Hi,
I have a mobile 4g modem and it is hogging system resources.
task manager says it is using 23% of my cpu because of this my computer slows down massively.
also repeatedly try to check for modem updates but it will not and says check back in 5 minutes, but i can load other web pages fine !!!
Is this just a crap modem and do i have to put up with it.

  • PPPI - Process Management - activating standard settings from SAP

    System data ECC 5.0
    I am trying to use process message category PI_ORDCO. The destination is not assigned. I think the destination should be PI14. PI14 is not listed in the dropdown list.
    My guess is the system does not have the current standard settings from SAP "activated". Please help with activating SAP predefined destinations, characteristics, categories, instructions, etc.

    In cFolders 3.1 , user administration --> Standard Settings tab page:
    One can define the default settings for users that will be created
    The default settings defined by the user administrator here are the default settings for each user when they enter cFolders.
    My question is :-  after making this setting as above ,Will all the users created using su01 inherit the default settings ?
    What about users replicated from other systems using a batch program which copies them?

    Hi Kedar,
    I think I replied your other post as well. Anyway, to answer your question - YES, these setting will apply to all users. The way it works is, once the user (created in su01) logs in, these settings will be applied as the defaults. Therefore, it should also work for users replicated from other systems using a batch program.

  • Query on Pre-configured (standard) settings

    I am working on my first SAP-HCM project (ECC 6.0). When I sarted configuring the enterprise & personnel structure (pers. area, pers. subarea, emp group, emp. subgroup), I noticed that there were already many entries in all of them. I used some some of the configurations without changing anything (e.g. employee group 1 - Active), used some configurations by changing the  "description/Text" for the relevant code and I also created some new entries for personnel area & personnel sub area.
    My query is:
    1. Should we delete all the standard settings, which are not needed for our project?
    2. If not, when we later transport the confifuration settings, should we transport only what is relevant to the project or transport all the standard (pre-configured) configuration settings also?

    For 1& 2 :-
    No need to delete any standard settings. create your own settings and transport those settings, anyways for standard there will be no request to transport. so no need to do any thing. just create your setting, it will generate transport request. just transport that request. deleting standard settings is not a best practice. it will create unnecessary headaches later.

    I like to connect a USB device via AT commands and PPP. The PPP daemon has predefined standard options. Is there any possibility to change those standard settings?

    Evevn i felt that in the CTS at least a warning can be given if the included objects refer to any other object(s) which arre:
      1. Local Objects
      2. Locked under other requests,
      3. Lastly able to detect cyclic dependency as in we had a situation where we had a program locked in request A which calls an FM locked in request B. Now Request B refers to a message which is locked in request A.Since it was a message it gave only requrn code 4 in transport and transport ended with warnings. But if it is some other object then it is going to give compile error in at least one transport and neither can be moved without the other.
    Anyways, i will check the BAPI he has mentioned and see if any workaround can be done,

  • System will ONLY run on "Standard settings"

    Before I posted this I spent a few days reading the forums and have been unable to find a solution. As other posts can "run" system and make changes to BIOS....
    I have a P7N Diamond mobo with a q9450 CPU, 8 gig OCZ Gold 8500 RAM, MSI GTX 275 Frozr graphics and a 750 watt OCZ SLI ready CPU, the whole system is water cooled using a ThermalTake Bigwater 750i "modified", ample airflow via internal fans is directed over the north and south bridges and I CANNOT run this system at anything but stock settings..it simply wont boot if I make the smallest of BIOS changes in the cell menu, and by that I mean "small" it will NOT boot at anything but default settings.
    The built in overclocker.. admiral, captain, whatever..simply crashes the system..NOT bsods..just freezing, then wont start till CMOS is re-set.
    I have 1066/8500 RAM...system freezes when I try to alter RAM timings...5.6.6.18 and 2.1 volt as recommended by OCZ
    I cannot increase FSB above 1333....system freezes.
    I cannot change from default 6400 to 8500.."this does NOT happen automatically"..system ignores it and continues at factory settings for 800/6400 RAM.
    I cannot make changes via MSI Overclocker software...system freezes.
    I cannot make ANY changes without system freezing.
    oh yes..I have tried with D.O.T off and E.I.S.T disabled...makes no difference.
    I should be able to get 3.5 gig easy on the CPU and run the RAM at recommended settings, but, this board does NOT respond..it simply freezes, untill I reset cmos, I am so dissapointed I am thinking of a P5N Asus. my neighbour got one and it overclocks like a dream, getting 3.00GHz with just 1500 FSB and no other changes.
    I would be exstatic with 3.00GHz instead of my standard 2.67GHz.
    Oh, one thing did change...I now have cold start issues, taking 3..4 and sometimes 5 times to actually start running, but that does not bother me, I would simply like to run my RAM as it should be and get my CPU to 3.00GHz...thats not a lot to ask considering my hardware...any help??

    Thanks for the reply, and I did find it interesting..however, the important words on my post are:-
    CANNOT make ANY changes to cell menu in BIOS, in other words, I am unable to change ANY settings, or the system freezes,I CANNOT alter any settings without the system freezing, eg:-
    FSB to 1334..system freezes WONT boot,
    Enable D.O.T...system freezes
    As much as I would like to try and change a few settings, the system WILL freeze if I do.
    Any ways, I am solving the problem...am buying a new Motherboard, I think MSI has a bit further to go yet with their Mobo,s...If you have a big GPU, forget trying to fit a RAM cooler, notice the space you DONT have between the RAM clips and your GPU.
    If your GPU covers 2 slots.."as most big ones do"..your choice of sound cards is limited to PCI, as the PCI-E Sound Card slots are covered by the GPU Card.
    Unfortunately..while this board looks pretty...it falls short in accommodating other additions to the board like GPU, RAM Coolers, Sound Cards, as one will get in the way of the other, the overclocking software...well...its for dual Core, you got a quad??..oh dear, they didnt think about you,
    Maybe its just me, but, when I pay for something I expect the product to reflect the price....for the same price..buy an Evga or an Asus..they seem to be a little more mature with their overclocking abilty and easily accommodate other additions to the board....no offence MSI...go back to the drawing board, take a look at the layout, and remember..some of us have big quads, large GPU,s and would like to fit X-FI Fatality Champion series cards WITHOUT interfering with GPU fan coolers

  • How do I stop Firefox reverting to standard settings every time I turn off my PC?

    I set up my preferred icons history, print, home etc in the places I like them yet every time I turn off my PC the next day they are back to the standard set up & I have to do them all again, more than a little bit irritating as it has never been a problem before & only started happening when I upgraded to 33.1
    Things like this seem to happen every time there is an upgrade, it is getting to the point where after years of using Firefox I am seriously considering looking around for a new default browser.

  • Standard Settings in FCE

    I come from a music background and there were always certain standards that I worked in e.g bit depth and sample rate and file types. I wondered if there is a standard that I should use with final cut express for movies. Assuming that I can control the capture settings on my camera and the FCE settings what is the ideal video file type, sample rate etc, to maintain high quality and a degree of industry standard?
    I'm only doing movies for myself as a hobby just now but figure it makes sense to be compatible with other people from the start.

    To be honest there is no good way to convert this media for you. You could use, but it's not going to be degraded. You're much better off shooting with a video camera. If you have to convert it you should use MPEG Streamclip or the QuickTime Pro player to convert to QuickTime using the DV PAL codec at 25fps.

    are experiencing Premiere Elements 10 display and/or unexplained program behavior, then your first line of
    troubleshooting needs to be rolling back the video card driver version instead of assuring that it is up to date.    
    Since October 2013 to the present, there have been a growing number of reports about display and unexplained
    workflow glitches specific to the Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer has a NVIDIA GeForce
    video card. If this applies to you, then the “user to user” remedy is to roll back the NVIDIA GeForce video card
    driver as far as is necessary to get rid of the problems. The typical driver roll back has gone back as far as
    March – July 2013 in order to get a working Premiere Elements 10. Neither NVIDIA nor Adobe has taken any

  • How to attach documents in PR/PO, is there any standard settings

    How do we attach a document into a PR/PO. The requirement is to attach supporting documents into a PR/PO, so that when it goes for approval, the release approver can view the supporting document in the PO/PR.
    We have a Attach Icon in the PO but i am unable to attach any document by clicking it, is there any settings to be maintained to attach documents in PO/PR or do we need to implement any new submodules like DMS

    Thanks for your suggestion..
    I tried using the "Services for Object"  option and i was able to upload a document. But when i try to view the document in PO display ME23N, by clicking the Icon as you mentioned the attached document is not displayed.
    Only when i go in Change mode ME22N and select "Service for Object" i get the documents displayed. What is the way to get the document displayed ?

  • I need a filter/layer app to dim my screen beyond the standard settings on my iPad 3, similar to the many apps in the Android app store that can dim the screen all the way to pitch black.

    I would gladly pay for such an app but it does not exist as far as I can see. This renders my iPad useless to me in anything else but daylight since my eyes are very sensitive at the moment. Any suggestions on what to do? I've been thinking of putting something physical in front of the screen like a flash filter but haven't tried this out yet.

    Even though you can't reduce the illumination of the lights in the iPad further without a jailbreak, you can use this system setting to increase the amount of light that gets blocked in many cases by triple clicking the home button.
    Another possibility. You gould get two polaroid plastic sheets and overlay them. When you rotate the sheets, you can vary the transmission all the way to dark. This works just like camera polarizing filters.
    Send feedback to Apple. Since it can be done via jailbreak, Apple should be able to provide more adjustment.

    To restore the MacBook to factory settings:
    1. Insert the Mac OS X DVD that came with the computer, and press C key while your computer is starting.
    2. After your computer has started from the DVD, go to Utilities menu > Disk Utility, select Macintosh HD in the sidebar and erase the disk.
    3. Close Disk Utility and install Mac OS X. After installing, open  > Software Update to install the latest version
