I have an iPod radio/clock/charger combo and for a while it has been working to charge and play. Just recently, as I disconnected the iPod to take it with me I noticed that as soon as I turned it on and the menu popped up the battery instantly drained and said "No battery remains. Please connect to iPod power source." So, I left it alone for about and hour and a half and tried again. This time the menu popped up and I could shuffle the songs but as soon as I pushed the next button it drained and I recived the message again. When I got home, I connected it to my computer and let it charge all night and the next day. I have been trying everyday but it seems as soon as I push two buttons it drains the battery. I have looked up topics and I get things like turning off the EQ, blacklight, and when not in use holding the play button. I do all of these things and I don't leave it in heat or extreme cold. Some of the topics suggested purchasing a new battery but the consequense of losing all playlists and songs is alarming to me. My iPod is completly full and I DO NOT want to add the all back. Yes, I have them backed up. It WILL play and charge on the docking station and the cord to the computer.
Is there any other ways out there for me to fix this problem?
Should I download the 7.1 version of iTunes?
Is it because I use Limewire in addition to iTunes?
Please help me, I will be needing my iPod soon on my NYC trip.

Windows XPStep One: Did you try doing a RESET on the iPod to see if that helps?
When connected to a power source, are you able to use the iPod, navigate the menus, play tunes?
In the meantime, you might try the diagnostics menu on the iPod (while plugged in of course). I forget what is in that menu, but you do a reset and as the iPod starts up with the Apple logo screen, push and hold the center and left (back) buttons at the same time. It should dump you into a diagnostic menu and you can either run automatically through the tests or manually pick which tests.
If you get stuck in any menu or test, you can always dump out by holding down the center and menu buttons again to do another reset.

Need help.Big problem with battery
Hello all! I have HP Mini 110-3864sr for 3 years. I rarely used the battery but if I do it , my notebook was working for 3-6 hours. 15 of August I left for business trip and my HP stayed at home. When I came back on 22 of August, I switched it on, but I found that the battery doesn`t work at all. I have Windows 7 and I see that the battery status is 0% and no charging. I have done everything that I have found in the internet. I installed HP support assistant and did diagnostic from BIOS etc. Nothing helped, but HP support assistant says that the battery is OK. During the test it starts charging for 15 sec and that is all. I suspect that when I left the battery was about 10% and during the week It lost the power.
I know that it must work because as I have said before it cat run notebook for 3 hours +++. Please help what I have to do???

If you remove the battery and plug in the power adapter are you able to boot into Windows?
If that is posssible, then your battery has most likely failed and requires replacement regardless of what the diagnostic test has told you.
Notebook or netbook batteries are only guaranteed from new for one year. If you get three+ years of service life out of a notebook's battery, you can consider yourself quite fortunate.

If you want it to be colored, you'll need to create a color-palette for the 8bppIndexed bitmaps. The keyword for this process is "Color-Quantization".
The whole yellow-green pie you get is from the wrong format. If you convert the 32bpp bitmaps to 24 bpp bitmaps, you loose the alpha channel ("transparency"). You can manually set one color to "transparent" with the mMakeTransparent-method
of the Bitmap class, or simply use gif-images (they are 8bpp with a transparent "key"-color)

Big problem with neo2, please help

I just got my new neo with bios 1.4already in it and a 3000 winchester.
i did a clean install of windows, then newest 5.10 nforce from nvidia.com, I did not installed firewall.
And everything was cool except ethernet because it was not recognized (I mean the Nvidia was recognized but realtek gigabit was not recognized). here is the first question, Do I really need gigabit lealtek enabled in bios to connect to internet???
i have a comcast high speed internet and on other boards I don't need to configure anything, just install the windows and internet was working. unfortunately here is different, after installing windows and drivers n-force I don't have acces to the internet!!!!!!! I don't know what to do. On the back of mobo there arwe 2 lan connections slot. When I plug my cable to the first one, I don't see any light coming from the cable (you know the orange light bipping frequently) but windows is recognizing that cable was plugged in. When I plug it to the secong lan slot the orange light are binpping but the windows is saying "internet cable unpluged"!!!1
What a heck is going on??? please help me!!!!!!

New air problem with battery after upgrade to 10.6.5
Hi List.
I bought new air about month ago. Everything was working like a charm.
2 days ago I did macos upgrade and I have big problem with battery performance. Only 2 hours of working after full charging. I decided to downgrade system to 10.6.4 and problem's gone.
Is there something wrong with 10.6.5 on new air?Hi,
I dont think there is something wrong with 10.6.5 simply because I have no problem with it
Since battery management is one of the SMCs, resetting it may solve the issue.

Big problem with my 4th Gen, please help !!!

Well I've a big problem with a 4th gen Ipod. The prob is that the Select button on the middle doesn't work.
I've tried everything : Did a reset, a complet restore from Itunes 7, but it was unsuccesful.
I don't really understand the problem, I was using the Ipod normally then suddenly the button didn't work !!
Please help me. In addition, I cannot carry it to the Apple Centre because I live in Algeria.

I've tried to open it as well, I've unplugged all the connectors, cleaned it with alcohol, but the button still not responding.
Do you think that the problem would come from the logic board ?? Because the button itself worked (I used a METRIX to test it), and I can make a reset with no problem (the reset needs the central button).

There appear to be big problems with Mavericks Mail, particularly if it's used for Gmail. Have other users noticed that it slows to a crawl and can't reload the contents of a folder instantly....Is there a fix coming?
There is a large thread relating to Gmail, but nothing that sounds like that.
Nobody here knows what Apple is going to do.
You might try removing the Gmail account and then add it back in. -

I recently just downloaded the 'Waze' app as a backup for my Garmin. I've read a few reviews that seem to rant and rave about how good the GPS app is. It is community driven and maps are constantly being updated by users. Plus it has a few other fun stuff in it (something similar to Gasbuddy where you can owe prices on the map). But like the person above me said, there is lots of useful free GPS apps in the App Store.
Oh and I may be wrong but I remember reading an article about Google being slower about updating its maps system--ie no turn by turn voice, which many people have had complaints about.

This support document http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4451 relates to the 3194 error. Generally this error has to do with trying to install an iOS that is not the most current. Maybe you tried to jailbreak the phone, or downgrade iOS? Any of this apply to you?

Having big problems with Creative Zen Micro Photo!! I need much urgent help!
Hi. I am having a big problem with my MP3 Creative Zen Micro Photo device at the computer.Here is the thing:Before I bought this I had the regular Zen Micro & having fun with it. I had no problems with that when I used the Media Explorer to transfer songs. So I bought the Zen Micro Photo & installed it my computer. As normal I used the Media Explorer to transfer songs & pictures.So I reinstalled Windows XP at my computer, and when I installed the CD that followed to transfer new songs, the Windows said that it's an unknown thing I have connected in the USB.So I installed Service Pack & 2. I have tried to install drivers from the cd but it seems that there are no drivers on the cd! The big problem is that when I connect the MP3 to the computer, it doesn't read it's a Zen Micro, it's just unknown! So the Zen Micro Photo Media Explorer program doesn't work & I can't transfer songs or picture on it! And it just happened after I re-installed Windows on my computer. The same thing happened on my brother's computer after he re-installed windows. And when I connect the MP3 to the USB, it says that it's not a USB 2.0, but .! And I am sure it is 2.0 because it has always been like that before I re-installed windows. Also the MP3 does not re-charge when I put it my computer! The battery is just the same, it tries to do it but it doesn't. So I am using my sisters computer to charge the MP3 & transfer songs. I have tried everything but I can't seem to understand what the problem is? I have never experienced something like this before, and I really hope you can help me with this! To be honest I think what I am missing is the driver. So can someone PLEASE provide me the link for the driver? I have downloaded all those 3 on www.creative.com, but they are none of them! Also that playforsure firmawre thingy does not work because it sais that I have to connect my MP3, and it is connected already!Please reply as quick as possible! Thanks a lot for you kind help!

A big problem with using endnotes in Pages 5
Unlike Pages 09 which worked flawless with endnotes functionality, Pages 5 has a big problem with the feature that maybe been addressed.
When I insert an endnote, I am prohibited from clicking the citation number at the end of the document which is supposed to take me back to the inserted citation.
Am I doing something wrong here or this is just another invaluable feature removed by Apple?

Thank you.It's not a feature I use much, so haven't worked at finding the flaws in the Pages 5 version, but going on just how badly Apple has done everything else in Pages 5 I am not at all surprised. It had problems from the beginning and Apple has take over 15 months to do frankly very, very little to fix anything.
There was much heated debate by certain people on this site who swore blind that Apple would fix everything.

Problem with battery life on 6.2.1
Since the update for IOS 6.2.1 about 4 days ago, I have noticed deteriorated battery life from the prior version. As a workaround I have tried to reset my phone and reset all email information as recommended. Updated settings to prevent push notifications, removed notifications and many other functions that were not causing me problems before, but to no avail.
Within 15 minutes of my phone being disconnected from the charger, the battery life decreases by 5-7% with the phone idle (Screen off).
Has anyone else encountered this and have you been able to correct the issue?

I am a school teacher and usually when I leave work at 4:30pm, my iPhone is at 74 to 76% Today I had to charge my phone 4 times at work because it kept on draining. My iPad is even worse, when I get home, my baterry is always at 97 to 98%. Today, I needed to use my iPad at work and from 100% at 9:00am it was completely dead at 2:30pm with no usage. I was shocked! I called Apple and they said that they are not aware of any problems with battery life and this update. I went to Best Buy and the Geek Squad toldme that it is a very well known problem. They are the ones that told me that the Apple boards was full of complaints regarding this issue. So I called Apple again, and they continue to tell me that it must be my device. Really? All of my devices, my coworkers, my father's, my sister's are all having the same problem and they won't own up to it. This update was supposed to improve battery life and instead, we got a nightmare. Please fix this now!

I have big problems with mountain lion. you can not have a boot disk system I resulted in the need to re-download the os from scratch impiegandoci 8 hours, it is outrageous even with windows 95.
at least that the operator has confirmed to me that he called me. I also have problems with either the start of the mac with the power off. I can not understand if it crashes or is just very very slow.
Finally, I have a problem with the external hard disck. I often said to have been ejected incorrectly (not true) and I start to restore the startup recovery disk because disk utility is ineffective from the normal operating system .. is a shocking thing, but how you reduced. in four years it had never happened. seem to have windows or worse. I am an Italian, alas, and then I would like an answer to my language because my € are the same as German French or English.You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.
If you want the "Firefox" button you can get it with View -> toolbars -> (uncheck) Menu Bar. The menu bar and the "Firefox" button were supposed to be mutually exclusive (which is impossible in some cases without being incompatible).
Once you are using the "Firefox" button ...
Use the "Alt" key to view the menu bar (temporarily) containing File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. On Windows 7 and Vista, the menu bar was hidden by default in Firefox 4 and above. These menu items are more or less available under the "Firefox" button which has the most used of the built-in Firefox menu items available in a different format.
To get back to having menus again. "Firefox" button -> Options (second column) -> (check) Menu Bar
