Even I maintained everything in item category relevant fro billing. Proforma invoice is required.
Please suggest best way how to resolve this problem.

Hi Aman,
All data are well set & no problem. Now I just deleted Item category RLLN and just reassigned with the same parameter. When i created Proforma Invoice it allowed me to create. Here quantity appeared as 22 pcs but no pricing means No Value for this Proforma invocie. Can you suggest where to check the setting? In setting Item category RLLN i maintained
Copying Req 009= Deliv related Proforma
Data VBRK/VBRP= Blank
illing qty=D (Delivery Qty)
Ps/neg. quantity=Blank
Pricing Type=D (Copying pricing element unchanged)
Thanks for nice tip.
Aman, but I am unable to create F2 billing from this. Here I deleted Item category & reassigned with the same parameter but error log in billing says "The billing item does not conatin quantity".
Copying item maitained as Target F2 Source RLL
Header Copying Req=003 (Header Delivery Related) I also have 904=Deliv-related item

Rest filed not maintained e.g. Pricing Echnage type, Cumul Cost
When creating F2 from delivery error"Billing item does not conatin quantity"
Means in Proforma and also billing There is no quantity. But in delivery Qty is maintained with PGI. PO also shows Minus for returned Qty 22.
Aman, any further clue will be much appreciated. Thanks for your time.

  • Output type for Proforma Invoice for return delivery from delivery type RLN

Client require Output type Proforma Invoice for return delivery to vendor. As such return item category is not relevant for pricing so from delivery to proforma invoice can not have with p-ricing. I got quantity correct but pricing is coming Zero.
Client have ZPAC as packing list output type from delivery which shows quantity and pricing. So decided to use the same logic to pull pricing for proforma invoice from delivery.
Here delivery has standard output ZPAC as packing list with access sequence Z002 as Delivery Type.
I want to pop up output type for all return delivery so using access sequence with delivery type/vendor.
Vendor filed does not exist in delivery output type so brought that firld LIFNR.
It is assigned to procedure and maintained ZPRO output type for Proforma invoice. Asigned VV21 on front end.
Problem Still automatic output type ZPRO is not poping up. What type of access sequence will help me to pop up or what in configuration am I miising?
Appreciate help for solution at earliest.

    Hi Padamsree,
I know Pricing & output very well.  I need profomra invoice to be printed with quantity & value for return goods to the vendor. Pricing is associated with Item category RLLN for delivery type RLL which is return type delivery.
I need to have pricing in my Proforma invoice which is copied from delivery to billing document VTFL. Just check well how it is working in the system & if you know please answer so that it should be workable on the system. As theoretical answer may not be helpful. Appreciate for your time.
    Thanks

  • Change Item Quantity in the Billing Document ( Proforma Invoice )

    Hi,
There is a requirement from the client to change the quantity at item level in the billing document ( Order based Proforma Invoice ) after it is saved.
As SAP does not allow to change in the VF02 transaction, Please let me how to change quantity at the item level of the billing document.
Please let us know if we need to use any user exit or any other system modification.
    Regards
    V R Reddy

    Hi Venkat Rama Reddy
First of all Welcome to SDN forum
Now coming to your query , your requirement cannot be fulfilled  as standard SAP doesn't .Because ,First of all at billing level you cant change the item quantity , then in VF02 it is not possible. But if your clients requirement is to change the item quantity in VF02 , then first of all do VF11->VL09->VL02N and here you can change the picking quantity and then do the billing ,as once if you change the picking quantity then at billing item  level also the item quantity will change
Check with the following user-exit  USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE. Here with the help of the Technical consultant include the requirement that after saving the billing document we can change the item quantity
But it is not suggestible to change the item quantity at billing level . As once you save the billing document , an accounting document will be getting created.

  • Proforma invoices for non-valuated returnable packaging

    All,
just wondering whether it is required to send a proforma invoice for non-valuated returnable packaging that is sent across a border.
Can anybody help me on that one?
    Thx in advance!
    Regards,
    B.

    Hi,
Going by std SAP best practices, if you are sending materials across the border and also entering foreign trade export data in your sales documents it is advisable to have a proforma invoice for your returnable packaging materials else they may be subject to other taxes, customs or excise duty.
You may check with SAP Global Trade Solutions to check about the implications in detail.

  • Billing document not relenvent for invoice list

    Dear forum members,
For one sales area I can create a invoice list from a billing document, but not for the other. In debug mode first one is relevent for invoice list processing ( VBUK-RELIK), but for another sales area ,thus staus is not relevent.
Partner detemrination was different for both the above sales area. This was the only differnce. Partner determination is correct in both. What can be the other possible reasons for the status NOT RELEVENT for invoice list.
    Best Regards,
    Kanwal

    Dear Goyal,
-->Check the configuration settings if you are using diffirent Invoice documents in two sales areas.
IMG Path is SPRO>Sales and Distribution>Billing>Billing documents>Invoice lists.
-->Check the data in the customer master in the transaction VD02.
Go to Sales area data tab-->Billing document here you check whether you are maintaining the Invoice list dates or not.
-->Check the Partner determination procedure assignment to the Invoice List type at Header level and item level.
Because you are mentioned that partner dtermination wad different.
    Header assignment path.
IMG>SPRO>Sales and Distribution->Basic functions>partner determination>set up partner determination.>Set up partner determination for billing header-->Prtner determination procedure assignment.
    Item assignment path
IMG>SPRO>Sales and Distribution->Basic functions>partner determination>set up partner determination.>Set up partner determination for billing item -->Prtner determination procedure assignment.
I hope it will help you

    Dear All,
Can we capture the  STO return details in proforma invoice?
    Thanks in advance.
    Siva

    Dear Ram,
When we create Proforma invoice, there wont be any postings to accounting documents. It is just an record to maintian.
So i dont think it is required to create an Proforma invoice during return delivery , Better u create return delivery STO with a tick mark.
    Follow the same process.

  • Proforma Invoice for Consignment Orders / Internal Orders

    Hello,
we need to implement a consigment inventory (for customers) in our EBS 12.1 environment.
A search in the forum pointed me to this flow that looks quite good already:
(quoting Sandeep Gandhi from thread: Consignment Order in Oracle ( 11.5.10.2 and R12)
    >
    1) Define each customer as an org
    2) When you receive first sales order, create an internal order to ship material from your warehouse to the customer. This ensures that your inventory is updated, shipping documents are generated and invoices are not created. This also ensures that the inventory continues to show up as an asset on your books.
    3) When you receive consumption advice from customer, create a regular sales order which will create invoices.
    4) This ensures that at any point in time, you can know exactly how much is at each customer location. And you can easily process return of consignment material by doing another Internal Order.
    >
That looks almost perfect to us, except one thing: we need a proforma invoice when we ship the material (point 2).
Does anybody know how I could generate a proforma invoice for an Internal Order?
Or did anyone solve that problem differently?
    Thanks in advance,
    David.

I know that you can generate a proforma invoice for an ISO if the ISO is between 2 different OU.
But the customer Inventory orgs I suggested earlier are typically under the same OU (unless you have reasons to do it otherwise) and so Oracle probably won't generate a Proforma invoice.
If that happens, you can create a custom document and print it along with the shipping documents for the ISO. You don't have to worry about a/c transactions since proforma invoice is basically a commitment that states price/qty etc. It is not really an AR invoice.
    Hope this helps,

  • Proforma Invoice for Consignment Fill-up

    Hi,
Everytime there is a delivery out from my company, we need to submit a proforma invoice to custom.
Now we plan to implement the Consignment but we facing a problem. After we created the transcations for consignment fill-up (sales order type KB and its delivery order), we want to create the proforma invoice (F8) based on the delivery order but an error occured as below:
"80008164 000010 Item category LF KBN cannot be invoiced with billing type F8."
Is this message telling that consignment fill-up transaction can't use as reference to create a proforma invoice?
Is there any configuration that I need to do to allow the creation of proforma invoice based on the consignment fill-up transaction?
    Thank you.

    Hi Aaron,
You can have a Proforma Invoice for Consignment Fill-up. For this use the following path:
IMG> Sales and Distribution> Sales> Sales Documents> Sales Document Item--> Define Item Categories. Here select the Item Category KBN and select option "D" for Billing Relevance field and  "X" for Pricing field (seen in the Business Data option).
Also maintain Copy control between the Delivery type & Billing type using T-code VTFL. Here ensure Copying requirement as 009(DlvRel.pro forma hdr) at Header level. And at Item level select Item category as "KBN" with Copying requirements as 010(DlvRel.pro forma itm), Billing Qty as "B" and Pricing Type as per your requirement.
    Hope this helps you.
    REWARD if it helps you!!

  • Proforma invoice for Service Contracts

    Hello,
I know the invoice types F5 for order related proforma and F8 for delivery related invoice. Now I'm looking for possibilities to create a proforma invoice based on a Service contract (Order Type WV) as a periodical invoiced sales order.
I tried to use proforma invoice (type F5) with Service contract but the billing plan will be set on status C (completely processed) so that the same period can not be invoiced again with the real commercial invoice. The billing status in the sales order has been changed as well with the proforma, which should not be the case as the proforma should just generate a printout.
Does SAP offer anything or how can I setup customizing to be able to create proforma for periodical sales orders?
    Kind regards
    Rafael

    Hello,
    Thank's for the information.
Finally I tried to copy our existing invoice type and set it up like F5 but the problem is still that the billing plan periods are set to status C - completely processed. The accounting side is OK as no accounting document is being created.
But with this billing plan situation it would not be possible to create first the proforma invoice for one Period and then later create the real commercial invoice for the same period.
Any ideas what I can setup to avoid this problem? I thought of chancelling the proforma after creation so that the billing period will be opened again, but this is no user friendly or professional solution.
Thank's in advance for your ideas.
    Kind regards
    Rafael

  • Proforma Invoice for Contracts in CRM

    Hi,
We have a setup where we print invoice documents from the billing document of the contract.
Now the requirement is to print the proforma invoice for the contract without doing the actual billing in the system.
How can we do this. I found that there can be a billing type with Proforma invoice type however we cant assign it to the existing billing item category.
    Regards,
    PP

    Hi Pepe,
I have don some investigation on my side and came accross below informations:
In standard the Bill Category PROFORMA is used in two scenarios
    mentioned below:
1)The Intracompany Stock Transfer process in order to create a Proforma
    Invoice for crossing border requirements.
2)The Supplementary Invoice process where an additional Invoice has to
be created which is not relevant for Accounting.
In CRM Billing it is not possible to create a normal customer invoice
for the same sales order item once the Proforma invoice is created.
This is because only one billing item category can be assigned to a
    source document type/item category.
To achieve your requirement you can follow this solution, as you say
there are only a few customers who request for a proforma kind of an
    invoice,
1)Create a regular customer invoice and block it for the transfer
process to accounting(By setting the transfer block for the bill_type)
2)Handle this customer Invoice as a proforma Invoice and print it (i.e.
as a crossing border document)                          3)When the
Customer Invoice has to be actually sent out to the customer after a
sign off from the customer then the same invoice can be transfered to
    accounting
    (Use Tx-/BEA/CRMB12)
Or in case if any correction is required in the invoice, then  cancel
    and re-bill after correction.
I hope this information is useful. In case of any further queries
regarding the same pelase revert else do confirm the message.

  • Billing document and invoice

    Hi all,
What is the difference between billing document and invoice
    Thanks,
    Charles.

    Hi,
Both are same in SD point of view.
In SD terminology we call as Billing Document and
In FI terminology we call as INVOICE.
In MM again only INVOICE will be there for Vendors.
Invoice is document indicating to delivery goods and Billing is a receipt of payment.

  • What is the difference between billing document and invoice??

    Hello all,
I am an ABAPer but I have less business knowledge.. What types of billing docs are there? Is table VBRK used for all of them? What makes a billing doc. an invoice? What are the tables and tcodes for invoice as compared to that for billing doc?
    Thanks,
Hope you answer all my questions here... I will award points.
    Best regards,
    Charles.

Billing document is a general term that includes - sales invoice, debit memo, credit memo and cancellation documents.
In layman's term, invoice usually refers to the sales invoice, or what you send to your customer as your company's bill or charges.
So, all billing documents are not invoices..But all invoices are billing documents
Usually, Invoice is document indicating to delivery goods and Billing is a receipt of payment
Tables are VBRK & VBRP. For flow, go to transaction VF03, enter document number and hit 'Display Document Flow' button on toolbar
VBRK and VBRP holds billing/invoice details..
    Billing Document:
Generic term for invoices, credit memos, debit memos, pro forma invoices and cancellation documents.
The tables are VBRK and VBRP.
    2) -- once u do PGI the delivery document will be created. There is no way to stop it.. The thing u can to do go to the list of created deliveries in VL09. Select the delivery doc which u created. There u have the option of reversing the goods or canceling it.
Billing is generic term and u can say invoice is a type of billing document.
After PGI only way left is to cancel it by Using TCODE MBST as this Tcode is used to cancel any material document.
Invoice (F2) is a type of billing document. There are many billing documents like
    F1 - Order related Invoice
    F2 - Delivery related Invoice
F5 - Proforma Invoice for sales order
F8 - Proforma invoice for deliveries
    G2 - Credit memo
    L2 - Debit memo

  • Proforma Invoice - For IC Export

    Hi Gurus
    I have a below scenario
This is regarding Intercompany scenario for export sales , Normally when we do export sales we have SAP Standard billing types ( Proforma F8 delivery related and F5 Order Related ) sometimes at the request of the client when they need a proforma invoice even before the delivery happens for an item with item category ( TAN) , SAP does allow us to create Proforma as they are std settings already maintained in SAP between OR and F5 and Item cat TAN
Now when it comes to Intercompany scenarios export sales processing , if we need to have delivery related proforma invoice its possible by implementing the Snote - 445763 and for order related invoices we have note 833115.
Now i would like to know from experts if a requirement for creating a proforma invoice for IC export sales referring to sales order for item cat TAN how can we map this as i understand TAN is delivery relevant , but what i am pointing is a replica of OR-F5 ( for delivery item cat TAN ) for intercomoany scenarios
i have gone through certain posts but i got information on order related IC proforma and Delivery related IC Proforma
But i need it specific to creating a Proforma Invoice for intercompany billing IV with a deliver item cat TAN , how to achieve this and what setting and precautions to be taken in copy control and configuration
    Regards
    Hiba

    Hi Manh
Thanks for your mail, well yes as you mentioned above correctly for OR and TAN we do have SAP Standard settings  wherein we can create proforma invoice F5
But my requirement is similar to the above requirement if we have scenario for Proforma Invoice ( Intercompany ) wherein for sales order having a delivery relevant item , I need system to create a Intercompany Proforma Invoice referencing to Sales Order
Intercompany invoice ( Proforma ) referencing sales order delivery relevant item
Please let me know how can we map the above
    Many Thanks

For updation of excise related sales returns, run J1IH and do the following:-

Choose the Additional excise input the original excise invoice reference, document year, company code, plant and excise group and execute. There input manually what value you need to give credit and save.
    Cenvat Debit
Choose Other Adjustment and here also, maintain the datas whatever you input as above and save.
