use on unix servers etc, Now in our organization they want to use across all the application.
Please help any documentation anything is helpful.
Can I develop some ie java script page that will do validation of single sign on (I'm guessing do not have total solution yet) and call Oracle forms url if the validation goes thru?
Any ideas we are using RSA Secure ID and need help on this.
Thanks
Murthy

Here they are using sso via cookeis for all jsp application and any other web related one's and they told us also to move our forms application to single sign-on via cookies, If I use cookies that what they want us to use then I have to hard code the username/password and connect string, How do the users login to the form, This is production env and they do not want to hard code any thing for audit/security purpose,
I told them about single sign on via internet directory after going thru the links as suggested and I'm still waiting feed back from the group who will give the guide lines specific to oracle forms.
It is kind of becoming complex, if I have to use via cookies, If the user cookie is present then there should not be any authentication from forms side and user should be able to directly go forms screen but how do I pass the all the user/password@connect string info?
This is the problem I'm facing right now.
If I go via single sign-on using Oracle internet directory does it show that single sign-on screen I also want to avoid that as the user wants thru their own properitery login screen to via cookie to directly into forms screen for same UI across the organization.
Thanks for the help.
Murthy

  • HT6195 Big problem with the last security update, how can I solve the problem?

    Yesterday I installed the last system update in my secondary computer, a Macbook Pro (OS 10.8.5, if I remember well), from that moment is impossible to restart it. How can I solve the problem?
    Today Apple is worst than Windows, but is considerably more expensive! I am seriously considering to change to Windows, in less than 3 months I had serious problems with two Apple computers and I changed 4 computers (always Apple) in less than 6 years.

    tmjavier,
    feel free to use whichever operating system best suits your needs. Since this is a user-to-user forum, whether you use OS X or Windows will affect no one’s bottom line here.
    Regarding your MacBook Pro, you can try booting it into Recovery mode by holding down a Command key and the R key as it starts up. Once the  OS X Utilities menu appears, select Disk Utility. On the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window, select your internal disk’s boot partition (typically called “Macintosh HD”). On the right-hand side, press the Verify Disk button if it’s not greyed out; if it is greyed out, or if it reports that errors were found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu to restart in normal mode. Is it able to reach the login screen now?

  • Big problem - all files lost due to login error!

    Hi,
    I recently installed Leopard, and I enabled the Guest account in System Preferences. Yesterday, I booted up my Macbook, and accidently logged in as Guest (instead of as myself). Instead of displaying the Guest's desktop, OS X seemed to crash, and, after a while, the Login-window reappeared.
    I then just logged in as myself, and everything seemed all right.
    I worked for a couple of hours, and I wanted to log out, but I got the warning that I was logged in as a Guest and that all files in my home directory would be deleted. I was, however, not logged in as guest. I stupidly clicked ok, and logged out.
    An hour or so later, I logged in again, only to discover that all my files were gone! That is: not only the guest account, but also the administrator account was completely wiped out!
    Luckily I could use Time Machine to restore a backup quite easily, but I was quite scared!
    I think this is a serious bug, and just wanted to let you know to take care when enabling the Guest account.

    You is using a DBLINK and that username/password is incorrect.
    if you don't know what DBLINK is using, you can query the DBA_DB_LINKS:
    SQL> desc dba_db_links;
    Name                                      Null?    Type
    OWNER                                     NOT NULL VARCHAR2(30)
    DB_LINK                                   NOT NULL VARCHAR2(128)
    USERNAME                                           VARCHAR2(30)
    HOST                                               VARCHAR2(2000)
    CREATED                                   NOT NULL DATE
    after that you need recreate it:
    conn / as sysdba
    create public database link <TARGET_DB_NAME> using '<TARGET_DB_NAME>';
    conn strmadmin/strmadmin@<SOURCE_DB_NAME>
    create database link <TARGET_DB_NAME> connect to strmadmin identified by strmadmin;

            <to-view-id>/confirmacaoreserva.jsp</to-view-id>
        </navigation-case>
    </navigation-rule>it completely by-passes the web container authentication and redirects me to the
    protected page (+confirmacaoreserva+) without asking me first to authenticate in
    the login page. Of course this is unacceptable.
    So, how can I solve this? How do I fix this problem?
    Thank you.

    Hi everybody, I am in Turkey on a long assignment, I need help solving a big problem on my macbook pro os 10.9.3. The other week my wife visited some website and now we have a redirect virus of some sort, and every other time when we click on a link or anywhere on the page we are redirected to this casino web site, https://casino.7bets10.com/tr/?from=hy9yKXD43jSC-8Oxbw4femNd7ZgqdRLk-dHJpeG9uaXR l. Its the same whether on Chrome or Safari. Does anyone have a solution, thank you!

    1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
    Don't be put off merely by the seeming complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
    2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
    There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
    3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the behest of a stranger. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
    Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
    Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
    Paste into the window of another application.
    Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
    Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
    The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
    4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
    5. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
    6. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.
    Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

    Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
    Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
    8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
    exec bash
    and press return. Then paste the script again.
    9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
    If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
    10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
    [Process completed]
    to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
    11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
    At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start Time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
    If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
    12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
    Note: This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak only for themselves, and I don't necessarily agree with them.

  • Oracle 9I JAAS problem: javax.security.auth.login.LoginException

    I have problem with Oracle 9IAS JAAS. I got "javax.security.auth.login.LoginException: unable to find LoginModule class" no matter where I put the classfile, either on JVM options(-cp), WAR file, or add it on the Web Admin, or manually edit 9iAS's configuration file.
    None works, any one can help, I am using JDK1.3
    I had the same problem on Tomcat, but I solved the problem by put the Class in the the JVM's classpath. But for 9iAS, it just ain't work.
    Thank you for the help

    Bet you have solved this, but
    the right place for jaas related stuff is
    as installed extension i.e:
    jre/lib/ext
    where jaas.jar and jars containing login modules should be located.

  • Need to solve serious security problem with Oracle Reports URL

    As mentioned repeatedly on this forum, Oracle Reports allows serious security breaches that allow users to see reports that they did not generate -- it's easy to guess a legal URL by changing the getjobid parameter.
    I've reviewed the JavaDocs to part of the rwrun.jar file and reviewed some of the example report plugins. This shows promise in helping to solve this security problem but critical pieces are missing.
    1) The javadocs are accurate for only 10g (9.0.4) but not correct for 10g (10.1.2+), which we are currently using. I need access to the updated version of this javadoc.
    2) Even with the updated version of the JavaDoc, I haven't found a class from which to inherit that would give me the opportunity to generate random jobid values, which then would effectively prevent users from guessing other jobid values, and thereby gaining access to other's reports (which in our cases, may contain sensitive information.
    3) We have found that we can send the parameter=value of EXPIRATION=1 which helps protect such information, but this requires that every program which invokes a report be modified to add this parameter. It would be far better for the report server to be configured to use a java class we write that inherits from some rwrun.jar class that would by default, add the EXPIRATION=1 parameter.

    Hi,
    Thanks for our replies. I will ask to an administrator about this security problem, now I know it depends of a security parameter.
    But I would know if it could be possible to hide the technical name of the query in the url. It could improve the security level of our reports in a first time in this way.
    Thanks a lot,
    JW.

    The results show that you have a proxy server set and this can often cause problems with iTunes.
    The proxy setting can be accessed in Internet options>>Connections>>LAN Settings.
    Try un-checking the proxy server check box.
    It might also be a good idea to run a malware check if you didn't know you had the proxy server set.
    You can download a free version of an excellent scanner- Malwarebytes here:

    You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • Heap Problem with weblogic.security.auth.login.PasswordCredential

    Hello,
    I am calling EJB's from a Tomcat 6.0.20. The EJB's are contained on a Weblogic 10 mp2. For getting EJBHome, I'm using the following InitialContext-Call:
    EJBHome home = null;
    try
    Properties initialContextProperties = new Properties();
    initialContextProps.put(InitialContext.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, initialContextFactory);
    initialContextProps.put(InitialContext.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, username);
    initialContextProps.put(InitialContext.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, password);
    initialContextProps.put(InitialContext.PROVIDER_URL, url);
    initialContext = new InitialContext(initialContextProps);
    Object objref = this.initialContext.lookup(jndiHomeName);
    home = (EJBHome) PortableRemoteObject.narrow(objref, narrowClass);
    finally
    if ( initialContext != null )
    try
    initialContext.close();
    catch(Throwable t)
    return home;
    The Problem is, that after a bulk test on the tomcat (Xmx=256MB), 200MB are filled with 1.500.000 instances of the following class:
    weblogic.security.auth.login.PasswordCredential
    Has somebody an idea how to remove these classes from tomcat heap, because now the result is an OutOfMemory?
    Best regards,
    sebbay

    Hi,
    The authenticate method would take the user and the password details from the environment
    (env) that is passed and after successful authentication would populate the subject with
    the principals (i.e user, group the user belongs to ..)
    It should work with any user that is defined in the WLS not just weblogic/weblogic.
    Do you have any other users defined and which group do they belong to?

    I am playing (learning) with weblogic.security.auth.login.UsernamePasswordLoginModule
    as a LoginModule using JAAS based authentication. Surprisingly, the only userid
    and password combination acceptable is uid=weblogic, pw=weblogic combination.
    I went through and looked at the example code under
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs70/security/cli_apps.html#1042212. I found that
    the UsernamePasswordLoginModule.login calls into
    if (url != null) {
    Environment env = new Environment();
    env.setProviderUrl(url);
    env.setSecurityPrincipal(username);
    env.setSecurityCredentials(password);
    try {
    Authenticate.authenticate(env, subject);
    Seems like UsernamePasswordLoginModule only is a router, as it instantiates an
    instance of Environemt using the userid and password and passes this Environemtn
    instance (env) to Authenticate.authenticate along with the empty Subject instance.
    I read about that the Subject instance will be filled in with Principals by the
    WL Server.
    My question is that firstly,
    1. As Authenticate.authenticate is not passed in the uid and pw, will it pick
    those from the env?
    2. Secondly, why does it only accept uid=weblogic & pw=weblogic.
    I will appreciate if some one can put me in the right direction.

  • Helloo! I have super big problem with my Air.

    Helloo! I have super big problem with my Air,10.8.5 ,it asks every 10 sec to make some changes and asks me for password all the time!! I cant acces my documesnt,pics,music,NOTHING at all! Finder is not working,i cant open any folder,icons are missing also,i cant open any of them,mozzila,chrome..im really going crazy.. i updated tonight my phone on new IOS 7 through my comp,cant be that i messed up everything because of that..this comp.is like 10 days old.
    btw. i created new user,and everything is working ok.

    Back up all data. Don't continue unless you're sure you can restore from a backup, even if you're unable to log in.
    This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
    Step 1
    If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
    Triple-click the following line on this page to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2> /dev/null
    Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
    Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
    The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
    Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1 or if it doesn't solve the problem.
    Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
    from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
    In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
    Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
    Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not  going to reset a password.
    Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
    Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
    Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • NotSerializableException: javax.security.auth.login.LoginContext

    Hi,
    I'm using the JAAS-API for a JDBC-based user login procedure.
    Although it worked fine for months, suddenly it doesn't work anymore (i.e., after user enters name+password and clicks login-button, nothing happens besides the browser bottom line 'waiting for localhost'). I tried to debug this, but then Creator always crashed.
    I just looked inside the server-log-files and found the following exception stack trace. It was stored in the files during every login procedure.
    Because it worked fine before, this issue probably is not critical and could be solved by reinstalling Creator, but anyway I would greatly appreciate, if someone would have an idea what the problem is.
    Regards,
    Felix

    just to make it clearer, the important Exception seems to be the following line:
    java.io.NotSerializableException: javax.security.auth.login.LoginContext
    The first thought of mine was to add an implements Serializable to the class, but that's not possible, because the class is read-only.
    So does anyone know, how this could be solved?

  • Create a login page with NI Security Programmatic Login.vi

    Hi everyone,
    I'm trying to create a login page that inputs username and password of users, then authorize user information with the Domain Account Manager to recognize user identification.
    I google and see the NI Security Programmatic Login.vi can allow me to create a login page and it works. However, I got a problem is to redirect to other pages after authorizing.
    NI Security Programmatic Login.vi only outputs some string to show the status of the authentication, it doesnt output boolean like true or fall.
    Does anyone has a solution to help me?
    Thank you.
    This is my screen shot:

    Thank you for suggesting me. I've done the checking task but I don't know how to call a subVi.
    As you can see in the images I post below, I have a login page with its diagram, and the main page that I want to show after logging in conrrectly.
    So should the main page is the subVi or the login page? And can you tell me how to show the main page after logging correctly?
    I also don't know how to refresh the page if logging information is incorrect. Do you have any solution?
    Thank you so much.
