Billing document  Internal No. range unable to be trasported to quality

Hi SAP Gurus,
I am unable to transport the changes to quality from develoment.i have made an internal number range assignment to the billing document type Debit note ZL2 equal to ZF2 normal invoice.
I am not defining any new n.range assignment but i am assigning the similat no.range interval to the debit note doc type and wanted to transport to quality but i am unable to see the changes transported quality why????
Please help me soon its urgent

It is only the Number Range Object, which is transported in Billing Type (VOFA) & not the number range, which can be Transported. It has to be maintained through T.Code: VN01 for the number range object (Add the number range object, if it is not available in the list in VN01). As a rule, Number range cannot overlap, so it is essential to have number range made available for the Number Range Object. Incase of Billing, most commonly used is Number Range Object 19.

  • Billing Document Range

    Hi,
What is Billing Document Range. Where can i get this Field.
    Thanks
    Kiran.B

Concept of Billing Document Number Range:
In Configuration of Billing Type, we have field as <i>'No.range int.assgt</i>.'. Here we assign an number range object. This is a part of customization. Transaction Code for Billing Type is <b>VOFA</b>. This configuration is done in development & transported to QAS & Production server.
    Assigning Number range:
Number range are assigned to Number Range Object. This assignment is done in Transaction Code <b>VN01</b>. The required number range are normally input data from core team menber, which is assigned here to number range object. This number range is determined in Billing Document. Number range assignment has to be done in each client & cannot be transported.

  • External Number Range for Billing documents in CRM

In CRM, billing document external number range can only be numeric or alpha, but NOT alphanumeric. Is this a bug or is there some legitimate reason to have this limitation.
This question stems from a data conversion where the legacy system invoice numbers are alphanumeric. So when we try to convert those invoice numbers, CRM cannot handle the external alphanumeric number.

  • Partner determination in Billing Document

    Hi,
Request your input to resolve the following issue :
This is a case delivery from projects where delivery doc has only ship-to-party (WE), which is manually entered during delivery creation in [CNS0]. Originally  ship-to-party & sold-to-party are different. While billing the ship-to-party in the delivery document is also created as sold-to-party (AG). Actually the sold-to-party in the sales order is required to be put in the billing document.
I am unable to find a solution to get sold-to-party from sales order to billing document, so have used a BADI to put the same in delivery document instead. But while creating the VF01, I get error as "No master record exists for vendor WE".
Request you all to give me an immediate solution.

    Hi,

For example, Billing Docs created in the month of January was saved with number series like 10161, 10162, 10163 .....and so on....
But the user has creatd the document in February and it got saved with number like 10121......which is a preceding number and there is only one document like this....
The number range is Internal Number Range...even though it got saved with preceding number.
Can anybody plz tell me why this has been happened ?????
    Proper answer will be rewarded....
    Thanks in advance....

    Hi Chaitanya,
Please check whether someone has changed number status in VN01 and previously 10121 was not used.
also check whether you are using ztable for number range depending upon plant.

  • Billing document number range

    Dear All,
With the same billing type how to maintain different number ranges for different branches?
    Advance Thanks.
    Thanks with Regards,
    Srinivasan

You can use user exit as under:
    USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZZ)
The internal number range used in the standard system is specified
in the billing type table and can be changed in this user exit. This
user exit is only called when the billing documents is created.
You will have to maintain a Z table to seggregate the number range & provide the logic to Abaper on what basis the numbers are to be seggregated, like in your case it is Branch. You will have to maintain relevant fields in Z table.

  • Regarding billing document number ranges

    hi friends
my requirement is with in one company code i am using 2 billing document types and i want the number ranges should start with the same number range
ex : 1st doc type is f1 and no range is  900000
2nd doc type is f2 and no range is 900000
in the above example if i generate the billing doc with f1 the no range should start with 900000 and after that if i generate billing doc with f2 i should get the no range should start with 900000 only
this is the requirement so is there any user exit for this requirement pls help me in this regard
    thank tou
    raghu

<b>USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE , (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZZ)</b> is used for the internal number range used in the standard system is specified in the billing type table and can be changed in this user exit. This user exit is only called when the billing documents is created.
The way you can do is create a z-table, and using the document type assign the number range and increment numbers when the billing document.

Is there any configuration missed by the fn guy.

    Hi,
While you are saving billing document i think you got Express document (please check in Transaction code SBWP :- Business work place of particular user). As per me the number range has completed for the particular document type(might be excise invoice also, if u have excise invoice auto generation functionality)  that is why system is not able to update the invoice.

  • External number range for billing document (Invoices)

    Hi guys,
I have a requirement from one of client to implement external number range for billing documents.
I can only see a provision for internal number range in customising for Billing document type.
Please can you assist me with detailson how to set up external number range for billing documents (Invoices).
    Thanks, Felix

    Hi Felix
I think the similar requirement is in Venezuela also.
So pl. check the SAP Note 849438 . As per the note :-
The solution is delivered in the indicated support packages. In case you can not implement the correspondin support package for your release immediately, please follow the procedure described below:
    1. In the Data Dictionary Editor (transaction SE11) please open the definition of domain J_1AOFFNREL, go to the fixed values and add value 'P' with description 'Number Assingment using Prenumbered Forms' in a position so that the possible values remain sorted alphabetically.
    2. In the Message Editor (transaction SE91) please go to message class ICC_CN and add the new message 837 with text '&1: Official doc. numbering is not available for delivery documents!'.
    3. If you are implementing the note in release 4.6C, please create the following function modules:
o     OFF_NUMBER_LOCAL_ASSIGN_VE in function group FIN2, and then copy the interface (all parameters and exceptions) of the function module OFF_NUMBER_LOCAL_ASSIGN_TW
o     OFF_NUMBER_LOCAL_NUMBERING_VE in function group FIN2, and then copy the interface (all parameters and exceptions) of the function module OFF_NUMBER_LOCAL_NUMBERING_TW
o     XBLNR_BUILD_AND_SPLIT_VE in function group IDSDCNUTIL, and then copy the interface (all parameters and exceptions) of the function module XBLNR_BUILD_AND_SPLIT_PECL
    4. Implement the source code corrections as shown below.
The following customizing actions should be also executed when the solution by delivered by the corresponding support package. If you applied the solution manually, then please use the IMG activities listed in the section Cross-Application Components -> General Application Functions -> Cross-Application Document Numbering -> Taiwan as a reference. After the installation of the corresponding support package the customizing node for Venezuela can be used.
    1. Enable the use of business place for country Venezuela as described in the OSS Note 726537.
    2. Define the necessary document classes and configure the document types you would like to get an official document number as relevant for official document numbering in the desired mode. Please check the OSS Note 571376 for some explanations about the meaning of the different settings.
    3. Define the necessary number ranges and intervals and assign them to the combination of company code, business place, document class and validity period. If you use the customizing activity for Taiwan, then please leave the prefix field empty.

  • How to determine number range for billing document based on company code ..

    Hi Friends!!
can anybody tell me how to determine number range for billing document based on company code & tax departure country if required??
    Amit...plz help me!!

    Hi Amit,
    1. Define different Billing Document number ranges in  SPRO -> Sales & Dist -> Billing -> Define number ranges for billing docs. (VN01). Make sure that all are internal number ranges.
    e.g.
NO.  From number To Number    Current number  Ext
    A1   0930000000    0930999999
    A2   0940000000    0940999999
    A3   0950000000    0950999999
    2. Define a Ztable ZNUMB_RANGE as follows
Comp. Code | Tax departure country | Billing Doc Type | Number Range
    100                IN                               F2                      A1
    200                IN                               F2                      A2
    200                US                              F2                     A3
    3. In user exit RV60AFZZ (USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE)
Read table ZNUMB_RANGE for Number Range with Comp. Code, Tax country and Billing Doc.
If found pass this number range value to us_range_intern.
us_range_intern is a standard SAP variable which tells program which number range use to create the current document which is under process.
Let me know if you are clear.

  • Number Range (series) for Billing Document (F2) and Excise Invoice

    Hi All,
I want to know how the number ranges / number series is defined for billing documents (F2) and excise invoice, for India business scenario.
In India, the excise invoice is given to the customer so that he can the excise duty/ cenvat. This invoice acts as the Tax invoice (having all pricing elements apart from excise duty) against which customer outstanding is considered. That is, the payment due will be tracked against this Tax (excise) invoice.
But in SAP, the accounts posting is done (customer a/c debited) when we creaate and post the billing document (type F2). Hence, the outstanding amount is tracked against the billing document created. This billing doc/invoice will have all the pricing components like price, discount, freight, etc apart from excise duty.
The excise invoice is created separately....with ref to the above billing doc....for posting the excise duty.
If the number ranges for billing document and excise invoice are different then it is difficult to trace the outstanding amount from a particular customer on the basis of excise invoice created in the system.
Can somebody provide inputs/solution on this?
    Thanks indvance.
    Rgds,
    Amit

    Hi Saurabh,
My question is not how to define number range for billing doc and excise invoice? i mean what procedure / tcode to be used for the same?
My question is whether we need to define same number range for Billing doc (F2) as well as Excise Invoice.
For example: number range 1000 to 1999  --- same for F2 and excise invoice....
Lets say billing doc 1000 is created. Further, when we create excise invoice w.r.t. this billing doc....the excise invoice created will also need to be 1000. ....so that we can identify that against this excise invoice, we need to collect the payment from customer.
If the number ranges for billing doc and excise invoice are different, then it is difficult for the user to trace the outstanding payment .....because genarally the excise is treated as Tax invoice by companies in India ...(so that the customer can claim the excise duty....when he purchases the goods from the company).
Whereas the customer account is hit when the billing doc is posted .....hence i feel, we need to keep the same number range for billing doc and exice invoice.
Hope the question/scenario is clear now.
I would appreciate the inputs on the above, from the consultants/experts who have worked on SAP implementation projects in India.
    Rgds,
    Amit

  • Generation of Billing Document with odd number range.

    Hello SAP folks,
There is specific issue related to billing document which are generated on Production server. There are billing document which are created on a date lets say 06.01.2009 and number ranges are assigned to it. But when another Billing doc is created on some later date, then how come the number of that billing document be less number range produced on 06.01.2009.
    Billing doc -- > 95906218 dated 06.01.2009
    Billing doc -- > 95906249 dated 13.01.2009
    Billing doc -- > 95906264 dated 06.01.2009
Could anyone throw any light on the reason for this topic ???
    Regards,
    Sarthak

how come the number of that billing document be less
One possible reason could be the user would have executed via VF04 and selected for collective billing.  Based on ascending order of delivery documents, invoice would also have been generated.  This means, you have to check the corresponding delivery for the following:-
    95906249 dated 13.01.2009  and
    95906264 dated 06.01.2009
If my assumption is correct, the date what you had indicated is nothing but "Actual GI Date" from delivery.  Having said this and also as stated above,  delivery would have been created first for the billing document dated 6th and followed by the other delivery on 13th.
    thanks
