  • Biller Direct Integration with FI-CA

    Hi everyone,
    I have a problem with the integration with biller direct. The connection test says that everything is okay. But when I'm trying to logon the following message appears:
    "A general problem has occurred within the logon. The error message is: . "
    Any ideas how to solve this problem?
    I think the XCM configuration is okay. The connection between the application and the SAP system is okay as well. I already made some customizing in FI-CA. Is there something I missed?
    Regards,
    Rainer

    I created an example user in the sap system ECC 6.0 linked with an business partner (Object1006). So the user data are stored in the backend (FI-CA).
    With FI-AR I had no problems, it works fine. So it seems that there is really a customizing or something missing in FI-CA.

  • FSCM: Biller Direct using Dispute Management

    Hi,
    I've implemented SAP Biller Direct and I want to use the dispute management to create dispute cases directly from the webportal.
    Dispute Management is activated. Its already possible to create cases in the backend (and to modify these cases on the frontend), but if I try to create a new case directly on the frontend, I get the following message:
    "This service isn't available at the moment."
    I dont know what to do. The biller direct integration in the Dispute Management is definitely activated. Customizing is done as well.
    Any ideas?
    Regards
    Rainer

    Hi,
    have you activated all of the user id settings for Biller Direct? (XCM)
    where are the 'user id settings' ? I've configured the userinterface, connectionmanager and application settings.
    can you make any changes from Biller Direct to ERP?
    - Yes, I can change the administrative data (integrated with accounts receivable).
    - I can pay bills. Marked as 'arranged by Biller Direct' in the ERP. How can I post them, or is it done automatically?
    What version of ERP are you using 6.0 or an older version?
    Right, I'm using ECC 6.0.
    Have you got your BASIS / PORTAL guys to check the connections that everything is open? (JCO's)
    The connection works.

    That's definitely a bug in 8.1. I filed CR111393 for it.
    Can you show me your weblogic.log file? There's something wrong with
    your application, and the deployment is failing. You should see a
    message like: can't read ... right before the NullPointerException.

    ok, anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
    I'm just trying to deploy a simple .ear that contains 1 web module with a single
    html file + servlet in it. I've used WebLogic builder to open the .ear, then
    saved in WebLogic builder, then did a Deploy Module...
    A quite similar technique works flawlessly in JBoss, but for some reason WebLogic
    complains on this pretty simple example. Is this a bug in 8.1?
    In this WebLogic deployment i've used the WebLogic builder to open the .ear and
    then pressed Save which generated the WebLogic specific deployment descriptors.
    Apart from that it's about the most simple .ear/.war example I can make.
    Any help much appreciated,
    Greg

  • If i can do or to billing directly with out using  delivery

    hi,
    sap gurus,
    if i can do using standard order to billing directly without using delivery then how i can know that the goods are delivered to that particular
    customer.
    here is the example of this:
    there is only SD and FICO modules no MM. my client is saying he doesn't MM module to configure.
    my delivering of goods place is USA.
    in india i am creating a standard order and then from USA people will delivery the goods and services and then they will inform us to creating a
    billing and then to FICO.

    you can configure third party scenario for your requirement. The delivery will be done by vendor/plant at USA and they will submit the invoice to you. This step (receipt of invoice transaction MIRO) will be considered as goods have been delivered.

  • FSCM Biller Direct Call Center Payment Log

    Hi,
    We are using Biller Direct and Biller Direct Call Center for our dealers/customer AR processing.
    Biller Direct is used by our Dealers to see their account balance and post payment online through Biller Direct web portal.
    Biller Direct Call Center is used by our Account Receivable team to see our dealers account balance and to post payment with authorization from our dealers.
    The main question is:
    How can we see the deatilpayment log/detail on transaction posted through Biller Direct Call Center? Our AR team needs to identify which user from AR team that perform a specific payment. Please advise.
    Is this something that can be setup through XCM or R/3 configuration?
    We need to get the detail of "User ID" and "Date & Time" that a payment is done through Biller Direct Call Center.
    I tried to look from the document changes on AR line item detail of the billing document that got paid. But, the document changes is only showing that user BD_POOL made the payment posting. The user id is setup in XCM for posting any transaction into R/3.
    Appreciate your help in advance.
    Thanks,
    Markus

    Mohit,
    Let me try to answer your questions:
    u2022 What accounting entries are passed from SAP perspective and at what points in time?
    A) SAP will post a CREDIT to the Customer AR item and a DEBIT to a Credit Card Receivable account when the payment is posted in FI.  The DEBIT to the Credit Card Receivable account is included in the nightly Settlement run to be sent to the Processor for a deposit request.
    u2022 How are charges levied by banks / financial institutions handled or can be handled?
    A) There are Processor charges for authorizations and other services such as Fraud checking as well as the INTERCHANGE fee that is a percentage of the Settlement amount.  This could be anywhere from 1.5% to 4% of the Invoice amount depending on the type of transaction and the agreement with the Processor.
    u2022 How any fees / charges imposed by network processors / clearing houses handled on a transactional basis?
    A) The processor will assess and collect these fees, typically on a monthly or daily basis and provide reporting to the Merchant regarding the fees charged.
    u2022 Is this something which Standard SAP Config can accommodate and if yes where exactly? If not what custom development route is appropriate?
    A) Standard SAP does not have the ability to assist with Settlement reconciliation or recognition/assignment of processing fees.  This must be accomplished through Manual postings.
    u2022 Does addition of third party providers like pay metric for interface plug-in help in segregating and processing of credit card charges any better?
    A) Yes, ISVs such as Paymetric which provide integration between SAP and the processors do provide additional SAP and external reporting and functionality to assist with the reconciliation process and in determining the processing fees.

  • Working with Collection in PL/SQL

    Hi,
    I am new in PL/SQL programming.
    I am writing a PL/SQL stored procedure that have a "data collection" output argument. It extracts a list of data items (eg. id, temperature) from a table. The data items are stored in a collection (as the number of items is unknown therefore I am going to use nested table instead of varray). Some of the fields in the data items on the data collection will be transformed (eg. convert temperature from Fahrenheit to Celsius) before it is returned to the caller program.
    * Question1:
    How can I add data into a nested table (or varray) one at a time? (see sample codes below)
    Eg.
    I declared a nested table in the spec:
    type test_record_t is record (
    test_id number,
    test_value number);
    type test_list_t is table of test_record_t;
    test record test_record_t;
    test_list test_list_t;
    Then in the body:
    i := 1;
    loop
    fetch test_cursor into test_record;
    exit when test_cursor%notfound;
    test_list(i) := test_record; -- syntax error
    i := i+1;
    end loop;
    All the examples I have seen so far that the list is populated when it is initialised:
    Eg.
    test_list := test_list_t(test_record1, test_record2);
    but not
    test_list(1) := test_record1;
    test_list(2) := test_record2;
    It could be that I am trying to implement the PL/SQL codes with my C/C++ thinking instead of PL/SQL. Do you have any suggestion?
    * Question2:
    How do you declare a PL/SQL procedure that have a nested table (or varray) output argument?
    Eg.
    PROCEDURE test_proc(data_list OUT ???);
    Thank you very much and best regards,
    Phil
    PS. I am using Oracle 9.2

    Phil, why are you using a collection to pass the data? PL/SQL collections reside in expensive PGA memory. Collections are thus not very scalable. The bigger they are, the less server memory for everyone else on the server. The more processes/sessions using your code, the more collections there are.. and again less server memory to go around for everyone else.
    The primary reason for using collections in PL/SQL is to create a buffer that allows you to pass more rows between the PL and SQL engines in a single call. This reduces context switching and increases performance. PL in 10G already does this implicitly for you as bulk fetching/passing data is so critical to performance. PL/SQL collections allow you to explicitly manage this yourself.
    Using a PL/SQL collection to "buffer" data for a client application is usually not the best of ideas. It involves using expensive PGA memory. It involves copying data from the inexpensive and scalable buffer cache into PL. It requires PL to crunch that data.
    Typically doing all this in SQL is significantly faster and many times more scalable. E.g. using PL to construct the SQL statement that does this data crunching and processing, have PL create a cursor in the SQL engine for that statement, and then pass a reference handle to the client for using that cursor - fetching the data directly from the buffer cache and SQL engine.
    Remember that despite the PL being very similar to other procedural languages, the environment it runs in is very different environment. Inside a database server process. With tight integration with the SQL engine.
    PL is both a client language (it uses SQL as the server supplying data) and a server language (it is called by clients as a service on the server).
    In order to use PL effectively, the very basic design rule is minimise PL/SQL and maximise SQL. Do not do in PL what SQL is perfectly capable of doing.. as the SQL engine will do it better and faster and more scalable than your PL code can ever do it.

  • Biller Direct and R/3

    Hi,
    We have installed SAP Biller Direct application on J2EE 620 engine integrated with SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise (WAS 620). For user management security we will use ABAP stack.
    The link of this Biller Direct Application will be provided on company's web portal (not SAP Ent. Portal). Once user click on link , Biller Direct application will open it another browser window.User must create their own user id and password.Other information will also be asked like Last Name ,first name, etc) during user id and password creation. Basically user will create their own user master record. (just think of it as you are creating an email account in Yahoo portal connected to R/3)
    My question is :-
    1) What configuration I need to do on J2EE and R/3 side so that user record will be created in R/3 when user creates it's own ID and password?
    2)If I want to link LDAP with R/3, how I can link the LDAP with R/3 (user mapping ) will it be automatic, once the user creates it user id in web portal? OR do i have manually synch LDAP and R/3
    I will appreciate your response
    Thanks

    This forum handles anything matching pattern B*. Unfortunately the first sentence with J2EE already indicated that we will have to request that you kindly ask in another forum. I can see that you problem is actually more between Java and ABAP stack, so I am not sure which of the other forums can help. I am lost here.
