I got the email yesterday informing me of group video calling now being free and "But as a big thanks for
being a Premium subscriber, we're giving you calling to countries around the
world at no extra cost. "
I tried to test this today but couldn't get anywhere with it. So I contacted Skpe support via chat and got told that I don't get free calls to 63 countries, I only get to choose 1 country. I already had 1 country so does that mean my big thanks is actually thank for nothing? Has anyone actually tried using the free calls via the new offer???

Same issue here. Nice to get the email but they havent actually sorted this issue.
Any ideas when this will be active because if they dont put me on World Calling I dont need Premium, I only purchased it for the video conferencing. World Calling may keep me.

Big Thanks for Menu Remote Setting from Ch. Play Lists

Just before I handed over a DVD with 5 menus and 19 Ch. Play Lists, I was reading old posts on the EncoreDVD Forum. In several posts, many of the regulars pointed out a potential problem with Menu Remote, being set to "Return to Last Menu," rather than being physically set to return to the specific menu, from which that Ch. Playlist was launched.
I had not known of this problem, beforehand, and was just assuming that "Return to Last Menu," was OK, as it was what I intended. I had not tested my Project 100% from the +RW, as I do not normally use the Menu Remote button, and all else was as I wanted it.
I made the corrections to the specific Menus for the final, and then tested the +RW again - about half of the time, the Menu Remote took me back to the Main Menu! Not what I wanted, but had not bothered checking. Much better to know now, than when the client is screening the DVD and this is creating a problem.
Thanks for the H/U on this little glitch, and providing the easy solution to it. The forums at their best!!!!
I also understand that this little quirk has been addressed and fixed in CS3.

It seems that a couple of phrases on the Afrikaans Firefox are direct translations from English and is not quite correct.
However, again a BIG thank you for having gone through the effort to have the language available.

Love Apple products but nothing is perfect. I had to stop using Safari for my online banking with USAA, the most awesome bank ever, because Safari would not allow for full functionality with the USAA site. I worked with USAA developers for more than a year but have been unable to make Safari work. I was fine switching to Firefox just for USAA, however after losing my bookmarks on my iPhone with Yosemite I have hidden my Safari App. Give me the ability to sync bookmarks with my secondary iCloud account, and fix the USAA web site functionality, and I am happy to switch back. We use a family iCloud account so can sync up all calendars. Then I had to get a separate one so could sync my contacts. Now am forced to Firefox to sync bookmarks. Contrary to the App Ratings, Sync for Firefox seems to work fine and only $.99.

Generally when you get the resource in use error logging out or rebooting will take care of it. When a file just absolutely refuses to delete try restarting in Safe Mode (hold the left shift key after the computer restarts) and then empty the trash.

PC build for CS5 Production Premium

Hello everyone. Ron here from Toronto Canada.
I'm a serious hobbyist leaning more towards video and flash production, attempting to put together a PC for CS5 Production Premium.
I've gone through this forum recently (a few times, actually - great info - thanks guys) and have put together what I think I want, as I'm not a hardware techie.
I'm looking to see if I'm going on overkill, or if there are any finer details I may have missed in putting together these hardware components.
Ex: Motherboard fits in case; CPU Cooler doesn't block RAM slots; GPU good enough - SuperClocked worth the price; Overclocking issues; Good Blu-Ray burner; Hardware alternatives; etc...
Your thoughts and suggestions are most welcome.

In the reviews section ( http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16820231359 ) there's mention of the price for the 6x4 sticks being a marketing trick, where its cheaper to buy 2x (3x4) sticks. Yet one reply to that, mentions the price difference is because the 6x4 sticks are all made to work together. I also read somewhere that its better to get the 6 pack because they're all manufactured on the same line. Any thoughts?

I don't mind coding as in the past I have done that with Toolbook, to the level of cinema booking
systems, Director, Flash, and courses in html and C++ and some CSS for Wordpress
However.............
I occasionally crack at Dreamwever and can get most of it but I keep having a problem
with positioning. I have had another crack and still not solving it. It seems I follow the
instructions and unexpected results follow. It seems that not all conditions are
explained in the various instructions but I will keep an open mind that there is something
idisosyncratic to do with myself, or, I am missing something but what. I have not had
any similar problem with other stuff. Admittedly I have been used to a very object
oriented way of doing things whereas DW works in and out of the document flow
but I am not sure that is the problem. I thought I would try a different angle and
put a sequence of baby steps on a forum and see if see what happens when
things went wrong and someone could point it out to me at the stage it happened
so to speak.
In the manual I have it says that DW creates the code for you. As such I thought
well this will save a lot of time. I thought therefore code only needed to be used
incidently or later on. Does it mean then that code is best done by default.
Does this render most of the interface useless.
I admit I don't understand and I don't understand why I don't understand.
incidently I have been advised that it is best to use floats for main layout
Is this right, I have tried them with again strange results.

Sorry your experience wasn't a plesant one, but most of the issues they work on are hardware in nature, not software.. I'm not taking up for Apple... I'd had my share of run-ins with them as well.
As for your iTunes issue... an EASY solution is to simply tell iTunes that the location you want your tunes stored in is your Public folder. Items in your public folder can be seen and opened by others, so your wife could easily access the files there.
For you, go to your Music folder, find the iTunes folder, and drag it to your public folder.
Next, go to iTuness>Preferences and click on the Advanced tab, then the General Tab, and the first window you see is the iTunes Music Folder Locataion. Click Change, then navigate to the iTunes folder in you Public folder.
Now, next time you purchase a song from the iTunes store, or import songs from a CD, they will be stored in the iTunes folder, in your public folder.
You wife does basically the same thing except she navigates to YOUR public folder, and the iTunes folder inside.
She will have to manually find and import any new songs you add but at least your entire library will be available for her to listen to.
There are other ways of getting the same thing done, but I think this is the easiest.

so settings>safari>advanced>web data = the generic .com address for every website visited..not the sspecific page within , but the generic website grandparent name sort of..what is this data...some of it is in the kkb range..some in the mb range...i cannot see any more of it but i know that they are from ten days ago, some of it from two weeks ago however the history only goees back 7 days and doesnt have some of this stuff....any thoughts...like the data is there..(new user of mac and ipad etc) thanks a lot for the heads up and great job on making the internet history only a week apple...absolutely brilliant.... i have never encountered something so ridiculous in all my years of computing) anyways.... im trying to reconcile the notion that the data is there but not there....anyone know why there is a list of every website visited yet i cannot see the history for them..... all opinions useful but plz..i read blogs and posts a lot so no posting obvious answers like...try touching the book and going to history or any other face value devoid of thought responses...save everyone time and just dont post if you havent anything constructive... thanks for reading

this is diff...this question here is regarding a different part of the i pad memory...so it is on diff thread...and i said your answers were so so..which is appropriate...i said only post constructively in regards to what i saw while scouring google threads and reading ******** posts where people go out of their way to say redundant things..... so get off it.... and furthermore the angle of this question is more in regards to whattype of data is stored in the advanced settings, and perhaps what part of the pad is it stored on...is it ram, flash etc..so i did put it on a new thread because i was trying to understand it. furthermore.. you are being told by me...to get off it and not be so sensitive...if you dont want to respond..then dont...i am trying to figure some stuff out...

It is with delight that I am saying goodbye to BT after all these years. I have been with BT for over 7 years now and most of that time it has been great but this last year has been a total shambles with the amount of lies told by the recontract team and the bill department and now there have been demanding phone calls and letters from them as well.
When I recontracted in Jan this year (2013) it was because of a verbal agreement that I would still receive a loyalty discount when Fibre was in my area. 6 months later Fibre arrives and BT says no way am I getting a discount so no fibre. Then last month they alter the day the money is taken from my account by over a week taking before the beginning of the month so I get hit with bank charges.
After lots of phone calls they say that there manager will phone me back to sort it out but no phone call happens. I phone back and tell that enough is enough and that as a result I have cancelled my DD and will pay my bill on the old date of the 2nd and as it will be last bill they can either take it or leave it. The person obviously did not make a note of it as this morning a letter arrived saying that I need to pay my bill or my services will be restricted. I phone tham straight up and they are very evasive so the conversation ends with me asking for my MAC code.
2 hours later I get a phone call from the billing department telling me that I need to pay my bill and set up a DD or my services will be restricted. After explaining it all again he says he needs to put me through to the cancellations team to which he is told to sod off.
So new contract signed with a new provider (Talk Talk) which offers more for a lot less and should go live on the 15th which is when they will cancel my BT.
Of yeah one more thing, There team says that Talk Talk is the most complained about provider but just for the record they have a 0.37 per 1000 customer complaint ratio and that is going down. BT have 0.36 per 1000 customers and that is on the rise.
It is since BT added BT Sport that they really do not worry about keeping customers but sorry if you treat your customers badly then they will leave so again so long and thanks for everything but I have no confidence in you anymore as you have lied far to much...

We all know you think very highly of yourself, Austin, but this post of yours is amazing.
Before you accuse someone of not being "porfessional" perhaps you should learn even a moderate amount of who they are. There are many tools to accomplish just this, The Google springs to mind. (I might even add that you should pay heed to the built in Spell Checker.)
I'll give you a little start. You have that book by Alexis Van Hurkman, you know, the book every "real" colorist needs, "Color Correction Handbook," open it to page XV in the Introduction and peruse the list of names before settling to read the bottom paragraph.
