Big problems in Version 8
Hi all.
I have my library stored on external drives on a mini connected to the network with ethernet.
The ATV is ethernet too, all heading back to an airport extreme.
Since I upgraded itunes to 8 or OSX up to 10.5.5 I have a lot of issues connecting to the itunes library with ATV.
When I try to connect it can take ages, literaly tens of minutes. In this time itunes has crashed, or sort of crashed anyhow. If I force quit itunes it automatically re launches. This is most peturbing.
Once it eventually restarts which can take a very long time, the ATV can then usually connect to it. But what I am finding I increasingly need to do is in itunes select the apple TV and cancel its streaming then going back to ATV and reconnecting, in which it then does it no problem.
I tried the following:
Totally reseting the ATV and reinstalling the updates to bring it back to the latest software.
Reinstalling itunes 8
Deleting the data base and basically the itunes library except the music folder (which is on another drive) and re importing the music folder (This has over 14000 tunes, 600 tv shows and 200 movies so I would rather not try that one to often)
All to no avail.
I just want to establish if anyone else is seeing this, because if not I may be inclined to totally level the mini and reinstall OSX. I would rather not, but my ATV and library are central to my enjoyment of music and when it does nt work I am distressed and edgy.
Well thanks to a nice day off I reinstalled OSX as a brand new install, then imported my library yet again.
Still the same problem, connecting to the library takes forever and in most cases fails just constantly there say 'loading main library'
In the mean time itunes seems to have crashed, force quitting it results in it immediately reopening (I sincerely wish it would not do this) and then takes an age to reopen.
FYIW the remote application for iphone can tap into the library no probs and dirct music through my apple TV no probs as well.
Is it possible to download earlier version of itunes, I just want 8 off my system now, it offers nothing I am interested in and has only given me headaches.

The first :
When i go To : Menu - Settings - Configuration - Preferred access pt. : it show a screen with random text about vodafone and it reset automaticaly !!!!
The second is :
When i go to Menu - Settings - Configuration - Personal config. sett. - My presence : To activate the Chat Messenger i make all the good configuration, but when i return to Menu i dont find Chat application, it appair for 2 seconds and its removed !!!
Plz help me and give me the code to cleat the wap/gprs seetings to remove the first problem
Thank youAccording to my knowledge, Chat option isn't available on newer phones. Not even on my 6233, though it was available on my old 1100. If 6300s of your friends have it, it must be something firmware related. As you have the Live Postcard option, it must be a Vodafone phone. So may be in newer or older firmware versions, the chat option might be available. So check it with your operator. It never is anything Personal Configuration related unless this MESSENGER is a Java app. I think you mean that Chat is a main feature available in your messaging menu, not in a sub menu like Instant Messaging. Hope this helps.

Please Help : Big problem with applets
Hi,
I have a big problem which I have not been able to figure out. The applet I have enclosed works fine on some computers but not on others .
I am running :
java version "1.3.1_02"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.1_02-b02)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.1_02-b02, mixed mode)
The applet runs perfectly Ok at university but not on other computers.
The objective of the applet is to display 3 shapes on the screen once. On the university computer it works, however at home and work the 3 shapes are continuously displayed on the screen ( like they are in some infinite loop). I have been struggling with this for days any help would be greatly appreciated.
It would help me if some of you could run this applet and let me know if the shapes are displayed once or if the shapes are continuously updated on the screen ( assuming that the applet window is not resized covered over etc. )

from the error log the problem seems to be related to the use of an external JDK. Try reverting back to the original JRE. See if that helps, i.e., the server starts up fine. Use the administration GUI and select Global Settings > Configure JRE/JDK Paths. On the screen that appears, you can configure the path to the JRE. The default would be <server-root>/bin/https/jre.
If that works fine, you might download a more recent version of the JDK. iWS 6 SP2 supports JDK 1.3.1.

1. Put the Aperture.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)

Well. This code is 100% alright, compilation OK. In runtime, no matter what I do, inverting the generic types, modifying interfaces, whatever, the property with the first generic type defined (in this example, oid) will be wrong resolved to java.lang.Object, instead the correct java.lang.Long.

PropertyType class java.lang.ObjectAltering the order of the getter and setter in the source code seems to affect the result of Introspector!!! (ahhhhhhh)

Nokia X2-00 big problem with MMS receive
I have 2 nokia X2-00 and is a very good phone but mms is a big big big problem. So. If I want to send mms from X2 to other phone all is good and the image can be view very good on other phone. BUT. If I receive MMS on my X2, the image is very poor, very small, 101*75 resolution , 2,3kb. There are no option to modify the resolution of photo receive by mms. I done some tests with both nokia X2 and there is the same problem. Both phone can send mms with picture that can be see very easy and clear on other phone but can not receive mms with clear picture - all picture receive are very small. I think is a software problem. Is there an update for this problem? Practically I can not clear see picture by mms...they are too small to view, and can not be used for enything - not wallpaper, not album nothing. Thanks

Big Problem with Zen Micro - won't be detec

I got a big problem now with my Zen Micro 5GB. Since Saturday I have having my new PC, Fujitsu Scaleo

Windows XP with SP2 and several updates were already installed

Now, the problem is, I can't really use it on my PC. A few weeks ago I had the very old firmware. But then I thought I update it (why? I don't know...)I Updated to the version ..0 from Jul 05. It worked anyway...
So I plugged in the MP3 player to my new pc but it was not really detected or it did not want to work. When it was plugged in, I couldnt open any program. Even if it was Media Source or Opera or winamp... They did not appear. But they were "open" as they appeared in the task manager. So I couldnt use Media Source. So I tried with Zen Media Explorer, all buttons there were clickable but when I clicked on one butteon (like organize music...) it didnt react...
so I thought: "ok with this firmware, it wont work" So I updated the firmware to 2.2.02 Plays for sure. Neither with the new Media Source on your site nor with Zen Media Explorer (I installed the Update)it does not work. The plays for sure plugin for Media Source wasnt as well helpful. I can drag and drop files on my mp3 player, OK this is one way, but still when it is plugged in, I cant use any other program, as I cant open them.
I dont want to use the drag and drop way as I then have to download a program for editing mp3 tags and I cant as well make playlists...With Media Source it was so easy... I want to use Media Source and I want my PC react even if my Zen Micro is plugged in...
So what to do? I thought about installing the very old firmware what I had before I updated to ..0 but where can I download it's

Presumably it isn't, so you need to verify this by looking in Device Manager when the player is connected. -
BIG PROBLEM - BB Link crash when i installing in windows 8.1

When i try to install the latest version of BlackBerry Link (120_b028, this is the file name), the system crash (blue screen) and write this error: "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (ndis.sys)" - i try to disable the ethernet card and the wireless card but the problem still - I don't such enithing now - I'm desperate now because i don't make backup - Please help me and sorry for my bad english too. After consistently received the BSOD when Installing BB Link, I turned off bitlocker and received this error from Kaspersky. Link did not load but at least I didn't get the BSOD.
Error 1704. An installation for BlackBerry Link is currently paused. Changes make by this installation will be cancelled. Start the installation process again after the process shutdown.
I then removed Kaspersky, restarted the install and received this error.
Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {74FD3CE6-2A8D-0E9C-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}. HRESULT: 0x800736B5
After I acknowledged the error the Install Shield rolled back the install and bailed out.
Anybody have any other ideas on how to install BlackBerry Link on my brand new Sony Core i7 laptop running Win 8.1?
BTW, if anybody from BlackBerry is listening, my Z10 has been a great device and Link worked well on my Win7 laptop. This however is enough for even the most devoted BB user to toss the whole thing. There are a lot of people having similar problems. Get this fixed ASAP.

A big problem with using endnotes in Pages 5
Unlike Pages 09 which worked flawless with endnotes functionality, Pages 5 has a big problem with the feature that maybe been addressed.
When I insert an endnote, I am prohibited from clicking the citation number at the end of the document which is supposed to take me back to the inserted citation.
Am I doing something wrong here or this is just another invaluable feature removed by Apple?

Thank you.It's not a feature I use much, so haven't worked at finding the flaws in the Pages 5 version, but going on just how badly Apple has done everything else in Pages 5 I am not at all surprised. It had problems from the beginning and Apple has take over 15 months to do frankly very, very little to fix anything.
There was much heated debate by certain people on this site who swore blind that Apple would fix everything.

You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)
