Big troble with 6163Pro
I have a motherboard-
MS6163 VER:2
Chip 6163Pro
Cpu 500 Mhz
Ram 256 Mb
HDD 80 Gb + 4 Gb
I was unable to install 80 Gb HDD in my computer,it was unable to detect 80 Gb HDD.
I flash BIOS with w6263v39.exe and that helps,now my computer detect large HDD.
BUT!!!
Now i seems to have another BIG problem.
I am unable to install Windows on it,computer hanging under installation.
Under installation with Windows98 SE its hanging just in the last secunds of installations just then i can see the green deskboard before ve welcome-board.
Under installations with other Windows-versions fex with WindowsXP it hangs up in the middle of the install.
If i install Win98 on another computer and then skift HDD back to this it works propertly but not if i do so with WinXP.
That can i do.
Can i modify the biossetting maby and if i can,how??
Have anyone of you maby had the same problem before me with this.
I have searsh in the forum but i cant find any solutions for my problem.

That with the battery you say,is it the same for the bios if i move the jumper on the motherboard to reset?

Than i reset with the (jumper) for a few days ago coudn´t i see if its beeing any different with that.
That only load setup default in the bios.
Today i have laborate with bios again and discover that if i flashing bios with w6163mj v31 so was it possible again to install any Windows-version that i want again.
But with that bios i cant drive the 80Gb HDD so for that i must load 6163 v39 again after i have installed Windows on the computer with the large second-HDD unplugged.
Then i do so everything worked propertly again if i dont drive the hardeware detecting program in controlmeny.
If i do that the computer discover that i have modify bios? It says ACPI(Advanced Configuration and Pover Interface)Bios and Plug and Play Bios - removed.
If i let the computer than update as it should are the computer hangig totally again and i must do the same hole prosedure with skift bios, fdisk,format,install windows and skift bios again before it is working propertly again with large HDD and everything.
Do you think it is possible to hide this bios-moved for the computer,can i take that away somehow do you think?
If i can´t im not able nomore to drive the hardware-program too see if i have new hardeware installed anymore.
If it discover any other new hardewarws in computer it will update all program at the same time and that is not so good idea if you know that i mean.
What is it means with bios is removed?
All worked propertly,are the informaitions for this bios that it asked for moved to another place in the memory of the chip?

The problem is; when I past copied text from some pdf books (not all of them) it past symbols only! wherever I past it! and even if I coped that text from another pdf reader (adobe pdf reader, internet browsers, ...etc.).
This problem started to happen since yesterday when I installed adobe acrobat reader XI pro to try it before I buy it, and before that when I was using the free adobe pdf reader I was totally able to copy any text from any pdf and past it anywhere with nothing wrong.

I haven't got any more replies to my post "I'm having big trouble with my new mainboard" by Krelian 2003.09.13 at 05:25. Please help! I've been struggling with this for a LONG time. And now my computer won't boot at all! Sometimes the LED's in front of the computer lights up for half a second, and nothing more happens. The only sign of life is the green light in the LAN jack. It happened after I took the ide cable for my harddrive in and out of the mainboard. This is insane, how can that suddeny happen :O ?! I was asked by wonkanoby to post max amps for my PSU, I did, and I really need to know if I maybe need a new PSU, since he asked that. Can a new PSU solve all the problems mentioned in my previous posts? Everything was fine except that I couldn't get into Windows, before i tried another harddrive on my computer. How can that complicate things so much? I have tried going barebone, and taking out the cmos battery and setting the jumpers JBAT1, J10 and J11. I have also tried every suggestion I got. Please help! I really need to get this fixed!
-KrelianSome power supplies or designed so that if there is a short or overload they shut them selfs off and some will not turn back on. Some have a relay that will click back on and work, some you have to cycle the power switch. Those that won't come back on will have to be replaced. I'm not saying that yours is that type as I have no way of telling. But if you have a friend who will loan you a good power supply you might try it. As someone else said just turning off the power will not darn all the power from some motherboards. To test this turn off your power supply than turn on the computer with the start botton. Mine will flash the lights and fans will start to spin than die. So every time you turn off computer to work on it. After turning off PSU hit the start botton to drian any power left in it before working on it. Also do this after unplugging it just to make sure.

Having big problems with my new Mac Pro, when I launch Photoshop CC, I get an error message, can carry on but after a few tasks it starts going gar... menus go blank, when you try to save it shows a blank box.... can anybody help?

This image is something new on my screen, probably since the last Fx update or so.
I think this big-circle-with-an-arrow-inside may be a sign indicating that I need to download something, or that something is available for download. I see it on sites featuring various media, such as on some of Amazon's digital music pages and also on some of IMDb's pages.
Further regarding any downloads, I don't know if this circle refers to a plugin, or a media file, or if, in fact, either.
I have no idea what the circle with an arrow is trying to tell me, nor do I know how to get rid of it. It takes over the forefround of the corners where it resides, rendering any links beneath it inoperable. At the very least, I would just like to make it go away.

I have the ipad retina display version - I have a BIG issue with this when out and about, that only about 50% of the time will it see my HTC mobile WiFi hotspot - rebooting either, or both devices doesn't cure the problem it drives me MAD!!!!
The HTC hotspot works fine with everything else I connect to it.
Also - ipad will not connect to my HTC via bluetooth. Again, I can connect to everything else with my HTC other than my ipad.
I have to say this is my first venture into Apple products and I have always wanted to get away from my windows based laptop to get a MacBook, the problems I have had (flash player etc) & continue to have (as above) are putting me right off swapping over. I HATE technology that doesn't work and my ipad has been hard work!I stated my ipad as being an ipad2, but I now think it is a 3??? It was new Jan this year and is the 64gb retina display version.
I really would like to get to the bottom on this problem wit mobile hotspots as it is sitting on my desk next to me now and I cannot get it to connect to my HTC mobile hotspot!!!! It might be taking a flying lesson soon at this rate!!! Grrrrrrr........... -

Big difficulty with Adobe Reader
I encounter big problems with Adobe Reader. I can read some documents and i cannot read others documents. I bought recently a new Sony computer and could install all applications without any difficulty except Adober Reader.. The process to install & use Adobe requires probably a professional. Please explain clearly how to use this Adobe. Many thanks in advance.
Thank for your answer. Indeed i can open some documents PDF and i cannot open others documents PDF. Some of theses documents were before under Word available and yesterday they all came automatically under Adobe Reader.Those documents i cannot open under the arguments not available or not existent.

In need of big help with my zen to
I have a zen touch, and I am having big problems with it. At first my touch pad would only scroll down lists of things, no matter which way I slid my finger. This problem is still not resolved. And now when trying to start my player, it will go through the first screen that says creative, and then will stop and freeze on the second that says Zen Touch. I'm having the same problem. Somehow several of my files got duplicated on my zen touch, and i was going through manually deleating the extra files, when it froze. I attempted to reset it, and it got stuck on the second screen. I tried reseting it 4 or 5 times, and each time it froze on the same menu. I can't turn it off, or do anything with any of the buttons.

i've been having a big issue with my receiver i just purchased a yamaha rx-v463 and i got that with the klipsch speakers and sub. the problem is that i connect my high def cable box and ps3 and when i switch to play games and watch movies on the receiver it doesn't show the picture and it keeps flashing pcm what can be causing this
I would recommend going though your menu system. Many systems require you to specify what kind of connection to use for each audio and video source.
Since it is flashing PCM, you may need to tell where to look for your audio signal (i.e. Coax or TosLink(SpDif))

Helloo! I have super big problem with my Air,10.8.5 ,it asks every 10 sec to make some changes and asks me for password all the time!! I cant acces my documesnt,pics,music,NOTHING at all! Finder is not working,i cant open any folder,icons are missing also,i cant open any of them,mozzila,chrome..im really going crazy.. i updated tonight my phone on new IOS 7 through my comp,cant be that i messed up everything because of that..this comp.is like 10 days old.
btw. i created new user,and everything is working ok.Back up all data. Don't continue unless you're sure you can restore from a backup, even if you're unable to log in.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Hi, I've a big problem with iPhoto (and Aperture too, but I'll say later).
Two days ago I was creating a small slideshow (18 pictures) and everything was fine. Suddenly, while I was looking for a theme, switching between 3 of them, iPhoto stopped to work. No ESC, no key, I had to restart my iMac, turning it off.
From this moment every slideshow I select, iPhoto stop to work and need a force quit. So I restored a library, from Time machine, but nothing changed.
So I bought Aperture, but nothing changed, using iPhoto Library.
Now I've created an Aperture Library, importing in it my old iPhoto Library. Is there any way to "clean" iPhoto, reinstalling it from new? Do I need such a action?

1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE 1: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
If that fails it might be another preference file that's causing the problem. Here's how to test for that:

1 - close all applications.
2 - open your Home/Library folder and Option-drag (copy) the Preferences folder to the Desktop.
3 - select the contents of your Home/Library/Preferences folder and drag them into the Trash bin in the Dock. You will be asked to provide your Admin password.
4 - reboot.
5 - run the application again and determine if the problems is fixed
6 - If the problem is fixed:
A - open the working Home/Library/Preferences folder.
B - Open the Preferences folder on the Desktop, select all of the contents and drag them into the working Home/Library/Preferences folder.
C - When the Copy window pops up check the "Apply to All" check box and then click on the Don't Replace or Skip button.
D - reboot.
7 - If the problem is NOT fixed, drag the contents of the Preference folder on the Desktop into the Home/Library/Preference folder and replace the entire contents that were created by clicking on Replace.
8 - reboot.
