Big Red "Delete Account" Button in iCloud Settings

I've been trying to research this here, but I can't find an answer. I'm trying to change the iCloud account on my wife's iPad. She just created a new account, but the old Mobile Me account that I'm using on my Mac and iPad is already in her iCloud account and grayed out so I can't change it. I think I'm supposed to push the big red "Delete Account" button, but I'm worried I'm going to delete my main Mobile Me account. Does "Delete Account" mean just for the iPad, or for the account in general, where I'd lose all my songs and apps? This button is very confusing. I want a "Change Accounts" button or a "Log Out" button instead.
So, what happens when I push the big, red button?

If you hit the "big red button" it will only delete the iCloud information on the local device. I tested this on my iPod Touch and can verify that hitting "the button" des not delete the entire account.
Actually, IIRC, when you hit the button, I think you have the option of keeping a local copy of the data, or deleting it from the device. If you are super paranoid, you can do as I did before I made my test. Make local backups of all the data. On my computer, I exported my calendars to a local backup, and I did simiar with my contacts. THis way, if everything did get deleted, I had a local backup to restore from.

It only deletes if from this device, not from iCloud. Other devices still using the account will not be effected by this.

That's not the correct port. It should be 993 for incoming.
If you signed into iCloud from the System Preferences, it should automatically create the iCloud account for you in Mail. Sounds like it is an account you already had set up for MMe in Mail.
Open Mail preferences, open the Accounts tab, disable that account in the advanced pane.
Open Sys Prefs, open the iCloud tab, and sign out of iCloud. Then sign back in and see if a new iCloud account is automatically created.

How do I change the account in my icloud settings

I have the 5c iphone. In the apps store my correct Apple Id is there however in the setting for my iCloud account it lists my old email address for my Apple ID and I can't figure out how to change it there. Can anyone help me?

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.
If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

It will remove any data you are syncing with your iCloud account from your iPod (but the data will still be in your iCloud account), as well as your my photo stream photos. You will be prompted with an option to Keep on My iPod when you tap Delete Account. Then will keep a copy of much of the data on your iPod. It will not keep any synced notes, synced documents and data from apps, or your iCloud backup or your iCloud email account. If you want to keep your my photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll before deleting the account.
However, if your only goal is to stop streaming photos to your iPhone, you don' t need to delete the account from your iPod. All you need to do is go to Settings>iCloud>Photos and turn off My Photo Stream. If you want to keep your my photo stream photos on your iPod, save them to your camera roll before turning this setting off.

There is nothing to fix, cause it is not technical problem. It is limitation created by Apple to only have up to 3 new icloud accounts created on iphone/ipad.
You can either create icloud account on other device and then start using it on iphone or use one of the three previously created accounts.

If I understand your question correctly, you want to add as aliases to your primary iCloud addresse some email addresses that are already taken by yourself as a second and third iCloud accounts.
Technically, from what I understand, you can not close an iCloud account.
You might want to contact Apple support and explain to them that you made an unwanted manipulation by opening actual iCloud accounts instead of aliases. They might be able to help, but I suspect you will have to get escaleted to a senior advisor.
You might prefer to choose new aliases.

Clean up groupwise POA - data still big after delete account

Hi guys,
I migrated antest groupwise sytem from my production.
My POA data is too big (around 80GB) , so i deleted most of mailbox and keep only 10 mailboxes with small size.
but the POA data is still big ( around 80GB ) .
do you know why my POA data is too big after delete? or any step i missed?
or any command to purge my POA?

I am trying to delete my skype name from the directory. I have deleted, all personal information from my profile. Now I am trying to request customer service to remove the name, which I am aware, it seems, it will take up to two weeks. NOW...The link to customer support does not work. I have read multiple places I can have my screen name removed from the Skype directory through customer service, yet there is no way to get to customer service. Considering the volume of people using skype and the amazing capabilities it has you would think the site would be sophisticated enough to handle a simple deletion. Any other social networking site can be deleted with one click. Why is it so difficult and time consuming to do the same here? I have been at this for the last four hours. I see many other people have requested the same...there should be no concern whether we want a new account in a different name, we made a mistake in the orginal setup of account or we no longer want to be a part of the network.. PLEASE just give all of us a link to do it ourselves. This avoids Skype customer support the issue of having to handle each request individually, if we ever actually even connect to them. I am sure the others who requested this are tired of "running in circles" to accomplish a simple request to the point they ever even joined skype to begin with.

There should be a Delete button that you can add to the Mail Toolbar.
When you right click the Mail Toolbar and select Customize do you not see a Delete button?
There is a Delete button on the Header of the Message Pane if you turn that on. It toggles on and off with the F8 key.
The Delete key on your keyboard works as does right click the message and select Delete.

No recycle bin. When selecting Delete for a photo in the Camera Roll, a big red Delete Photo button is provided along with Cancel. Selecting Delete Photos means deleted.
Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. The Camera Roll is also included with your iPhone's backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process. If you synced your iPhone with iTunes since the photos were captured by your iPhone and you haven't synced your iPhone with iTunes again since the photos were deleted, you can try restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup.
If you have an iCloud account, you have the option to update your iPhone's backup wirelessly which is automatic when your iPhone is connected to a power source while connected to an available wi-fi network. With an iCloud account, you also have the Photo Stream option. All photos captured by your iPhone are placed in your iCloud Photo Stream. Deleting a photo from your iPhone's Camera Roll does not delete the photo from your Photo Stream.

I am trying to resolve a problem where someone tried to set up a second iPad on the same Apple ID account. I have partially solved the problem by creating a new Apple ID for the second iPad, but when I went to change the iCloud setting, my only option to change it was the 'Delete Account' button. I just want to make sure that I'm not going to accidentally delete the old Apple ID account because the fist iPad still needs to sync to that ID.

Merely deletes the iCloud account on your device, nothing more. The data will still exist at iCloud.com unless you delete that as well.
