Billing Legacy master & transactional data conversion/migration in SAP ISU

Hi Experts,
Please let me know, in ISU implementation project, what is Billing related Legacy master & transactional data conversion/migration is done in SAP ISU system.
Thanks in advance

Pankaj,
There is no straight forward transaction to download the Configuration data and export it to a file.
However, you can use the BC set functionality to extract the IMG node with its contents.
Check the following  SAP help portal link for more info on BC sets
Business Configuration Sets (BC-CUS) - SAP Library
The archive data that you are talking about; Is it master data or transaction data?
Also, what this data is related to-Financial Documents, Billing related info?
There is one standard transaction SARA through which based on the migration object you can archive the data and export it into a file in a particular location..
Hope it helps..
Thanks,
AB

  • Sample Master, Transaction data files for BPC learning

I am new to BPC and trying to learn on my own. I have access to the system and access to training material (all legal by the way). I don't have access to the files used in the training (master, transaction data and conversion files). It will be a big help if someone can share these files. Someone who has attended official SAP Courses (BPC OR CPM VERSIONS).
Any independ case study files will be good too.. I have got hang of the sytem. Just need data to play around and learn.
    Thanks.
    Lukesh

the plan is to cover all the training materials.. BPC420, 430,440 in next 2-3 weeks if possible. Though Immediate need is to learn planning .
Looking at SAP training support files (I have course material) or any complete case study data which I can do from scratch.. I have just been doing it for 3-4 days.. already understand the basic stuff.. Pretty comfortable with SAP ECC & BW (both technical and function stuff)..

  • Master/Transaction data from ECC to APO-BW

    Hi All,
Normally we come across scenarios where Master/Transaction data is pulled from ECC to BW and then pulled into APO-BW. What are the pros and cons of CIF (direct connection between ECC and APo-BW) rather than pulling data from ECC to stand-alone BW and then into APO-BW?
    Regards,
    Joy

    Hi Santhana,
If you want to add data of ECC to APO BW & Then in to DP, then follow the following Steps.
    1. Create Generic Data Source in ECC for thet Sales Order table.
    2. Replicate that data Source in to APO BW with Source System.
    3. Create whole data flow process by using created Data Source.
Data Flow Process: 1. Info Package
                                      2. Info Source
                                      3. Info Cube
                                      4. Transformation between DS & IS, Then IS & IC
                                      5. Data Transfer Process.
    4. Load data from ECC to APO BW
    5. Use transaction /n/sapapo/tscube, for copy Info Cube data to Planning Area.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Data conversion/migration

    Hi,
what kind of data conversion/migration are we looking in plant maintenance and inventory management?
    Regards,
    Vijay

    Dear Vijay Srikanth,
I think you are asking for all such activities in Plant Maintenance which can be automated using some data conversion / data migration programs. Where by the user will just upload his data and the activity is achieved by the program. Please refer to the following documentation and search for the term 'Activites in Plant Maintenance'.

  • Loading master/transaction data from BI to NW BPC

    hi
what is best way of loading master & transaction data from BI to BPC?
I know around 6 options for loading master data and 5 options for loading transactional data from BI to BPC .
What is easiest and recommended method? what is typical method followed in your NW bpc projects?
    thanks,.

    Hi Raju,
There is a white paper on Loading master data. I've used it previously and both options work quite well. You can use either of them depending on what you are comfortable with. Its available on the HOW To white papers.

  • CIF - Master/Transactional Data From ECC to APO

Working on CIF Data From ECC6.0 to APO(SCM 5.0)..
If i choose MRP type XO in ECC - Master Data & Transactional Data is moving properly to APO.
As we are using MRP in ECC6.0..and the MRP Type is PD...
I want to CIF the Master Data & Transactional Data using MRP Type PD? is it possible? How?
    Regards,
    Rajesh Patil

    Hi Rajesh,
As visu rightly indicated, it is always safer to use XO while planning in APO.  Still, if the business requirement compels to use PD, you can cif with PD, then copy the data from active to an inactive version and then carry out the simulation planning.  Once results are copied, you can change the mrp type to xo in R/3 and re-cif it.  Then you can compare the result in APO between active and inactive versions.

  • PA - Transaction Data Conversion

    Dear Experts,
Any one could help me what logic we have to follow when we do Data Conversion for PA for PA Transactional Data
    Thanks
    Bharath

    Hi
You will need to upload the historical costs of the projects as miscellaneous transactions into PA TRANSACTIONS INTERFACE table.
It is recomended to set up a Transaction Source that will be used for conversion. Transactions would be already accounted, so system will not need to distribute those again in PA.
Usually companies tend to convert the historic cost of projects in summary, and not each EI separately. You could upload a transaction for summary amount by project, task, type, organization and period.

  • Oracle Meter Data Management Integration with SAP ISU

    Hello Everyone,
I am aware of the fact that Oracle has released a Media pack for the subject integration as discussed here and that media pack works only for SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 5 with ISU_AMI_2.
We have got OU MDM Release 2.1 Media Pack v4 and SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 4 with ISU_AMI_1 and hence Adapter in MDM won't help to achieve integration with SAP as our SAP EHP is lower than what is required for the MDM adapter. We have got SAP PI which would help the SAP End in the integration.
What are the possible work-around(s) to achieve the integration between Oracle MDM and SAP ISU without using the Media Pack/Adapter?
How does MDM exposes its services (inbound/outbound) to be consumed/triggered by External systems (i.e. SAP ISU)?
List of Services (inbound/outbound) exposed by Oracle MDM for integration?
Your time and help is much appreciated.

Did you find the document Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing - Meter Data Management Integration Implementation Guide?
I searched on eDelivery and Oracle Support, but cannot find the document.

  • Loading transaction data to CRM and SAP/R3 from legacy system

Where can I find information about expected timing to load orders from a legacy system to CRM and SAP R/3? Does anyone know how long it would take to do the update in CRM using RFC's and BAPI's and then load to SAP/R3 if the order had an average of 3.2 line items per order and there were 50.7 million orders? It is assumed we would run multiple loads concurrently. So I guess a better question is how long does it normally take to load one order with 3.2 line items onto CRM and also SAP R/3?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Qutubuddin,
Can you please let me know how you achieved moving data from non sap system to r3 using webdynpro java?

  • Data migration from SAP to Oracle

Can any one suggest best possible method for migrating master and transactional data from SAP to Oracle.
Please suggest methods to get data in text file from SAP.

Best approach would be to use Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) outbound from SAP inbound to Oracle. There are two widely used standards in EDI messages - ANSI X12 and EDIFACT; I'm pretty sure the Oracle system will be able to accept one of the two standards or both.
In my last message, when I asked if Oracle is able to receive and process IDocs, I actually meant if Oracle will be able to accept and process EDI messages. IDocs are containers of the EDI message i.e. a data container - their formats are SAP proprietary formats which will not make sense to your target system (Oracle). EDI has been around for many years and is the standard way of electronically exchanging business documents between computer systems of business partners, using a standard format over a communication network.
In regards to your question - I'm not really sure if you want to send master/transactional data real-time from SAP to Oracle or want to transfer the historical data i.e. download from SAP tables (thru SE16 - this will download the field labels as well) into text files and then upload it to Oracle by using a custom program which reads/maps the files then posts the transactional data/updates master data tables in Oracle as required by that system. So let me know as much details as possible.
It would be nice to show appreciation by rewarding points.
    Cheers,
    Sougata.

  • Transaction Data Migration

Is there a "best practice" for transaction data conversions from a legacy system into R/3? I am in a project where I have to create a strategy for SCM transaction data (PO's, Inventory, Vendor Invoices, and so on). I would like to know the pros and cons of migrating a PO in their various stages (Open, G/R but not yet invoiced, Partial G/R). Basically a strategy to propose to my client regarding their SCM transaction data.
    Thanks for your help!!!!

    hi,
    For uploading the GLs :-->
Use FB50  entry Dr GL a/c  Credit Data migration a/c or controlling a/c
For uploading the Vendor balances : -->
Use FB60 entry Dr Data migration a/c or controlling a/c and credit Vendor a/c (individually)
For uploading the Customers balances :-->
Use FB70  entry Dr Customers a/c (individually)  Cr  Data migration a/c or controlling a/c
    For uploading the Assets-->
AS91 -> for uploading assets in AA
OSAV --> for uploading assets in GL   entry Dr Asset (invidiually) Cr Data Migration account or controlling account
You can use LSMW for uploading all these things
After uploading all, your data migration account will become zero.
For posting the transactional data use LSMW for relevant TCODES

  • DP - Master Data & Transaction Data mapping

    Hi APO Gurus,
I need to create a document for mapping APO DP master & transaction data to the fields of a logical modelling DB.
I would appreciate if any of you have any information as to how to go about it or if you have any similar doc, please email me at [email protected]
All your help is highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Ritu

    Hi ritu,
What exactly is your requirement. Unfortunately I am a functional consultant and not the best person to give technical details. However please note that APO especially DP does not store data in only DB tables (like R/3), instead uses liveCache which is based an OODB. The transactions access data in liveCache through standard COM routines. The SAP suggested way to access data to and from liveCache is through use of BAPIs.
The other point to note is that APO-DP is totally customisable as per client requirement. That is to say while there is some standard business content provided (by way of some characteristics, keyfigures and couple of planning areas) most clients created their own content - starting from characteristics, keyfigures, planning object structure, planning area, planning book/data view etc. As a result it is difficult to give standard field names for mapping.
DP Master Data is actually Characteristic-Value-Combinations (CVCs) that are based on the custom characteristics defined in the Master Planning Object Structure. Transaction data is timeseries data in keyfigures which is defined in the Planning Area. Since all these objects are customisable - standard field level mapping may not be possible.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Somnath

  • DP-Master data & transactional data

    Hi all,
Can someone help me in differentiating between Master data & Transactional data in Demand Planning (DP) & Supply Network Planning (SNP)..
How do we create both of them in DP & SNP..& how do we use them for Planning.
    Regards,
    Vishal.S.Pandya.

    hi vishal,
Because master data is always loaded before transactional data, ... SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization Demand Planning allows you to forecast your .Assignment of customer requirements to planning product Sales orders (customer requirements) consume the planning product’s forecast in the planning without final assembly segment. The forecast released from Demand Planning is for the planning product and the forecast consumption of the planning product is carried out whenever a sales order is received for one of the real products linked to the planning product via the hierarchy
    see this link

    Sales & Operations Planning
    main process
The continued pressures on performance, including shrinking margins, inventory expense, and pressure to better utilize assets require an evolved Sales and Operations Planning process.
This process now needs to integrate not only the pictures of demand and supply, but to evaluate the effects on the financial plan for the company.
To support this business process, SAP xSOP provides analytic tools as well as process management and data maintenance tools.
Processes such as Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Strategic Financial Planning feed into the Executive S&OP process where the plans are analyzed and adjusted to match the strategic goals of the company.
Demand Analysis and Update The process of analyzing and updating the demand plan provides the most accurate projection of product sales with input and buy-in from sales, marketing, and channel partners. The xSOP tool can be used to show plans from Sales, Marketing and the Demand Planning group along with promotional plans.
These plans can be analyzed from an S&OP perspective and the S&OP demand plan can be updated to reflect the strategic goals. The follow-up process is to balance demand with supply and resolve supply issues.
Generate Demand Plan, Sales Plan and/or Marketing Plan
    Load Master Data into xSOP
Load transactional data (plans) into xSOP
    Analyze using Demand Analytics
