Billing document not posing (express document "update was terminated")

Dear All,
I am getteing error message while doing billing document (express document "update was terminated")
I tried billing document for 9 customers but only this error message getting 2 customers. this is the supplementary invoice(correction invoice)
what is reason for this error, where is the problem.

Thanks for response. number range assigned. because i have posted 10 customer invoices with supplementarty concept. i got error only for two customer. Invoice correction request number is generated but billing document number is not generated and it is giving error message as express document "update was teriminated" by author (only for two customers).
So problem something else not in number range. pls suggest me on this.

The problem here is that once we maintain Price & Tax Code, the system shows the message - Quotation is maintained. But when we re-run the T Code ME47, the system throws the above error.

This message usually comes when system is unable to take load and it doesn't update the tables also.
Error is coming because server is unable to allocate resources to this program.
Ur basis consultant and DBA can help u out.

Hi ALL,
In VA02,while I am trying to send EDI for Order Confirmation and saving ,I am getting a pop up as SAPOffice Information as the 'Express doc 'Update was terminated ' received from author'.
I am not able to reach till this information message by debugging.Please guide me to correct this error.

mainly This error happens due to insufficeint data,may be you are not not filling mandatory fields or wrong data.
First create the data manually and see what happens.

Express doc"Update was terminated" received from author(Quotation creation)

Dear all experts,
I have created a Quotation (VA21) and saving it. The document number is created immediately.
Then, it shows a message 'Express document "Update was terminated" received from author...'
While I try to display the document number, it states that the document is deleted or been archived.
It happened continously for the subsequent document and the numbering is still runnning as usual.
In fact, it was happen few months ago. We ended up not creating any document for that day and it recover back as normal in the second day.
May I know what is the cause of it and how should I do with it?

Thanks for your idea, it did give me a good starter to kickstart the inverstigation.
I have done the checking with my project team and we found no overlapping number range as we are using very simple and few number range.
However, I will like to share an error message I found in the Inbox of the user who receive the message.
[Error Info: 00 671: ABAP/4 processor: CONVT_NO_NUMBER]
I'm not sure is it related to your suggestion or not.

I have created sales order with ref to contract no through standard BAPI ,now i am going to create bill with ref to sales order (which i have created through BAPI),while saving the bill it will give me error Update was terminated and in SBWP .i have received mail that contains:

After that i have created as sales order without use of BAPI with same contract number ,and after that i have created bill with ref to sales order at that while saving it give me no error
so pls help me out on this,

Update was terminated - Getwa_not_assigned error

Hello,
When I try to create Invoice through VF03, Created invoice number is displayed but when I look for it again, It does not exist. I get Express information "Update was terminated".
I looked in SM13 it shows description as Getwa_not_assigned. Its related to field symbol in a print program. Attempt to access an unassigned field symbol.
However, It does not seem to be print program coding problem. but I could find out that NAST table is not being updated.
Can you please tell me possible cause of update termination error?

If that particular FieldSymbol was asigned..you would not have got that problem..
Just confirm, the assignment for that FieldSymbols..you may get some clue there..

Error in creation of billing document: update was terminated

i am facing one problem while creating "Billing Document" in VF01 . After i save it says 'Document 941700032 has been saved' but later after i click on tht it shows d error "update was terminated' and billing document no i not getting created .

After save, and during SAP's update processing, a fatal error occured, causing a rollback of the transaction. Since the user is no longer in that same transaction at this point, SAP issues the Express Document to attempt to inform that there was a failure. Check ST22 for abend...in the meantime, check for exit coding that may be causing an error...In my previous life, working with SD/LE at lot, I was able to get these regularly by fouling up my exit coding....lol.

After saving when I am seeing in header -output the output type not appearing.

there is two reasons
1) Number range is not specied limit define billing document number range.
path- img sd- billing -define number range and see diffenettly i hope your problam willbe solved.
2) t.code NACE whether you have maintained the condition record or not check other wise please maintain it.

we are getting message
"Express document" update was terminated"
this is coming before we save the transaction. Could any body help on this .

Express error due to many reasons,
1. If any Sap scripts/forms using then is that unicode compliant? check if any errors
2. Verify the SAP Notes for that service pack, as there might be some bugs in the system
3. Verify the problem might due to user exists or BADIs.

while creating commercial invoice(F2) i am getting an error Express document "Update was terminated" received from author i checked in SM13, Error Updating Table J_1IPART2 this is the error i am getting, one more error iam getting while creating commercial invoice Excise invoice created for Billing document xxxxxxxx, and one more thing i didn't tick in excise group excise invoice during billing and i maintained dispatch number ranges for part2 also,

while creating invoice(F2) i am getting Excise invoice created for billing document,
I think you have given the Check the option "Excise Invoice during billing " in excise group " that is the reason excise invoice is generating automatically
1. My invoice is saving but not updating in document flow
Excise Invoice number we can't see in document flow in the standard SAP
2. after saving i am getting this error Express document "Update was terminated" received from author
Ask your ABAPer debug the program based the error and find where you are getting the error exactly i think its number ranges issue
3. one more thing i can create invoice again with same delivery number and invoice number range is updating, i checked accounting number range also, all those are fine
Once invoice is done for full qty of delivery we can't create one more invoice
4. I checked in SM13 Error updating table J_1IPART2
5. I maintained J_1IINTPR2 number rangers for dispatch
what is you mentioned in the point 4 & 5 table names are different make sure that which table you are maintained

Express Document "Update was terminated" in FM: BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE

As per our requirement we needed to add different types of phone nos to an Business Partners Address. We are using the Function Module BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE to insert the Telephone nos by passing values to the internal table for ADR2 table in the FM. The function module updates the phone nos successfully twice. The Function module fails the third and subsequent times within the same session. The code used for the same is as below:

The problem occurs only on the same BP being used for the third time within the same session. We are thinking that this might be a Locking problem and thats why the Update is getting terminated.
If anyone had encountered the same issue while using this FM, please advise the reason for the same and how this could be rectified.

Hi,
To be clear, my understanding is that you are updating the same partner multiple times with this function.
Try 'commit work' after each call of the FM, if that is not an issue for your current logic.
Another option you can try is calling it with destination option. This is just a guess. Try it like 'Call .... destination NONE importing.....'

Hi all,
i need a solution urgently ..except for paticular document no all documents that i post using VF01 create successfully document no.
but for a paticular document no(may be it is of some type that i am unable to) while creaing billing document no it gives a message 'document created successfully' ,but when i try to click any button after that e.g BACK it shows a messge 'Update was terminated for author ....' in my inbox. and vf03 shows the documentdoesn't exist.
in st22 i checked one dump . when i gave a break point at that point the cursor never reached the code.
I also checked SM13 and it showed all fms as init. and one fm 'RV_MESSAGE_UPDATE ' as error . i aws unable find the fm in the main program .
one more thing when i create bill document for other document type it shows messge 'Document saved ....(no accounting document created)' but for this one i am getting messge 'document saved.......' .
I asked one collegue he told me might be some OSS notes required for it . i am working on a unicoded system ECC 6.0 version.but he is not sure .
Has any body faced the same problem..and what was the soln....if oss notes are required than how could i find it..and what was the no...........

i am new to sap .can u tell me in detail where actually i can check for number range of the document . one more when i checked the sm13 and started debugging it gave me for a certain character set (may be in chineses) present in the table ,the transfer command gives a dump. now the problem is it is too long 132 and don't no forwhich character it gives an dump.how can i check the characters maintained in the system. it gives a dump CX_SY_CONVERSION_CODEPAGE ,At the conversion of a text from codepage '4102' to codepage '4110':
i am not sure this causes the mesages 'Updation was terminated' . what u people think.

MRKO Error : Express document "update was terminated" received from author

When settling Consignment through MRKO we are getting error 'Express document "update was terminated" received from author xxxx' in ECD system.
At workplace inbox, the error shows "Error Info... XS 007: Address invalid".
Please note that I am not getting any short dump at ST22 for the same error.
My queries are:
1. How can I create a short dump for this error....this will help in analyzing the issue.
2. What are the probable reasons for this error can be.

I have tried SM13 and getting ERROR XS007(Address Invalid).
Diagnosis says:
The address specified is invalid or initial (address value, address type INT).
Procedure:
Enter a correct address that is suitable for address type INT.
The formats are:
1. INT (Internet Mail Address): <name>@<domain> or comment<name>@<domain> or <name>@<domain>(comment)
2. FAX(fax addresses): <country><number>
ETC
Now as already told, I have properly maintained mail-id in "Email" field & "StandardComm.Mtd" field as E-Mail of the Vendor Master.
The mail ID is my official ID and working.
Please advice further.

PM workorder printing problem -- *"Express document "Update was terminated"

Hi All,
I have designed a PM workorder smartform.
This form is getting triggered from the standard transaction IW32. There is a Z driver program and Z smartform.
However when I am directly trying to print the this smartform(Order> Print>order) using the shoppaper number customized for my Zdriver program and zsmartform, the workorder gets saved but then on again entering into the workorder its gives the message :-
"Express document "Update was terminated" received from author "XXX".
And hence I am not able to print the smartform.
However when I see its print preview and then try to print the smartform its allowing me to do so.
Can anyone provide me the solution for the same.
