Billing is created on past dates

Dear gurus,
*The sales order is created for 29/09/2011, for this order if i create a billing document on the past, like 02/09/2011 then the system is getting accepted creating a billing document.*
How this is possible? Even the futuristic date like 29/10/2011 are also accepted.
My question is how the system allows to create the billing for the past against the sales order.
regards
kannan

Hi Kannan ,
As lakshmi said ,  If it is order related billing, system will consider the field Billing Date from sale order. If it is delivery related, system will consider Actual GI Date from Delivery. But, If you change the Billiing date manually in billing document , Standard system will allow you to put as we can post MIRO for the past date. If you dont want to allow the users not to post the billing document for the past date of sales order , you can achieve this through any user exits which can compare sales order and billing posting date then allow for posting.

  • Posting a billing doc with a past date

    Hi Friends,
I have a requirement to post a billing doc to accoutnts with a past date i.e  posting date < system date .
    Is that possible ?
    Regards
    Mahesh.

    Hi Mahesh,
Posting date in billing document gets copied from the actual goods issue date in the deluvery document.
Ideally your goods issue and billing should be done in the same posting period.
If you are aware of all these and still wants to change then during creation of billing doc, you can goto billing header data and input your date(billing date).

  • Billing Date change to past date.

    Hi,
Basically, I want to change the billing dates of few Invoices generated on 4 December 2008 to 29 November 2008 due to some tax changes in business.
Is there any way we can change the billing date of an invoice to a past date?

    Dear Christino,
    Check with,
    T. Code: VF02
Key-in your Invoice Doc. No. and "Enter"
    From menu bar,
Go To --> Header --> Header
Under Tab: Accounting Data, there is one Field: Billing Date, which would be in Editable-mode.
Change the Billing Date, as required.

  • Foreign trade--Billing document should not be created with missing data

    Hi,
We have foreign trade set up. In that we defined incompletion schema at line item level with commodity code and country of origin as "Field ready for input - Incompletion check active".
Can anybody tell me that, in the above setup,  is it possible to avoid the creation of billing document with missing above data.
Generally ,  system will go for the accounting status for block with foreign trade data missing.  But our users don't want to create the billing document if the data is missing.
    Can any body suggest us.
    Rajesh.

    Hi Rajesh
You have to set up a new subroutine or you have to copy the standard subroutine and include the logic that it should read the foreign  trade details at both sales order and delivery levels.you need to assign the subroutine in both  VTFL and VTFA copy controls (header and item levels)
Another option is you have to go with user exit RV60AFZZ.Please refer this link, hope it should solve your problem

  • Delivery schedule dates are coming in Past dates

    Hi Friends,
In the Scheduling Agreements the delivery schedule dates are coming in the past dates even tough the scheduling agreements are having new schedules. There is also open quantities there for the scheduling agreements.
please kindly explain me what is the delivery schedule date in Scheduling Agreement.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Kannan M

    Hi Khan,
Just check this thease might be the reasons to get correct the delivery schedule.
To access a delivery schedule, mark a scheduling agreement item and choose Goto ® Item ® .
The following data is displayed in the delivery schedule tabstrip:
    ·        Delivery schedule number and date
    ·        A wide range of standard cumulative quantities
    ·        Delivery information
To display deliveries for the delivery schedule, choose Deliveries on the delivery schedule tabstrip.
In scheduling agreements involving external agents, the system displays deliveries made to the customer by external agents as consignment issues.
    ·        Correction delivery information
To display or create correction deliveries, choose Corr. delivery on the delivery schedule tabstrip.
    ·        An analysis function
    ·        Information at a glance
To display a summary of delivery schedule data, choose Short disp. on the delivery schedule tabstrip.
    ·        Schedule lines
Choose DlvSch.Hdr on the delivery schedule tabstrip to access the delivery schedule header. The following data is displayed here:
    ·        Information on quantities received by the customer
    ·        Information on the customer fiscal year and cumulative quantities reset due to a year change
    ·        A wide range of cumulative go-ahead quantities
    ·        Notes on the delivery schedule
    Correcting Cumulative Delivered Quantities
    Prerequisites
You correct cumulative quantities in scheduling agreements:
    ·        In case of returns
    ·        When there has been a processing error
    ·        When there has been a year change
    ·        When you are transferring initial quantities from a legacy system into the SAP System
To do this, you create a correction delivery within the delivery schedule itself. This delivery is not relevant for requirements planning, shipping, goods issue, or billing.
Correct cumulative quantities only when the customer has not posted goods receipt.
    Procedure
To create a correction delivery (document type LFKO):
           1.      Choose Corr. delivery on the delivery scheduletabstrip.
The system displays a dialog box in which you enter a:
    -         Correction delivery date
For help on deciding where you want to position the correction delivery, choose Display. The system lists delivery dates in chronological order.
    -         Correction quantity
Enter a negative correction quantity by placing a minus sign after the quantity.
           2.      Choose Enter and save the scheduling agreement.
    Result
When you save the correction delivery, the system updates the cumulative quantities in the delivery schedule.
To display correction deliveries, choose Deliveries on the delivery schedule tabstrip, or  Environment ®  Display document flow.
    Example
Your customer returns 200 pieces of material from a delivery made on 7/10 because of damage during transport. Several other deliveries have been made before you prepare the correction delivery, so you view a list and choose an appropriate date. In this case you decide on 7/14 because it occurs after the delivery on 7/10 and before the delivery on 7/15.

  • Not to allow to save the billing document in the back date if FI period clo

Can anybody help me please. My FI period for october is closed. But there are still some open delivery documents in billing due list for October. So now let say on 7th december if i will make the billing documents by giving the date 30.11.2007 logically as FI period is closed it will allow to save the billing document but will not pass to accounting.
So this normaly happening in my industry endusers are creating the billing documents in the back date even after the period close so all the documents come into VFX3.
So can any body help me? Can we have any check if the FI period is closed for a perticular months if we will try to make the billing documents in the closed period it will not allow to generate the billing document rather saving the documents and blocking for accounting.

    Dear laxmikanta
I also not come across the situation what you said and hence dont have much idea about authorization group.
However, on going through the F1 help, it says
    <b>Procedure</b>
If only a limited set of users is to be able to post in a particular
        posting period, proceed as follows:
o   Add the posting period authorization (authorization object
F_BKPF_BUP) to the authorizations of the selected users. Assign an
            authorization group (e.g. '0001').
o   Enter the account type '+' for the posting period variant to which
the restriction is to apply. Enter the period(s) whose use is to be
restricted in the first period, those which are available to all
users in the second period, and the authorization group (e.g.
            '0001') in the last column.
    <b>Examples</b>
A posting period can be successively restricted. If, e.g. 10 users have
the posting period authorization with authorization group '0001', and 3
of these 10 users also with authorization group '0002'.
If the period is only to be accessible to the 10 selected users the
authorization group '0001' is entered in the posting period variant.
Access can later be restricted to the remaining 3 users by entering
        '0002'.
From the above, I feel your requirement can be met.
    Thanks

process order >settings> scheduling parameters in menu bar of process order.

  • Past data usage?

I realize my plan is unlimited, but I wonder if anyone knows of a way to obtain a record of the past data used on my account (in GB per month over, say, the last year) - I'm curious and shopping around for alternatives, so want to know how much data I've actually used.  I contacted chat online (15 minutes), billing (15 more min) and tech support (another 15) and no one can tell me.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Downtime Management - planned outage entry for a past date?

Using downtime management with success, however I forgot to enter a 'planned downtime' for some ad-hoc maintenance work a couple of weeks back. I now have a large outage spike appearing in my system availability reports (CCMSBISUITE) when I know it was a bit of planned outage work so should really be discounted. I have recurring a downtime window for our standard outage day, but this planned work happened outside of that window.
Is it somehow possible to create a 'planned downtime' event for a past date, which will 'smooth' out the outage spike appearing in the BI reports? I'm getting 'invalid date' entries when trying to do so with Downtime Manager, but though someone might know how to do this if it's possible.
    Thanks
    Daniel

I think you are out of luck on this one.  However it would not be too hard to develop your own report for creating a retroactive downtime.  We have done some analysis of the code for making our own enhancements to DTM and you will find CL_DSWP_DTM_MANAGER to be a good starting point if you have an ABAPer.
But I wouldn't invest too much in any custom solution, as DTM will be completely replaced in SolMan 7.1 (see note 1517275 and the help at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm71_sp01/helpdata/en/bf/5a62721652477592bf3441cc5ab6ec/frameset.htm); the new feature seems like it will be much more general (an overall IT Calendar) but will actually remove some features in a step backwards (for example you will have to find somewhere else to document system crashes and other unplanned outages...).  If we get into the ramp-up I will report back to this thread on the specifics of retroactive downtime documentation in SolMan 7.1 if I find anything interesting.

  • Paste Data Point to Power Point

Is there a way to force the "paste data point" area to conform only to the size (auto-size if you will) of the power point slide? I am pasting a data point from Excel and it always carries the data columns way off the screen, making the process of alignment very work-intensive. Thoughts or workarounds?
I tried using the Power Point "Group" function, and then resizing the group. This works, however, you cannot retrieve after grouping the data points. :(

As I see you are using LV in a wrong way. Why don't you run the DAQ tasks in independent while loops? You could use the same Queue, and you can add time stamps to every data package (or also a label to show the source) created in the several Producer loops. In your single Consumer loop you can just decide what to do with the data depending on the label (save to File,etc...).
Other big problem: do not use DAQ Assistant! It is OK for quick testing, but not for real application! These Express VIs initializes and closes your hardware at EVERY while loop iteration.
You should use proper DAQmx VIs: initialize your HW resources BEFORE the while loop, do your DAQ inside the loop, and close HW components when you stop the application.
There are many examples shipped with LabVIEW, have a look how to use DAQmx VIs. Also, this way you avoid the silly dynamic data wires...Much easier to live with Double arrays

    Dear all,
This is my first query to this forum so expecting a fast and prompt reply.
I have query is when i am posting a grn against a PO i can post in the past date then the PO date.
I dont want it to allow GR in the past date than the PO. Can anybody tell me how to solve?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
We can control the GR posting..not more then the Latest GR date whaic can be mentioned in the PO item level...
For this also message M7163 has to be set up has E instead of W.
But if you create a Po today (04/16/2008),, std system will allow to Pst the Gr with past days' based on the period opened.
To meet the specific req. you can use USER EXIT:
MB_CF001                                Customer Function Exit in the Case of Updating a Mat. Doc.
MBCF0011                                Read from RESB and RKPF for print list in  MB26

  • Copy & Paste Data to htmlb:textEdit

    Hi,
when I Copy & Paste Data from MS Office to <htmlb:textEdit> the following occurs:
    1) In the <htmlb:textEdit> note, the content is displayed without formatting. (OK)
    2) Saved content is displayed without formatting in the backend. (OK)
    3) Printing the content via SmartForms/Adobe pdf, #-signs are appearing. For example, spaces created with the tab key are displayed as ###.  (PROBLEM!)
Are there anybody who knows how I can solve this problem. Basically, I just want to print what I see in my web application.
I suspect that the <htmlb:textEdit> control is not completely removing all formatting from MS Office.
    What do you think?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    /Elvez

    Hi Elvez,
I experienced, that the textedit uses '##' to identify a carriage return. We simply remove the placeholder, if we have to use the value of a textedit in other contexts.
I don't think that it is related to the copy from MS Office, since the textedit takes erverything as plain text.

  • Creation of Technical POD nd Assigning Meter to it in Past Date

    Hi,
The requirement is to create a technical point of delivery and assigning a meter to it at a past date.
I tried this manually through EEDM09 transaction as well however it doesnot allow in past date.
Is any confirguration required to achieve this?
It will be nice if you can advice with some way to achieve this functionality
    Thanks,
    Sarvesh

    Hi Sarvesh,
It should be possible to assign a technical POD to a meter in a past date.
Have you checked the from dates in the header data of the POD.
and also the date of allocation in the 'Alloc' tab.
The meter should be having 'Installed' status for allocation.
Please revert back for any clarifications.
