sorry for my bad english(i m talk usualy french(natal language)
my trouble is about driver(not present when i want ti use the bluetooht between windows 7 and iphone 3GS i got this message after 10 time trail :error code 28,driver not present
someone get a solution for this trouble

Itunes needs to be installed properly and running. The driver should appear automatically Control Panel>Network>Apple Mobile Device Ethernet.
I'm assuming here, that tethering has been enabled on your account through your carrier, correct?
Itunes doit être correctement installé et en cours d'exécution. Le conducteur devrait apparaître automatiquement le Panneau de configuration> Réseau> Ethernet Apple Mobile Device.

"Face Time" app for Video Chat between iPhone 3GS and PC?

Does anyone know of an iPhone app and/or PC application combo (besides Yahoo Messenger) that will support video chat between an iPhone 3GS and a PC (not a Mac)?
FYI, I can already do video chat without Face Time between my iPhone 3GS and an iPhone 4, over WiFi or cell, using Fring and a reverse angle mirror from ISeeU.

Syncing Notes between Iphone 3GS and Macbook Pro

I've read all the forums I can about this, but can't seem to find the answer.
I want to sync my notes between my Iphone 3GS and my Macbook Pro. Right now when I add a note in my Iphone it automatically is added in my mail account in the Macbook.
However, if I add a note in the Macbook, it does not get added to my Iphone.
I'd like it to go both ways. Is this possible?

The issue is with configuring your iPhone. I personally gave up trying to make it work.

Thethering between iPhone 3gs and MacBook Air wont work!

I have used thethering between my iPhone 3gs and old MacBook without ever having any problems, but last week i bought a new MacBook Air and thethering doesn't work anymore.
When I try through USB it says in my internet settings on MacBook that iPhone is not connected - it is tho, cos it works fine with iTunes and iPhoto. If i try via Bluetooth the first steps of connecting works fine, but after it's connected a popup window comes up on my phone saying my MacBook Air is not supported, and connection is lost.
Any suggestions?
Would be grateful for any help since this is my only internet source at the moment...

Hoping someone can help!
I have an iphone 3GS and using Windows 7 as my O/S. Everytime i connect the device it doesnt show up in 'my computer' and shows in device manager with a yellow explanation mark!!
To get the device to show as a portable device in my computer, i have to force the MTP USB Driver to install and then the device shows up again.
I dont have to do this for it to show in iTunes. iTunes displays the iphone without any issues and even if i dont install the MTP driver.
As far as i am aware, i didnt know the Apple iphone relies on Microsofts own device driver - i thought apple have there own!?
I Would like a work around where i dont need to keep manaully installing the MTP driver as i have pictures in the phone that i can easily export through Windows.

i have the latest version of itunes. Downloaded straight from itunes after a fresh install of windows.
I even thought the itunes folder was corrupted and would somehow have an effect when loading the iphone. So i renamed the itunes folder to itunes_OLD and then re-install itunes with a fresh itunes database structure but still wouldnt work.
Went into device manager and tried forcing an install of driver from the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers but nothing!!
I seriously dont know what to do with this. It was fine when working within Vista!
There has to be something relating to the 3GS and Windows 7 as my iPhone 3G works fine with no problems on the same machine
Could it be the fact that the 3GS looks at something else with it being a video device too?!?

Swap Sim between iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4

I am going to purchase an iPhone 4, but must do so under my wife's line due to contract dates. I currently have a 3GS, she has a "standard" phone. She will inherit the 3GS and go with the iPhone data plan. How would this work in regards to the SIM's since the 4 has the mini SIM.

I was told by an Apple Store Genius they would only do the transfer of IMEI and phone #s at the AT&T store. Apple store will not do it.
The preorder receipt is quite clear:

Apple has nothing to do with whether you use your original iPhone, 3G, 3GS, or iPhone 4.
Your carrier is the only one that would have any concern.
Keep in mind that the iPhone 4 uses a microSIM card so you will need an adaptor to take that microSIM and use it in the 3GS or any other GSM phone.

Video Editing for Iphone 3GS and Windows

While not really a question about the IPhone itself, I was wondering if anyone knew a system for editing the videos you get from your iphone. I have a PC and Windows Movie Maker but the videos from my phone are not compatible with WMM. I would like to know another FREE movie making system for Windows so I can edit the videos I take on my IPhone.

You can use a video conversion program to convert the video into a format to use with Windows Movie Maker. Just google for that and you will find many, both free and paid. One that comes to mind is Zamzar which is free. Once converted just import into Movie Maker and edit.

The only supported connection between an iPhone and a computer is for tethering (hotspot/sharing phone's cellular internet connection) and that is only if it is supported by your cellular plan. More information:

Since this morning, without having made any change to any setting whatsoever, entries made in the iPhone calendar seem to be duplicated in the iCal as many times as the two sync with each other. I've got the same entries duplicated 4 or 5 times. How do I fix this?

I am developing a game using Air 2.7 but I only have an iPad 1 to test it on. The speed is really good (a steady 60fps) but I'm a bit curious how fast it will run on 3GS.
Have you guys done any speed comparisons between iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4?
I guess the speed on iPhone 4 is about the same as iPad 1?

I have tested the same vector animations on iPhone 4, iPad 2, and iPhone 3GS. If you have selected to use high resolution, the performance on the 3GS and iPhone4 will be similar, because the iPhone 4 will have to update four times the screen area of the 3GS. The iPad 2 may be slightly faster, and I guess you may be right about the iPad 1 being similar to the iPhone 4. If you use standard resolution, the iPhone 4 may be the fastest of them all.

Basic troubleshooting steps outline in the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Try each of these in order until the problem is resolved. If you've been through all these steps and the trouble persists, you'll need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation. Be sure to make an appointment first at the Genius Bar so you won't have a long wait.
