Hi!
I tried to purchase an album off the iTunes store. I clicked "Buy", signed in, all that good stuff. I received a dialog box asking me if I was really sure that I wanted to buy the album. And, to be safe, I said no. So, I thought everything was fine, until I realized I had still been charged the $8.00 for the album, but the music wasn't in my purchase history or available downloads list. This is a huge problem - I just lost almost $10.00! Anyone had this happen, and if so, how can I fix it? Thanks in advance.

I purchased a movie from itunes on my ipad but it doesn't show up in my library. It shows up in my history of purchases when I open that page but it is not noted in the list of purchases with all my other purchases. Any idea why?

I purchased a movie from itunes on my regular ipad but it doesn't show up in my library. I am able to view it via my movies icon on the Ipad I used when purchasing it but it does not show up in my purchases listing to download to my ipad mini. Also if I access my itunes account it does not show up in the history of purchases listing like all my other purchases but it does show up when i open that page at the very top; separate form the list. I've tried everything to get it to show up so I can download/view it on my ipad mini.

You can only watch the movie on the device you rented it on. Here's a snippet from the Apple Support site (italics mine):
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

I"m being billed for things but i"m not getting my purchases

so i went into itunes and i just bought a song and it started downloading, but then an error screen came up and i had to close itunes. when i re-opened itunes i went in and looked for the song but it wasn't in my library. then i went into my itunes account and it said that i was already billed for it. so i went into check for purchases and it said i got my song but i didn't. Ever since then i keep getting billed for things but the purchases are no where in sight.... PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Go to App Store and to Purchases. Download click the mark with a cloud and an arrow next to the OSX Lion. It should start downloading. If it still doesn't work, ask Apple, but first try downloading it.

If you click View, Show Sidebar you will see the other libraries under Shared in the left hand column. Click on the Library you want and you can expand it to select Music, Movies etc. Select whatever items you want and click import if you want to move them to your Library.
You will have to have all computers authorised with the relevant Apple ID's
Store > Authorise this computer...
This is separate from the Home Sharing username and password and is to allow playing of DRM Movies, TV shows etc from the other computer.
If both Computers use the same apple id this step is not required.

It sounds like the apps were purchased using your dads account, so they will have to be updated using that account.

Lion purchase doesn't show in app store

When Lion was released I purcased it from the App Store. But it doesn't show in my "Purchases" area. What's up with that? Is it possibly one doesn't need it with the Recovery HD created during install? It gives one the feeling of not having a net under you when you're on the tight wire. I did purchase the Lion on a thumb drive a while back, so I'm not without the ability to reinstall. Just curious as to why it's not in my App Store purchases.

If you're using the same AppleID to login, it should be there. If not, contact the App Store. For what it's worth, your safety net is to make a copy of Lion's installer app after downloading so you don't have to waste time and resources DLing it again, since the dumb installer deletes itself from /Applications as part of its install routine. Alternatively, extract the InstallESD.dmg file from the USB stick, mount it, restore it to a 10 GB partition, and use that. Much faster than any USB method.

Album artwork for purchased items not showing up!

The album artwork appears in iTunes, but it doesn't show up on my 30GB iPod video! This applies to almost every protected AAC file in my iTunes library. How can I make the artwork show up on my iPod?

If they don't show in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page then check to see if you've hidden them : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases. If you've changed countries since buying them, or if they are no longer in your country's store (rights-holders occasionally remove items) then you won't be able to redownload them. If you still have them on your iPod Touch then you should be able to copy them back from that via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases.
But any item could be removed from the store at any time, ideally you'd be keeping and maintaining a backup copy of all of your downloads/library, you are only guaranteed one download of any item

If you mean that it doesn't show the Settings > General > Software Update option then that only appears when you have iOS 5+ installed, with iOS 4 you will need to do the update via your computer's iTunes.
Connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases. You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
Then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button

Your iPad should be updated to iOS 6.0.1 (which is the only version that is 'signed' by Apple), so you will lose the built-in YouTube app and the Maps app will change - but google have app versions in the store.

Connect your iPhone to computer iTunes
Use iTunes menu File > Devices > Transfer Purchases from ....
to transfer your purchased ringtone to computer iTunes.

When you say "song page," is that the screen in the iTunes Store, where you purchase the song?
In your iTunes Music library, do you see that song listed? In iTunes, if the sidebar (along left side of window) is not visible, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar. In the sidebar, below LIBRARY, click on Music. To the right, the list of songs in your iTunes library is shown. Is that purchased song on that list?
After confirming the purchased song is in your iTunes library, the next step is to get it to sync to your iPod. Please post back...
