Billing Information "None" option
Hello,
I am trying to download a free application using my Apple Id and the password but in the Billing Information step, there is no "None" option and I do not have a credit card. What can I do ?

Thanks for this link but I have already checked that. It states that in Billing Information step there is a "None" option and the steps shows you the way to create a new account so it is not so helpful for me.

Follow the article:
You must first sign out from existing account.
Settings > Store > Apple ID :youroldID > Sign Out
Then go to App Store to buy a Free App.
From popup window. select Create New AppleID
Indicate Store location and provide necessary information
None option will then be available -
I was directed to Itunes because I am trying to update my Apps but my billing information is decling it because my checking account has been expired, i was told to go to payment changes and select the option "None" but I do not have an option for that and just trying to find out a way to change my billing information to none so that I am able to update and download free apps!
Apple’s having trouble with the iTunes Store servers right now. Wait for them to resolve the issue.

TS1646 There is no option of "none" in billing information !!!
I tried to update my apps which i downloaded free from Appstore but there is some error message shown to me said ' update billing information'
I tried to cancel my visa information but there is no option of "None" appear in payment information!

If None is not available - On your computer launch iTunes and click “iTunes Store” in the left navigation pane. Click the “down arrow” next to your name at the top right side of the page and click “Account.” Enter your username and password and click “View Account” to log into your account information. Next to your Payment Type, click “Edit.” Select the “None” button and click “Done.” Confirm that your card has been removed by returning to the Apple account information screen. Under Payment Type, it should say that there is no credit card on file.

You are creating a new account ? If you are then you didn't follow, exactly, the instructions on that HT2534 page when you created it - I've just tried those instructions and I got the 'none' option on the payments screen.

cancelled debit card associated with my itunes account, recently redeemed a $50 gift card and used about $40 halfway through downloading the purchases a message appeared saying incorrect payment information. I all the purchases can be downloaded for free but it asks me to sign in and i hit the sane wall saying payment information is incorrect. i tried removing cancelled debit card from billing information but i can not find the "none" option when i click edit. any help would be appreciated.

I tried creating id on appstore but i am unable to do so. as instructed in forum i tried making id but in forum there shows 4 options in billing informations including "None" option but in my cell when i tried to create id i just got 2 options which are:
1. VISA
2. MASTER

HT2534 Why do I not see the "none" option under Billing Information?
In Apple's instructions, there should be a None option in the dropdown for billing information under visa, mastercard, amex, but I don't see this anymore!
You won't see None until you start using the Credit Card.

I have an Apple ID and a password, but when I try to sign in I am asked to review my account. When I click okay, it takes me to the billing information page and since I do not use or have a credit card anymore, I want to change the payment option, but there does not seem to be anyway to change this, as the only options available for payment are three different types of credit cards. How do I edit this information so I can pay by PayPal or have the payment option as none? I would like to be able to purchase music using a PayPal account. I have sent three emails to support and have not been able to fix this problem. Would appreciate any help on how I can change the payment information.

You have to use your credit card and make a few purchases before you can get the "None" option.

I just went through the same situation with my daughter's Apple account. When there are declined transactions in the account, the "none" option isn't available. I temporarily entered valid credit card info, downloaded pending/declined items and then the "none" payment option showed up. You can also try the "Reset all warnings for buying and downloading" option on the account information screen in iTunes. I haven't used it but I'm guessing doing so deletes the pending/declined transaction history.

If you dont have none option then you must own itunes some money. So you have to enter the payment like a itunes giftcard. you can contact itunes by email by going to expresslane.apple.com
