I started the whole process according instructions, but somehow almost finishing it the phone started a loop for 15 hours now! It is not working. Someone suggested to complain with ATT&T to get a credit for no phone service.

Hi, I have big problems since 2 weeks with outline, fonts, size in Ai CS6 : Numerical value are so big and I can't change it with smaller. Apparently Ai said me that comes from AiPrefs... Could you help me please.

You may try the list and see how far down you need to go; you have probably been through 1) and 2), and 4) is both reversible and more thorough than 3); 5) is hardly relevant, so you may end up with 6).
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

I have an IMac Intel Core 24 inch from late 2008. I have an Epson Perfection V500, and I purchased it for the use of the Slide Scanner feature as I have a ton of slides to scan so I can digitize them. I cannot get the thing to work. I even had the thing serviced this week and no joy. It still doesn't work. I keep getting the error message that says to remove the document loader, which I cant understand and now I cannot even select film in the menu on the professional mode. *** am I doing wrong. HELP please I have a school assignment due a week from Monday.

in ES_instance table the filelds folder_id and msg_uid become negative number.
if you update these fields the mail returns avaible without restarting any service.

A strange power problem I can live with, but would like to know what it is
Ok, for about 6 months or so, my 1 GHz 12-inch PowerBook with 768 MB of RAM, has been having a strange problem with charging the battery. The problem has recently gotten a little stranger, but nothing too major (it could probably be fixed with a part I'm guessing). Sometimes, when I plug it in, the battery icon on my Menu Bar will change from charging, to running on the battery and back to charging, until it will finally stop changing and charge up. Now, let's get to the strange part. Last week, when I ran it off of the battery and plugged it in to charge, the battery icon on the Menu Bar changed into the fully charged symbol (it will show a power plug, telling you that it is fully charged up). I also noticed that the LED's on the battery itself were not indicating a battery charging process. I played around with it (unplugging the AC adapter and plugging it back in) and it eventually started charging again, and it fully charged the battery. Today, I did the same thing, ran it off of the battery, and when I plugged it in, it eventually started charging without me fooling with it. Anybody have any ideas? I thought this was kinda strange.

Big problem! Can someone help me?
I was using software update yesterday, and the computer crashed during installation of the update. I started the computer again, and since then, nothing is mounting to the desktop, and the finder won't open. The dock is still there, and most apps still seem to be working... Safari, iPhoto, etc. No external hard drives will mount, so I don't have any way to back up my photos, or anything else on the computer. I had just bought an external firewire drive to use with Time Machine, but hadn't gotten it set up yet, so nothing is backed up... (read: I'm an idiot). I can't access the Mac HD either.
Is there a repair utility for the desktop and/or finder?
I can view my photos, but the computer says nothing that can burn a disk is attached... including the internal combo drive. Is there some other way to get the data off of the computer so I can re-install Leopard? Shared folder? Terminal mode?
Any help would be REALLY appreciated. All my kid's pics are on here, as well as my iTunes library, contacts, and about a gazillion documents I want to keep.

This is on an iMac G5 running Leopard by the way.Lack of access to devices sounds like a permissions issue. You don't state what updates were applying when it crashed. Major update (10.5.2) or smaller ones? If it was 10.5.2, then get online with Safari and download the combo updater and reapply it (you stated Safari was still working).
You could also try booting to your Leopard disk and running Disk util from there. Repair permissions and the disk if you are able to. If that fails you can force a repair from single user mode, though Apple do not recommend this.
Try the above and post an update if you still need more help. None of the above should effect data on the machine. As with any update or repair operation though, you may experience issues. -
How can I unock my phone when the touch screen is broke/frozen? I have a replacement phone coming tomorrow and need to back-up to itunes. The phone is a 5.
All help is most appreciated.If the device has been regularly backed up and synced with iTunes, simply connect it to the computer and do a backup via iTunes.
If it has not been backed up regularly (or never backed up) there is no way to force a backup without a functioning screen. -

How should I proceed ? Just install the latest SL update, and then 2012-001 v1.1 if Rosetta is broken ? Or is the bad security update not a part of any of the SL combo updates ? Thanks.

I've a big problem with adobe acrobat reader XI pro and I hope you can help me.
The problem is; when I past copied text from some pdf books (not all of them) it past symbols only! wherever I past it! and even if I coped that text from another pdf reader (adobe pdf reader, internet browsers, ...etc.).
This problem started to happen since yesterday when I installed adobe acrobat reader XI pro to try it before I buy it, and before that when I was using the free adobe pdf reader I was totally able to copy any text from any pdf and past it anywhere with nothing wrong.
What can I do?
